    MOC: LotR Advent Calendar

After four months of designing, re-designing, parts-ordering, and building, I'm pleased to announce that my first LEGO Ideas project, the Lord of the Rings Advent Calendar, has finally been approved. Star Wars Advent Calendars have been immensely popular in the past, and I think that a Lord of the Rings A.C. would be even better. My proposed project includes micromodels of famous Middle-Earth locations and two exclusive figures: Santa Gandalf and Old Bilbo. I know that many people on this forum want to see LEGO release a set with an Old Bilbo minifigure in it, but since we're unlikely to get a Bilbo's Birthday set in any upcoming waves, this may be the only way to get him. You can check out individual pictures of all of the models in my Flickr photostream. If you want to see my Lord of the Rings Advent Calendar become a real set, please support it on LEGO Ideas!
  2. Hi, I'm new to Eurobricks! This site was recommended to me by an employee at a LEGO store - what better recommendation can you get than that? I visit Brickset pretty much every day, but am going to start using Eurobricks too. I'm an AFOL from Minnesota, USA, and have been enjoying building with LEGO bricks since I was a small child. I'm huge into Classic Space, but frankly it's hard for me to think of a type of LEGO that I don't like (other than maybe Jack Stone). My son is 10 years old and he loves playing with LEGO bricks too, so this is a hobby that we can enjoy together. The main thing I'm working on right now is my LEGO Ideas project inspired by my favorite book, "The Little Prince": https://ideas.lego.com/projects/50323. Only 75 days left to get another 4,281 votes.... Yeah, I'm stressing! Any ideas on how to promote the project? And, of course, if you like the concept, please vote for it! :-) Hopefully I did alright on my first post! Take care, Colin23 p.s., I should mention that I've partnered with glenbricker on the project. p.p.s., I should also mention that on my Flickr page the awesome custom minifigs come from Minifigs.Me.
  3. My very first Lego Cuusoo project got just published! Ed Roth´s Mysterion Show Rod http://lego.cuusoo.c...deas/view/58699 Please give me some feedback and comments. I will tell you more. And please go to see and click the "Support"! :) ************************************************** Here's some details about making of the "Mysterion". I have tried to learn new techniques. The frame with holes is 3-wide while the front section is 5-wide. The body is 7-wide but the interior is 4-wide and the bubble is 6-wide. There's also some SNOT design, for example the mismatching headlights, V8-engines, side panels, rear lights and top hinges. And as in the many recent creations there's no visible studs. It is also kind of "modular" as seen in the picture. This was fun to build and The Mysterion is also so far my most advanced creation. Hope you like it! :) *********************************************** Additional pictures of the real car.
