  1. The model has gone through a long design process and has finally ended up looking like what can be seen in the above rendered image. The most current version of the model is available on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-63664/Palajava/ebon-hawk-midi/#details Original post:

    Micro Star Wars (1:250)

Hi all. I haven't added much to my 1:250 fleet of Star Wars fighters, gunships, freighters and one corvette (plus a couple of mini scenes) this year but I have been working on my photography. I've really enjoyed seeing the groups of ships grow and comparing the sizes of the finished products, Slave 1 and the Rogue Shadow turned out surprisingly big, but the biggest surprise was how huge a Blockade Runner is! In case anyone's interested, instructions for all of them are on Rebrickable... https://rebrickable.com/users/ron_mcphatty/mocs/ And here's another with almost all the ships arranged together, which took far, far longer than I thought it would!

    [MOC] Ebon Hawk

"Ah, there she is — the Ebon Hawk. My pride and joy; the fastest ship in the Outer Rim!" - Davik Kang. It's been a long time since I've made a Star Wars MOC - 12 years in fact, and my last effort was a rainbow-warrior Delta 7 built mostly from the old Clone Turbo Tank. I turned my attention to the Ebon Hawk, the Falcon's expy from the Knights of the Old Republic games. There have been some excellent versions of this ship over the years, notably @IRONDUCK's playset version, but I wanted to build something of a system "scale model": Here is the Hawk in comparison to the 7965 Millennium Falcon. The Falcon is officially 25.6-ish metres wide, and the Hawk is a little smaller at 22.5m. The ship's proportions were driven by the 4-wide cockpit: IRONDUCK's MOC and the official LEGO Falcons are all a bit chunky in order to fit an interior, but since I took a "scale model" approach, there is no room inside for minifigures. Structure takes the areas occupied by the bunks and cargo holds, leaving us with the central area and the hyperdrive room, which I captured on the Hawk's internal security camera: I pasted my model over a couple of frames from the end cutscene of KOTOR II: Lastly, whom would you pick to fly the Hawk: Atton, T3-M4, or Carth? Thanks for looking. Please see more renders on Flickr.
  4. A long, long time ago I started working on a micro scale Millennium Falcon. To begin with all I wanted to do was add detail to the Microfighter but I kept tinkering and before I knew it I had a growing collection of micro Star Wars freighters and fighters, and here they are! Instructions for all these little builds are on my Rebrickable page. Since this all started with that Falcon Microfighter the cockpit piece (a light blueish-grey 2x2 truncated cone) became my yardstick for scale. Luckily trans-black 1x1 slope pieces work as fighter cockpits at the same scale so all the ships are, and will continue to be, as close to scale with each other as I can manage, at least based on these pieces and whatever reference images I can gather from Google. My Blockade Runner (April 2021) is the last ship on my micro Star Wars to-do list, although it’s hardly micro! The size and weight were a new challenge for me, I’ve never had to worry about a moc falling apart under its own weight before, but I enjoyed the challenge and managed to make it pretty easy to pick strong. I’ve put together instructions for the Tantive IV as well as the Liberator from Star Wars Rebels, which I couldn’t resist building for myself. Rather than doing new posts for each new ship I’ll edit the very long post below. All the instructions are on my Rebrickable page and there are photos and Studio renders some photos of the ships in this post, plus a few more on Flickr and Instagram. Thanks for looking!

Personnel Files: A few dunes away was the CorSec ship Mick's crew had been given for their mission to save him. The Snarky Gundark was a Galaxy Class freighter first in production during the Old Republic. It's hull design had recently come back into style and CorSec had purchased a few for reconnaissance missions. Hugo had stayed with the ship will the rest of the crew went to save Mick. They didn't want any bands of Jawas disassembling the ship for parts. The ship had many features that made it perfect for a team like Mick's. Separate crew quarters for both men and women, a large mess hall, a mechanic's bay, and plenty of room in the cockpit. It also boasted a central turret and two side turrets in case of combat. There were separate quarters for the captain (Mick in this case) and a fully loaded med-bay. Mick would have to get the full tour later. Right now they needed to get airborne right away. Hurry! Scanners picked up a swarm of TIEs headed our way!

    [MOC] Ebon Hawk

Hello Eurobricks Community, with my first post, I introduce you to my EBON HAWK, a ship that represents for all KOTOR fans, the same emotions as for the Millenium Falcon. A colleague of mine urged me to show you this creation, since I take my inspirations for this ship from the community. I hope it is also an inspiration to. [MOC] Ebon Hawk. minifig scale

So this year i have set a new build in progress. A full minifig, as accurate as possible EBON HAWK. Using the scale of 1:42 (seems to be the most accurate and accepted minifig scale). This will be a fairly big ship, definitely not dwarfed by the USC Millennium Falcon, but will be slightly smaller. Size : Length : 24meters ~ 74 studs long Width : 22.5meters ~ 68 studs wide Height : No Official measurements. Excluding landing gear, calculated, i am looking at approximately 18 studs from lowest point to highest point. Some may recognize the image underneath, and i have just overlayed it with studs. This will be the overall size and dimensions of the build. Another thing that bothers me about mot USC sets, is the lack of power functions. The falcon is huge, detailed and to scale, but where are the power functions? I intend to have the following functions : Raise and lower landing gear raise and lower ramp rotate the central turret Lights possibly rotate the side cannons Thats the start. I intend to create instructions for it to but will see how i go time wise.
