  1. Corellian Security Faction: CorSec (CS) Faction Leader: MKJoshA Faction 2nd in Command: Stuartn Capital Planet: Corellia - M11 Following the defeat of the Empire at Jakku the New Republic was founded. As Chancellor of the New Republic, Mon Mothma ordered the disarmament of the New Republic Defense Fleet. Her desire was for peace throughout the galaxy and sought to rule through political and economic means rather than through military might as the Empire had done. Under Mon Mothma's direction the New Republic offered the galaxy peace and security for all who joined. But without a large military fleet, that meant the New Republic Intelligence agency was called on to shoulder a very large burden. To handle all the possible threats, the NRI partnered with Corellian Security. CorSec was known for maintaining a large intelligence network reaching all across the galaxy, handling threats to Corellians wherever they found themselves, and having a wide range of skills the NRI knew would be helpful as they sought to keep the peace. Now CorSec uses it's galaxy wide reach to protect not just Corellians but all members of the New Republic. Uniforms Most operations for CorSec require being in plainclothes or under-cover. When the situation does arise, CorSec uniforms look like this: Though any Rebel/New Republic uniforms work as well. Such as these: Or these: Organization Departments Joining To join CorSec simply reach out to MKJoshA or Stuartn via PM. They will help you join CorSec. All new recruits will begin with the rank of New Agent Trainee. As you build for the Faction you can rise in the ranks and even become a Director of your own branch within CorSec. Map

  7. Faction: CorSec Faction Leader: MKJoshA Capital: Coronet City, Corellia Planets: Corellia, Trellen, Ojom, Thyferra, Yag'Dhul, Qiilura, Bothawui Systems: M11, L14, L7, R14 History: A lot has changed on Correllia since the day Lady Proxima’s gang ruled the streets. As the Empire grew, law and order were established in Coronet City. Working hand-in-hand with the Empire’s security forces, the Correllian Security Force (or CorSec as it was more commonly referred to) was established. After the fall of the Emperor and with the rise of the New Republic, Correllia began working cooperatively with New Republic Intelligence. CorSec, already having a reputation for producing highly skilled operatives and always getting the job done, was called on by the New Republic to help establish peace across the galaxy. While primarily a security force, CorSec has grown to include other departments. They have their own in-house mechanics. As well as their own in-house medical team. As their influence across the galaxy grows, so does CorSec's departmental needs. After the Battle of Endor, Mick (or MKJoshA as he was known then) left the Rebellion to return to his home world of Corellia where he joined CorSec. His previous work with the Alliance Intelligence division made him more than qualified for the job. He kept tabs on all his friends from the Rebellion and even recruited some to come work with him in CorSec. But he was glad to be back home and working for a legitimate government. He wasn’t ashamed of what he’d done with the Rebellion, but he slept better at night now. Everyone in the Force knew his background, so when his commanding officer Corran Horn called him to meet with a representative of the New Republic Mick wasn’t surprised. Corran said, "Mick, I want you to meet Alexsandr Kallus, New Republic representative." Kallus said, "Good to meet you Mick, Commander Horn tells me your the man for the job." Mick replied, "Thank you sir, I'll do my best. What job do you need done?" Kallus answered, "We've got our hands full in the New Republic right now. I've got a batch of new recruits who need training in the kind of skills CorSec is famous for. Naturally we'll work with CorSec if you find a being you'd rather keep in your ranks. Can I count on you?" The next day Kallus brought in the first batch of new recruits. "Listen up!" Kallus shouted. "You're here to follow instructions, not mouth off. So give your undivided attention to Mick." "Alright, so here's what the training process will look like..." began Mick. It was going to be hard but worthwhile work getting these recruits up to speed. And this was just the first batch! Maybe you'll be part of the next batch? "Join CorSec!" You can sign up here in this thread.

  13. *Your entry has earned 16 XP* "Utini!" Sot heard the call of his younger brother over the loud clanking of the sandtreader's tracks pounding the desert floor. He switched to a lower gear and decreased speed so he could see what the fuss was that Gul was making. Sot had tried to ignore any reason to stop driving, but Gul was adamant. Gul often said he saw things in the sand that usually turned out to be a pile of rocks. Perhaps that's why the clan let them go out alone with the sandtreader, Sot pondered to himself. Stopping the family sandcrawler wasn't easy and doing so twenty times a day just for rocks was enough to push the patience of the elders. So when Sot looked where Gul was pointing and saw a speeder hull lying on the ground, he had to get a closer look. After all, mirages were common when one was bored. But now Sot wasn't bored. The speeder was trashed, that was clear. Sands blown across the Jundland Wastes had filled the intakes, clogging filters used to carry air to the engine. No matter. There were a hundred filters back at the family sandcrawler Sot could replace them with. A find like this was a good find. The family would decide whether the speeder would be repaired (just enough to function, of course) and inevitably sold, or broken down for tradeable parts. Jawas were social creatures within their clans; anything that encouraged cooperation was seen as a blessing. Sot motioned for Gul to activate their droids to comb the sand. The droids would use their photoreceptors to pick up other pieces of metal scrap as Sot and Gul loaded the speeder onto the trailer. Yes, this was a good find. And although Sot didn't like spending the entire day trawling the empty desert with his brother Gul, he did feel less annoyed. Later, as he fired up the sandtreader, he motioned for Gul to climb aboard into the cockpit. The wrecked speeder was Gul's find: the least he could do to show his appreciation was for Gul to not have to ride in the dusty trailer. And after all, they were brothers. Build Notes: The Jawa sandtreader is a halftrack featuring rear tank treads and forward sand-paddle wheels. The engine pieces behind the driver can be easily removed for quick repair access. The crane can be turned using the grey knob on the back of the vehicle. It can also be moved up and down. The trailer hosts a winch and pullable chain, which can wind up by rotating the dark brown lever.
  14. *Your entry has earned 8 XP* First off, apologies for the lack of quality images. I had hardly any time to take photos and didn't think that part through enough. I hope next episode's Cat B will be better. That being said, let's get into this: Ambushing Pyerce's Supply Lines Following the briefing with his teams, Captain Bociephus Laeten of the New Republic dispatched scouts to determine exactly what the Imps on Tarsunt had to protect the small supply depot. Returning unseen, the scouts reported that Ambassador Giles' intelligence was correct. Moff Pyerce had troops on the ground collaborating with the local Imperial warlord, who himself was at the supply site inspecting operations. Laeten knew that here was a chance to strike at Moff Pyerce and his allies, as well as giving the CorSec observers the needed opportunity to see Laeten's soldiers in action. He suited up and departed the Radiant IX with his forces in a New Republic Patron-class support fighter. They used the fighter's stealth capabilities to land nearby without any sign of being spotted. With news that the warlord had departed only moments ago, Laeten gave the order to begin the assault. The key to taking the supply site was to control the landing area. By doing so, communications could be cut and prevent Moff Pyerce from knowing his logistics base on Tarsunt was under attack. Laeten ordered his soldiers to attack the heavy gun emplacements on the north side of the supply site, providing a distraction while jetpack-equipped troops knocked out the anti-aircraft gun on top of the bunker to the south. Snipers harassed the stormtroopers that were embedded in the gun emplacements, and quick work was made of the task to destroy the bunker's AA gun. As soon as the AA gun was taken out, the Patron-class support fighter began strafing runs, preventing counter attacks and utilizing its offensive sensor suite to jam local comm transmissions. As this was happening, New Republic slicers rushed the landing area main entrance and shut off the laser gate, allowing more of Laeten's troops to blast into the landing area and assault the stormtrooper guards head-on. The attack shifted, as Imperial support crew closed the corridor hatch leading to the bunker with a squad of death troopers outside to defend it. Explosives placed at the base of the gun emplacements blew open holes in the supply site's walls, giving New Republic forces three angles of fire to direct at the death troopers. Though the death troopers were all killed, many of the remaining Imperials decided surrender was a better fate. Laeten knew the battle was over, and he was pleased with how it had turned out. Stealth, speed and surprise had taken the Imperial forces completely off guard, not unlike the battles from the early days of the Rebellion. What forces remained were now prisoners of the New Republic, along with all of their supplies and weapons. What they did not find, however, was the alleged holocron. It appeared that if it had indeed been at the supply site, it must have been removed when the Imperial warlord departed just prior to the attack. But now, with Moff Pyerce's influence on Tarsunt blunted by the captured supply site, Laeten knew he could report to Ambassador Giles, and in turn to New Republic High Command, that his responsibility to impress the CorSec observes was definitely achieved. After hailing a New Republic prisoner transport, Laeten headed back to Corellia to move on to the next phase of his recruitment mission.
  15. *Your entry has earned 2 XP* Story: Captain Bociephus Laeten had used his initial time within the New Republic compound on Corellia to contact soldiers he had served with in the Galactic Civil War. Some were still active as peacekeepers on former Imperial worlds. Others had accepted an early retirement. Not everyone had the desire to keep on soldiering when it was no longer required. However, most of those he reached out to were receptive. Several dozen New Republic veterans would rendezvous with him, Ambassador Giles and several CorSec administrators aboard the blockade runner Radiant XI in orbit above the planet Tarsunt. Now, he was preparing to brief his new team on their assignment: disrupt Imperial Remnant logistics by destroying a supply site on the surface below. As team members gathered aboard the ship, Laeten headed towards the briefing room. But as he was about to enter, Giles stopped him. "Before you begin, there's something else you need to know about the mission," said Giles in a low voice. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a data disk similar to the one he had given Laeten on Corellia. "This," he said, "is the manifest to the supply site. You'll see that there's one item that has no description." "What's so special about it?" asked Laeten, his eyes scanning the list. "I received a message from New Republic Intelligence on our way to Tarsunt," said Giles. "Forces belonging to Moff Pyerce have been spotted. It is believed they're transporting a holocron, using backlane shipping channels like Tarsunt to move it discreetly. The item without a description could be that holocron." Laeten glanced up at Giles, a look of concern on his face. "This will complicate things." "Indeed." "Is there any idea of what's down there besides a few stormtrooper patrols?" Giles put the data disk back into his pocket. "We only know that the holocron is likely still at the supply site," he said. "That guarantees that Moff Pyerce's troops are there, but unaware that an attack is imminent." "Is there anything else I need to know?" said Laeten. Giles shrugged. "If there was, I would share it," replied Giles. "Go and brief your team. But make this attack seem like a random event. We can't allow Moff Pyerce to know we're onto him, and we need this to be a success in front of the CorSec officials. They need to see firsthand what we can do to prevent Imperial incursions on Corellia." Laeten gave a salute before turning towards the briefing room entrance. "Yes, sir."
  16. *Your entry has earned 8 XP* I'm not sure how to post images in here yet, hope this works: Story: Captain Bociephus Laeten touched down with his A-wing in the empty hangar. Unlike most places he had served in the Rebellion, this site was virtually free from dust and grime that was typical of crowded, rag-tag landing areas. Though not a fighter pilot by profession, Laeten knew how to operate the A-wing, which he had custom outfitted for his missions. Not this mission, however. This mission was different than anything he had done previously: recruiting. "Captain!" shouted a voice above the A-wing's whining engines as it powered down. The cockpit canopy rose as Laeten stood and looked at the figure standing on a balcony behind him. "Greetings from Chandrila, Ambassador Giles," replied Laeten, giving a wave to the Vurk alien who represented the New Republic on Corellia. Giles has served as a requisition officer with the New Republic Navy until the war had ended at Jakku. He was then reassigned as the chief diplomat to Corellia, an important task for ensuring the planet's shipyards and arms factories stayed out of Imperial hands. Laeten got off his ship and met Giles at the bottom of the balcony's stairs, shaking his hand. "It's good to be here sir. Thank you for the invitation." Giles flashed a grin that thanks to his nosehorn was only visible if you were looking at him from the side. "When I was told that the best field soldier in the New Republic wanted another assignment besides guarding politicians, I made sure to make room for you on our mission here on Corellia," he said. "I've trained soldiers to fight after they've already decided to join. I've never helped anyone make that decision before," replied Laeten. "Nevertheless, your experience and presence will help boost the ranks of CorSec. Doing so is the primary objective of First Senator Mothma," said Giles. "Local sectors must be responsible for their own defenses." Laeten nodded. He liked the leader of the New Republic, but as with many who served on the front lines, who lost friends in the war, disarming just didn't feel right. But good soldiers follow orders, and he was one of the best. "I will make sure Corellia has all the personnel it needs to keep the peace," he said. "Good," said Giles, handing him a data disk. "Then read up about your first mission. You'll have your first batch of recruits once they've seen you in action." "Action?" said Laeten, surprised. "Are you telling me there's still Imp forces on Corellia?" "More than you know," said Giles.
  17. Coruscant. The busy centre of the universe, the place to be. After we've beaten the Imps Corsucant was chosen as the home of new parliament, the new armed forces HQ and so it became an even busier place. My uncle Han was promoted to General and imprisoned (his words, not mine) in an office in near the Jedi Senate building. He hated it, but he also was aware of the giant task to rebuild the defenses of the New Republic. So it was a surprise to receive a transmission via a Bothan messenger in which Han asked me to respond to his office as soon as possible. "So, Han, what do you need? You live in the shiny centre of everything and if you want you could rejoin the smugglers guild - nobody would stop a General and war hero. What you definetely need is some new furniture. This useless rubbish is from .. from your hideout in Corellia" "Don't you dare to talk trash about my furniture. It is old, but it has some benefits.. And yeah, just make fun of me. If feel like a porg in golden cage. I hate those damned offices, bureaucrats, meetings, workshops etc etc. This is not my world. No shootings, no chase, no... ah forget it. But: It is not what it seems to be. There are rumors, that there is a secret, criminal organisation undermining the New Republic, especially the armed forces....." CPQ3 by Jan Südmersen, auf Flickr "Well, I sensed something seeing this two Rebublic Guards in your office. What is it? "I don't know. But it seems that they try to bribe higher ranks. That is what I discovered. I fired some officers and that made me a target. And that is the reason why I need you and CorSec to clean up ths mess - I can't trust anybo..." TWAAAT TWAAAT TWAAT The alarm went off. The Guards were charging their weapons and running for the next assembly point. "Great. Now we are on our own. And without any blaster..." "We are not defenseless. There are secret compartment in that "useless" furniture.." "Wow! "And they have armor plates to provide some solid cover...." "Hm. I need one of those.... old but still useful." Intense blaster shoots, heavy explosions and loud screaming in the Corridor - a fight was going on. Then silence. And some mechanical sounds in the dark, slow klicks coming straight towards them..... To be continued.
  18. *Your entry has earned 13 XP (x2 for limited challenge)* Deep in the Outlands in the middle of the desert belt of Korvaii, raiders and smugglers were always present. CorSec was working hard to get this plague under control, but there were too many places to hide, too many weapon caches from ancient wars and lots of really bad guys running away from Imperial or any other kind of justice. One of these gangs are the "Red Sand Devils". The Reds are mainly mercenaries, trying to fill their pockets between two wars. Chief Rotz was the undisputed head of this gang. It is said that he killed more gang members than ordindary people... To get this swamped drained, CorSec startet with an extended weapon control programm. New weapon deliveries were stopped, caches were brought up and everybody carrying illegal weapons was arrested. Rotz was forced to contact Jona Hill, a famous war dog. 20. *Your entry has earned 10 XP* While CorSec was busy on Vanik, their allies, the Bothans, were having meetings of their own. Since smuggler and cartel business was on the rise, the Bothans knew they needed more eyes around the galaxy. Every since their now famous role in taking down a Death Star, the Bothans had a hard time acting as spies. 22. *Your entry has earned 10 XP. The double amount is 20* Previously Mick's Team's next step was to head to Junction and see what they could find out about Gradalla. They went to one of the trading outposts removed from the Imperial Remnant's reach. Here in the sands people were willing to talk, for the right price.
  23. *Your entry has earned 8 XP* Previously At Gradalla's fortress: Gradalla: Your men have seen that I captured Mick. I am putting him in one of my cells now. Gradalla: He will make fine entertainment for my Bull Rancor. Gradalla: And now to discuss my price. Imperial Officer Faust: Yes, yes. You will get your credits. Gradalla: Standard credits, none of your Imperial Credits. With the death of the Emperor those are worthless to me. Faust: I could book you for treason, but then where would our business partnership be? Yes, your credits will be Standard. Gradalla: Then you can be on your way. Faust: Ah, that leads me to the next matter we must discuss. I will be leaving a battalion of troops with you. I trust your services Gradalla, but I don't trust your greed. I don't want Mick being sold to other bidder after I'm gone. So my men will remain to ensure my credits were well spent when I hired you. Gradalla: This is outrageous! Faust: We could re-visit having you imprisoned for prison if you'd like. Gradalla seethes, but says nothing. Faust: No? That's what I thought. Faust leaves while Gradalla returns inside. Later that day, his Pau'an majordomo came to him with an intelligence report. Majordomo: Sire, my connections in the marketplace inform me that CorSec has discovered our involvement in capturing one of their own. They have a strike team which will likely try to storm the fortress soon. Shall I alert the guards? Gradalla looks at his Majordomo: Indeed, I think we may have just found a solution to our Imperial problem. Mick's team scouted the Fortress and decided to attack at dusk. They rushed in along the wall's edge to try to remain hidden from view as long as possible. While they crept in from the ground, there was a commotion on the walls. Gradalla's guards took out the Stormtroopers while they were distracted by CorSec's approach. Within view of the walkway now, Mick's team stopped short. Gradalla himself was waiting there for them! Gradalla: It would seem we have a mutual enemy. I know you're here to rescue Mick. And I have an Imperial garrison I need removed. We could all shoot at each other, but how about a deal? I'll call my men off. If you can take care of the Imperial troops Mick is free to go. You get your man and I get rid of the Empire. Do we have a deal? It wasn't ideal, but the choice was an easy one. Mick's team were let into the jail cell area and rushed the guards. Not expecting to be attacked by CorSec troops, the Stormtroopers were quickly overwhelmed. True to his word, Gradalla released Mick from his cell. Gradalla: I hope we can come to an understanding now. You have your man, I have my Fortress. I meant nothing personal by capturing your leader. Business is business you know. You are free to leave, but I would hurry. I expect the Imperials to be on your tail as soon as they realize what you've done to their troopers. Sari: You scum bag! You told the Imperials about us being here didn't you! Mick: No Sari, I appreciate your enthusiasm. But I suspect it's more due to the Imperial Office behind this, Faust. We've crossed paths before and he would go to a lot of trouble to make sure I don't make it off this planet. We should hurry.
  24. *Your entry has earned 6 XP* Previously OoC: The apartment and CorSec meeting room are from previous entries. Please only judge the walkway scene at the end. When Mick didn't report for duty the next day his trainees went to check on him. They assumed he had too much to drink the night before and was sleeping it off. But when they arrived they found Mick's apartment empty. Sari had some telepathic abilities that members of her race were occasionally born with. As she walked around the apartment she said, "I sense there was a struggle. I think Mick is in trouble." The team gathered at CorSec headquarters. Horn said, "Listen up! Your commander is missing. Now, your training may not be done yet, but it's time to put what you've learned to the test. I don't have any extra agents to spare at the moment so you'll have to do. Starting running your connections and see if you can find any leads." Kortan remembered a contact Mick had mentioned and traveled to Vanik to follow up with him. The contact was a hired thug that the wealthy members of society sometimes hired to do their dirty jobs for them. He had a friend who worked for Gradalla. Kortan was told that Gradalla had recently taken a job that might match Mick's description. When Mick heard that Gradalla was based on Junction, the planet he and Mick had recently surveyed he knew he probably had found the culprit.
