  1. "We're on a mission from God." - The Blues Brothers I built this 1974 Dodge Monaco ex-cop car (AKA The Bluesmobile from the 1980 film "The Blues Brothers") from these free Rebrickable instructions by user @brickhead_07, but modified by me to fit two figures. (among other changes) I changed the inside details from tan to light bluish gray, and I had to raise the roof by a two plates to get the figures to fit. I also modified the bull-bar on the front of the car to be stronger. Sadly the Blues Brothers can't sit side by side, but the can fit one per row due to how the sides are built. Of course, what use is the Bluesmobile without a couple of Soul Men sitting inside? Now that I've covered the car and figures, Jake and Elwood have something to say in closing: "It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.... HIT IT! EDIT 12/28/22: real life photos added

    Bluesmobile

I don't think I posted this yet. I couldn't find it in the search function. I was going to post it a while ago, but must not have finished. I'm going through my phone library, so thought I would get some MOCs posted. Bluesmobile by TheLegoDr, on Flickr Bluesmobile by TheLegoDr, on Flickr Bluesmobile by TheLegoDr, on Flickr It is a mash up modification of Arkham police car and the Kwik-E-Mart police car. I took bits and pieces from both and then modified the areas that needed fixing. I would prefer to have the roofline lower, but windshields are tricky in that regard. And the rear window should have white sides, but I didn't have any stickers. I also didn't have a Sheriff star sticker/decal for the side door. But I think you get the picture either way. I built the megaphone on top and then used LEGO rope with stud on end to make it appear like it is secured. I think it turned out pretty well, but maybe I'm too close to it. What do you think? (I know the picture could benefit from the CMF Jazz musician, but I couldn't find him at the time of picture day.

    (MOC) Bluesmobile

Hi! Here is my 6 wide bluesmobile - the classic 1974 Dodge Monaco police cruiser. 1974 was a good year. I was born!

    MOC - The Bluesmobile

After watching the Blues Brothers recently, I decided to build the Bluesmobile to display in my city. The megaphone on the roof can be removable, but it looks cooler with it on in my opinion. It hasn't got the police star on the sides yet, but I will try to add them soon. Feel free to suggest any improvements, and enjoy. Oh, and I've posted it on Cuusoo, please support the project http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/49891
