Hello, I bought 70671 and I have two questions about the three tail fox: Does someone know what the printed 4-digit number on the bottom of the left-front paw means? It has the format [digit][digit][letter][digit] The mold seems to be two parts glued/molted together, but at the end of the tail seems to be a little gap. Is that a tear that is going to become bigger and brake the mold, or is that little gap by design? Does someone else have this fox that can check this for me? I already tried to look in Bricklink Studio, but I could not find this piece. It is also really small, so I cannot get a picture of it, but I can see it when holding in front of something bright.

Always loved the unique design of the Arwings from Starfox. Many cool Arwing MOCs already out there but with this I especially aimed for the classic blocky design from the original game (which is the best, imo) and I tried to keep it as small and simple but also as recognizable and playable as possible. Now that Lego has partnered with Nintendo a Lego Starfox franchise might be a thing?!?

My entry for the LEGO House Rebrick contest. Upon seeing the categories, I knew I wanted to create a landscape – the question was, what kind? After much deliberation, (and even a couple of failed starts), I decided on doing a serene winter forest. I tried to create a deep, fluffy feeling for the snow, which I think ended up working very well. The icy trees are something I’ve wanted to try for a while now too – let me know what you think of them! Credit for the idea of using light yellow in the path goes to Mark Erickson, and his Northward Bound build. Inspiration for the fox design goes to Markus, to Balbo for the squirrel design, and Dathil for the deer head. More pictures on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome

[MOC] Coyote 4x4x4

So after building the jaguar 4x4x4 I got an idea to make a lighter, less part destructive version. The main idea behind it is to combine motor placlement of the fox 8x8x8 with doble wishbone suspension of the jaguar. This kind of setup enables the model to use only 2 gears/wheel and keeps the wheels always parallel relative to the body. Here are first preliminary pictures: Compared to the fox and jaguar, here are the improvements: - The servo motor is placed closer to the steering rack, therebye more-than-less removing steering flexibility - I am using two steering racks per axle for aditional steering system stiffness - Suspension is now almost horizontal and takes little room - Angle of the suspension travel is 30 degrees/wheel - Foxes's proven concept of the motor gearing eliminates the possibility of breaking gears/joints - I plan to use V2 receivers for that extra bit of juice - Shorter wheelbase allows for better steering radious and offroad performance - less likely to hang on an obstacle - Lower, more stable design - more room left for interrior UPDATE: Its been a while... But here are the new pictures and the video I improved model a bit, raising its ground clearance and removing some parts on the underbody, so its harder for it to get lodged As usual I also made an LDD file, which you can download here. After the realtive succesfull black wolf I think its time to make a new, better and cuter Technic animal. I decided to make a silverfox, since I have some 1000+ of antennas with the gray base. Compared to the black wolf, this model will have many improvments starting with total rebuild of joints. Back in 'ol 2011 the ball joints just came out and were rather a novelity. Now I have enough ball joints, and linear actuators to make a mechanical analougous of hips, shoulder and muscles. Total amount of LA's used in this model will be 10 or more, having 6 large and 4 small LAs. The number of ball joints will be 6, four for legs and 2 for head and tail. I already built a mockup both in LDD and real life. Notice that the body is quite compact even though there are 6M motors, 6LA's and some 30 gears in there. So far it may seem like a unrecognisable shape of bits, but if you looks closer you can see where the legs will attach to the body. The whole body is also double articulated in front and rear. And its articulated to the front and rear can swing not only sideways, but also up and down, so the fox will be able to bend spine in all directions.

Yo! With everyone building machinery and such I decided to make something a bit more...furry So I (too) combined the 9392 and 42026 sets and made this little beasty: I was actually inspired by the small orange panels, I thought to myself those are some awesome ears. Function wise foxy is quite packed: Using a special lock his rear legs can be placed in standing or sitting positon: So here's the little bugger sitting: And because his jaw is actuated by the worm gear he can also grab his favourite toy: I used the flex tubes on the tail in such way they push on the body, creating friction. This means his tail can move up and down- Tail in normal position: And raised: And now he's just being silly: I used 263 of the 307 combined parts. Total time spent on building, rebuilding, optimising, etc... was some 3 days - I'd say around 8 hours total. I think he's the first pullback motor powered quad, which is actually quite hard to make because the pullback motors are not really good for non-linear moving mechanisms. My personally favourite feature besides walking and sitting is the ear movement because it gives him an ability to express himself. All in all I am very pleased about this model because its just so different from the regular stuff. Hello everyone, I've thought about the LEGO Simpsons episode in relation to other LEGO licensed releases to DVD and Blu-Ray, and I wanted to start an open discussion about some of the questions below: 1. How will the LEGO Simpsons episode "Brick Like Me" be released? Would it be with the Season box set, or an independent release for LEGO fans? 2. When can we expect it released? 3. If it was an independent release, what type of exclusive minifigure could we expect with it? Although I have no information about its release, I created this topic to offer up predictions and possibilities for what the future may hold. Please be respectful to all user's comments; everyone's opinion is welcome and if questioned must not be done in a harmful way. In my opinion, I hope it's a separate release since LEGO fans may be less willing to buy an expensive box set for just one episode's worth (unless they like the Simpsons or have already bought it on iTunes for $2.99). If it has an exclusive figure, I wouldn't imagine LEGO making a new Simpsons mold for a figure. They typically create a variation of an existing figure for these DVD/Blu-Ray releases. I predict it would be a variation of Homer or Bart, never made before but changed by color or printing. For example, Bart in his original clothes from the original Simpsons shows when he had a blue shirt and blue shorts. Or maybe Homer in one of thousands of outfits he's worn before.
