  1. Perhaps the new theme park needs a better transport which can maneuver in the city, right? Based on my previous truck design, I did this for moving the raptors. The tractor section has a turret that can be used for any emergency cases like dinosaur escape, and now raptor transport can go through the city without problem! Hope you enjoy this :) thanks!

    Stegosaurus!

Hey everyone! I built this dinosaur for a commission. It's to scale with minifigures and has 19 points of articulation! Any comments and critiques are appreciated. You can click any of the above images, or go to my Flickr to see a few more.

  5. For my first published MOC I did an alternate for one of my favorite Creator 3-in-1 sets to date: the 31102 Fire Dragon. Dinosaurs are a popular choice for animal alternates, but I saw nothing from the velociraptor family yet, so I had to fix that! My primary goal within this project was to create a model that would be a reasonably accurate depiction of an avian dromaeosaurid, with the correct number of claws, that would also be fun to pose and play with. The final result exceeded my expectations in many ways. This thing can hold its balance very well for bipedal model! The adjustable feet claws and bendable knees resting on solid joints can support the body in a variety of complex stances, without falling over the weight of the heavier head. The tail can also bend sideways, meaning additional weight can be shifted if required to hold more precarious positions. The Pterosaur was a little extra made of the leftover bricks. I thought the raptor needed a pal or some form of prey to hunt. I think it also turned out pretty well given the limitations of the remaining parts. The longer tail (which is not necessarily accurate), was needed for the model to be able to hold a flight pose. Let me know what you think in the comments, and send a picture if you build it! 6. I haven't found any review of awesome set 75936 here at eurobricks so let me write one for you. Set's main highlight is the biggest brick-build dinosaur released by The LEGO Group so far. It was the reason why I got this set - I wanted to build this huge dino. It also contains Jurassic Park gate that is not very interesting for me so I'm gonna focus on C. rex. Set Information Set number: 75936 Name: Jurassic Park: C. rex Rampage Year released: 2019 Pieces: 3120 RRP: $249.99 / 249.99€ Box and Packaging Box is huge - its size is comparable with big Creator Expert sets and other big sets targeted to adults like for example Hogwards Castle. Box is also pretty heavy and almost completely full. When you open it you get 30 bags of parts numbered 1 to 15, loose 16x16 tan plate and two instruction manuals packed together with sticker sheet in plastic bag. The first manual is for C. rex and the other for gate so you can build both parts simultaneously with your friend. Sticker sheet contains only 7 stickers so I decided to apply them although I don't do it usually. Building C. rex So let's start building the biggest dinosaur! Bags with number 1 contain parts for lower part of body and neck. Bags with number 2 adds upper part of body and tail. It looks little bit strange but I did all steps from building instructions correctly so I shouldn't bother about it. Level of detail is really high - you can even see place where "waste" leaves C. rex's body. Body is finished with bags numbered 3. You also add second segment of neck in this phase. Bags with numbers 4 and 5 contain parts for right and left leg. I think legs are the best part of whole model. They have organic shape and I especially like texture on ankles and claws. Designer used similar hip joint to one used in Voltron to keep C. rex stable when standing on two legs. Building continues with bags number 6 and they contain WINGS?!? This stopes being funny! I'm checking instructions once more and they really mean "wings". Now it doesn't resemble dinosaur at all... And finally last bags (with number 7) for C. rex contain parts for its head. I built it and understood all including letter "C" in name of dinosaur - I've got life-size Chicken! Or exactly Chicken rex... It looks like designers from TLG have good sense of humor... You can see it at next picture with medium size egg. Building gate It took me more than week to force myself to build it after I finished C. rex. So making long story short it took me 4 hours to build Jurassic Park gate. It features opening door and 6 small vignettes at rear side. They are full of nice details but I would prefer just C. rex and no gate at all (with corresponding discount from set prise). You can see both sides of gate at following pictures. Last set of bags with number 15 also contain stand for minifigures. Complete model When you put C. rex, gate and stand with minifigures together you get huge display piece. Especially gate is as large as I don't have enough space to display it anywhere at my home so I took it apart right after I finished taking its pictures. What is more interesting is amont of leftover parts. It looks like it is possible to build something else from this set too... I think I found their purpose - you can build your own dinosaur from them, at least little one. Here is one action shot: And detail of minifigures on stand - it looks like C. rex likes Ellie... Conclusion This set is definitely great piece of LEGO art and I like C. rex so much. It is also the biggest creature I built out of LEGO bricks so far. It is well designed and joints have enough friction to keep it in various poses though in some possitions they are reaching their limits. Gate is nice addition but if I could choose I would take just C. rex without it. I hope you found this short review informative and entertaining. Let me know in comments what you think about it. This review is expression of my own opinioins. And yes, it is late April fools joke. Set 75936 doesn't contain building instructions for Chicken rex but for Tyrannosaur. You can get building instructions for C. rex at rebrickable.com If you wanna read more serious review of set 75936 I recommend you these: https://brickset.com/article/44264/review-75936-jurassic-park-t-rex-rampage https://www.brothers-brick.com/2019/06/17/lego-75936-jurassic-park-t-rex-rampage-the-biggest-lego-dino-ever-review-interview/

    [MOC] Carnotaurus

Hi, I've recently completed my latest MOC, a carnotaurus : It measures about 40cm / 16in long, 18 cm / 7 in tall, and is made of about 680 parts. The baseplate has a diameter of 18cm / 7in, and is made of about 350 parts. I've built a first dinosaur - an ankylosaurus - about a year and half ago, and started working on the carnotaurus at that time. I ultimately turned it into a spinovenator for LEGO IDEAS' hybrid dinosaur contest, and decided to build it it with physical parts after that. You can see more photos of it on flickr.

    Abomirex the Mechanical Terror

So, here's a MOC that's actually a few years old that I'd neglected to post because I wasn't super satisfied with the photos nor the build itself, but after stumbling across it again browsing through folders I think it has at least some merit, so I now present to you... The Abomirex (or A-rex if you prefer)! A mechanical monster created by one of the most diabolical minds in all the known world as a weapon of terror and conquest. Sporting massive razor-sharp claws, built-in weaponry, and tremendous mechanical strength, only the most skilled and nimble of heroes can hope to stop it. Initially conceptualized as far more overtly birdlike, with wings utilizing the clear orange sail pieces from that one Ninjago set, but I couldn't come up with a decent enough design and thus went in a more saurian direction because dinosaurs are neat. It can't see through walls, however, which could provide our hero with the upper hand. (also sort of inspired by the movie "9" and by extension the short film it was based on) Snout splits open to reveal a flamethrower. Hope your shield spell is up to snuff, or you'll be snuffed out. Get it? Fire jokes. One of its least immediately obvious weapons is its bladed claw tail, catching its opponents by surprise! But if caught, perhaps a lucky swing could bring our hero close enough to a weak point... The conspicuous power source on its back totally wasn't that weak point, why do you ask? At ease, or perhaps scanning the horizon. In profile. Torso construction detail. Full disclosure, I don't remember it being particularly sturdy, and in addition to looking somewhat jumbled overall, it's part of why I'd neglected to share it earlier. But the aesthetic still sort of works for a steampunk/dieselpunk/frankenstein mad sciencey sort of look. (also tangent time: I hate steampunk and think it's super overplayed, or at least the variation of it that everyone falls back on. what part of "british aristocracy in fancy dress with gears glued to it" is "punk", exactly?) Obligatory gag scene. Full gallery here!

  10. Yes! this my 3rd rendition of LEGO Snapdragon since the very first one made I about 15 years ago (when I first rekindled my passion with LEGO as an adult) VERSION 1 (2004) Back then most of the parts I used came from LEGO sets so I just make do with whatever colors I had. More photos here: Snap Dragon: A LEGO® creation by Yap Alan : MOCpages.com VERSION 2 (2012) Leaps and bound improvement over v1. I was pretty satisfied with the outcome then. I even cloned 2 extra copies of this creation to be displayed in a LEGO exhibition in 2015 .. so visitors can see all 3 modes More photos here: Fall of Cybertron Snapdragon Triple Changer: A LEGO® creation by Yap Alan : MOCpages.com On retrospect, I found version 2 to be pretty dated now with a few design glitch > like protruding robot head on the jet undercarriage > weak jet nosecone design that tend to detach easily > shoulders too wide (think "ROTF Leader Class Optimus Prime") > robot back kibble jutting out at a weird angle. VERSION 3 (2019) What meant to be a quick 1 week project , dragged on to about 2 weeks: My overzealousness got the better of me. Part of the long list of to-fix's: > Every nooks and corners were rebuilt to strengthen weak hinges > Rounder/more cylindrical arms. > Nosecone-kibble tucked in more neatly to the robot's back. > beast head too funny-looking. off with the buck teeth! > narrower shoulders. ..and of coz... a color scheme closer to his G1 toy version. more photos here: Alanyuppie's LEGO Transformers: LEGO Triple Changer Snapdragon version 3 Alan Yap (@alanyuppie78) • Instagram photos and videos Alanyuppie's Brick Adventures Alan Yap's LEGO Transformers

    [MOC ] Jurassic Park Series

Hey and welcome to Jurassic Park! Over the last weeks I built 18 scenes to honor the classic movie from '93. By a lucky coincidence I was first reading the book in spring, before I got the opportunity to write a review of the new T.rex rampage set for New E. Of course I had to re-watch the movie to do so properly and immediately got inspired to build the different scenes myself: The movie begins at the dig site where Ellie Sattler and Alan Grant find a velociraptor. They get interrupted by Mr. Hammond who invites the two to visit his island. "We spared this!" - "For today" Meanwhile Dennis Nedry has a suspicious meeting: "Dodgson, we've got Dodgson here! See nobody cares." The two paleontologists arrive at Isla Nublar and discover what Hammond is up to: He is breeding dinosaurs. Hammond and Nedry have a conflict: "Dennis, our lives are in your hands, and you have butterfingers?" Together with the layer Gennaro and Hammond's grandkids Tim and Lexi they start tour through Jurassic Park. Besides a sick Triceratops they are not lucky with seeing any dinosaurs. To find the reason for the Triceratops sickness Ellie doesn't eschew any unusual actions. "Dino... droppings?" Nedry has shut down the security system to steal the dinosaur embryos. While on the way back the power is gone, the cars stop right in front of the paddock and the T. rex brakes out. When you gotta go, you gotta go... On the way to the docks Nedry takes a wrong turn, crashes the jeep and learns the hard way that Dilophosaurus spit. The T. rex has pushed the Ford Explorer with Timi inside down in the moat, where it lands in a tree. Ian Malcolm gets saved, but peculiar ripples in the puddle and a recurring booming noises predict the Tyrannosaur is coming back. "Must go faster!" Shells of velociraptor eggs proof that the dinosaurs are breeding eventhough all dinosaurs are told to be female: "Life found a way!" Ellie gets to the maintenance and switches the power back on, but gets surprised by a raptor. After their adventures tour Tim and Lexi want to get something to eat, but get interrupted by two velociraptors and flee in the kitchen. In an action packed last scene Alan and the group try too flee from the Raptors and climb down in the foyer of the visitor center. Before the Raptors can attack them the T-rex appears in last second and saves the day. A click on the pictures brings you to flickr or you can check out the full album here. Most of the used techniques were also explained in my Storys on Instagram. (Unfortunately only available with account.) I hope you like the series. I did and was quite surprised how many different locations the movie offered. I had expected to build much for forest and foliage. If you want to build your own Ford Explorer or Jurassic Park Jeep you can find the instructions here. Best, Jonas
  12. Hello everyone, As promised in the official Jurassic World thread, I'm sharing the LDD models I made of some of the JW vehicles. Like many of you, I was a little disappointed by the vehicle builds in this theme and wanted to make my own more movie-accurate versions of some of them. Most are heavily inspired by offical LEGO builds (mostly from the City line). Note that the stickers are obviously missing from the vehicles so I'm afraid you'll have to use your imagination for that part. The first vehicle is loosely inspired by the Textron Tiger armoured truck which appears towards the end of the movie. It is based on the offrad pickup truck from the 1st Avengers movie (set 6867). I turned it into a two-seater and added the rear section. JW Textron Tiger 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr JW Textron Tiger 3 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr Up next is the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van used by the ACU to track the I-rex. This one is based on an ambulance from the City theme (set 4431). JW Sprinter 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr There's enough room for about 4-5 figures in the back but it's a tight fit... JW Sprinter 4 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr The next vehicle is the ACU 6x6 G36 from the same scene. This one is an original design but I'm still not 100% please with how it turned out. Hopefully you'll still like it and maybe some more talented builders will improve it. JW 6x6 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr JW 6x6 3 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr Here's how it looks next to the Sprinter van. JW by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr Next is the G-class SUV, which is pretty much JW's version of the Jeep Wrangler. I made two versions of this one, the first of which is pretty much a recoloured police SUV from set 4440. JW Mercedes 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr I then made a second version of the car, which is a two-seater with working doors. JW Mercedes 2 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr And finally, we have the Unimog. I used City set #60083 (which is a much better representation of a Unimog than the JW one) as a base for this one and tried to improve the official LEGO design from the JW theme. JW Unimog 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr JW Unimog 2 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr The rear section was made shorter and I completely modified the interior but you can still fit standing minifigs in there without problems. JW Unimog 3 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr Here's an example of the vehicle with a different rear section (this one is inspired by set 4205). JW Unimog 4 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr JW2 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr If you guys like them, here's the LDD file containing all the vehicles: Jurassic World Vehicles.lxf Thank you for stopping by. ;)

    [MOC] Triceratops Leo

I'm not much of a creature builder but I really wanted to try my hand at a dino for the Jurassic World Ideas contest. Triceratops being my favorite type of dinosaur, it just remained to find a good hybrid creature... and what better than a lion? This triceratops features a rotating neck and head (two separate segments) and articulated hip, knee, and ankle joints for significant poseability! I have a pretty small dark yellow collection but with a bit of work I made it last and even managed to incorporate that large Nexo Knights body armor piece! There's something pretty cat-like about the back view, I think it's the short bristling spikes. And that's all folks! C&C welcome and thanks for stopping by!
  16. Third one, folks. This set is quite easy to get as the hype is not as much as the last 2018 bricktober. However, the minifigures are quite lovely. 5004938 - NINJAGO Minifigures 5004939 - TLBM Minifigures 5004941 - Classic Minifigures 5005257 - NINJAGO Minifigures (2018) 5005254 - Harry Potter Minifigures (2018) Overview Name: 5005255 - Jurassic World Minifigures Theme: Promotional \ Toys R Us (Bricktober) Year: 2018 Pieces: 18 pcs Minifigures: 3 with a small dinosaur Price: free with purchase of RM199 in Malaysia. Introduction The minifigures here are considered exclusive as Dr. Ian Malcolm did not appear in any other sets. Claire and Owen did come out in other sets but the designs of their outfit here is totally new prints and check out the whistling expression for Owen! Let's go into them. Box The mould of the plastic that hold them in place is quite different at the raptor compartment. They even put a round indentation there to make them easy to retrieve. The orange coloured box makes it feels like lava is flowing around them like in the movie. Standard back of the box with words.. I love this grey stoney part of the box here. It resembles the metal cage they used in the movie to keep those dinosaurs captive. Come out, stretch a bit! Minifigures Dr. Ian Malcolm is a mathematician who is one of the main characters of the Jurassic Park franchise since the beginning of the movie long ago. He is portrayed by Jeff Goldblum in the movie and appeared in the movie as a commentator only. Here we see he is wearing a black outfit showing some of his chest hair. Unlike other bricktober minifigures, he lacks leg prints and side arm prints. He is holding a torch and the hair is the same as Bruce Banner. Jeff Goldblum. Claire Dearing was the park operations manager of Jurassic World, prior to the abandonment of the park in 2015 upon the escape of the Indominus rex. She looks pretty here with a great smile and eyelashes. The light grey outfit is also very nice on her where the printings are extended to the legs. She came with a sad facial expression maybe after looking at the beloved dinosaurs died at the volcano site. Overall this is a nice minifigure with a smartphone. Phewwwiiittt... Owen Grady was a dinosaur researcher employed by Jurassic World, who conducted a behavioral research on Velociraptors. Here he looks messy in his brown vest and a weird smile. The special thing about this minifigure is the whistling facial expression he used on Gamora/dinosaurs. LOL. The expression is quite cool and brings life to this minifigure. He comes with a back pack and a belt printing along with arm detailing at his left arm. Will you marry me? Baby raptor. This is not exclusive to this set as it appeared in 3 other sets. It is a one studed baby dinosaur which is smaller than a minifigure. The blue stripe prints are very nice and the mould is amazing for such a small creature! It looks very much alive instead of a dead piece of plastic. Blue: Can I eat that? Trust me, not as a human, but as your father. Conclusion Despite the lack of hype, I feel that this set is quite adorable after I had my hands on them. Claire is lovely and Owen is cute with his whistling face. It will be worth to have as the price won't be as high in the secondary market. A very good collection of minifigure set! Review summary Playability: N/A - I've decided to skip this part. Design: 8/10 - Not bad as the torso and face prints are not ordinary prints. Minifigures: 8/10 - Not sure about the selection but having the main characters in this set is quite subtle as others are not as popular. Price / Value for money: 8/10 - You can get it at lower price than other bricktobers I think. Overall: 8/10 - Overall I would say I'm not disappointed. What say you? I hope you enjoy reading my simple review and do express your comments below. 'The end is near.' Stay tuned.
  17. Been having fun with my Nexo Knights, some knock-off Dinosaurs and Legend Beasts, some real Lego Legend Beasts and a random Mixel. I thought it'd be fun for each knight to have an animal steed instead of vehicles. What kind of things would you like to see in Nexo Knights? Anybody else found any cool knock offs online that you wish were part of the franchise?
  18. Recently i posted a little MOC of with a Raptor used as a riding animal for a Scout in a postapocalyptic world. Today i want to show you the rest of the family, which even includes a huge Tyrannosaurus Rex as the family´s main mode of transportation to explore the world. The large dinosaur carries the whole family and their supplies they need during their travel. While the scout is escorting next to the T-Rex on his Raptor, his Wife is on the rear lookout on the large dinosaur. Meanwhile his son if goofing off with grandpa on the back of the T-Rex and the triggerhappy brother of his wife sits on the left flank on the lookout chair to look for food and trouble. In case you didn´t know, getting a T-Rex to do and walk where you want needs a patient and very experienced animal trainer and rider. This role is fullfilled by the old and wise grandpa, who raised the T-Rex from an abandoned Egg. This large animal was fitted with a platform that provides room to sit on and the sides act as storage of supplies and additionaly as armor.I mean,in these parts of the world, you never know what you are up against. 19. In a post apocalyptic world where machinery is rare and mostly doesn´t work, nomadic people rely on domesticated dinosaurs to travel and get from one place to another. This guy is part of one nomadic family and with his fast Velociraptor,he´s there to scout the nearby area for anyimminent danger. Since he´s not alone,he only has some sparce luggage packed in the saddle. His well trained raptor is carrying a body armor made out of wood and metal, enough to protect it from minor attacks by local tribes and still light enough so the raptor can travel at great speeds. Jurassic Park

Hello, Today I made a little stop motion scene form the movie Jurassic Park. See you later!
  22. Hey guys! I recently build a Technic model of the famous Indominus Rex for my 7-year old son, I wanted you all to see it and let me know what you think. The requirements were that it's pose able, playable, able to grab a minifig in it's hands, swallow a minifigure whole, and also have a stomach, where quite a lot of minifigs should fit. And most importantly, the Indominus should be able to poop them out, one by one And finally, the tail should be able to hit like a whip, sideways. Enough talk, I hope the photos will be enough to please you, I have no video of it, as it's a manual model. As usual, you can see all of the photos on my Flickr album: https://www.flickr.com/photos/braker23/sets/72157692435291251/ Enjoy and have a great day!
