Hi! Im starting work on an Edoras MOC and am trying to build up an accurate Rohan army which is cheaper to buy than the official figs. Does anyone know of some good torsos/legs/heads/hair to use for this?

Hi guys! I bring you my new MOC that represents the first half of the movie The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. This MOC begins in Hobbiton (The Shire) through the Old Forest where the Hobbits meet the Nazgûl, the Brandiwine river, the village of Bree, Weathertop and Rivendell. Middle Earth is one of the most expansive, well-known worlds ever created by an author. This project honors J.R.R Tolkien and the beautiful world he created, as well as Peter Jackson, who brought Middle Earth to life. There are so many Lord of the Rings and Hobbit fans who were disappointed when the LEGO series was discontinued. You can learn more about my project and its goals at Lego Ideas here. Also, I would love to have feedback on how to improve and what I could add. Please leave a reply. (I am a new member and this is my first MOC that I am posting.) Middle-Earth Minis is a series which contains many small, microscale versions of the iconic places in Middle Earth. Since LEGO chose not to produce many locations, hopefully these can cover for some of them. Ideally, all of the locations would come in one set with a Middle Earth Map and you could put each microscale version on their according locations. The locations: Bag End Isengard (Orthanc) Argonath Edoras Helms Deep Minas Tirith Minas Morgul Barad-Dur

A bit fitting for Halloween, this newest build is trying to recreate the earie setting from early in the Fellowship of the Ring book, where our Hobbits haven`t met Aragorn yet and learn some harsh lessons of the world beyond the Shire. My latest `pure` MOC for the Tolkien verse, Fog on the Barrow-Downs is a not known to not book readers part of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. You see, in the movies they get weapons from Aragorn after leaving Bree. In the books, that happened all a bit more adventureous, as they set out of the Shire and came to an ancient burial place, the Barrow-Downs. Inhabited by the spirits of long deceased warriors, Frodo, Samwise, Peregrin and Meriadoc are captured and paralysed, only to be saved by Tom Bombadil. It is from these tombs they obtain their swords, and realise their are far bigger and far dangerous things in the outside world. When I found this nice piece of artwork of the Barrow-Downs, I decided to try and recreate the setting, including the spooky patches of mist that trail Frodo as he approaches the doorway of one of the tombs. In the end, I`m rather happy how this effect turned out, as it seems a light wind is blowing over the hill, but perhaps just a bit to selective to be a natural phenomena...
