  1. "It was a Monday, a day like any other day. I left a small town for the apple in decay. It was my destiny, It's what I needed to do. They were telling me, I'm telling you. I was inside looking outside, the millions of faces, but still I'm alone. Waiting, hours of waiting, paying a penance - I was longing for home." - Foreigner and their song 'Long, long way from home' (or at least a portion of the song) This seedy, rundown looking building is a heavily modified version of half of the 2015 set 10246 (Detective Office) from the modular building line. I removed the blue barber shop building and cookie-smuggling play features, and added an exterior staircase. I also added a billboard on the opposite wall taken from the Brick Tales pop-up book's cover, plus a new, simpler water tank on the roof. Then, just for the heck of it, I decided to take my de-modularized detective office and modularize it with a removable baseplate. Why, you ask? Because I just wanted to make it usable at Gateway LUG shows since we use modular buildings, but at home I don't use modular buildings. I realized I couldn't put it on a straightaway like the original 10246 set, as there is a billboard I placed on one side that makes this impossible. Thus I put it on a corner... but wait - it's too small for a corner module! So, I decided to build in a wooden fence for the one side where the billboard is, to bring it in line with other modular buildings. I added a gate for access to the pool hall's back door, and placed a tile footing to keep the building removable from the baseplate. Naturally, this made it impossible to put in the connecting pin holes, but they are rarely used anyway so I felt confident it doesn't matter if I left them out. As you can see, the original medium nougat is changed to sand green, and the dark green awnings are now old printed slopes from the 1990's, the red POOL neon sign is now printed round tiles, among MANY other things that were changed around. The upper floor features the quite messy detective's office. Papers everywhere, a hat stand, desk fan, quite a few places to store case info and a telephone. By comparison, the pool hall is pretty sparsely decorated, with a trophy on a stand, darts / dart board, pool cues, and billiard table. Oh yeah, there is a picture on the wall too. The modular, removable base without the building attached. Be sure to mind the guard dog! For it's entire production run of fifteen million vehicles, made from 1908 to 1927, the Model T by Ford came in any color you wanted... as long as it was black. This particular Tin Lizzie's body was inspired by Calin's MOC over on Flickr. It's supposed to be based on the 1923 model year and the Detective figure fits in the drivers seat. The rear of the car with the spare tire. (I just love how Calin used the window frames mounted horizontally for the drivers cabin... it's so ingenious!) EDIT 2/4/24: I even wrote a small story about my detective, who now has the CMF Noir Detective outfit, but the same IJ hat / hair as before. "...'It's over Joe! Turn yourself in!' I screamed into the desolate train yard. Of course, no response. He knew what awaited him back at the penitentiary - the electric chair was a sweet release compared to the desolate inhuman solitude of permanent solitary confinement that awaited him. Suddenly, a movement to my right caught my eye - it was Joe, running away at full speed, bounding over switch handles and jumping rails like a scared jackrabbit in the darkness of the witching hour. I hopped in my Model T to catch up with him at full tilt, almost tearing out my suspension in the process. I grumbled to myself about sending the Feds a bill for car repairs, when I heard a lonesome wail of a steam whistle. 'So THAT'S his game!' I said to no one in particular. 'He's gonna hop a freight!' I headed for the sound, when into my headlights came a sight I'll never forget. Jailbreak Joe came to a skidding halt, trying to get close enough to the engine to hop on the front deck of the loco as it sped past. Only problem was he hit an oil patch, invisible in the darkness. He went tumbling into the path of the loco, knocking himself out in the process by hitting his head of a rail. I tried to pull him clear while the train went into emergency, whistle shrieking like a banshee all the while. Simply put, I was too late to save Joe..." Thoughts, comments, questions, and complaints welcome!
  2. This is *almost* a Disney train - Linus the 2-4-0 steam engine is from "The Brave Locomotive" that was started by Disney animator Andrew Chatsworth before he got hired, Bill Peet wrote "The Caboose who Got Loose" some years after being let go from Disney, and Conjunction Junction (part of "School House Rock!" educational TV series) was created by ABC, which is now owned by Disney. What am I talking about? Keep reading to find out! Meet Linus the Brave Locomotive, and his driver Henry! (from Andrew Chatsworth's animation on Youtube as seen here. ) I decided to make this 2-4-0 out of LEGO after watching the short over and over, as it's an inspiring tale and very well done animation-wise. I did make some changes to Linus' design from the cartoon, such as adding a number 2 to his tender and cab. I also borrowed heavily from the 2019 Disney train and 2010 Toy Story Western Train Chase sets. (Linus is actually missing one part - the smokestack from the Orient Express. The stack seen above is a stand-in and will be replaced at some point.) The rear of the engine. Sorry for the color issues with some of these photos, it's because my phone camera doesn't like taking pictures of blue objects.... no idea why. On September 29th, 1973, a new School house ROCK (link to wiki page for those unfamiliar with what that is) music video was played for the first time alongside your regular American Saturday morning cartoons such as Scooby-Doo, old Rocky and Bullwinkle show episodes and maybe some Johnny Quest. This new music video featured a diminutive stereotypical train conductor, two hobos (one fat and tall, and one small and skinny), and a train with words on it... not just any words, but CONJUNCTIONS, as the name of the video and location is Conjunction Junction. This train is shown in order above, with comments about what it could possibly be carrying in the fictional ROCK-verse. The first two (NOT + THIS) are obviously Boxcars. The BUT tanker (most likely hauling Butane) and THAT boxcar. Finally, AND (which is possibly a refrigerated goods wagon) plus an OR (ore) hopper. All together, these train cars taught (and entertained!) generations of school-age children and some older adults about Conjunctions, and other videos taught about American history, the environment, math (multiplication tables up to 12 but skipping the number 1), science, money and even early home computers! (among MANY other subjects) All of them can be found on Disney +, as Disney owns ABC, which is who made the original music videos. Heavily inspired by @zephyr1934's MOC of "Katy" from the classic children's book "The Caboose who got Loose" by ex-Disney animator Bill Peet. Zephyr's version can be seen here in his own topic. I didn't want to use stickers for Katy's eyes like what's being done by the original builder, so I decided to use the eyes from set 43186 (Bruni the Salamander buildable character) from the Disney Frozen II line . I also added a actual mouth, as just the two eyes without something between them looked kind of odd, most likely because of the specific eyes I chose. The MOC I based this on used a different method for the mouth using a lot of SNOT-work.... I used a brick with 2 studs on the sides and two quarter tiles to give her a open mouth. The roof has also been modified, and a different stove pipe added compared to what the original MOC has. However, what's a freight train without someone or somewhere to tell it where to go next? Enter the railyard dispatch center, which is not just any old building: it's the Conjunction Junction dispatch office as seen in the education cartoon series Schoolhouse Rock "Conjunction Junction" episode from September '73. I've made some changes to the original cartoon design, such as adding a removable roof to the building (for getting access to the inside details), and placing a water tower nearby for thirsty steam locomotives. The tower top rotates a full 360 degrees with the water pipe, allowing the engineer to pull up, get his loco full of (imaginary) water, shove the pipe away, and move on. Also, there is a dilapidated boxcar behind the water tower for the Junction's two resident hobos. Inside the openable building is a typical furniture for the 1930-'50's time period which I think the cartoon takes place in. This includes: - corner desk with telephone, a railroad oil can, and lantern, plus two chairs - oil fired heater / stove - time clock next to a day-at-a-time calendar showcasing a exotic locale - potted plant, just because! EDIT 11/28/23: Added Katy caboose and Linus - the brave locomotive to the main post, which has been completely redone! Thoughts welcome!
  3. Welcome to The Little Post Office. The little post office is my newest MOC it is based on france bouwsteil, I designed the project for the Bricklink Designer Program series 1, if you like the project leave a smillie on bricklink if you want :) https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-1/377/The-little-post-office Please let me know what you think in the comments. I'm very curious what you all think of my project ground floor You can hand in all your parcels and letters at the post office or pick them up at the counter. The postman can weigh your parcel and then sort it into the post crates. The letters are sorted in a postal sorting rack with house numbers indicated in different colors, you can guess which buildings they are. Electric step charging station At the E-step charging point you can get a fully charged electric step to drive past all your favorite modular buildings. There is also an electrical inverter hidden under the stairs from the solar panels on the roof. In the Tech shop you can buy the latest technical gadgets including smartphones, telephone covers, computer with speakers, or an OLED TV. first floor The pharmacy is the place where you can get all your medication such as vitamins or pain relief. There is also a rack with bandages or plasters, there is also a cosmetics rack. In the office, every working day starts with a nice hot cup of coffee. The office contains an extensive interior including a. Copy machine Coffee machine Cabinet with folders Desk with two computers. second floor There are two apartments on the second floor. The left apartment has a kitchen, a dining table for two, a bed with bedside table and night lamp. In the apartment on the right lives a woman who likes to play games. In her apartment you can find a full bathroom, there is also a kitchen and a bed, but of course you should not miss the game chair and game station. The roof On the roof you can find three pairs of solar panels that can power the building. function All the balcony doors can swing open inwards. This modular building has a unique connection option. Normally you can connect a modular building as a straight street or in a corner of the street, this building has both options so that you can choose where you want it in your street.
  4. I shared the 1st to 3rd floor in the past. Now, let me share the 4th floor. It is my dream, Lego studio. I always want to own a LEGO studio, but I don't think I can achieve that in the foreseeing future. So I put my dream on the 4th floor. The studio has a LEGO storage parts wall, a Lego city layout, and a working station for taking pictures or videos. The home of Ole kirk MOC

hello LEGO fans around the world today 10th August 2022 lego celebrates their 90th anniversary and to celebrate I made a LEGO ideas MOC called THE BEGINNING OF THE LEGO HISTORY (90TH ANNIVERSARY Based on Ole kirk's house the place where the LEGO Group began their journeyIf you would like to see this one day become a real LEGO set and reach 10,000 support, please share and support it than at lego ideas:)https://ideas.lego.com/s/p:ddb75bfdf7644f8386cb25501c7a685eI also wish every LEGO fan and AFOL a happy 90 years of play and let's hope for many more great years to come. In the middle of the roof is a handle where you can easily lift the roof and view the details underneath. The office is the place where Ole Kirk came up with his ideas. In the office there are construction drawings of the house and of the wooden toys like the duck and a bus. The room contains several details such as an old-fashioned phone on the wall and a typewriter on the desk and many more small details to discover. the living room is the please where Ole Kirk can quietly drink a cup of tea while his grandson Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen builds a LEGO rocket with the new prototype parts in the year 1958. There is also a seating area in the living room. the store was the place where Ole Kirk sold his wooden toys like a number of iconic like the fire truck a blue car - truck - locomotive - plane and the wooden duck naturally. I also added an easter egg that refers to the Wooden Minifigure from 2019.

    MOC: Corporate Plaza

Hey guys, Here's the third skyscraper in Wasabi District: Corporate Plaza! At just over 3 feet tall and over 5000 pieces, this 10-storey building is the first office skyscraper in Wasabi District! Yes, it's smaller than my previous buildings, but I finished it in 3 months, a record time for me finishing anything larger than a car! Granted, it's also a pretty basic design, one expected of modern, run-of-the-mill office skyscrapers. Interior shots should be coming up soon. Please, let me know what you guys think! In the meantime, you know what to do if you want to see more pics, check My flickr account for more shots. Check my Instagram account for more WIP pics of the skyscraper, as well as the general WIP status of Wasabi District. Thanks for looking!
  7. I've been staring at Hogsmeade Village Visit (set 76388) for a while now (ever since pictures leaked!), trying to figure out how to fit it into my vintage city... I think I may have figured out how to do so now with the added rear halves and removed Winter snow parts. This model's front half was originally from the Honeydukes sweet shop portion of Hogsmeade Village Visit. I added a look-alike back to it, changed the color to red, and turned it into a small post office with inside details on both floors. I also added a truck I built in real life way back in 2011 - modeled after the official Winter Village Post Office truck from set 10222 - which is now back to being used for a postal truck. (I have determined said truck is styled like a Ford Model AA (wiki link) just based on the front end alone.) Yes, the model is missing nine parts not in LDD. This includes four each of parts 48208 and 48205, and one of 35563, all in black for the roof. Inside features are as such: - Ground floor has the public area, with pay counter and several boxes / crates waiting to be shipped. - Upstairs (even though there is no stairs!) is the sorting area with plenty of mail being gone through to be delivered to it's destination. Everyone may have heard of the Ford Model T and maybe it's successor, the Model A. But here is something you may not know: The Model T and later Model A both had trucks made from the basic principles of those cars. They were called the Model TT & Model AA, which is where this Lego model comes in, as it's based off a Ford Model AA truck. (or at least that's what I think it it is - the model was originally from set 10222, Winter Village Post Office.) The rear of the truck has two tail-lights and a license plate. MODEL NOTES: The building can only open 90 degrees due to interference from the roof and building footprint. (The post office will be built shortly after the Polar Express house, and then the heavily-modified 76388 tavern early next year.) Thoughts?

    [MOC/IDEAS] Concession Corner Modular

Support the project on LEGO Ideas! More Photos on Flickr! The Concession Corner is a high-profile modular building that is perfect for a bustling downtown scene! I made it to be compatible with existing modular buildings. To make the project unique, I decided to make this an end piece inspired by the likes of the Flatiron building. The sidewalk wraps around the entire perimeter, so it can connect both forwards and backwards. I made it on a 32x32 baseplate for the bulk of the set and a 16x32 baseplate for the tall bay window, which wraps around the two sides and gives a great view. This set works well standalone on all sides. It consists of about 2900 pieces and features two tall stories. It features a Fast-Casual restaurant on the first floor, and a loft office space on the second floor. I went through a lot of iterations to pack in building techniques that I'll let you discover. Ground Floor: On the first floor, there is a lot of space outside to pose minifigures. There is a velvet rope line leading into the restaurant, a bus stop with a wrought-iron bench, and two cherry blossom trees on either corner. In the back, there is an entrance to the kitchen and stairs to the second story. When you first enter, you can pick up a menu under a cool burger sign, or pick from the chalkboard above. The employees would be glad to help prepare food at the counter, either to stay or to go. There is substantial dine-in seating, a fountain soda machine, a condiment table, and a handicapped exit. The kitchen has an industrial fridge, a wide grill for searing fresh patties, a sink, and a cutting board. Second Story Once you go up the stairs through the back of the building, you can enter a classy lobby to be greeted by a professional to help you with any studio needs: drafting, interiors, graphics, even contemporary paintings. There's a futon, a runner and two desks, plus a balcony to view the outside. I included six different minifigures representing children, cashiers, managers, patrons, or anything you want them to be. Thank you very much for taking the time to check this out!

    [MOC] BRICK SQUARE POST OFFICE

Hi everyone I'd like to present my latest MOC, and the follow up to my previous Modular, "The Queen Bricktoria Pub". This time I've designed another British style building, a Post Office, set some time during the late 1950's. There is much more to it than just a Post Office though. Read on to find out more... As you can see this modular building has 3 floors and is built on a 32 x 32 base plate. I have designed it to appear as 2 separate buildings situated around a small town square. The post office is intended to be the main focus of the model but the building on the right also contains a fish & chip shop and other businesses. The Minifigures I've included 6 minifigs with this MOC. From left to right they are: Post Office Worker, Post Office Manager, The Postman, Chip Shop Owner, Cafe Barista and a Business man. Brick Square and Ground Level Details Both the buildings are arranged around "Brick Square". I've included a small flowering tree in the centre of the square and outside the post office there is a pillar box, bench, rubbish bin and flower pots. Outside the fish and chip shop is a table with parasol. The Pillar box is a simple build made up from 2x2 round bricks, plates and tiles, stacked up and held together with a technic axle running through the middle. The shaped slot section towards the top is made from a red wheel flipped on its side. Sandwiched between both buildings is a shared stairwell which can be accessed from the street. This is how the minifigs access the upper floors. The Post Office The pictures below show the interior of the post office. Mail Sorting Office On the floor above the post office is the room where all the mail gets sorted, ready to be sent out. This room is accessed via the stair well outside the post office. Fish & Chip Shop Another iconic British building - a fish and Chip Shop. The shop sells chips, battered fish, burgers, sausages and drinks. Coffee Shop Above the Fish & Ship Shop is a little cafe with a coffee machine, cake stand, table and seat. In the corner of the cafe is a stair case leading up to the top floor. Office Above the cafe is an office used by a local businessman. I've included a desk with drawers, telephone and paperwork. There is also a grandfather clock and plant pots. Mail Van I have also included a vehicle with this MOC, a vintage style Mail van. The Finished Model Here is a shot of the Brick Square Post Office, alongside my other modulars, The Queen Bricktoria and Convenience Store. If you'd like to read more about these other MOCs then follow the links below. Convenience Store Queen Bricktoria Thanks very much for reading. If you'd like to see more pictures of the Brick Square Post Office then head across to my Flickr page, I've added over 60 pictures of it there. I hope you like my latest MOC, feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think. EDIT: Building instructions for this MOC are now available from Rebrickable at the following link https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-22101/Bricked1980/brick-square-post-office/#comments
  10. This building was inspired by half of set 76108 (Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown) from the 2018 Marvel Comics line while the van is from set 79104 (Shellraiser Street Chase) from the 2013 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line. The building has a new rear half to complete the model, which has a ladders and trap doors to get from floor to floor. The two bigger second floor windows on the front side are missing this print for the upstairs Detective agency. The rear of the building has the same details as the front, but without the pizzeria storefront. The first level of the building is the pizza restaurant, with plenty of seating, meat spit, pizza oven, and cash register. Up the ladder and on the second is the Detective Agency's office, with a large desk and arm chair, with a smaller chair opposite the desk. The third floor has the Detective's apartment, with bed, desk, and gun / evidence safe. The roof of this level has a large wooden tank for storing water. This heavily modified vehicle originally came from a 2013 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set. I added doors and printed logo tiles. The roof of the van is removable, so you can get at the drivers seat to place a figure such as the CMF Series 12 "Pizza Delivery Guy" there. The rear of the van holds two pizza's in the warmer. (This building, the mad scientist lab I build out of the other half of 76108 and the van are placed together on the part list I have, and should be built next month or so. Keep an eye on this space for more details and for real-world pictures as they become available!) As usual, Comments, Questions, Suggestions and Complaints are always welcome!
  11. I recently received the CREATOR set "Corner Deli" (31050), and I decided it needed an upgrade to better fit my Town's standards. I added a third level and rear walls to all the models' floors. I added a desk for the private eye whose office is on the top floor, plus inside and outside seating on the street level for patrons of the deli. Unfortunately, my creative juices ran out by way of the second floor furniture, so it is sadly empty. The rear of the building features exposed brickwork in places giving this a New York City (or any older big city, really) like feel. The upstairs detective office features a desk, chair, and light with a secret hiding spot for something small, maybe a pistol. This floor is also lacking two of these printed windows. Sadly, their is nothing on this floor as I couldn't think of what to put in there. The Deli sign hooks onto the outdoor balcony, next to the rainwater downspout I added to every floor. The lowest floor features a delicatessen with a deep fryer, grill, indoor / outdoor seating and a serving window with cash register. This car was originally based on the car from set 10232, (Palace Cinema) along with a front end inspired by set 70906. (The Joker Notorious Low-rider) You can also build this car in red or black instead if you so desired. The rear of the car with the spare tire. The car features seating for one driver figure, plus a spare tire at the rear of the car on top of the opening trunk. The LDD file is available for both car and building at Brick-safe at this link. As I already have 90% of this build's parts already, I will be ordering this next along with the clock tower for my train station. Please keep an eye out for real-world pictures coming soon to this topic, and remember that comments, questions, and complaints are always welcome!

    Office Christmas Train

It's 7 weeks till Christmas week from now and you know what that means? Tis Christmas Train season coming up quickly! Some of you may remember me setting up a little train layout in my office last year. All colleagues loved it very much and so this year me and some colleagues are expanding the office train for this year! Compared to last year the new office train will be about 60% more track, 70% more cars and can carry more than 50% more "real cargo" than last years train! This year's office train will feature the following: - T-Shaped 9V layout with 3 stations (calling at 3 different desks, so everyone in this particular office has access to the train) - 4 Track wide cargo cerminal and card - 20m of track length in total - 16 cars in total - Original Santa Fe Super Chief Engine upgraded with the original light brick - Candy wagon for storing and transporting real eatable candy - Band wagon for transporting a bluetooth speaker and stage for the BrickBand - PF shunting engine for the Power Functions yard - A small handcar (this is an inside joke with colleagues) - Winter Holiday Train which I built yesterday I'm super excited - construction will begin this week. We'll see how far we can build it during lunch breaks. Pictures will follow shortly after! But to get me started, I have a couple of questions: How does one operate a 9V layout with two transformers? Do they plug in parallel (i.e. exactly the same way on both transformers)? What power settings do I use when running a train with two 9V motors (power setting the same on both transformers)? Do I have to unplug one of them if I run a smaller train with only one 9V motor, or do I just not bring up power on one of them? Thanks in advance for answering my questions! Here's the planned layout for this year's office train:
  13. MrLegoCollector

    Mr Burns Office MOC

I tried to get this as accurate as possible to the office shown in the show. I'd have loved to have made a trap door but even with the heightened base it wouldn't drop a Minifigure clear. But I put the button on the desk next to the chair to be accurate anyhow. I designed the chair and phone and clock and desk but I think I got the design of the lamp from Lego and tweaked it a bit i didn't intend the power plant style base but the idea hit me when I got the batman movie sets and the curved red pipe piece plus it was a good way to incorporate Blinky the fish which I wanted to do. I think on future I'll add the curtains and some walls to one or both sides.
  14. What happens when you agree with your LUG members to build three modulars each to start a City layout? You build them! Disclaimer. I'm a Technic guy, so building with normal bricks was a funny and interesting (and expensive!) challenge I've accepted. The idea was to have three modulars built on 32*32 baseplates with at least three floors each. I've immediately came up with ideas for first two buildings. But the story comes in three stages. Modular #1 - Office (aka LitLUG Headquarters) The very first modular had to be an office-like building. It ended up looking like standard squarish building you can imagine an office could be. The nice thing is that it can be easily expanded in height, which I'd love to do in the future. The back side is plain and has nothing interesting to see. It was the time I found out challenge I've accepted isn't going to be cheap simply because I don't have many bricks. Despite building being simple there final cost for the bricks was already higher than I assumed it would cost. Modular #2 - A replica of a building in Vilnius This was easy to decide - I really wanted to build this house in LEGO for a long time and I didn't have tight budget on this to implement a dream. This house is located in Vilnius (Lithuania) and has been built over a hundred years ago - in 1912. The district it is located is well known for more fancy houses built in that time. Luckily building has decent proportions and fits into 32 studs nicely. There were quite a lot of challenges for me (as a Technic guy) - facade isn't flat, 3 stud wide windows, some other odd features and of course the roof. Oh and the wall covering the roof - it turns out building sideways was the only way I could achieve the right angle without major holes. Since I don't have right bricks I've built the model using LDCad. This helped me not to overspent money on unnecessary bricks, just build and buy required parts. I know there is no collision detections in LDCad, but I'm pretty used to understanding the parts, so there were no issues building the models with real brick later on. While the building looks to be fineshed at this moment there things I'm not totally happy with so it must be revised some time in the future. Modular #3 - The ugly duckling I've already blew my budget on just two of three buildings, so I had to improvise here. This model wen't through numerous revisions - it went from houses you can find in Amsterdam (pretty, but expensive) to ugly-ugly ones (and still not budget friendly, doh!). I've made an extensive research on official Modulars and other people MOC's looking for ideas. And this is what I ended up with. Not the prettiest, but certainly not that ugly. I also got lucky to acquire LEGO store 10145 set, which became a part of my modular. Fun fact - this modular actually contain a duckling! You can clearly see one composed of white and dark orange bricks with that tiny balcony. It wasn't discovered until I made this picture: In conslusion, I'm happy I took part in building these three modulars. This was fun experience. Coming from Technic it was much easier to build with bricks in general - you just stack them from bottom to the top, but it gets tough when it comes to aesthetics. Unlike in Technic MOCs you must micromanage each aspect of the building making sure it looks the way you need it to look. The lack of some odd key parts didn't help either and I had to check many things with real bricks first. Fortunately new 2x2 macaroni tiles got released in time - modular would look slightly different without them! Behind fun part of this challenge comes the nasty one - expenses. Initially I had roughly estimated (without pre-calculations) how much this would cost me. It happens, I've based my calculations (roughly) keeping in mind the facade and roof only, but you still have two-three more walls to build! 1 x 6 x 5 panels turned out to be the most cost effective solution. This was, partially, the reason why my modulars are just modular-like - you cannot disassemble them floor-by-floor. Due to reasons above interior wasn't designed and built at this stage as well. Hope you like it. Oh and I'd be happy you would share your thoughts how can these models could be improved. More pictures in my Flickr album.

  16. Office machine? I am not sure that's proper title. I am not English native. Maybe government or department machine? Maybe something else? Check out description and photos and tell me what would be better. Anyway it is hidden behind a puppet mindlessly obeying orders. Manipulated puppet doesn't even know that he is performing acts of evil. He is the link in the system, it's integral part. Getting his hands on the all kinds of goods and passes them to his soulless master. 17. Location: C10 - Marden Tags: Civil, Building ~~~~~~~~~~~ OoC: Not really sure this really counts for the Civil tag. If not, I'll happily remove it. This build continues after my Challenge 2, Cat C build and occurs before my last weekly build (which was more than a month ago! Blimey, that time's flown by!) ~~~~~~~~~~~ Following the malfunction with the GATE on AC's ship when leaving Guinevere, AC returned to his office, while his engine expert, Dave, made repairs and checked through the engine's data logs to find the cause of the malfunction. Having finished his checks and repairs, Dave headed up to let AC know what he had found. [Dave] You might want to see this. It's some data recorded on one of the monitoring cameras for the GATE. [AC] Couldn't we have pulled it up on the computer digitally instead of coming all the up here with a data card? [Dave] I wanted to make sure we had a seperate copy that can't be monitored virtually, just in case. [AC] Okay, bring it over here and we'll take a look. [Dave] Remember that spanner we found by the engine? It seems that's what caused the problem. [Dave] It shorted out two of the power couplings. Fortunately, the automatic safety systems prevented any major problems and kept things working. [AC] It sent us off course though. We jumped the right number of Gates, but went in the wrong direction. We were due on Terrial Minor, instead we're orbiting Marden. So why did the spanner hit the power couplings in the first place? There wasn't a problem with the artificial gravity on board at the time was there? [Dave] Not that I've been able to find out. I think that someone threw the spanner between the safety bars and got out of the engine room before we got down there. [AC] Intentional damage then? [Dave] Looks like it to me, but I don't know who. There aren't any cameras down there covering the right angle to see. ~~~~~~~~~~~ OoC: I felt that an office would have been painted nice calming colours rather than sticking with the dark Kawashita colours, especially if the spaceship it was on wasn't neccessarily new when it entered the Kawashita fleet. I did try to keep it spacey with an attempt at spacey sliding doors of sorts and the inclusion of the holo screen behind AC. I was also going to build a section of corridor to go outside the sliding door that Dave's standing in front of, but didn't have time for this week. An overall pic is in the spoiler tag below. Please note the image from the engine's monitoring camera is part of my Challenge 2 build with 3 parts added and should not be included in the judging. Comments welcome (although I apologise for not commenting on other peoples builds very often if at all... Some great stuff is happening in AG and I've only just caught up with it all since a couple of months ago...).
  18. Previous Chapter: The Tomb of Dar Askelohn --- Next Chapter: Beyond Vanhorn So, i thought about the comments in my previous post in this part of Aeldric's story, So i though i'd remake the scene. Enjoy!) Aeldric: "Sir Avdar," Aeldric said, stepping into the dim-lit office. Avdar: "What is it?" Avdar replied, with an old, gruntish-voice. Aeldric: "Voraal and i came across a small, burnt down cottage deep in the forest. We found a large opening in the flooring, and we went down inside. The secret basement was a large room, full of headstones." Avdar: "And what does this have to do with your patrol?" Aeldric: "Well, one of the tombs had a large plaque on it, which said 'Here lies Dar Askelohn, the knowledge founder.' And didn't Dar Askelohn go missing in the mountains to the north?" Avdar: "Yes, he did. But this does not concern you and your patrols. Now get out before I double your work time." Avdar lashed out. Aeldric stepped outside and into the streets of Albion, where Voraal had been waiting for him. Voraal: "Are we going to go patrol for the elves?" Aeldric gazed out to the dark, cloud covered sky. Aeldric: "Yes, though Avdar won't know." Aeldric and Voraal then head down the street, and to the stables to set back out for Vanhorn. Alright guys, so leave me any thoughts on the build, and if you have any suggestions on the story, please post them! More pics: My first SNOT below:
  19. This '8x8 Vignette' concept started with 'The Dark Knight - Interrogation Scene' vignette, which as based on the #40120 Valentine's Day Dinner and #40121 Painting Easter Eggs. This is loosely base on the #76005 Daily Bugle Showdown set. I didn't want to have the set displayed but the top floor I had to keep as it was the highlight if the set. I have changed the design of the the office and the exterior of the top floor and kept is simple and small as possible as it could be whilst using all the cool stickers used in the building. 'MOC: J Jonah Jameson's Office - 8x8 Vignette' Album: https://www.flickr.c...157653583747370 I really hope you enjoyed this MOC; feedback and criticism is much appreciated. Adeel

    MOC: Dental Work

I whipped together a vignette for my photo a day project. If you have a fear of dentistry, hit the back button on your browser now. It has some simple play features like the chair rotates and has head and feet tilt adjustments. There is a sink for blood and spit; drawers for instruments of pain. A laptop in case of getting stuck and having to Google the procedure. She has a degree from LEGO to practice. Let's see what kind of pain gain we can do today with a jackhammer on tartar. [LDD MOC] Modular Archer HQ

I don't know how many of you watch FX's Archer, but I love the show, and of course I just had to make it digitally in LEGO and as a modular building, so it will fit in with any city layouts, in theory. For those of you who don't follow the show, Archer is a spy-comedy about a spy agency named ISIS. It lampoons James Bond and all other sorts of things. The exterior of the building. As you can see, it also has the parking garage. Let's move onto the characters (left to right): Sterling Archer, our womanizing functioning alcoholic lead; Lana Kane, Archer's on-off again girlfriend and their kid AJ, and her twin SMGs; Malory Archer, Archer's overbearing mother and spy master, along with her scoped pistol; Cyril Figgis, the comptroller; Cheryl/Carol Tunt and her ocelot Babou, also includes a microphone for when she sings as Cherlene; Pam Poovey, the HR head and her dolphin puppet. Dr. Krieger, the crazy German doctor/scientist and one of the Pigglys and his "jazz hands"; Ray Gillette, the flamboyant spy who loses the ability to walk but regains it thanks to Krieger; Woodhouse, Archer's butler; Bilbo, the overweight tech support; Krieger clone; Krieger's Virtual Girlfriend Bobby, Archer's arch nemesis and cyborg who works for the KGB for sometime; Katya, Archer's ex-fiance who also becomes a cyborg; and Popeye, the man who runs the laundromat on the first floor of the building. Next we have Krieger's van, which changes color throughout the series as they get destroyed. Ray's wheelchair The garage where employees can park their cars, with removable roof. Only the first floor is accessible. The laundromat, with sliding door for the hidden elevator The next floors are attached and at the top is Krieger's lab, which can be accessed by the elevator. It includes a tank to put the Krieger clone in. The armory and gun range is on the next floor and stocked with various weapons. Finally we have the office floor. It has all of the main rooms I could fit, and many are smaller than the show just to have everything fit. You can see from left to right: Malory's office, Cheryl's desk, the breakroom/torture room, and the mainframe. On the other side (left to right) we have the computer room where Bilbo works, Cyril's office and Pam's office. Enjoy!
  23. Inspired by the building in set 6484, (Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase) this building features two floors and a "cast iron" facade. Fictional Background: Built as an office building in 1898, Johnny Thunder bought it in 1918 after returning from serving in World War I. He then turned it into his personal office. The top floor was renovated into a storage / trophy room, while the bottom floor holds actual office with a table, desk + chairs, hat rack and three filing cabinets full of important contact information, treasure leads, and reports of strange occurrences, along with the occasional Vegemite Sand-which. Currently, the objects inside the trophy room include a Sword made in India out of ivory, a ancient Roman Shield from Italy, a golden Ring of Power from a land far away, a silver glove of an Aztec suit of armor, the Spear of Destiny from Jerusalem, a Trident from Atlantis, and a scythe from the Land of the Dead. The rear of the building is hinged to the front (like in set 31026, Bike Shop & Cafe) and locks together with a Technic pin. The roof top deocrations were inspired by fellow EB user, Kristel, with the instructions provided on her blog: http://modularsbykristel.com/ The real life Treasure Raider, which happens to be included in the updated LDD file, plus it's own digital file. 24. Here's a Micropolis module I put together last year. Hope you guys like it!
  25. I know what you're thinking: this is simply a renamed Winter Village Post Office. Well, you'd be half right. It IS a post office mod, but only because I was struggling to come up with a use for this building, as I already have a Post office for my town. I finally came up with this: a old fashioned newspaper store. (NOTE: There are supposed to be printed 1x1 tiles saying "LEGO NEWS" on the 2x4 bracket seen in the main picture.) Welcome to LEGO NEWS. We stock many newspapers and magazines from all over the LEGO realm. We have the City Financial news, (crucial to any businessman) the Old Times, (for any nostalgic mini-fig), the Night Out, (catering to the denizens of the Monster Realm) and even the original LEGO News. (for just about anybody!) We also stock the Daily Prophet & the Quibbler (for any witch or wizard of any age), the Daily Bugle, (for your superhero fix) Yoda Chronicles (for your galactic news) and of course we have comics for the kiddies. Here we see the rear of the store, where newspapers are sorted and tied up for their deliveries to subscribers houses. We also see the car and camera of the lead reporter: she's the one who covered the Alien Conquest fiasco in 2011. Close up of the newspapers. Here we can see Night Out, City Financial News, LEGO News, & Old Times. LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1396734007m.lxf Thoughts, questions, & complaints are always welcome!
