This had me thinking when I watched the Day of the Departed Ninjago special. Lego has a lot of original characters with 4 arms. Be it Samukai Garmadon and Kozu from Ninjago. Skull Slicer from Bionicle gen 2. And don't get me started on the several 4 armed villains from hero factory. Star Wars sets have some 4 armed characters but that's not cause of lego but the source material But the question is why does Lego like this idea?

My character for hero factory. I made one for each series, partly because through sheer luck, I selected blue as his main color and that always got used in the series itself, so I got lots of good parts. He started with a 2.0 style hero recon set. His power is energy absorption/redirection, hence the glowing armor. 1.0 Lightly modified 1.0 frame with a cool gun. I'm really happy with it, despite the simplicity 2.0 My Hero recon set, with minor alterations to compensate for the hero recon builder's limitations. 3.0 I saw stringers helmet and thought "predator!" right off the bat. So Radon 3.0 ended up being a predator homage with a spear, wrist blades, and shoulder cannon with independent tracking. Breakout Radon This guy has a space marine vibe, with 2 awesome weapons, and lots of armor. I didn't like the breakout/superhero torso much, so I stuck with the 2.0 chest. He has the newer hero core on his back as a backup Radon XL Brain Attack was where I started running out of steam, this guy is obviously a furno mod, but I liked that years furno alot. The cape is connected way better, sword is awesome, much cleaner, and condensed compared to furno A fun group shot. And I didn't forget Invasion from below: No mech, cause bionicle g2 became a thing (and now its gone)

I think this is the first time I share something here, but here I am. I am totally in love with the new Hero Factory 14 product, and be studing on how to modify them for a while. And here is the first mecha come out of this study Battle Mecha Breeze When I look at the line up that is out in the market now, I found that breez doesn't have a mecha! And that's why she is getting one now Overview: Cockpit Look: Weapon collection overview: Build-in Weapon: - Chainsaw on wrist armor Equipment: - Sniper canon, with ammo pack - Machine Gun (From 2011 sets) - Energy Shield Now Breez is done, Time to build another one Rocka seems nice -------------------------------------- If you are interested in what other stuff I had build in the past, please visit my flickr page as below. https://www.flickr.com/photos/iced_coffee/

Ok... so I was wondering, why did Lego change the ball joints from a smooth bracket to a ridged one? Was it just used to make the new wave feel different from the rest? As the old joints were much more durable, why did the designers choose such a fragile design? Could someone inform me on the reasoning of this odd choice of design?

Okay, here's something I've been working for a few weeks ago. I am really big fan of Hero Factory 1.0 designs. More over, I never considered the new Ultrabuild system aesthetically good, although it was my dream to combine Ultrabuild poseability and 1.0 design. I don't think I am the only one here, and it is really good to know. Also my LDD models are always were kinda realistic - I am certain that about 70% of my models will be really solid and sturdy in real. So my other goal while making those custom bodies was to create something that I can build in real life someday. Hero Factory Reloaded - full custom body by The Mugbearer, on Flickr There they are, my custom Heroes. The left one is for female characters like Natalie Breez and the left one is for male. The legs and body are compatible with v1.0 armor (the photo represents only legs because the model was made a few years ago). As you can see, the frame is quite poseable. Also, it's pretty easy to modify. The main feature of the frame is something that adds more lore basis: a Quaza Core right under the Hero Core. Stormer 1.7 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Ah, Preston Stormer. He was the first one to get the new body. It was mostly because I found his helmet after latest LDD update and was really glad. I've added a Bionicle Stars foot and think that it fits well here. Breez 1.7 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Natalie Breez was first Hero I made with female body. Bulk 1.7 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Duncan Bulk with new body that is covered with armor. Laser minigun was inspired by X-Com: Enemy Unknown. Rocka 1.7 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Daniel Rocka ready to drop the hammer! Furno 1.7 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr It was always with my Furno models that I add a weapon holder on his back. I like it that way. Evo 1.7 by The Mugbearer, on FlickrI already made more, but will upload them later. Surge 1.7 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Nex 1.7 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Stringer 1.7 by The Mugbearer, on Flickr C&C are much appreciated, as always. Get the file of the frame.
