You REALY don't want to see this in your rearview mirror as this truck is killer! This 8-wide LEGO MOC is inspired by the villain vehicle (driven by an unseen psycho trucker) as featured in the TV production-turned-feature film "Duel", which was Steven Spielberg's first feature-length film by the way. It also uses parts of the truck in Jurassic World set 76948 (T. rex & Atrociraptor Dinosaur Breakout) as a general guide to the cab area, and CITY set 60357 (Stunt Truck and Ring of Fire Challenge) for the area forward of the actual driver's compartment. The 1955 Peterbuilt 281 'needlenose' semi truck, with tanker trailer attached, is what was used in the film originally. Later, as the film was extended for theatrical release, a 351 was used as a stand-in for more scenes due to the original truck being... unable to fulfill it's role. (watch the movie so you know what I mean!) I've tried to make it as accurate as possible to the original 251, with the AC unit behind the cab, sleek streamlined 1950's tanker design, and single exhaust pipe in black. There is a steering wheel in the cab, but no way to place a figure at the controls. This is because we never see the driver's face in the film. So putting a placeholder in there would be totally inaccurate. The tanker by itself, balanced upright by my finger on the back bumper. This is because I didn't add jacks / stands underneath the trailer that are used when the cab is separated from the trailer. The truck seen in most (some added scenes used a 351 model of the same truck maker) of the 1971 action-thriller film is a 1955 Peterbilt 281, which Steven Spielberg selected because of the long hood of the Peterbilt, its split windshield, and its round headlights gave it more of a "face", adding to its menacing personality. Additionally, Spielberg said that the multiple license plates on the front bumper of the Peterbilt subtly suggested that the truck driver is a serial killer, having "run down other drivers in other states". Hello I'd like to present my small-scale RC semi truck. It has PF Servo, XL motor and sbrick mounted in the cab/frame and the battery is neatly mounted in the trailer that also has a two-stage ramp driven by single L motor and Technic strings. The cables go through the hole in trailer saddle (big turntable) to connect sbrick with battery and ramp motor with sbrick at the back of sleeping cab. My dear fellow Eurobricks people, finally, again after a too long while, I managed to prepare something edible (I hope ) out of the finest ABS we all love so much. Let me introduce you my take on Kenworth W900... I’m a bit ashamed to admit, that this MOC was finished already in early 2018 and it took me until now, to prepare the photos and a video of it. This was built for our LUG’s 20th exhibition KockeFest, that took place in March 2018. It was the time when LEGO Technic Mack Anthem came out, so the theme of Technic section of the exhibition was, naturally, "container trucks and container handling machinery" in same scale as the Mack. We agreed on slightly longer containers, because, let’s be honest, the one on the Mack is a bit too short… so here it is… This whole eighteen-wheeler is some 108 studs long (87 cm) and 16 studs wide (13 cm), well the wheels might be getting close to 17 studs. The truck alone is about 50 studs (40 cm) long. The size of the containers, we agreed upon, was 15 x 15 x 37 studs (+1 for the door handles so 38 actually) and they represented 20 ft containers. As you can see from the photos, my semi-trailer could carry 2 of them. I used 1 PF L motor for propulsion and PF servo for steering. Another PF L motor was used for remote fifth wheel lock. It could be powered both with standard PF receivers and LEGO AAA battery boxes or with Buwizz. It was all hidden in the cabin’s sleeper. There was another AAA battery box on the trailer to power PF M motor for the trailer supports. Front axle is not suspended, but uses virtual pivot steering instead. It was the only way to make so tight mudguards above them and although steering angle is not the best, I think it did the job fine enough. Due to the bulky setup of servo and virtual pivot steering, I was a bit lazy under the hood, so there is nothing else there. I guess I could mock up some engine, but the way the hood was attached (it can’t be opened), it felt a bit pointless. There is some unrealistic pendular suspension on both rear axles, but I couldn’t do more on such a thin chassis. I used rubber connectors as dampers. Because the chassis is so slim, it slightly twists when throttle is applied. Here’s how this lady looks topless and below the skirt… There are some minor details in and on the the cabin, the sleeper was, as already mentioned, filled with electronics. Since this is a semi, it needs a fifth wheel, of course. It is remotely locked and I totally took the cream off of the brilliant 6x6 Truck with Tipper Semi Trailer by Pipasseyoyo, with great ratchet design for the lock. Ratchet for the fifth wheel lock below the sleeper… Fifth wheel + hitch/tow ball (I hope that’s what it’s called)... The trailer was built with Technic bricks - studs down and was sturdy enough for the two containers. It had its own receiver and battery box to operate the supports. The two tandem axles were damped with rubber connectors and adapted to the ground really well. Please forgive me for not filming the movement of the two . I hope the photos will suffice. 1950's Rust-eze modular factory with boxcars and semi-truck - real life MOC's

Introducing the Rust-eze factory, which is where they make the rust remover / chrome restorer product Inspired by / not quite the same as the one seen in the CARS & PLANES shared universe from Disney / Pixar . I have set this building in my transition-era layout, which means the 40's through the mid-1980's, as the steam / diesel mix era continued longer on my alt-timeline. Their is a small 0-6-0ST switcher that services the factory as seen above and here in it's own topic. The factory without the train in front. The rear of the factory, with the ladder to the top of the chimney flue. The detachable roof can be removed, however I never really finished the inside part, and probably never will as I haven't a clue what to put in there machinery-wise. The loading doors do open, and were modified from the original arched doors as they couldn't fit a forklift... then again, these doors might not either! I was inspired by this photo by JB Lego to build these boxcars as seen here. They are made to haul pallets of cargo, specifically Rust-eze chrome restorer in 55-gallon drum containers for commercial packaging at another facility into smaller containers. This model was heavily inspired by set 8486, (Mack's Team Truck) from 2011. I changed the model to seat one mini figure at the wheel, added new headlights and license plate plus revised the fenders and enlarged the cab. The rear of the semi features a opening door and fold-down trailer stand, while the cab has two moving driver's doors. The trailer no longer has opening sides, but it does have two opening rear doors and folding stand for when the cab pulls away. Speaking of the cab, the roof of the driver's compartment comes off and both doors open. I hoped this factory would be of some use for some people, as the original always has been gathering dust in the basement since it was built, as seen below: This is the original factory that was by my Dad around the years 2000 - 2004. it was built with parts from several Sand Red supplemental packs available at that time. It does not feature any interior, nor does it have a removable roof. But this thing is built STRONG: you have to really put your weight on it to press the roof together. Yes, I used the new 1x2 bottom curved pieces! Chrome Galore! Sleeping Compartment Yellow Diesel Engine, just like Caterpillar's engines! (because blue is childish and I wanted it to look more appealing to teens!) Cabin now up to 2010s standards so far! Seats now upgraded with curved headrests! Feeling hungry enough for pizza already? Hi, i'm having problems with consistency of finding the correct scale when building with unimog tires (Tire 94.3 x 38 R) are you building on the 1:10, 1:12 scale or 1:11 scale? The unimog tires are about 4 1/4 inches in diameter. Some semi tires are 22 1/2 and 36 inches in diameter. A semi is about 8 1/2 feet wide. Do the math: -

I' ve made a scale model of semi-trailer truck with a trailer. It's in 1:60 scale, so wouldn't look out of place in a minifigure scale Lego City. But it is remotely controlled. Hi eurobrickers This is what we will talking about here: a mini scale semi dump truck based on a Mercedes Arocs 6X4 and a solid tilting bed mounted on one 3 axle trailer. This time I decided to keep it small. My son asked me for something simple this time but fun to play with. So I do. I worked hard on the design of this little set. The smaller it is hardest the design is I found. I am however quiet happy with the end result. From the front view you can see I choose a contrasted color scheme for this truck. Regular blue frame, white cab and black to simulate the plastic covers and accessories of the cab. I place light, traffic signs, rear view mirror, antenna and gyro on the top. All we need to make it look good, as in real life model. The top view show the roof treatment. This part was particularly hard to find. You have a discreet HOG, the security roof trap that opens and two small panels to finish the roof line Viewed from the back you can see I managed a space for the rear window, exhaust pipe, spare wheel and a toolbox. I do not forget the back lighting with one projector but also rear stop and traffic lights. The 5th wheel is a simple pin connection. I found another system (mechanical lock) but it doesn't match perfectly the scale of the model so I decided to remove it. But there is something more about this cab...it tilts and the doors can be opened showing the interior with two seats and steering wheel (not it is not operational ) The complete model is 36X8X11 cm. I am particulary satisfied with the proportion of the whole thing. Rear view of the trailer, same detail attention than for the tractor unit. You can see at first plan the locking system of the bed's door (simple friction pin). And here is the view of the railer once lifted. The mecha is dead simple: one linear actuator in direct link with the HOG place on a real ergonomic place. Few pieces, great playability. The trailer as also a retractable parking support with simple linkage command and lock point to assure it's stability. Here it is: But that's not all. I manage the all wheel one good ground clearance as my son play with it on it's bed (often by night ) and I realized a quiet complex pendular suspention on all axle. The system is based on Pippasseyeyoyo's one developed on his own semi dump truck. I just scale it down a little . Suspention in action. the first axle is rigid on the tractor unit So here it is...do not hesitate to comment it and any good idea to improve it is welcome. Steph.

This is version two of set 8486 (Mack's Team Truck) 1950's style semi truck. The model can seat one mini figure at the wheel, and features headlights, license plate, and bigger wheels. I also rounded out the front of the trailer per suggestions from Eurobricks forum members @Only Sinner and @timtosino. Thanks guys! As it is now, the cab portion reminds me of the truck from the 1970s suspense movie "Duel". (if you haven't seen it, look it up: It's Steven Spielberg's first film and is awesome!) OK, well the American Semi truck is a very recent MOC, but I made the European one quite awhile ago, and just never got around to uploading the pics, so.. ....here they are. European Semi truck specs: Front wheel rack and pinion steering rear 4WD only uses 2 motors, so you could build a trailer and add a/some motorized function(s) Pictures Here is the overall model Here are some pics of the front, and back. And that is it, now for the American style semi truck, and... ... the trailer with grabber Specs of American Semi truck, and trailer (with grabber) [Truck] Rear 2WD (It's on not the back axle, but the axle before it). A recent attempt at creating a small semi, twenty three by six studs. I am happy with how the front came out. The cab is just big enough for a fully dressed minifig. The trailer has retractable support legs and an opening rear hatch. The cab can detach from the trailer and be a full vehicle in its own right (although it honestly is kinda ugly). It finally gave me an excuse to use that exhaust piece I've had laying around. Originally it was to be a typical flat nose, but those are very common semi MoCs, and I wanted to do something different, this design fits better with my vehicle style too.
