Moff Pyerce served the Empire faithfully while the Emperor was alive. After the Battle of Endor he kept his star systems in line and hoped for the best. But when he received his orders for Operation Cinder he decided the Empire he once served was finished. It wasn't that his orders made him squeamish. Pyerce just saw Cinder as an act of desperation from a dying government. He convinced five Star Destroyer captains as well as a handful of frigates to join him and they've formed their own Imperial faction. They did not join the Battle of Jakku but watched as much of the Empire was defeated there. Now Moff Pyerce is seeking to form the Pyerce Empire. He has split his fleet up to create blockades around key planets. If they don't join him, he's threatened to bombard them with his Star Destroyers until there's nothing left on the planet's surface. Each planet has sent out a distress signal to the New Republic asking for aid. But this signal was intercepted by each faction. Now the factions are mobilizing their fleets to respond to this new threat. Some want to help the New Republic defend the planets. Others just want to take advantage of the strife to try to gain these planets for themselves. Each planet with a blockade has an essential export:Tibanna - Kril'Dor (I7)Minerals - Bonadan (S3) Foodstuffs - Uyter (P9)Starships - Fondor (L13) Contest Specifics: Factions can build on any of the 4 planets regardless of current access. Each faction can build on as many different planets as they want, but are encouraged to concentrate their efforts for maximum effect. Cat A) With the blockades, fleets can't get through to the blocked planets without getting stopped or spotted. But smaller craft can avoid the patrols and make their way to the planet's surface. This allows for small strike teams to begin attacks on the planet's surface. Show your land forces fighting with Pyerce forces or natives. Size limit: 32x32. Cat B) Pyerce's forces need to be driven off or eliminated if the planets are going to be saved. His blockade is going to need to be dealt with. Show a space battle with at least 2 ships, one from your faction and one from Pyerce. Pyerce's doesn't have to be a TIE variant, just make sure your story explains the ship choice. You can build any size for this including minifigure or mini scale. You can build fighters, capital ships, or both. Size limit: none. Cat C) As the different Faction's fleets take on the blockades, someone has to be in command. Show the interior of your faction's command ship deck. Think Star Destroyer bridge, Home One bridge, etc. Size limit: none The Rules: Entries should be set during the Factions Era, roughly 6 ABY. Entries will be judged according to the following rules: Your build can earn up to 50 points. The amount of points you earn is also the amount of XP your character earns. All entries must be new creations, not posted anywhere else prior to the start date of this episode. You can use creations for this contest in other forums or contests, but it should not have been displayed before the start date for this contest. You may be asked by a staff member to change your entry if it is too similar to an earlier creation. All entries must be built from real LEGO or with Lego Digital Designer. No third-party molds may be used for the subject non-human. If you are using Lego Digital Designer, please remember you can only use existing colors and pieces. Also be aware that the judges will watching to make sure your LDD model could hold itself up in real-life. Post pictures no larger than 1024x768, as specified in the EB Member Guidelines. You may do a 'full-blown photo edit' with all the text, effects, background compositing, support erasing, and other effects on ANY picture. For obvious reasons, any photo editing that changes the shape, functionality, or color (not tint or adjustment, but actual color) of a LEGO piece is prohibited,. All entries are considered WIPs (Works In Progress) until the deadline passes. Until the deadline has passed, you are allowed to change and improve your MOC. The Prizes: You will receive XP equal to the number of points you are awarded from the judges. XP will be converted to IP to be distributed by the Faction Leader to any planet within the build sector. So if Clan Elder has 5 builds totaling 33 XP on Uyter, Ross Fisher can choose any planet in P9 to get 33 IP. Factions must distribute at least 10 IP to any planet they choose (so Ross couldn't give 1 IP to each planet - "seeding" them for later builds). If a Faction earns less than 10 IP in a sector, they may only choose one planet to distribute the IP they have. If two Factions distribute 50+ IP to any one planet, the Faction with the most XP on that sector's target planet will get their IP attributed first. The player with the most XP overall will win this custom minifigure: The player with the second most XP overall will win these minifigures: The Faction with the most XP overall will get 50 IP on any/all of the four planets where they earned a majority of the XP compared to the other factions. The Faction with the second most XP overall will get 25 IP on any planet where they earned a majority of the XP. The Faction with the third most XP overall will get 10 IP on any planet where they earned a majority of the XP. For example, if the Tirumvirate has the most XP in the whole episode and a majority of the XP on Kril'Dor and Fondor, they will each 50IP on those planets. If CorSec earns the second most XP overall, they will receive 25IP on any planet where they earn a majority of the XP. If the first, second, or third place Factions did not earn a majority of XP on any planet, they will not receive any extra IP not earned through their XP conversion. One Holocron is hidden on a (canonical) planet in an adjacent sector to each target planet, a total of 4 new holocrons. Factions that gain a majority of XP on a target planet will be given the precise location of the Holocron adjacent to that planet

Narvu Flanch is a monster hunter. He specializes in dragons, but for the right price he will take on any of the galaxies most fearsome beasts. Rumor has it he lost his eye trying to capture a Nexu during the Clone Wars. They also say that he uses techniques that were developed as far back as the Old Republic. And probably the most important rumor is that he has found a secret hyperspace route during one of his adventures. The Factions quietly send some of their best people to find Narvu and see if the rumors are true. Contest Specifics: This is your chance to show you've got what it takes to capture, subdue, or kill one of the galaxy's most powerful beasts. Category A: Show your character collecting information on where to hunt a beast. Maybe you're consulting the knowledge of one of the galaxies famous libraries. Maybe you're following up leads at a local cantina. Or maybe you're already a skilled tracker and are following the trail of a beast. Max size: 20x20 Category B: Show yourself or a hunting party going after one of the galaxies Dragons! You might be hunting a Krayt Dragon of Tatooine, a Kell Dragon, a Zillo Beast of Malastare, an Arkanian Dragon found in the frozen diamond mines of Arkania, a Dathomiri Rock Dragon, an ice dragon of Toloran, an Ithorian dragon, or an Ubese Thorn-Back War Dragon. Show the terrain of the planet you've found the dragon on, the dragon itself, and the process you take to go about subduing one of these great beasts. Max size: unlimited. Category C: Show yourself or a hunting party going after one of the galaxies other monsters. You might be hunting a Bull Rancor on Dathomir, a Nexu of Cholganna, or a Wampa on Hoth. The emphasis of this contest is dragons, so if you're going to go after another beast you need to show your skills! Special emphasis should be on the monster and it must be brick-built. No pre-fab molds for Rancors, Wampas, etc. allowed. Minimum size: 16x16 Category D: Show the resulting trophy from your endeavors. Did you mount the skull on your wall? Did you donate the skeleton to a museum? Did you turn the hide into a throw-rug? Max size: 16x16 The Rules: Entries can be set during any era. You can build any monster from Star Wars on any planet, just make a good story if you're doing something weird like hunting a Wampa on Coruscant (E.g. you could be hunting rancors or crayt dragons anywhere in the galaxy). Factions have appeared all over the galaxy. The New Republic is still trying to sway enough planets over to its side to become the legitimate replacement for the Empire. Various Imperial Factions are vying for control of as many sectors as they can manage to control. The Scum of the galaxy is running rampant. What does all this mean? A lot of business for the many Corporations across the galaxy. Starfighters in particular are in high demand. Incom, Sienar, and MandalMotors in particular have seen a spike in profits as every Faction buys up the Starfighters they think will help them gain control of new territories or hold on to the ones they already have. Incom - Location: Fresia K10 Z-95 Headhunter ARC-170 U-Wing T-47 Airspeeder (Snowspeeder) X-Wing Sienar - Location: Castell M9 Sith Infiltrator TIE Series: Fighter, Interceptor, Defender, Bomber, Advance, Reaper, Striker, etc. MandalMotors - Location: Mandalore O7 Fang Fighter Kom'rk Fighter M3-A Fighter Aka'jor Shuttle Lancer Class Pursuit Craft Contest Specifics: Build a Starfighter from one of the three Corporations. The Starfighter should be minifigure scale. It should clearly fall within the Starfighter category and not be classified as a transport ship or larger. If you have questions please ask! You can also build a setting for your Starfighter: the factory where it's built, a shipyard in space where it's built, testing the Starfighter on a planet, taking the Starfighter into battle, etc. Each entry will be judged in two ways. The Starfighter will be judged by itself. Then the setting will be judged. The combined score will equal your XP/IP for the contest. But control of the Corporation will only be judged on the score from the Starfighter. Entries can be set on any planet and will earn appropriate XP and IP there. Regular rules for IP access apply. The highest scoring Starfighter for each Corporation will earn 50 IP on the corresponding headquarters. Only the Starfighters will be scored for this reward. So if CorSec builds the best MandalMotors Starfighter, CorSec will get 50 IP on Mandalore regardless how many other entries there were from other Factions, and regardless of the setting for any of the Starfighters. With the fall of the Empire, non-human sentiments are reappearing in the Core Worlds. Some are disgusted by the migrants, many are profiting, more are sympathetic, few actually help. Contest Specifics: Build a non-human minifigure out of bricks. Must be in minifigure scale. Build a scene showing them traveling to the Core Worlds, arriving somewhere in the Core Worlds, or being visited by New Republic diplomats on their home world. Include a picture of the non-human you are portraying and a link to their Wookieepedia page. If you and Wookieepedia don't know where a species is from, you can use the planet on which they are seen in the canonical or expanded universe material. Please provide enough information for judges and other builders to find pictures or descriptions of the species. The Rules: Must be minifigure-scale. May not be a non-human as produced by LEGO. That means don't throw a molded Ewok head on a torso and call it an Ewok. The idea is to make unique, brick-built minifigures. Minifigure parts can be used (for example, the title pic has droid arms for legs and a helmet for a head), but use them in a unique way, ideally to create a non-human that they were not intended to represent. Droids are okay, as long as it is original (not produced by LEGO). So probe droids and battle droids wouldn't be original, but L3-37 or AZI-3 would be fine. Ideally these are droids with some personality, but if it is a unique representation without relying on LEGO molds, it should be okay. Feel free to check with Faction Leaders. Savan stands in her Coruscant office reflecting on where fate has brought her. In charge of what is arguably the biggest crime syndicate in the galaxy, she is one of the most powerful beings alive. But how did it come to this? There was a time when Black Sun was an almost unknown entity. Certainly not one that drew respect wherever its members went. Back when Jedi and Sith fought across the stars... Back when the 9 Vigos were just beginning to cut their teeth on crime operations. They scattered across the galaxy to make a name for themselves. Savan reflected on that history and realized the old Vigos might have done more than just build a reputation for themselves. Perhaps they also stored treasures at their bases. With rumors of Jedi Holocrons resurfacing, maybe she could find one in the old Vigo's hideouts. But where were those? It was time for her to do more research. Contest Specifics: This will be a "seed part" challenge. You are allowed to enter up to 3 times but only once per seed part. That means you can choose up to 3 different seed parts for up to 3 different entries. Entries for this contest should be set during the Old Republic Era. Jedi and Sith are encouraged to be present but are not required. You must follow the general rules for where you are allowed to build to receive XP/IP for your team. You are allowed to use any planet or location within those guidelines for your entries. If you submit more than 1 entry, they may be on the same planet or different planets. For each seed part you choose, you will also have the opportunity to gain IP on the planet it's associated with. For example, a member of CorSec can build on Corellia for his/her first entry. If they pick Seed Part #1, they can also earn IP for their team on Planet #1. They will still earn the normal XP/IP on Corellia as well. If there is a tie between builds for a particular seed part, control of the seed part will go to the faction with the highest cumulative XP for that seed part (regardless of which factions were initially tied). If there is a tie between factions for control of the most seed parts, the faction with the highest cumulative XP on all of their winning seed part entries will be the Winning Faction (regardless of which factions were initially tied). The faction that earns the highest cumulative XP will be the Winning Faction This episode/contest is open to all players of Factions, even if they joined EB or signed up for the game after the episode has begun, with the exception of the Star Wars staff, who are not eligible to win XP or prizes; the EB admins and moderators, who are not eligible to win prizes but may earn XP; and the episode host, who is not eligible to win prizes but may earn XP. All entries must be new creations, not posted anywhere else prior to the start date of this episode. You can use creations for this contest in other forums or contests, but it should not have been displayed before the start date for this contest. You may be asked by a staff member to change your entry if it is too similar to an earlier creation. All entries must be built from real LEGO or with Lego Digital Designer. Post pictures no larger than 1024x768, as specified in the EB Member Guidelines. You may do a 'full-blown photo edit' with all the text, effects, background compositing, support erasing, and other effects on one picture. All your other pictures may have no editing other than color adjustment or background removal for a solid-color background. For obvious reasons, any photo editing that changes the shape, functionality, or color (not tint or adjustment, but actual color) of a LEGO piece is prohibited,. All entries are considered WIPs (Works In Progress) until the deadline passes. Until the deadline has passed, you are allowed to change and improve your MOC. The Prizes: All the players on the winning faction will receive a PM with the location of the first holocron. You will receive XP equal to the number of points you are awarded from the judges. Your faction will receive IP if your MOC is eligible for them.
