modular Edna Mode designer fashion shop with 1951 Hudson Hornet - real world MOCs (finished 5/17/23)

So I built my expanded modular Pixar UP house, but the box it's going in has room for another building of 16x32 size. Instead of just making another building from scratch, I decided to transplant Edna Mode's fashion shop onto a modular standard base. You can see the results below. This model was partially inspired by the both buildings in set 10308 - Holiday Main Street from the Winter Village collection. I added a back to it, changed the color scheme around and fixed some areas. I also replaced the original toys with clothing items for sale to make it into a shop for fashion designer Edna Mode from the Incredibles film franchise. (Apparently she has branched off from superhero costumes into the regular fashion market.) The rear has a delivery entrance and a simple porch light on the first floor, while the second / third floors have the chimney flue. On the inside, the lower floor has the shop full of items for sale - from tiaras to top hats, pants to suits. Upstairs is Edna's workshop, complete with sewing machine and long folds of different-colored cloth. I also have a heater / cooker, and a bunch of drawers full of patterned cloth pieces and clothing designs. The vintage sewing machine was from free instructions seen on Rebrickable by user @Scarlet_Patronus. (The lower floor's display cases were also based on items from this talented builder.) The third floor contains Edna's office complete with vault filled with gold, a desk with two chairs, some green kryptonite in a lead-glass case, (a gift from Batman) a old-fashioned TV on a bunch of cabinets, and a Superhero phone on a printed wall piece. This fabulous 1951 Hudson Hornet was originally a @hachiroku design of a Hudson Hornet that I modified quite a bit to be Edna Mode's car. The reason for this specific design is I was struggling to come up with a good 8-wide 1950's / 60's car design for her for use with the tailor shop. Then I remembered I had this design of a blue Hudson Hornet, (extremely similar to the one in CARS) and it just clicked. The car fit the era nicely, and it was high-end enough for Mode to drive without it seeming too odd. You can find the original builder's version here. The rear of the vehicle. custom Incredibles super villain "Kodachrome" + colorfully-painted truck w/ laser cannon - 70921 MOD

Backstory of Mr. Incredible super villain "Kodachrome": Originally from the far future of 2525 where expression, color, and are virtually outlawed and emotion heavily suppressed in order to achieve prefect uniformity, Simon Paulson was a rebel since birth, quite literally. His eyes had a strange birth defect that let to them changing hue constantly. His parents hid him away in the mid-1940's using experimental time travel technology after he painted their city's mayor's house purple. The parents were supposed to pick him up again in 20 years (their time) but an accident after transit destroyed them and the time machine, stranding him in 1946. He gained a reputation in the intervening twenty year's time as non-conformist, rebel, and eventually an outright villain for painting buildings, streets, people, and even the local sky colors they shouldn't be. He does this using very advanced technology he cobbled together himself, and the colors even can affect people's minds - blue makes them depressed, red = angry, yellow is fearful, etc. Mister Incredible has faced Kodachrome (his adopted alias since 1946) multiple times during commission of his crimes which have included: - painting the Statue of Liberty blue and causing tourists inside to become severely depressed - turning the Golden Gate bridge purple to cause jealousy incidents across San Francisco - turning Frozone and Mr. Incredible's suit's yellow (intense fear) to allow him to sabotage a early US rocket launch un-hindered. (stopped by Elastigirl on this occasion) - robbing several banks, museums, and laboratories to create a time machine to cause colorful havoc in ALL times (coalition of Frozone, Mr. Incredible, and Gazerbeam stopped him and his army of mind-controlled civilian minions) Actual Name: Simon Paulson Super-Alias: Kodachrome Villainy Grade: A Status: At Large Mental ability: Genius level intellect, criminally insane The truck Kodachrome uses for his colorful criminal caper's when they need to be mobile. Rear of the truck, which is a MOD of set 70921 (Harley Quinn Cannonball Attack) from The LEGO Batman Movie's third wave. Under the hood, showcasing the engine. (Two blue slope parts are missing from this area, while the 4 x 4 dishes on the laser cannon are missing this print as well.) Yes, this is 100% build-able and will be constructed IRL for use with Mr. Incredible and his car I've just finished building. Hello everyone, This is my first post and I am eager to share with you my interpretation of the Incredibile from the Incredibles movies. The Incredibles is one of my favourite movies and I have always been a fan of Mr. Incredibles sleek superhero car. We got a version of this as a Juniors set as well as a model in the LEGO Incredibles videogame, but I wasn't satisfied with that design. I found that it didn't really capture the overall feel of the car even if many of the details were correct. My design is fundamentally different than the one in the videogame. Some noticeable differences are the shape of the 'i' symbol on the front, the height of the side panels of the car, as well as the jet booster on the back and I also came up with a unique way of capturing the shape of the headlights. Photo 2020-04-22, 7 31 04 PM by Mr. Dufresne, on Flickr An important detail for me to include was the tapering of the car towards the back, I have always found this to be an iconic part of the shape. The back wheels are actually set in from the sides one more stud than the front wheels. Photo 2020-04-22, 7 32 09 PM by Mr. Dufresne, on Flickr I took some liberty here with having the base of the 'i' flare out, but I think that this really works well when translating it to LEGO and it allowed me to create the front grill using the sloped grill pieces. Photo 2020-04-22, 7 32 46 PM by Mr. Dufresne, on Flickr I knew once I found this black turbine piece in my collection that it was the piece I wanted to use although it was a bit of a hassle getting it attached to the rest of the car. I also really like how the modified piece in the middle there forms a sort of cowling around the turbine. Unfortunately I wasn't able to add the little wings on the side rocket pods because all the solutions I came up with took away too much from the shaping of the back. I also included in here the screen Mr. Incredible has, which I always remembered was green, and a control panel for some of the gadgets. There is also some seating in the back however it is only tall enough back there for the Jack-Jack figure to fit. Hello everyone! I am new to eurobricks, however I have been a AFOL for many years now. I wanted to post my new MOC of The Incredibles Glory Days. The Incredibles may be my favorite movies and something about the flashback scenes hold a special place for me. I spent hours pulling as many details as I could from the movie to recreate my MOC as accurately as possible. I give you Lego The Incredibles Glory Days! This is one of my entries for the Incredibles contest on Lego Ideas. It is meant to take place after the events of Incredibles 2. After moving back to the suburbs, the Incredibles invited their friends over for a BBQ to celebrate Dash's birthday! Dash is playing with his new toys and accidentally splashes Violet with water as he runs over the pool, but she's able to deflect it using her shield powers. Meanwhile, Elastigirl is putting the finishing touches on the decorations as she hangs up a banner by herself by stretching her arms. Frozone has just joined the party and is also using his powers to help decorate by turning the Incredibles' fountain into an ice sculpture. Mr. Incredible is by the grill holding a huge platter of food with his super strength. Jack-Jack is helping him grill the meat with his fire powers. Edna is throwing away an old cape that she found in Bob's closet while a racoon is stealing some trash. Just as they're about to eat, the party is crashed by Bomb Voyage and the Underminer, the two super villains that have escaped the Incredibles in the past! Bomb Voyage is about to literally blow up the Incredibles' inbox with a mail bomb while the Underminer emerges in a smaller version of his Tunneler which causes a pizza delivery truck to crash into a fire hydrant. Presents, cake, and fighting bad guys? Best birthday ever! I tried to include as many details as possible in this scene, including a few of the easter eggs that you see in all the Pixar movies, such as the pizza planet truck, A113, the famous Luxo ball and lamp, and a character voiced by John Ratzenberger.
