With his new ship The Spirit of Eryos, Prince Kevin the Navigator can finally live up to his name as a Navigator! He has set sail in search of new land, and is currently navigating through a cluster of tiny islands seemingly inhabited by Monkeys. Bartholomeus, his new apprentice, is travelling with him. The Spirit of Eryos The Spirit of Eryos The Spirit of Eryos The Spirit of Eryos Here is a view of the back The Spirit of Eryos, Back The deck The Spirit of Eryos, Deck Some photos of the ship itself The Spirit of Eryos The Spirit of Eryos And the interior The Spirit of Eryos, Beds The Spirit of Eryos, Captain's Cabin Wow, I don't know how I managed to finish this in time for the challenge deadline! The image quality is not great, as it was rushed. I also dont have a different colored backdrop, so the sails are hard to see. Sorry! The only non-LEGO parts are the sails, which are craft foam with designs done by markers. The ship most closely resembles a carrack, although instead of a third mast I connected the back sail to the main mast. The ship has some rigging and a full interior. The hardest part about the build was probably making sure there were no gaps in the shaping of the front of the hull, as well as making the entire hull bow in just slightly. The son of a Mitgardian shepard, Bartholomeus and his sheepdog were sent by his father in search of a better life. He is headed for Eryos Castle to learn from Prince Kevin the Navigator, who was a former chicken farmer. But first, he must travel through the dense forests of Avalonia. Journey to Eyros by KevinyWu, on Flickr I really wanted to use the bamboo pieces that were on the pick a brick wall a while ago. I planned to use them on Eryos Castle, which I did on the rocks, but I had a ton left over! In fact, I still have a ton left over, but I was limited by the amount of lime green studs I had.
When not on duty, four soldiers from Eryos Castle come together to become Eryosmith! They perform in taverns and inns around Avalonia. Eryosmith Band, Instruments by KevinyWu, on Flickr This was a fun small build, and coming up with the designs for the cello and organ was especially enjoyable. Two more creations and I can enter the 5th anniversary challenge! More pictures are available on my Flickr Album
