  1. BAD A$$ front engine Drag Brick dragster called “STINGER”! This dragster pulls a wheelie off the line and shoots down the drag strip super fast! Running a 6x5x3 spring powered LEGO motor, it’s hard to tame it at the start gate! Just got done filming it on the drag strip. I’ll be sure to post that video here as soon as it’s ready.
  2. Hi! I wanted to make an El Camino a long time ago, but I don't make "normal cars", so, I think of mixing some Dragster aesthetics with the classic El Camino 72 SS look. So this was the result. It's 8 wide, room for 2 minifigs. I try to make an engine most detailed as possible in a room 4x5 studs. Sorry (not sorry) to the Lego Purists, I paint the covers on the front wheels and the back rims with Silver Chrome and then with Clear red. the rest of the chrome parts are custom parts professionally chromed by Chrome Block City. 7. Drag Brick

    Hello, my name is Shawn

LEGO is one of my favorite things to find at a yard sale, and I have collected quite a large amount. I’ve always wanted to build something. So I ended up building my first wheelie pulling dragster, then another one, then 14 more, and then a 19 foot drag strip, drag boats, bikes etc. What am I doing? I’m not sure, but I have some videos here on brick flicks. I just love the whole process of creating. I’ll be sharing some MOCs here as soon as I figure that part out. Please check out my videos if you get a chance, I’d love to hear your feedback. Thanks much, Shawn.
  8. Finally, I decided to join to the contest - though I am still on the fence, because I need to decide if I want to buy those small tires... but damn, those just fit here like a glove. I am more into small builds recently, this one is no exception. I know, this entry will not win the contest, but maybe will be able to steal some hearts. I just wanted to create a FUN build, which has good playability, and always wanted to play around with my pullback motors. This contest seems like the perfect opportunity due to the wheel and size limitation. Let's see the ingredients: Pullback motor Hot rod Dragster Oversized engine (it is fake, I mean fully) murdered out black, killer look realistic overall proportions (except the engine) Light, as possible Put it in the shaker, and here is the first sketch, I hope You like it. Size is: 27x14x10 studs, fairly small, as some of the real ones. So far 204 pcs, I'll try to keep it max 210 pcs with complete exhaust system. And hopefully it will be able to pull some wheelies, like this!
  9. Four years ago I built dragster out of LEGO Technic set 42036. I also got idea for another alternative model but I haven't got enough motivation to finish it until now. Last Friday I twisted my ankle and got leg in plaster. It was inspiration that I needed to finish this wheelchair. I call it "Ultimate Biker's Vehicle" in accordance with this biker's evolution: If I keep having enough inspiration in upcoming days I will build other vehicles from this evolution. Building instructions are freely available at buildinst.cz

  11. This is what happens when you have a dune buggy but want it to be a salt flat racer or even a dragster. Very fast and very durable, performs astonishing wheelies and looks as scary as a golden-toothed-and-cheap-sunglasses-skull-adorned racer could get. 42046 C-Model, uses 100% of the original set's parts and has those notable features: ► pull-back motor ► very fake V8 and exhausts behind the cockpit ► steering wheel, speedometer and floodlights + rear lights ► reinforced frame and balancing enabling it to perform wheelies (apologies for the photo quality, those were the best results I could get) EDIT: Here's the LDD file if someone's interested. Couldn't assemble the whole thing because of the usual LDD shenanigans, but it's kinda straightforward when you go those three pics. That orange bulky thing is, of course, an equivalent of the pull-back motor not included in LDD - shoutout to marco9999 for the design. http://bricksafe.com/files/Immo/42046_C_Model_Draggy.lxf
  12. Yes, it's an airplane that can drift! (or rather do doughnuts) But first, I think the video is the best introduction: Cool, isn't it? I was actually very surprised how well it worked when I first tested it - especially considering how bad my previous MODs were.. (in fact, it's probably the only RC set MOD that I've done that worked at all!) It was quite a challenge to fit all the electrics in such a small body, and was actually the main reason why I only kept one of the original functions... Features: Steering - powered by PF servo. Drive - geared down 3:5 from fast output of buggy motor. Motorized wings (not RC) - powered by PF M-motor. Easy to remove battery box - if not using rechargeable battery. Other Specs: Weight: 650g (with rechargeable battery) Original functions kept: 1 (out of 3) Theoretical top speed: 14km/h (at least) Links: YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pTW9vclg0c Bricksafe: https://www.bricksafe.com/pages/mocbuild101/9394-rc-dragster-mod Contest voting: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/162664-ams-2-dragify-your-set-voting More photos: Enjoy! 13. Hi! That is my entry for the new contest: a tractor mixed with a dragster with a cartoon style! I amplified the shapes of a real tractor: I put huge rear wheels compared to the frond ones, there are 2 big headlights on the front of the hood... The only fonction of this MOC is that it is powered by a pull back motor. (Also, you can move the spoiler because it is fixed with a pin with friction, but that doesn't upgrade the playability) The anti-roll bar has a real utility. Without, the tractor finishes on its roof. The shock absorber is really useful: without, at the acceleration, the drive wheels "jump", they are not in contact with the floor anymore, so the motor is not used at 100%. So actually, the tractor does wheelies smoothly. That's all!
  14. Hello everyone! I want to share my new project, consisting of two models at once, which was completed at the beginning of November, but due to the fact that the first model took part in the Technic-competition "Car" on the site Bricker.ru, work can be published only now. It all started, as always, with a deep reflection. I wanted to build a car on a small scale, but with a particular theme. Thinking about building a Chevrolet el camino, or about any musclecar without electricians, but once I came across a photo here this monster ... By searching the necessary information for the model came across something similar on the topic of: RC model hearse style monster truck, who suggested the name of the project - GRAVEROBBER RC Here's my idea for the construction of a passenger car passenger supplemented desire to put a body on 4x4 chassis and build something like a crawler. But more on that later So, with the theme of the project it was clear in the LDD were made basic design elements. Given particular attention, do not want the output to get a brick, so set the task to make the body as realistic as possible in terms of forms. For this had to sacrifice functionality - namely, opening hood, trunk, doors, but I think in the models with the electrician, especially on such a scale is unnecessary functions. Better in terms of form, the model from them will not, and the weight will increase significantly. And since I had already planned to put on the car buggy motor weight had to be minimized. The main thing - it's speed! Still build a dragster. And that's what happened in the end. Specifications: On Graverobber installed buggy motor responsible for the movement of the vehicle in space, the servo motor is responsible for steering, power is supplied to small battery box for 6 AAA batteries, well, for remote control infrared receiver responds V2. To give more realism in Graverobber installed LED lights in the front and rear lights. Maybe for someone it may seem overkill, but the style they give more than if they were not. Initially, the stage of construction Graverobber rested on the chassis without suspension. In this arrangement has its advantages, firstly, it is possible to achieve a large inversion of the front wheels, and secondly, for the construction requires fewer parts, which reduces the weight of the model, wherein the realism of this does not suffer much, because small scale model. But to me, after all, wanted to maximize the realism, as much as possible. With the rear suspension is simple - there is a bridge. But with the front tried a bunch of options for independent suspension ... eventually came to the conclusion that to get into the dimensions of the front at this scale is not possible from the front suspension and I refused (by the way not sure if the front suspension in real dragster). Also mounted on the wheel axes of different dimensions. Before - 43.2 mm, rear - 49.5 mm. The basis Graverobber lay a collective image of the american hearses production - Cadillac, Lincoln. Since the front part was made of a polygonal shape with a protruding wedge grille, with bumper follows the shape of the front end. Body itself has kept the proportions of classic hearses - it is long, with a high roof. Exterior - exclusively black, the subject requires. To give some kind of raisins, I printed stickers in the style of "Halloween", which has made itself, and glued them to the body panels on the sides and rear. After that Graverobber ceased to be boring, monochromatic and exacerbated + 10exp to style. Despite the fact that the scale Graverobber small, I still paid attention to the details of the cabin. In this project, all the electrics managed to fit so that it is not conspicuous - good body shape is allowed. So were able to establish in the front, visible part of the cabin all necessary device - and then detailed sports seats with lateral support in the headrests, and the steering wheel and instrument panel with a large tachometer, and even a tank of nitrous oxide. Also located on site PPC headlamp switch (for example, when the batteries are low, you can switch them). The model has all the attributes dragster collected on the basis of the car - and then a huge sticking out from under the hood compressor with air intake and exhaust system of four pipe leading to the sides of the body and set the rear stabilizers (in real dragsters they prevent tipping machine at startup) And now tell you about all-wheel drive modification Graverobber - Meet, Graverobber 4x4! Since the body of the hearse, I decided to put on a 4x4 chassis at the design stage, in parallel, I began searching for a desired gear. I do not think that the chassis must be sure of their own, and to reinvent the wheel did not. Since the foundation laid down Graverobber 4x4 chassis designed Nico71, for which he thanks a lot! The advantages of this chassis'll take small, in comparison, for example, to 41999, the number of electricians, and the presence of CPT, which allows you to use the same XL motor for driving the models and for the winch. In refining the chassis, I removed it from the mechanical engine V6, and Override gear selector in the original it does not provide good contact in the extreme positions of the movable clutch Gearbox. Well, the little things have been replaced by some details. I also changed the prefabricated bridges portals from Nico71 as in sets of 9398, 41999, 42030. On the lower gear portal was set 8L axis of the stopper, is usually used instead of 4L. Because in Graverobber 4x4 I immediately planned to use a non-standard rubber diameter 108 mm, for which it was necessary to install spacers. The truth of this grazing rods rubber wheels in the extreme positions it still did not help, but it looks cool. I have also been redone winch instead of native dual-lowering I found a worm, though speed coiling-unwinding the rope is not increased, but increased traction. Regarding the appearance, the body has not changed completely. All elements dragster Graverobber I saved except bumpers. I have gathered again in the style offroad, in black. On the roof was installed chandelier additional lighting with LEDs - any SUV must have their neutral winch drive
  15. Although I'm not fan of Nexo Knights I was asked to built something else out of bricks from set 70321 - General Magmar's Siege Machine of Doom. Since this set contains 6 wheels I've decided to build something like american truck. It has three axles and long nose with maw full of teeth. There is also disk shooter over its rear axles. I've used just bricks from set 70321 so it can be called alternative model.
  16. Finally, I got myself to build a 42050 C-Model out of the second set I bought purely because I liked the A-Model too much to tear it apart. Had some general ideas, but couldn't decide between a Hot Rod and Dragster, so I built both in one package. It has a hidden function of "adjusting the stance" which is purely for style and, if exaggerated, makes the car, uh, "un-dragable", but some moderate amounts of adjustment make for nice change of style. Features: ► V8 engine with moving pistons ► twin carb adorned with velocity stacks + hood tach ► radiator + cooling system + front lights ► ribbed hose headers and dragster-style Zoomie exhausts ► rigid transmission w/o differential ► steering connected to HOG ► cockpit with a (non-functioning) steering wheel, dashboard and gear shifter ► adjustable "stance" ► wheelie bar (adjusted with stance) ►namesake "Lightning Rods" in the back of cockpit for decorative purposes
  17. Hello All; Similar to this project: is another rat-rod turbine-styled dragster. This time with the rim from 42056 serving as the rotor/fins, as opposed to the 75mm motorcycle rim. Fun project, not meant to be very serious, in fact, nearly could qualify as a submission for our current (TC12) competition But I did want to compare the different pieces in similar builds and how they would preform. Won't rehash all the details here, full write up of details, etc. is here: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/442434 Video: Pics:
  18. Since I recently got LEGO Technic set 42036 and didn't built anything out of Technic for a long time I've decided to rebuild this motorbike into vehicle with four wheels. It was bigger challenge than I expected. I had to use few uncommon asseblies: replace front wheels by gears with chain replace connector in crankshaft by liftarm replace pair of bevel gears by bunch of connectors - this solution was proposed by Victor Imaginator Finished dragster features just V4 fake engine with moving pistons. I planed to add steering but I didn't have enough parts for it.
  19. New MOC! LEGO Technic DRAGSTER! It's pretty fast and powerful. Watch the video for more details. Thank you! More soon!
  20. Lance's Dragster The second alternate build of LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS Lance's Mecha Horse 70312. The VTOL plane can tilt and spin all four engines, features opening cockpit and cargo bay, folds the weapons for mid-air jousting. Flamethrower is riding a combat scooter and Lance's bot is flying the hovershield. The building tutorial can be again found in my Youtube channel.
  21. ZOINKS! Shaggy turns out to be one hell of a hotrodder, turning his Dodge A-100 van into a pro-street pavement-pounder. Inspired by the full-size-engined/half-sized-bodied Zingers, the famous customs of the early 70's showcar-scene. The engine is a 2:1 scale full blown V6 race-engine. It's got dragslicks in the back, a wheelie-bar, and a drag-shute. To really appreciate this car it's best to compare it with the standard boring original cartoon version.
  22. Homer's Highschool Hotrod is a late 60's musclecar with details from many makes and models from that era. I just wanted to create an attractive hotrod. ^ Remember the fenderbender? Well, Homer asked me to help him fix the dents in his left frontwing, and you know, one thing led to another.... ^ variation on taillighttreatment and engine intakes ^ The Man and his car ^ The Wife and her purse ^ Are you saying that this sucker is nuclear??

    Jet Turbine Dragster

Possibly the fastest machine to have come flying out of the doors of Llwyngwril Systems' infamous Vehicle Design Department. Turbine Dragster by David Roberts, on Flickr Turbine Dragster by David Roberts, on Flickr Playing around with "brick bending" techniques seems to have become my theme for this summer.
  24. Hello everyone! This is my newest creation: It is a result of a strange process - I usually know what I want to build before I start building, but with this one it wasn't the case. I was tinkering about limited slip differentials – trying to find some compact solution, one that can fit regular LEGO differential. Then I needed some vehicle to test it… One thing led to another and I had this top fuel dragster on my desk. It is build for speed - has great power (RC 5292 motor) to weight ratio (weighs 450g). It is rather simple creation. The only function, besides motorized driving and steering (servo motor), is manually adjustable rear wing. Dimensions: 48cm long, 12 cm wide, 14.5 – 16 cm high I hope you'll like it! More photos: http://www.flickr.co...157669238024110 Please check the video to see more about its speed - after all, it is the main feature of this model (I filmed it in my building's garage - my apartment is too small for that thing ) and tell me what you think about that limited slip diff. Also, now I'm wondering, do you always know what are you going to build from the start or did you have similar experience like me with this MOC?
  25. Here is my latest creation. I won't post all the details, please visit http://mocpages.com/moc.php/428357 in terms of how it works, details, etc. Briefly, I sought to create a funnycar that would propel itself. Because it would be propelling itself, it would have to be fairly large (enough air for short burst of speed), but at the same time light. limiting the coefficient of drag would also be very important. Thus the ungainly looks of the thing. But..... funnycars aren't built for looks, rather for acceleration... right? Kinda inspired by 42050....but I wanted to create something with an engine sound, fast, and help true to the funnycar name. The drivetrain was incredibly simple but effective. Neutral… and one forward drive gear. This is the gear set-up for most drag racers. This can get complex though, with many sophisticated models allowing a type of clutch that limits slip and only allows a certain amount of torque to be applied at different RPM levels. But for all intents and purposes, for this model, all I wanted was neutral and drive. This certainly tested Lego gears, changeover catch, and drive rings. But incredibly, there was no skipping. This was quite amazing given the amount of torque that was applied to the drive train. This is similar to real drag racers. I remember a documentary I watched a while ago stating that the gears in a real drag racer only last 2-3 races before needing replacement because of the tremendous torque, heat, and stress applied. The goal of the drive train was to have a neutral gear so that the engine (which is from lpepower.com, Thanks Alex! I love this engine!) could first rev up. Although the engine is quite powerful in and of itself, the fact that it was already running at approximately 1500 RPMs before the gears engaged really resulted in the car’s speed. The whole set-up looked like what is below. To explain the picture you have the arrows pointing in opposite directions representing the tendency of the drive ring to want to pop out of place because it was trying to engage a set of gears where moving at different speeds (well, one was moving and the other was stationary) and the rubber bands acting against it. Initially, when the engine was started I had an axle placed in the hole where the left arrow is to hold it in place. Placing the axle here would stretch the bands back and disengage the drive. So I would first start the engine, let it rev to approximately 1500 RPMs, put the axle, the bands would pull the catch, engage the drive ring into the receiving gear and….. we were off! The “fuel” that was used was simply air. The air tank was the only thing in this model that was not 100% Lego. All else was. The setup was something that I had built before, just on a smaller scale (one liter bottle). Details can be found here but here are some photos. The 1 liter bottle I used I obviously blacked with spray paint. Simply cut out the nozzle from a bike tube and used very strong epoxy-type glue to seal it all. Worked great. Thanks for taking a look. Hope you enjoyed!
