  1. The fearsome First Order strikes again! This model occupies over two square feet of your average usable coffee table space at just under (an estimated) 2000 pieces. This behemoth took over two months to design - but I'm not done yet. Before the Christmas season, I hope to have instructions completed. This model is based on the First Order Resurgent-class Star Destroyer's bridge. The original model was a measly 8x12 inches: And used only around 700 pieces. The most difficult part of this stage was creating the curved portion of the front section. This took many iterations to get right. When I had time, I would plan the wings of the bridge. The wings use around 300 pieces for the left-wing (looking from the back) and 350 pieces for the right-wing. Finally, we get to the back extension. This alone uses around 650 pieces and expands the length of the model by 25%. I knew that this would be the last section for one crucial reason: I was running out of space at this point. I wanted to focus more on figure placement for this part, so I left it mainly open while emphasizing the diorama aesthetic. It took a while but I was able to obtain all of the black bricks I needed for the back of the bridge. I think it turned out well. @Monkeyulize, if I may ask for your help designing a UCS sticker for this model, here's that question. The 1x2 technic brick is designed to be used to anchor a figure stand (coming soon) - I know it's there, don't worry. At last, the finished product. A piece fell off during transport but I found it and it's back on. I'm very pleased with this but know it can be improved. If you have any questions or critiques, please don't hesitate to post. I have but one request: stay civil. I will update this post with more design changes and processes. The Flickr album link can be found here: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjzSuaU
  2. Hi everyone, it's been a while since I last shared a custom decal with you all here on Eurobricks, I apologize about that. But, recently, seeing that LEGO will be releasing this figure at some point in the coming months when they announce their SW: Force Awakens sets, I just couldn't wait and had to make a decal for my son and I for one of the characters from the sequels. So here it is, my version of the new Sith (I assume) baddie, Kylo Ren. I shared this on my Flickr account not too long ago. Please feel free to use on your own figs, but these are to be used for own personal decal use - no commercial use without permission. Also, I'd love to see anyone's MOCs using this, so please post those below as well. Let me know what you think, I'd love to hear your thoughts and constructive criticism. Thanks and enjoy! Kylo Ren - Full Color Given my experience in decals, it isn't the best to use clear decals on a dark torso or piece (unless it's a professionally printed decal). So, I've shared the full color decal below to use with sticker paper (clear or white). This also has a preview of what it could look like next to it. Kylo Ren - Clear Decal For those of you who can get professional based decals made for this, here's the clear decal. Based on this character

Thoughts on The Last Jedi Sets

Hello, this is my first post! :) I was wondering what your thoughts were on the new The Last Jedi sets, and which one is your favorite. Personally, mine is the Resistance Bomber - 75188 (except for the steep price...) Anyways, thanks!

    [MOC] Kylo Ren shuttle

Hi, I present you my version of the suttle of Kylo Ren. It's not an UCS (some details are differents) but it correspond to the idea that I have of this ship : a black shadow. I kept the sytem to open the cockpit at the front and the back, but I didn't worked inside yet. At the begining, wings could be vertical, but considering the weight of wings, I have to change and they are fixed (but it's only to display in my dedicated room) Complete album flickr of this MOC : https://www.flickr.com/photos/138759056@N05/albums/72157687270801021 IMG_20171019_175236 IMG_20171019_175013 IMG_20171019_175203 IMG_20171019_175101 IMG_20171019_174854 IMG_20171019_175026 IMG_20171019_175051 IMG_20171019_175328 IMG_20171019_175306 IMG_20171019_175738 IMG_20171019_175643 IMG_20171019_175546 IMG_20171019_175505 IMG_20171019_175343 IMG_20171019_175844 IMG_20171019_175922
  6. Hello, everyone I would like to present a micro model of Kylo Ren's Shuttle. I made two version using the pieces from Lego Set "The Mini Batwing" 30524. I got the idea from this Polybag And this is the result: It's a little model but it's my first Star Wars Ship. Thank you for your time. Instructions can be found here and the Inventory at Rebrickable
  7. Hi guys, I thought I would quickly post this mod on a MOC I made. Earlier I had built the end scene from Revenge of the Sith with Vader, The Emperor and Moff Tarkin looking at the death star being built. I was in the process of dismantling it for parts when I suddenly realised that the exact same shot was used in The Force Awakens as well. So before taking it apart I did a quick modification on it to turn it into Kylo Ren watching the Star Killer base fire its super laser. DSC_2497 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr A simple mod really turning the black space and death star backdrop into a red sky with a laser beam. The control panel had a few more lights added as well as some red tiles to mimic the red flare hitting the underneath of the window. Revenge of the Sith - Construction Begins by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Kylo Ren - Star Killer by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr And here is the comparison shots between the two scenes from the films to highlight the similarities... As always I would love to hear your comments, feedback and suggestions.
  8. Finally got my Kylo Ren command shuttle converted to all black with red viewing port and folding wings. I think it turned out decent and is still very playable and swooshable! Started on it last January, but became addicted to Star Wars Battlefront for way too long after getting a PS4 at Christmas. Anyway with the recent release of Krennic's shuttle in mostly all black, I got inspired to pick up the black pieces from many Bricklink orders and finish my conversion of Kylo Ren's shuttle. I wish I could have gotten the red viewing port "fangs" to transition a little better into the top portion, but it still looks pretty good from a distance. Removing all the cross linked technic beams opened up a lot of room in the interior. I added two sets of the technic rotation joint disks to each wing and now they have three clickable positions for folding up and down. 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command ShuttleIMG_4497 MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr Command Shuttles Comparison by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr Command Shuttles Comparison by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr

    MOC: Starkiller Base Forest Duel

I have created a MOC of the iconic forest duel on Starkiller base from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This is a freebuild, so not everything is perfect and there should definetly be more trees but I think it came out nicely nonetheless. Now, my favorite part of the moc and why it took me so long to create. Video : https://www.flickr.com/photos/104099903@N07/29322290790/in/dateposted-public/ Thank you for viewing! Questions, comments, criticisms welcome.
  10. Hi there guys, this is my first post and I am sharing with you my first ever MOC! I would love to know your thoughts as well as any tips, advice or guidelines to help me with future builds. The courtyard is a two set build of the official 'Battle on Takodana' set and can actually slide out from the front as its own piece. The forest to the side of the castle (representing where Kylo Ren confronts Rey for the first time) is also its own piece and can slide out if you want to use it as a separate element. The main tower lifts off as does the entire roof section on the left hand side revealing more tables, patrons and the performance area for the band. The turret on the right side is hinged and hidden inside is a bluetooth speaker that plays 'Jabba Flow' when its turned on. I have included the room where Rey finds Luke's lightsaber. To access the room there is a vertical sliding door and the roof piece lifts off too. To populate the Castle I have mixed and matched a few of my favourite characters from the Star Wars universe, some of which are not exactly movie accurate but fun anyway, such as Hera and Sabine from 'Rebels' recruiting new members to join their crew. Greedo in the back hoping to capture another bounty and lando enjoying a drink with Figrin D'an. As for the new characters I have custom made the Crimson Corsair and GA97 (although thats really just 21B with a new paint job!) Bazine Netal... And Maz's band (including the fender guitar Sudswater Dillifay Glon is playing) Finally I added some more plants and water as a bit of detailing. Overall I have tried to include as many elements from the film as possible whilst keeping some fun elements within the MOC. I have also used a mix of bricks and colours as I was trying to give the impression that the castle is very old and has been patched up over hundreds of years...hope that comes across and it doesnt just look messy?! Like I say this was my first ever MOC however now I have well and truly got the building bug it wont be the last! Hope you enjoy!
  11. Hello here's the 3rd of my TFA inspired Microfighter builds - Kylo Ren's Shuttle. H 10.5 x W 10 x D 10 studs in dimension and 111 pieces, though that could be brought down to 100 with a little less greebliness. It has pivoting wings, a tiny ramp and a couple of stealthy flickfires underneath - plus room for a pilot of course. Kylo or maybe a FO crew member would be more appropriate. It's a tricky ship to do in Microfighter style because the wings are so huge in comparison to the hull, there's really no option other than to scale them right down if you want to keep inside the 12 stud limit. When the wings are folded out it's obviously a lot wider and generally it looks just a little larger than most official MFs, though not completely out of scale. I did most of the design in LDD and then bricklinked the parts. As usual, real bricks meant for a couple of design changes but actually for the better. It's pretty sturdy and playable as long as you don't force the wings past the stops. I didn't even attempt to make the wings slide down in the landed position it would have made them either flimsy or very bulky so just kept them in one piece. That's about all. Comments and critiques welcome! "Race you, Dad!"

    [LDD][MOD] Kylo Ren's Upsilon-class Shuttle

Huge fan of LEGO's model for Kylo Ren's Shuttle, 75104, but as many fans as well, I was very disappointed that the ship's wings did not fold out. I was also a little disappointed that the color did not completely reflect that of the ship as seen in The Force Awakens. So of course I decided to add the missing features and improve the color, as well as change some other attributes. Finally finished my LDD rendition. What do you all think? I also listed some other changes I made on MOCpages, if you want to check them out.

    [WIP] Starkiller Base

Hello all! I'm sure just about all of you have seen The Force Awakens now... in The Force Awakens, the scene that I wanted to most create in lego was the Starkiller Base speech scene, with all the Stormtroopers and Officers in the crowd, and General Hux presenting his speech prior to the destruction of Hosnian Prime. Note, I will update this as I have more progress. I've been working on this for a couple of weeks now, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome so far. But no where near done, in fact i'd say it may be only about 10-15% done at the current state. I'm going to make this HUGE. Now, instead of getting the majority of the big lego star wars force awakens related, but rather I've mainly been getting a lot of the Battlepacks that came out somewhat recently, and I plan to replicate that scene the best I can, with tons of baseplates, tons of minifigures.. Well it's not all planned out yet, but let me show you what I have so far. I'm sure others have thought about or are even doing the very same idea, and I also look forward to seeing some other versions out there at a later time. So, here it is so far. "Today is the end of the Republic! The end of a regime that acquiesces to disorder! At this very moment, in a system far from here the New Republic LIES to the GALAXY while secretly supporting the treachery of the loathsome Resistance. This fierce machine which you have built, upon which we stand, will bring an end to the Senate! To their cherished fleet! All remaining systems will bow to the First Order! And will remember this... as the last day of the Republic!" ―General Hux Starkiller Base, Update by Brick Capone, on Flickr Starkiller Base Updates by Brick Capone, on Flickr image by Brick Capone, on Flickr I found the all plain white at the back of the base a bit boring, so I decided to add a Starkiller Base hallway with a bridge overhead like you see in the movie. Anyway, tell me what you think for now, and we'll see what it looks like at the end, which will be in a long time.

    [MOC] Upsilon-class command shuttle

I’ve been working for the past three months on this project. After the 1:93 scale kit from Revell was released I reverse engineered the correct measurements and planned out a minifigure scale version. The build consists of two wings and the central body. These are mostly finished with a little more work needed to lockdown the final assembly and stability issues. I should be able to include the boarding ramp and some interior elements. Current size is 32cm (w), 44cm (l) and 56cm (h). If you watched closely during the movie you will have noticed that the upper wings slide inwards and down behind the lower wings. However, the cross-sections book and schematics show retraction tracks to pull the wings inside the lower section. Much like the original design of the shuttle (which was painted white in early promotional material) this detail must have changed late in post-production. Once I get hold of newer reference material I can change the wing design. For now I'll keep the wings in retracted mode, as a build with them deployed would be 96cm tall! As I make more progress, I'll upload photos into the album. Hope you like it.

[LDD MOC] Micro Battle on Takodana

Hello, everyone! Today I bring you a 135-piece micro scale model of 75139 Battle on Takodana! It has all the details and figures from the original set, just in a much smaller scale! It can fold in and out like the actual set, but it lacks the action features (because that would be hard as hell fitting that in with my level of experience). Please feel free to comment or criticize as you wish!
  16. Hello, here's my Microfighter version of Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle. The wings fold out like the real thing. They also collapse for landing mode but not quite like the real one. It also sports studshooters like TLG's latest microfighters.
