    The Desert Run 5000

My latest free-build for Kaliphlin, and also an entry for Classic-Castle's Flag of Your Kingdom Contest. The ostrich rider design was borrowed from Kayne. I would like to claim UoP credit for: General Building, Minifig Posing. The Duke of Ferrari is well known for his annual Desert Run 5000 and the competition is stiff this year. Ferrari’s representative is in the lead, while the ostrich and camel rider are not far behind! The mummy with his scorpion chariot, however, is a full lap behind the rest of the competitors. There are more pictures on brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, your comments and suggestions are always appreciated
  2. "So, how did this thing work again?" The Trebuchet: The Ulandian government wishes to thank the most Noble Lord Osric for his kind gift. It works!... that is to say, it might if their weren't any mummies stuck in it! A counter to Jacob Nion's guerrilla... Credit goes to ZCerberus for a lot of inspiration on the Tebuchet design! Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome!
  3. My entry for WarZone 18. The mummies wanted to get in the eastern guardian tower, but they had no battering ram to break the door down with... So they used the next best thing; a sarcophagus! As the mummies were about to start battering the door in, Aymeri and his men showed up and ambushed them on both sides: More pictures can be seen here: Link C&C welcome
  4. I finally grew a Masa Palm--woohoo! Perhaps in retrospect, attempting to capture the fertile Great Loop was an error by the Desert King. More than one of his mummies died simply from falling into the river and the rice paddies. But when the High Council arrived to aid the Ulandans, there was no quarter given to the Desert King's forces. Reports from the scribes tell tales of mummy warriors willingly jumping to their deaths by water rather than be dealt with by Skullcrusher and his well used--and legendary--steel club. Skullcrusher on the warpath. Educating mummies by beating their heads in since the rise of the Desert King. A few more on Flickr.
  5. Here we go: Kaliphinite heavy cavalry charges a group of Desert King mummies. Given the hard-packed sand along the Oil Road, the infantry were easily routed by the speed and force of the mounted units. More on Flickr, C&C appreciated!
  6. Into the Nestlands The Nestlands Insurgency (WZ3:G15) For the Desert King! The Desert King is steadily drawing more and more of Kaliphlin under his wing. He has sent several troops into the Northern Nestland region to quell the fighting between the Nestland Clans and Ulandian invaders: they will declare for the King, or they will perish in the dense forests. A band of mountain mummies comes upon some Ulandian men. The Desert King Commander calls out ahead to the approaching soldiers “The Desert King is your rightful ruler! He is just and merciful - will you yield this land peacefully and serve him?” Slinking behind his troops, the Ulandian Commander cries back, “Goodness, no! What silly nonsense. Men, go kill those dead thingies!” He continues to creep away. “I’ll go fetch some water from that lovely stream back there to quench you thirst once the job is done…” Suffice to say, the victory went to the Desert King that day .
