  1. Just in time for the end of the contest - here is my entry, the former crown jewel of my MOC collection: The K-Wing! The photos sadly aren't as good as I'd like them to be, but I think everything should be recognizeable. 2. *Your entry has earned 13 XP (S:4, T:4, A:5) + 5 bonus XP for a total of 18XP Lieutenant Seb „Chase“ Koltin Phindar, Demetras Sector, Outer Rim Territories 43:3:16 GrS (9 ABY) After the New Republic’s conquest of the Pyria system, Wing Commander Varth created Blackmoon Squadron, referring to the codename of the planet Borleias during the operation. For his new squadron, which is made up of fresh-off-the-assembly-line E-Wings, the experienced officer recruited mainly pilots with experience in flying Incom vessels for clandestine Rebel Alliance cells in heavily fortified Imperial sectors. Blackmoon Squadron has flown its first missions out of Phindar in the Demetras Sector. In stark contrast to Commander Varth’s reputation, the squadron has only lost a single pilot during the first four standard months of its existence. As a replacement for the fallen squadron member, Seb Koltin, a native of Vondarc and former commercial pilot, has been recommended to Commander Varth. Koltin has combat experience in both the Z-95 and T-65B, having served in Bothan Space and the Tapani sector during the height of the Rebellion. FXT29954 Seb Koltin: Lieutenant Koltin reporting for duty, Commander! Cmdr. Varth: At ease. Welcome to Phindar, Lieutenant, I hope you had an uneventful journey. You’re taking the callsign Blackmoon 9. Simulator training is scheduled daily at 0900 and 1800 hours, unless otherwise specified. Your quarters are in Complex Besh, Room 272. I’ll introduce you to the squadron and our support staff at tonight’s briefing, 2100, conference room Four, Complex Besh. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - For my first ever Eurobricks RPG build, I’ve created the hangar-space for Blackmoon 9 (indicated by the Aurebesh “9” on the floor) at the New Republic base on Phindar, the accompanying E-Wing starfighter, utility towers for mechanics, a mobile refueling tank and a ladder for climbing up into the cockpit. I hope you like it and would appreciate any feedback! 3. *Your entry has earned 8 XP* First off, apologies for the lack of quality images. I had hardly any time to take photos and didn't think that part through enough. I hope next episode's Cat B will be better. That being said, let's get into this: Ambushing Pyerce's Supply Lines Following the briefing with his teams, Captain Bociephus Laeten of the New Republic dispatched scouts to determine exactly what the Imps on Tarsunt had to protect the small supply depot. Returning unseen, the scouts reported that Ambassador Giles' intelligence was correct. Moff Pyerce had troops on the ground collaborating with the local Imperial warlord, who himself was at the supply site inspecting operations. Laeten knew that here was a chance to strike at Moff Pyerce and his allies, as well as giving the CorSec observers the needed opportunity to see Laeten's soldiers in action. He suited up and departed the Radiant IX with his forces in a New Republic Patron-class support fighter. They used the fighter's stealth capabilities to land nearby without any sign of being spotted. With news that the warlord had departed only moments ago, Laeten gave the order to begin the assault. The key to taking the supply site was to control the landing area. By doing so, communications could be cut and prevent Moff Pyerce from knowing his logistics base on Tarsunt was under attack. Laeten ordered his soldiers to attack the heavy gun emplacements on the north side of the supply site, providing a distraction while jetpack-equipped troops knocked out the anti-aircraft gun on top of the bunker to the south. Snipers harassed the stormtroopers that were embedded in the gun emplacements, and quick work was made of the task to destroy the bunker's AA gun. As soon as the AA gun was taken out, the Patron-class support fighter began strafing runs, preventing counter attacks and utilizing its offensive sensor suite to jam local comm transmissions. As this was happening, New Republic slicers rushed the landing area main entrance and shut off the laser gate, allowing more of Laeten's troops to blast into the landing area and assault the stormtrooper guards head-on. The attack shifted, as Imperial support crew closed the corridor hatch leading to the bunker with a squad of death troopers outside to defend it. Explosives placed at the base of the gun emplacements blew open holes in the supply site's walls, giving New Republic forces three angles of fire to direct at the death troopers. Though the death troopers were all killed, many of the remaining Imperials decided surrender was a better fate. Laeten knew the battle was over, and he was pleased with how it had turned out. Stealth, speed and surprise had taken the Imperial forces completely off guard, not unlike the battles from the early days of the Rebellion. What forces remained were now prisoners of the New Republic, along with all of their supplies and weapons. What they did not find, however, was the alleged holocron. It appeared that if it had indeed been at the supply site, it must have been removed when the Imperial warlord departed just prior to the attack. But now, with Moff Pyerce's influence on Tarsunt blunted by the captured supply site, Laeten knew he could report to Ambassador Giles, and in turn to New Republic High Command, that his responsibility to impress the CorSec observes was definitely achieved. After hailing a New Republic prisoner transport, Laeten headed back to Corellia to move on to the next phase of his recruitment mission.
  4. The E-Wing is one of my favourite Legends EU ships. I made this one by building the cockpit and nose from the Resistance X-Wing, a custom body and nose, and the basic wing structure from Jek 14's Stealth Starfighter. The only major problems I'm having with the build so far are that Stud.io is currently lacking the new windscreen, which I think is necessary for the shape, and I can't tell if certain hinge connections would work in reality. Below is the wing connection I'm unsure about. It looks like the larger hinges should be able to join up to the small one at the top, while the clip hinges below hold the wing. But I'm not sure if the third stud down on the wing is actually obstructing the yellow section of the hinge. I'll be grateful if anyone can give me some tips. :) UPDATE: It lives! For the most part, I'm happy with how it turned out, but there are some modifications I'll have to make, specifically to how the engines are held together inside, and the landing gear. The axles inside the engines seem to be at the wrong length ratio, so the front can easily be knocked off. The landing gear is just badly designed, and I might have to completely rework it. As you can see, I'm missing a 3L bar on the front skid, I got a 4L bar by accident. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Otherwise, the front would be ok. The back skids need a less flexible framework, and one of the clips collides with the skid underneath. The cannons aren't quite as long as intended, it turns out the pin hole on the end of the 3L technic pins with an axle holder end aren't the right shape for connecting bars, so that's another thing that I might alter, but it doesn't detract from the look of it. Apart from those the only thing I'd like to change is that the only thing holding the nose is a pair of technic pin bricks, but it's not too wobbly. The lid for the astromech compartment comes off easily enough, though the 1x4 bricks sometimes need pressing back on. :) Booty shot:
  5. Hello EB community! My entry for the SWEU Contest (Category: Starships) is the E-Wing Starfighter. Commissioned by the New Republic during the Thrawn campaign as a replacement for the X-Wing, the E-Wing remained in service until after the Yuuzhan Vong War. E-Wings were often carried into battle by Endurance-class Fleet Carriers, MC90 Star Cruisers and Imperial-II-class Star Destroyers. Since the NJO novels aren't eligible for the contest, this fighter is active during the Black Fleet Crisis, particularly the Battle of ILC-905.
