  1. Villa Del Balbianello is a lakeside villa in Italy built in 1785 expanding on an existing structure from the 13th century. With later additions added throughout the years such as relics added from an explorer. It was also featured in films such as Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) and James Bond: Casino Royale (2006). Also a set on LEGO Ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/85ec2902-0e20-40a8-9b18-4a79c9f560af
  2. "GREAT SCOTT!" A double-corner style modular of the famous Clock Tower / Court House from "Back to the Future!" What a joy and challenge it was to design this MOC! Not only was it a challenge to match the look of the building (classical architecture is particularly sensitive to proportions) but also make sure it fit within the confines of the Modular Building style. To limit the piece count (and because the inside of the building was never meaningfully shown on-screen), the interior of this MOC is bare-bones but functional (see more pics on Rebrickable). This leaves you with plenty of fun and opportunity to design your own look. Anyone interested can find the instructions here and on Rebrickable.com!

    [MOC] Post Office

Finally it's done! For the past 10 months, whenever I've found the time, I've been working on my new project "Post Office". My first corner house from the Modular Building series. Besides the challenge of 45° angles in Lego to build nice and stable, the biggest challenge with the corner house was certainly the small space. You can also see the whole project under MOC-88507 - Post Office on Rebrickable. There you can also buy the building instructions as PDF. Best you make yourselves a picture of it, enjoy! As already mentioned, the Post Office is a modular corner building. The MOC consists of an old post office on the first floor, a design agency on the 1st floor and a small yoga studio on the top floor. The MOC has a lot of details on each floor. It is built on a standard 32 x 32 baseplate and includes 11 minifigures and a small mobile flower wagon. Ground Floor - Post Office On the first floor is an old classic post office with two counters. In the post office there are many details like a copier, a packing corner or postcard racks. Outside there is an ATM and a flower seller with a small flower wagon. 1st floor - Ninja Design - Design Agency On the 1st floor, next to the passage to the outside spiral staircase to the top floor, there is a small, fully equipped design agency with work desks, eating area and sitting area. Many details such as posters of print campaigns, awards, a bookshelf and a water dispenser enliven the modern furnished office space. 2nd floor - Yoga Studio Small yoga studio on the top floor with a locker room, a gong and a water dispenser. There is an old clock on the outside that can be operated from the roof. Roof From the 2nd floor, a ladder leads to the flat roof. The roof is deliberately kept simple next to two air conditioners has made a small bird comfortable on the roof.

  5. A collaboration project with the original concept designer Brick-o-Tronic, my "Time Travel Ep.1 Portable Play Set" (instructions downloadable for free) is fully compatible and part of his modular Mobile City line. You can find more cool MC sets over @ rebrickable.com => Mobile City. Hope you like it. Play features: Step by step storage: Yes, it's Back to the Future and yes, it's Micro Machines - but this time in Lego... nearly endless possibilities ;)
  6. I decided to turn Arkham Asylum (set 10937) into my town's police station by adding a back half to the building and a bunch more regular City stuff, not just Super-hero related items. It features a police car (inspired by the Taxi in set 76057: Ultimate Bridge Battle) and two modular-style floors full of normal police station stuff, from detective desks and the commissioner's desk on the second floor and dispatching center and jails cells on the first floor. Even a coffee machine is included in the break room! The top floor is supposed to feature a clock with this print where the blank 4 x 4 dish is: clock 4 x 4 dish link while the front of of the station is supposed to say POLICE PRECINCT in printed 1 x 1 tile letters above the front door. The rear of the station features the chimney flue for the fireplaces on each floor. The bottom floor features a waiting room with secretary desk in the middle of the room, with jail cell on the right. The left features a dispatching center and equipment locker. Also, next to the stairs is a "most wanted" board. The upper floor features the detectives desks with their computers (and coffee cups!) while the middle of the layout features the break room with coffee machine and table + chairs. The far left of the floor features a private office for the police chief. This car is inspired by the Taxi in set 76057: Ultimate Bridge Battle. The 80's style patrol car features a light bar on top and can seat one figure as the driver. The rear of the car features some pretty cool SNOT work for the trunk and rear brake-lights. I will be building this eventually if I can keep the costs down. Until then, here is the LDD file for the car and station: LDD file link I grouped everything separately in the file, so it should be easy to modify.

    [MOC] Hill Valley Clock Tower

I just tore apart the Town Hall and started to make the Hill Valley clock tower from Back to the Future. Based on drawings I have acquired, I decided to make the model on three 32x32 baseplates. When complete, the finished model should be approximately 38 bricks tall. I finished the first floor mostly, aside from some bricks I am short. I won't place a bricklink order until I am done with all three floors to cut down on the number of orders I have to place. The rear of the building was never shown in the movie, as it didn't exist anyway, so I made the back look somewhat like the Town Hall's front. More pictures are uploaded to my flickr account here: https://www.flickr.c.../122646862@N02/ I hope to complete the next two floors next weekend. Then I can move onto the other project seen in the background in a couple of the pictures. That was has been on hiatus with parts stuck in customs for over 3 weeks. I bought replacement ones and they are stuck in customs as well now. Apparently, dark grey 1x1 plates are dangerous commodities.
