    [MOC] Centaur w/ Tailgunner

Centaur w/ Tailgunner (1) by socalbricks, on Flickr Centaur w/ Tailgunner (2) by socalbricks, on Flickr Some time after the city of O'Rai was destroyed, it civilians, now nomadic, encountered a clan of centaurs. Both groups had come into conflict with the various gangs of robbers and mercenaries that patrolled the plains and woodland of southwest Avalonia. A heavily armed, coordinated and agile cavalry was needed. The two groups chose to band together, and came up with the idea of combining a centaur and rider, with both of them often training together at a young age. This strategy would prove quite effective, with horde after horde of robbers falling to hoof, blade, and arrow. Riders now had a "cavalry" they could coordinate attacks with, and centaurs had their flanks (their one weak point) protected. --------------------------- A few months ago, back when I was researching weapons I wanted my centaur character (Ayra) to carry, I stumbled upon video by a YouTuber named Shadiversity, who mentioned that one of a centaur's best weapons would be a friendly human/elf/drawrf/etc. riding on its back. This gave me some ideas, and I got to building. For simplicity's sake, I chose to use Ayra as a template. On top of the addition of a "tailgunner", I also added clothing/barding to the character's lower/"horse half". This mitigated the open studs that existed on the original version, and in my opinion makes things look much cleaner overall. 3. Hey guys, Quite a long time ago I posted my IF Mods here on these forums. I mentioned that I was able to make the SNOTty section just as sturdy as the rest of the ship, but I didn't show how. Well today I got a little less lazy and decided to take the photos and explain what I did. The modifications are quite minor (so much so I don't know why TLG didn't do it from the get-go), and they don't seem to affect the look or style much at all (the best mod I did was "under the hood" so it could look almost exactly the same). At any rate, you can see my bow mods Here :). Anyways, just thought I would share so let me know what you guys think!
  4. Hello, we're making a model of a medieval building that presents a sequence of ogival bows; in the gallery of the bricks (in LDD) are available many different kinds of bows, but not the components that we need. Can anyone try to help us?! Thank you very much.
  5. This is a fully functional Lego Compound Crossbow. It is around 100 studs long - and combines several techniques that place the Legos under stress to undergo the significant tension of a compound cam with an idler wheel. We used Lego electronics to create the cables, and various wheel elements to distribute the compound pull function with various pulleys. And of course we wouldn't want to leave ya without letting you see it in action! So check out the video in the link! Thanks for reading! ===== This was created for our Iron Builder against the Erickson Brothers, and uses the green flexible spike piece as 1:1 scale crossbow bolt tips, viper fangs, a sight window, crosshairs, and trigger.
