[MOC] Gibson Les Paul Junior & Fender Telecaster

13 Nov 2021 Update: I built a Gibson Les Paul Junior to go with the Telecaster! Full post for this one a little farther down. Original post follows: 21329: Fender Stratocaster was released yesterday and, you know, it's cool and all, but Strats just aren't my thing. Honestly, I'm much more of a Telecaster kind of guy. Of course, my first thought was to attempt this as a B-model or alternate build, but there's just nothing that could possibly represent the "ashtray" bridge and control plate that comes on the stock guitar. So, freed of the shackles of parts limitations, I had some fun with it! Fitting the control plate and jack meant I couldn't use the same nestled curved slope and arch combo that I could on the other side. I'm pretty sure this is just about the tightest, least gappy fit I could achieve here for a relatively seamless body. The selector is a box wrench between 4 sideways rail plates. I had to compress the string assembly quite a bit to fit it here. On the Strat, the pickguard covers the assembly up top and a back plate covers it from behind, leaving 5 plates' worth of vertical height to fit the string/guide assembly into. The Tele has a smaller pickguard and no back plate, so I only had 3 plates' worth of height to fit the same basic thing. This required the most iteration and revision, but we got there! The headstock, of course, is far narrower and more curvy than the 70's profile Strat headstock LEGO modeled the official set on. A fun comparison to my own Telecaster! Hope you enjoy! -

A quick quick build for the third week of the innovalug contest, the entry needs to sit on 4 studs or less. As a tele player myself, I thought I'd give the iconic butterscotch telecaster a try, heavily roadworn of course. Guitars are difficult to build at this scale I discovered. Hugely inspired by seeing Modulex Guy's Flying V last week in this forum, I did my take on it. I always liked the Rudolph Schenker (Scorpions) / Michael Schenker (UFO) Flying V - Half Black, Half White - so my "paint job" reflected that esthetic. Pardon the photo quality - that is not in my skill set, but here they are - entirely of LEGO pieces - 13 hours start to finish - I had all the pieces and Modulex's photos to steer the design and scale (most important part). [MOC] Rockie - A rock guitarist that can move to the music!

This is a LEGO Ideas project I have made of Rockie - a guitarist that can keep the beat to the music. See more at the project site. I would appreciate if you gave it a look and your support! Rockie's head and neck can move (the same kind of mechanism I used in my Star Wars Bobbleheads) and if you have some music on and tap on his head it looks like he is keeping the beat to the music. See a video that demonstrates this . Rockie is a teenager who dreams of becoming a great music star one day. "Practice makes perfect!" is his motto. So far his only fan is his mouse friend Mac who always sits and listens to his guitar play. He specifically enjoys playing rock music, but also other kinds of music like jazz and blues. -

after my strange and complicated 6x6 (that no one likes I think ahaha) I decided to build something simple that is extremely rare :3 I got the idea just today while playing with a broken white-out and looking to its transparent (because empty) string I remembered that plastic strings can be folded up to obtain stronger strings… i folded up, twisted several times one piece and i pull it, while plucked it made a good sound :3 so more or less in 2h (tune this instrument is not simple ) i built up this MOC, it is only a concept and it need (as rare part) only 4 LA it works like a pluck instrument or a guitar, but is has only 4 string like a bass (like a boss ) i use a minifig spear as plectrum, hope I can upload a audio memo file soon, this is the "guitar" -LAs are to tuning the strings -withe-out strings twisted with one L motor - a normal box as a loudspeaker - from the longer to the shorter strings are tuned in: C4 A4 C5 F5

Tried to find any MOCs related to guitars made of technic, but found nothing decent. Then tried to make it myself.
