  1. So this question may seem a little out there, but bear with me (and if this fits in better on the Sci-Fi Forum, than by all means move it over). I recently published a review of Witch's Windship here a few days ago given the season, and in it I mentioned how I ended up picking up most of that particular wave. Whether that was folly or not remains to be seen, as I've only built two out of four of the mid-sized sets. But I do find parts of this subtheme appealing, especially when we get to the different flying machines. Given the actual state of the official sets, I'm already in the process of modding them to have a more consistent color scheme, but want to go further. Given how this subtheme already dabbled in more "advanced" technology for LEGO Castle compared to other subthemes, I was considering incorporating some more "machinery" that would be high-tech...for the Middle Ages as I modify the existing line. For instance, I'm thinking of reverse-engineering a device similar to the one from the Scary Laboratory in the Studios line, where you have a door and a turntable you can spin to "transform" a minifigure. But given how I'm working in a more medieval setting, I'm not sure a direct transfer would mesh as well. So my question is whether anyone may have any thoughts on what kind of parts would make a contraption like the one I described appear more "medieval," instead of Victorian. More clockwork mechanisms? Gears? Wagon Wheels? Or is this a silly question, and should I just try a direct transfer? Given the era, I'm inclined to stay away from any designs that resemble the harnessing of electricity, and am trying to consider what other designs I could implement to convey a sense of power being harnessed for this infernal machine.

    The Mankind Machine

Hi everybody, my name is Pierluigi, aka Cloudstrife84, i’m from Italy and aftter months of hard work, I finally realized my Lego Ideas project. Help me make it a reality. Come look, ask if you like my idea and if you want to see my set realized, supported and share it a lot. Supported and share. Thank you very much. The Mankind Machine Relive the most important historical facts of Mankind with this Lego Set divided by past eras. Discovering the history of man has never been so much fun!!! Hunt the Mammoth with the Neanderthal man, dominate Ancient Egypt with the Pharaoh, fight with the Roman gladiators or assault the castle in the Middle Ages. Why don't discover the glories of the Italian Renaissance with Galileo or land in the New World with Christopher Columbus? Help the sheriff of the Far West or allied with Indians. Defend the Japanese Emperor from the attack of ninjas or participate in the taking of the Bastille during the French Revolution. You will be able to do all this and much more thanks to the Laboratory that allows you to travel through Time to relive the most important facts that have characterized the Mankind History. Detailed interchangeable Lego Sets that can be assembled in the central Laboratory. You choose the Sets with your favorite eras or collective all to retrace the exploits and events of man through time. Each Set is composed of about 500 Lego pieces and contains 4 mini-figures representing important and characteristic characters of the time expressed in the Set. Each set can also be closed to form a pretty box. I have always loved time travel and I think I am not the only one who would like a Lego Set that reproduces in a comfortable, pratical and beautiful to see, various historical eras. Perfect, then, in my opinion, both to stimulate the imagination of children, who learn the most important stages of Mankind while playing, and for adults who want to collect all the Sets, thus having at home a perfect reproduction in Lego of the fantastic History of Man!!! Hope you like this Idea. Hope you have a great 2019, see you next year. The Elf-Witch Cottage

The Elf-Witch Cottage In the depths of the enchanted woods, where reality and fantasy meet, an elf-witch has lived since forever. Nobody knows her name or her exact age, maybe 100, maybe 1000 years, but it doesn't matter, she's part of the woods she lives in now. She's always busy with her magic potions and her studies… fascinated by nature's incredible colors and shapes, she keeps on living in her house, away from the rest of the world. I've always been fascinated by nature, by its colors, and by the fantasy universe. In this project I tried to put it all together, using unusual parts and colors that I'd underestimated before. I'm very satisfied with the result. Here is one of my latest designs, Medieval Watermill, which has a power functions motor hidden inside and geared down to move the watermill. I've also submitted it on the ideas page if anybody cares to vote here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/159800 Thanks for any support/ feedback and viewing!

    MOC: The Blacksmith

And another castle MOC! Here's my latest work The Blacksmith: Near the center of the village sits the home of the village blacksmith. Working out of a small shop connected to his house, the blacksmith provides trustworthy work to the local farmers, soldiers, and craftsmen who need a horse shoed, a plough sharpened, or a tool repaired. The sound of his hammer striking metal can be heard throughout the countryside, and the cozy outdoor shop often serves as the site of friendly socialization and sharing of news for the village residents. Another build incorporating the technic-pin roof technique I've been playing with. I love the way it looks and the versatility of it's shape, but it can really be a pain to work with. Also, building houses is kinda hard...getting the roof shape and building proportions right can be complicated. Something I need to practice more. Thanks for looking! Soli Deo Gloria!
