Here is my revamped version of 60278 (the cancelled CITY set called "Crook's Hideout Raid"), modified for use by my railroad's Maintenance Of Way (MOW) department, instead of the crooks. The claw crane out in the front lot of the building was inspired by 7596 (Trash Compacter Escape). The MOW department also owns quite a few vehicles that make sure the railroad is running smoothly. The bucket truck is from 3179 (Repair Truck), dump truck is from set 7789 (Lotso's Dump Truck), drill vehicle from 7936 (Level Crossing), the bulldozer is from 60074 (Bulldozer) and the front end-loader from set 7630 (Front End-Loader). The rail mobile is inspired by 40532 (Vintage Taxi) and rolls quite well on the track with no problems in stock switches or standard R40 curves. The front of the facility. Emmet Brickowski runs the facility and it's crew like a well-oiled machine, helping to repair breakdowns in infrastructure / clean up derailments safely, securely, and in a timely manner. The front office with the break room is on the lower level. The second floor comes off to access this room. The inside , with the roof removed. Emmet's office is on the second floor. 3179 MOD - bucket truck 7630 MOD - front-end loader 7789 MOD - dump truck 7936 MOD - drilling machine 40532 MOD - vintage rail mobile 60074 MOD - bulldozer Comments, questions, and complaints welcome! EDITED 7/16/22: Added two new vehicles models along with all new photos of everything!

Hi all, since it's now published on Brick Model Railroader group, I can finally present also here in EuroBricks my second entry, this time in "MOW vehicle" section: You already know it from the WIP thread - it's a small little patchwork of two Fiat 600T/850T vans and a FIAT 500 499,5cc (21HP) motor. Here's the full story! And here's some bonus content!!! Presentation for Octrainber ends here , but there are some other photos: Transmission is on only one axle, as in the prototype, and it's using (again!!! ) the twisted rubber band transmission. The battery is a 200Mah Li-Po, connected to a small circuit in order to charge-discharge and manage the output to the motor. It can be recharged with an USB Adapter (in this case a serial to USB adapted I had at home). And two videos, showing the rubber band transmission and a small track with the 500 in action! https://www.flickr.com/photos/138174786@N04/51670350725/in/album-72157720126403108/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/138174786@N04/51673059120/in/album-72157720126403108/ I hope you like it! Ciao! Davide P.S. for reference! For more information, please refer to this site (it can be translated) https://scalaenne.wordpress.com/2017/07/29/draisina-fiat/ and to this video, showing a restoration of the Fiat 500 Draisina - which inspired the Giovanni and Giorgio story (Italian only, sorry, maybe it can work with subtitles) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7vwRs0Akkk&t=211s

Here is my current project. The Windhoff MPV or miulti purpose vehicle. It has had several incarnations in its short life, firstly as the cargo sprinter now in the market of maintence of way. The english "great western electrication project" will use several of these to electrify the remaining 179 miles of rail from outer London to Cardiff. Derek Wilson in the UK has taken some great reference pics: http://derekwilson-r...-HOPS/i-wzWKvHs Amey the prime contractor had these: http://www.infrarail...-2014-Amey-.pdf & http://nearyou.imech...um-15-04-13.pdf This will be a pure moc for me, no cheating by recreating others work. Prelim stats: it will be an eight wide train at an overall scale of 1:38.1 or 1 stud = 1 foot, overall length will be about 1.3m or 166 studs or 5.2 std baseplates There will be 2x mpv's along with the supply trailer. The MPV's will be 54 studs long plus buffers & the supply wagon will be 52 studs long. Being modular I will make several of the modules to provide different setup displays from foundations to mast installation to the wire work. Windhoff wip by coghilla, on Flickr
