MODified Kinetic version of the creator 3in1 31157 set

This project began life as a kinetic sculpture attempting to simulate the unique wing movement of a hummingbird as it hovers. I used transparent parts to recreate the shimmer of the Violet-Crowned Woodnymph as it flies and did my best to accurately portray the bird's wing movement when it hovers.. The bird can be displayed on or off the kinetic gearing, atop the basket handle or on its own. Long time no see! Soaring is my latest kinetic sculpture. Wait. I have seen this before you might think. And you would of course be right. This model is heavily inspired by JK Brickworks' Pursuit of Flight. This was built for a cousin of mine who absolutely loves planes. If you have a kinetic sculpture from the absolute GOAT at your disposal that fits the bill, it would be foolish not to use it. Little video: The internal mechanism is pretty much identical. I am especially proud of the design of the planes. Unlike Jason's, these feature turning propellers. It's ridiclously simple, really. The propeller is connected to an axle that runs through the entire plane and is activated by a small gear on the rear. This forced me to build the entire plane with a core of 1x1 Technic bricks on their side. These bricks limit the design quite a bit, but also give it a fun Lego look. The base is brand-new too and features an Earth Blue ocean with some fun clouds (simple but really effective and fluffy!) - a combination of Dalek/Travis bricks, headlight/Erling bricks and plates and bricks. The cliffs on the background are loosely inspired by the White Cliffs of Dover and feature a lighthouse as a way to break the environment and tie the red/white colour scheme together. Same with the boat. The base is also new and far more ornate than Jason's original. Anyway, I think I gave it my signature look while keeping the genius of Jason's mechanism. Hello, folks! Without long introduction - here are all my brickheadz so far (more than half are new, others - you could see them, but they have been slightly reworked). Note for mobile users - there will be many pics to load for your device. All building instructions are free. I'll add some comments by the way, but pics should do better :) 1) Newlyweds - kinetic model Animation (it may take some time to load): What is love? Baby don't h.. Hm, that's not what should have been said :) This couple celebrates their marriage with great dance. By the way, almost 22000 ukrainian couples got married since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. Love and peace will win! This model is driven manually by rotating a gear in back of the stand and can be motorised if you connect any motor you have to it. Given that the stand, groom and bride are separate models that work together, you can re-insert the bride and groom to make them rotate in the range you want. It also means you can use this stand to make your own brickheads "dance" as long as they have similar structure (all internal mechanics). Free building instruction: Rebrickable 2) Ukrainians A brave cossack; his younger brother; beatiful girl - they all can be the symbols of Ukraine. Let's take a closer look: This brave cossack has an earring in the left ear. Years ago it meant he was the one and only son of his mother. He wears traditional cossack pants - "sharovary" and traditional shirt - "vishivanka". Also, his hairstyle is called "oseledets" or "chub". Animation: Young girl. She also wears traditional combination of jacket and an embroidered skirt. Her flower wreath with colored ribbons is a symbol of youth and girlhood. Animation: Baby cossack - a symbol of ukrainian kids. Hey everyone! Welcome to my latest LEGO Ideas project - a kinetic sculpture of an Orrery where the earth goes round the sun and the moon round the earth. The Moon revolves around the Earth while the earth revolves around the Sun. The mechanics are hidden nicely inside the base. I have put a lot of effort into making the model as sturdy as I can, and the motion as smooth as possible. The model was built to look as nice as possible, with a detailed, brick-built version of the Earth. Dimensions of the build: 35x18.5x28 (LxBxHcm) Pieces This model has 1200 LEGO Bricks (give or take a few). I built the model digitally to check! Aim My aim with this model was not to make a 100% accurate scientific model of an orrery, but rather to make something that looked great on display, while still being functional. I also wanted to make the design as compact so as to keep it affordable. Another important aspect of this project was the varied build experience - a combination of Technic and System bricks to create an interesting and fun build. This model would also have a very wide appeal - from space and astronomy fans to technic fans, as well as people who like collecting models for display. Hope you like this project! I originally wanted to post this on May the 4th but was not admitted to this forum yet - so I'm a bit delayed but I hope you like it anyway. First of all I want to give credits and thanks to JK Brickworks for his great design of the Pursuit of Flight and his free instructions for it. It’s really fun how smoothly the mechanism works. He inspired me to build my own version with the Battle of Hoth. In my youth I loved to play the scene where Luke fights the AT-AT with his snow speeder on PC. Looking for fellow LEGO top-makers here on Eurobricks. Very little posted on this building genre so far, but I'd very much like to change that. Special Themes seems to be the best fit. Over the last 2-3 years, I've designed and built at least 1,000 working tops and still have well over 700 in my collection. As you can see from my MOCpages top folder and the videos below, the visual and mechanical design possibilities with this simple kinetic art form are truly endless -- especially in the LEGO realm. Since tops are mostly about motion, I'll embed a few of my less conventional spintop videos as an introduction. No need to watch any of them all the way through. Yuri Fassio held annual top-making contests for several years on MOCpages, ending ca. 2012, but there was never much activity between contests, and all but a handful of the tops posted there in recent years have been mine. It'd be nice to have some company.

Hi, i'm in the process of making a new MOC. It will be a mini assault on Hoth MOC, BUT with a kinetic walking AT-AT as centre-piece. I have parts to somewhat test the walking mechanism, but I don't have enough parts to build the whole MOC, so I can't acquire good footage and test it properly. I'm asking for someone with quite an impressive lego parts collection to build my moc, test it and take some photos and most importantly a video of it. Together we can improve it and eventually put it up on Rebrickable. Any other suggestions and/or improvements are ofcourse welcome as well. I will add a render of the current state of the MOC, just so you have an idea of the finished MOC. Thanks.

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, ignition! Tintin needs no introduction really. Created by Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi (Hergé), Tintin is a reporter and adventurer who travels the world in search of adventure and stories. Over the course of the 20th century, Hergé drew a series of 24 comic books with Tintin as the protagonist. Two of the most fascinating are Objective: Moon (Objectif: Lune) and Explorers on the Moon (On a marché sur la Lune) which in the early 1950s showed what a Moon mission could look like, something that would not become a reality until some fifteen years later. One of the key elements of these albums was the rocket to the moon: the red-and-white V2-inspired machine is one that has captured the imagination of many (including me, of course ) Here's a little video of my rocket in motion: I tried to make the rocket itself move upwards, but I couldn't find a proper way of doing so without intersecting with the already moving clouds of smoke or destabilising the whole model. Truth be told, the clouds are pretty weak and as much as I would love to make instructions for the whole model, it's just way too flimsy for my lax standards to even approve. I'm planning though on making instructions for the rocket alone with a simple base, which is definitely secure enough. And pretty cheap too: I think it was somewhere along the 270-piece mark. This origniated from my father, who is huge Tintin fan. For his birthday earlier this March, I gifted him this kinetic sculpture of the famous rocket lifting off. The clouds of smoke move thanks to two simple camshafts, creating the illusion of the rocket really lifting off. Most are positioned parallel to one another except for the second-to-last row which is angled to give some more interest to the model. You can find a complete album on my Flickr and on my Instagram.

Hello there! I want to show you my first kinetic sculpture - Walking Grievous. Figure is activated by turning a little switch on the left side of a stand. This swith is connected to the PF Battery Box via interesting lever. The stand contains M-motor for the main function - walking. L-motor for battle mode. Walking mechanism consists of two levers to move legs forwards and backwards and lifting them. Also M-motor drives a crankshaft to move whole figure up and down for more realistic movements. p This is not a 75112 set at all. Only things thsy have in common are chestplate and head. Other thing are different. Legs have been completely reworked to match Grievous from TCW series, I've added tubes for his neck, trans-yellow barrel-pieces for chest container and removed a lot of spare plates and armor. Now the figure is much closer to the original proportions of General. It also has battle mode - Grievous is able to twirl his sabers with upper arms, which can be added and connected to the L-motor with an axle behind Grievous's back. Hey guys, For the last few weeks I've been working on something that I have never seen done before. I was inspired by Jkbrickworks kinetic contraptions so I decided to make my own, kinetic, motorized AT-AT Walker. [MOC] Día de Muertos - Animated skeleton ready for the parade

- The Dead are alive - "007 Spectre" opening scene anyone ? Día de Muertos celebrations are taking place in Mexico at this time of the year. I have always liked their atmosphere and aesthetics, and the way they honor the memory of lost relatives and friends in a colorful an joyful way. (yes, I do have a sweet spot for The Book of Life and Grim Fandango too) This is my best attempt at creating a float that could take part into the parade. I wanted motion, as much of it as possible. So it has : forward / backward moving legs / arms / head spinning platform (subtly) dancing mariachi All movements are linked together, speed is adjusted with the remote control. It also includes lights, because the parade does not stop at night ! Powered by : 1 M-motor - 3 PF lights - 1 IR receiver - 1 PF speed remote control - 1 PF AAA battery box (88000) + black light to enhance the night shots Please enjoy !
