    Dandelumian crest

This is a build for the summer joust silhouette-category. (I used the opportunity to also add it to my GoH-story). Thought I would use it as an excuse to make my first post here in the historic themes-forum as well! In the great hall of duke Wifgrir the feudal city crest hangs on the eastern wall. A historic memento of the past but also a potential foreshadowing of future actions. The sword ‘The red dawn’ is depicted twined in the herb with the identical name. An homage to the first settlers finding the herb and therefore settling in the area. The sword portrayed in the city crest belonged to the legendary heroine Dand El Alume. Her name was gifted to the city. Dand El Alume’s tale dates back to ancient times and is a living part of folklore in Avalonia in general, but in Dandelume in particular. Dand lived during one of the centuries of the first druids and mighty wizards. A time long before Avalonia formed as a realm under the first king Artorious Rex. In a turbulent era of mystic and great dangers. Her many heroic acts are written down in the chronicles ’Bringer of the red dawn’ but are also recited in poems and traditional storytelling. In the ‘horn-squadron’, the knights are taught the chronicles of Dand by feudal scholars. They all aspire to one day be able to become the new ‘bringer of red dawn’…..

    [MOC] Midi-Scale Razor Crest

"I like your ship. She's a classic. Razor Crest, am I right?" My Midi-Scale collection keeps expanding with more than a classic piece of spaceship, the legendary Razor Crest from The Mandalorian. Made of 1,230 pieces, 30cm long, this baby ST-70 Gunship has a total of... zero stud across its entire surface, making it a true 100% SNOT build. At such a size, replicating all the complex angles and features of the original model required advanced SNOT techniques. I really wanted to push the limits of what could be done at such a small scale. Capturing the tapered body also required making a very compact 2 stud wide structure that could still hold everything together securely. The ship has two display modes, "in-flight" with its canted stand, and "landed" with easy-to-install landing gear. Hope you like it! ► Instructions for the Razor Crest are available at BrickVault. More pictures on my Flickr page.
  3. Over a month of design and here it is: The Razor Crest from The Mandalorian Series! Currently I have finished the virtual version, I checked many connections on real bricks. Building this vehicle was one of the most difficult things I did. Mapping the shape required many non-standard connections and inventing more and more strange solutions. Razor currently contains 2040 parts, including a display stand and landing gears. I also built an interior, many things open up. This is not the final version yet, some details, such as the painting may change. The full announcement will be available in a few days on my YouTube - Edge of Bricks! What do you think about this project? :)
  4. Does anyone recognize which set or source this shield is from? As far as I know it is a Lego store exclusive which is kinda strange to me. (This is not a sticker by the way) Either way I was really excited to see a new shield design from Lego and with such detail.
  5. Avalonia Task 1 - Laelarielian Army & Crest The Laelarielian army (or, rather, what's left of it) counts no less than one swordsman and two spearmen! The (self-proclaimed) shield-maiden Lola has lately joined the group, her fighting skills being better than the others', despite her young age. We see them here at the ruins of their former training site, which they still visit regularly. They briefly pay homage each time, quickly getting rid of some weeds and yet always making sure that the full Laelarielian banner is still standing and in good condition – they still proudly display the crest and colours of their city, together with those of their Guild. Hello everyone ^^ Those of you who follow the story will know that Laesonar has only just met Lola.. so I guess you can take it as a small flashforward One question: @Henjin_Quilones's post detailing Avalonian tasks is from 1st August. As I'm just back, I've been looking for posts by fellow Avalonians who completed the task, but couldn't find any - am I the 1st one completing it or has anyone else already? If so, could I please get linked to that/those post/s? Also, not sure if such vignettes can count as freebuild for the Guild? Hope you guys like it, C&C most welcome ^^
