  1. I showed this MOC the past weekend in the Lego Fan Weekend in Skaerbaek. After many cars and other land vehicles, now its time to build something different. This creation is based in the Russian helicopter Kamov KA-32. This helicopter has the peculiarity that it has two coaxial rotors turning in opposite directions, instead of the traditional main rotor with a small tail rotor. A real Kamov KA-32 used in Spain for firefighting. I have used the same color scheme. This MOC has been build in scale 1:16. The rotors has a diameter of 127 studs(102 cm or 40 in.) The fuselage size is 98x15x23 studs (78x12x18 cm or 30.7x4.7x7.1 in.) Both rotors are powered by only one PF XL motor and a PF Rechargeable battery. Complete rotors control using two swashplates directly from the cabin. Just like the real KA-32. Collective lever control: fly up-down Cyclic stick control(both sticks works): fly front-back-right-left(not turn) Upper rotor pitch pedals: turn right-left The controls only control de lower swashplate, and this one control the upper swashplate using the there grey links . The front wheels have free steering. And the rear ones have suspension, and a side sliding door. Very quick fuselage disassemble. I know that all this technical features and strange functions are difficult to understand. So here you have a video showing the helicopter working.   3. It seems about time for me to get into the TC15 spirit. I've been building up a storm in my dorm room every chance I've had when I haven't been studying, and it seems about time I share my progress. I noticed that there are notably few helicopters so far, I think just steph's Chinook and Eric's Skycrane. So I decided to join the fray, and I'm going big on this one, the Sikorsky S-70C Firehawk, the cousin of the military Blackhawk. Unlike the blackhawk though, this one comes in pretty colors: Sikorsky S-70C - N2FH FireHawk by Christopher Ebdon, on Flickr I want my model to focus on playability, so I plan on making the swashplate RC controlled with PF. I also wanted to use as few motors as possible, so here's what I'm planning: 1 L motor - rotor blade rotation 1 M motor (or L motor if needed) - swashplate control 1 Servo motor - switch between collective, left/right cyclic and forward/backward cyclic So few motors means that the gearbox is naturally a beast, so it will likely be taking up the entire rear of the helicopter. Waiting on a few more parts to arrive before I share what I've concocted on that front. They will not be linked up to the swashplate movement, something I had debated for a long time, but decided that with the route I had taken with the gearbox it just wasn't feasible to fit it in. I guess this makes a fair consolation prize though. I'm really excited for this contest, hoping to finish in time and that I haven't bitten off more than I can chew. If I don't make it before the contest though I'm definitely finishing this one.   4. Friends, It took a little too long, much like the ATS, but the MD600N if finally done. Much more at thirdwigg.com, and the Flickr album can be found here. As I child I would see the MD600N and MD520N flying up and around my house. It was time to honor the love for the aircraft. The MOC has the following features: Opening Doors Working dual Joysticks Working dual Foot Pedals Working collective lever Swashplate Collective control (much thanks to Efferman for many components of the design) Swashplate Cyclic control NOTAR rotation Six bladed rotor PF L drive with LiPo Battery Working Landing skids (I mention this only because getting it to support the MOC and not tip over was quite a task) Seating for eight I hope you all enjoy.
