I was very excited to see Lego's new 'modular' Diagon Alley set and in particular the new Owl Post building. I wanted to integrate this model into the existing 75978 Diagon Alley, but it is a very tiny rendition of the building; see below! Here's my improved version... I wanted to try and stick to the spirit and design of the original build as closely as possible.

A list (with links) of all the Harry Potter lego content that's been active on eurobricks within the last two years. Premise: there's a lot of Harry Potter content strewn about the "licensed themes" forum, but too much of it goes unseen by too many who'd probably be interested in the material. Far from everyone uses tags on their posts, those tags aren't normed, and many of the titles of the posts don't necessarily lead to them being found in your typical forum search for HP material. Further premises: we'd have even more material here if there were more "reward" (positive feedback) for posting here; too often those posts languish, largely uncommented, and there's no system for otherwise liking or upvoting the contribution, which in combination can be demoralising. We'd also have happier users if they had an easier time finding the content they like. It sounds almost like a match made in heaven... What I'm trying to do about that... Well, in the absence of subforums, I'm attempting to create a somewhat sorted and curated list of the HP content. I've worked my way through over an eighth of the forum scouring for HP material, indexing whatever was last commented on within the past two years, and I think I got most of what was there. (If I missed something, please let me know. If this is an acceptable format (fingers crossed it's allowed as it was a *lot* of work... lol), I'll eventually work my way through the rest and then start tidying this entry. (The quality of the curation will improve as I add more content to link to.) Ideally I'll also add a listing of the MOCs from the MOC Megapost, otherwise folks like our @Micmac and a few others will go seriously underrepresented, which won't do at all. This building is inspired by 2011 Harry Potter set 10217 (Diagon Alley), specifically the Borgin and Burkes shop that is technically not on Diagon Alley in the HP universe. (it is instead of a neighboring street where evil wizards / witches dwell) Here is the front of the building. The number "1887" goes on the four studs above the middle second floor windows using printed number tiles. That year was the year the building was built, by the way. The new rear half of the building features a back door and a couple windows. This model will serve as my fictional railroad's headquarters on my town, and as such has a miniature model railroad inside. (just for the heck of it) The building also features a tower, two story fireplace, and staircase to the upper floor. The lack of other interior furnishings is intentional, as I haven't been able to think of a single piece of early to mid 1900's furniture for the offices of the railway president and the accompanying secretary. The building has hinges to allow for it to open up to 90 degrees, but no further due to the wall ornaments being in the way. As usual, the building is locked together by a friction-less Technic pin to allow for easy opening and shutting. The original building from set 10217 has 14 dark green windows I need for a updated train (seen here: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=138020 ), so this building will be built sooner rather than later, probably next month, if possible. (I really don't know, as I'm juggling about five possible next-builds at the moment. All will be built eventually, but whatever's next I don't know for sure!) UPDATE 8/19/16: The buildings was an odd number of studs long, which was causing problems. I have since fixed that, and as such the LDD file and pictures have been updated.
