[MOC] Imperial Facility on Er'Kit 2.0

Hey guys! Here's a big update of my Imperial Base on Er'Kit. This build is both an extension of my long-planned project and an online collab with my friend Noah (H2Brick). Who motivated me to do this? Well, Noah did, whose part of the collab comes very soon. It's much more vertical than mine, I'm gonna spoil you just this. :D It was so nice to do multiple whatsapp/discord building calls with Noah and give feedback to each other. Hope you like this updated version of the base. I personally see some oversimplified areas that I can improve in the future. Don't worry, I'll work on them. I'm having an exam session now and I was grinding for the past 5 days to get this done. I guess it was worth it! :D BTW. The size of the moc is 2x3 gray 48x48 baseplates now, and will be expanded (again) this year! TIE Fighter by Jerac. AT-ST by Pablo Brickasso. 74-Z Speeder heavily inspired by Luca s projects. Ok, here are some pics: Huge thanks to CTR Bricks for editing the main pic! More detail shots in a Flickr album: And here is the september 2020 edition of the collab: Imperius Unitada Ober Totallex!

    GAIA-72 TERRAFORMING STATION

Hello, this is my latest Classic Space project, enjoy. You still love Classic Space, but you want more than just remakes of Classic Space sets? You want something new, fresh, never seen before? Here´s your opportunity to promote new futuristic designs for space sets. GAIA-72 TERRAFORMING STATION, is a dome base fully enclosed with everything the space explorers need to survive extraterrestrial environments. Its composed of a 1200 piece dome base (roughly the same amount of pieces of 10497) and a 1100 piece launch port. A perfect addition to any Classic Space collection. If you like it, give it your support and let's hope we can have this on store shelves soon.

    KAPPA NOTCH COMPLEX

Another Classic Space Lego Ideas project. This time is White Classic Space/Futuron Color Scheme. Kappa Notch Complex is a Space Base nestled between mountains, It´s composed of several modules or rooms connected internaly by corridors dug into the rocky mountains around a large rocket silo housing a two stage rocket designed to take a satelite into orbit in new colonizing planets. Lab, telecommunications, control panel, infirmary are among the fuctions of the modular rooms of the base. It also features a vehicle hangar and landing pad among the features of the base. NOTE: I updated the base by adding a Space Police rover and Blacktron speeder. The upgrades will be added to Lego Ideas in a month. COSMIC HORIZON RESEARCH BASE

A couple of months ago, I share images of a personal project for a Classic Space piece pack. I send it to Lego Ideas and was rejected. So I designed in around 4 days a space design using all those pieces at once. This is a space lab base with a internal rocket launching platform. The rocket is manned and can hold a minifig inside, Includes a vehicle and a spacecraft. Please help me by supporting this base. We need more cool classic space designs and make Classic Space as great as in the 80s. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/72fff146-8452-4118-889c-72d5a879b235
  10. These are builds inspired by or taken from the first MMO made for Lego: LEGO Universe. (or LU, as it was affectionately known) Here is my space base... ...the space vehicles, and below is the history + the LU story post-2010: This game had very few real world items in sets, but two things did come out: First, an astronaut for people who pre-ordered the game in 2010... and then a rocket that was modular in the style of the game (Nose + Cockpit + Engine) and was released in a LEGO Club event to build your own rocket. (both pictures from Brick Link) The game lasted barely past it's first birthday (October 2010 was when it started), with the plug being pulled on February 1st 12:01 AM 2012. As a testament to the game I played and loved, I built some models that continue the story past 2012 and beyond the current day. Here are those builds: - 16 soldier figures - 1 orange mini-fig robot (from Galaxy Squad) - 1 train engineer (in brown) - 2 scientists (in blue jackets) - 1 Bob (lab coat with white boots) - 2 astromech droids The NIFT-E robot was designed in 2015 to compliment the thousands of Sentry (set 4416) series robots produced in 2006 by the X-POD corporation for the original Nexus Force founders. Thirty-four of these newer robots were produced in 2018 as a test batch, called the Nexus Iron Friendly Teammate - Engineer class (NIFT-E) for use as spaceship ground-crew and heavy engineering duties, including fueling and heavy duty maintenance, computer updating, and guiding ships into landing zones. They are used alongside human counterparts who work on the harder to reach areas of a ship's engine, and on life support systems. Each human master mechanic (of which every base has at least two or three of them, plus several apprentices) is assigned an NIFT-E counterpart, in which they are equal partners working towards the same goal: keeping the ships flying, the base humming with life, and repair bay as empty as possible in case of emergencies. I copied this back in 2012 from a desktop download from the old LEGO Universe game. It was carefully cut out and switched to gray scale to save ink. It is the logo of the Nexus Force. Due to the Nexus Force logo not being found anywhere but a expensive mini-figure torso from a limited edition polybag, I have decided to change the logo to something different. This new logo is seen in the 2014 CITY Arctic sets. I figure this is my in-universe explanation of the logo change: This moon base-like space base model was inspired by set 60036 (Arctic Base Camp), with a rooftop shield generator partially lifted from set 75098 (Assault on Hoth) and a sensor array inspired by set 76157 (Wonder Woman VS. Cheetah) The base consists of eight separate, interchangeable, modular sections, all of which have opening roof / wall sections for ease of access. These sections include (but are not limited too): a common bunk room, a spaceship control tower, a fusion generator, communications room, break room, and several more. As you can see, I joined the base to the rail-line with a short siding for freight deliveries, and for the servicing of steam locomotives on services such as the Moonlighter passenger train. Fictional history of the base: The Nexus force landed on an ice world named DY-17, (this was soon to be renamed Ice Station Destiny) in a bit of desperation, as the Maelstrom had damaged their escape cruiser, the Bright Hope, to the point of near hyper-drive core failure. The ships sensors located no technology on the surface, and not many life forms, but a lot of geothermal activity in the form of large heat/steam vents from the core to the surface, which could be used for emergency power. The ship landed, and soon the base camp for the crew of the Bright Hope was set up. It was then discovered the planet had many mineral deposits that happen to be compatible with the metal in the Hyper-drive cooling system. So, the minerals began to be mined, and pretty soon the crew had a good operation going that was almost self-sufficient and very eco-friendly. A vote was taken, and the crew chose to stay on the ice world they re-named Ice Station Destiny, as the planet had supplied all of their wants and needs. The logo was repainted to show the original Nexus logo as a distant star, signifying the journey taken by the Bright Hope to their new home world, which was symbolized by the ice-covered world on the logo. The Bright Hope and crew were eventually discovered two years after their landing on Ice Station Destiny by the Norstas of the nearby world of Beta Polaris. Bob formed a friendship with this like-minded race, which eventually became an Alliance between the two forces, and the rest is history Common bunk room, as everyone on the base sleeps in shifts in these bunks. This corner hall module also leads outside via a back door. (not visible here) The beating Nuclear heart of the base. It is powered by cold fusion, and is situated at the center of the base, under the radio communications antenna. This deep-space communications room is where every listening post the Nexus Force has comes to bear it's potentially deadly load. What are they listening for? No, it's not the latest M-TRON corporate gossip or Blacktron III secret battle plans. It's whether the Maelstrom has figured out how to invade our universe from the old pocket dimension they have been sealed away in. This ultra top secret project has listening posts attached to an uninhibited asteroid or comet in almost every known sector of inhabited space. They plan on finding out where and when the Maelstrom ever invade (if they ever do) and planning a counterattack with all available forces before they can even fully emerge through the rip in space-time. The fusion reactor's control room. This module leads outside to the base's elevated landing pad. Upstairs is the flight control tower. This tower makes landing large spacecraft easier, and helps keep an eye out for unwanted guests. It sits on top of the previous module. These computers analyze rock samples looking for fuel traces to be mined. The break room is mostly taken from set 60036, with the addition of the Death Star plans. (Why not?) The radio array on top of the nuclear reactor. SPACE VEHICLES This ship was originally set 70816, Benny's spaceship (x3), with the Unkiitty seat and radar dish removed in favor of a skylight and laser gun turret instead. The sliding wings were redesigned to be stationary and thus provide space under the turret for commander Bob. The ship also has separate passageways for crew to walk so they don't have to go outside to go to Bob, engineering, or the bridge. More recently, I combined the ship with a more elongated nose taken from the 2015 DC Comics set 76028 (Darksied Invasion). I was inspired to build this model by this cool ship by Oran Cruzen over on MOCpages. (RIP) The ship has three areas for up to eight crew to be placed, with passageways for the figures to "walk" from section to section. The rear of the ship has three engines and a rotating, elevating laser turret above. This rocket was originally poly-bag number 55001 from the failed 2010 MMO Lego Universe. Just like in the game, it can split into three modular parts connected by Technic axles. These sections are the following: -Nose-Cone -Cockpit -Engine The rockets can be dissembled into the three component sections and are interchangeable with each other, and with about 15+ other rockets available in LDD form from the Lego Universe Wiki. Also, the completed rockets can seat 1 mini-figure each. The LEGO snow speeder design from Episode V (The Empire Strikes Back) of Star Wars fame has been using basically the same design for almost two decades (since 2004's set 4500, actually) and I have appropriated it for my LEGO Universe space fleet. Yes, I removed the gunners seat and added a new rear cockpit canopy, but it's the same basic overall design. (Ok, so I also placed fins on it from the EU Sandspeeder variant for added flair.) These two have replaced my original Nexus Force fighters from six years ago. (2016!) There is room inside each cockpit for a single figure. (Please note: The main cockpit canopies have the wrong "look" due to a mix-up. I want to order replacement ones without any printing soon.) Rear view showcasing the Speed Champions windscreen at the rear when the gunners seat / harpoon gun was. I am going to put a R2 droid head in behind the pilot for hyper-space navigation, but am as-yet unable to locate where I placed them in my collection. (I know I have some extra I just can't find them!) LAND VEHICLES This revamped model is one mean-looking space-driving machine! Partially inspired by Lola the car from the TV show Agents of Shield, (although this one doesn't fly) this is Bob's ultimate ride. It still seats one figure, although it now features a roof overhead for weather protection. The doors also open. ..and it even has room for taillights! (no exhaust pipe needed, this thing runs on clean fusion.) This model is a slightly modified version of set 60033, Arctic Ice Crawler that I call the Mobile Ice Driller . Whereas the original set has a crane hook, this one has a much more useful drill bit. The drill is used for mining energy crystals embedded deep within the ice of the frozen world on which the Neo Nexus Force is stationed. This is a very slightly modified version of set 60035: Arctic Outpost. All I really did to this one was add the symbol to the front fender. The inside of the mobile outpost is a lab, complete with Bunsen burner and microscope with crystal sample. It seems the computer hanging from the ceiling bar is off right now, as the scientist is out collecting more samples that were dug out with the Mobile Ice Drill. The rear of the model is pretty sparse in details, and as such, their isn't much to say about it. The snow speeder you see here is a simple vehicle to aid in fetching luggage and equipment across the base. It is armed with a flare gun and a radio. These come in mighty handy when the sun sets and temperatures plummet to well below minus 125 Fahrenheit! FINAL THOUGHTS Well, that's all I've built so far, but that's not the end of the story or the models. Scott Bourgeois from MOCpages has made some pretty awesome stuff related to the Neo Nexus Force, their first allies, the peaceful Norstas (from the planet Beta Polaris in orbit of the the North Star) and the common enemy, the Xantukans. (inspired by the snake cultists from Ninjago) These were visible on MOCpages, but are now long gone. EDITED 8/1/22: added pictures of the base as it was in July. (first two pics) Any thoughts / ideas / complaints would be appreciated!

    Blacktron Droid Factory Lego Ideas

Back in the 90s I used to think the Message Intercept Base was a Futuron Base diguised as a Blacktron one. Many times I thought how it would look a true Blacktron1 Base. So I designed this project and make something more "mean" more "rebelious" a base with modules which could be used both as rooms in the base and also as parts of vehicles or ships. I wanted to take the interlocking modular concept used by Lego on the Blacktron 1 sets to a new level and giving a fresh look to the retro space subtheme. Also give them droids which actual look like automata units for different purposes like spy units or guards. Enjoy it and if you like it, give it support. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/0f9caab4-1d4a-4207-ae82-60b6cc8b61d9

For his new squadron, which is made up of fresh-off-the-assembly-line E-Wings, the experienced officer recruited mainly pilots with experience in flying Incom vessels for clandestine Rebel Alliance cells in heavily fortified Imperial sectors. Blackmoon Squadron has flown its first missions out of Phindar in the Demetras Sector. In stark contrast to Commander Varth’s reputation, the squadron has only lost a single pilot during the first four standard months of its existence. As a replacement for the fallen squadron member, Seb Koltin, a native of Vondarc and former commercial pilot, has been recommended to Commander Varth. Koltin has combat experience in both the Z-95 and T-65B, having served in Bothan Space and the Tapani sector during the height of the Rebellion. TEZTA CENTENNIAL WATCHTOWER

Greetings, everyone. I'm back with a new project. Please support it. Space Base, Observatory, Hangar, Launch platform, all in one playset. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/3aaf1892-0890-445b-98ef-a5b5d7dbc0c1 Let's bring back Classic Space.
  18. (When the base and any other digital creations are built in real life, I will add those pictures into this page.) This is the beginning of a journey through the wormhole to a mini-figure called Benny and a civilization on the cusp of greatness. His continuing mission: to seek out new lifeforms, to explore unknown worlds, all in the name of of science and awesomeness. The year is 1980-something, the name of the theme is Classic Space. Classic Space fortress walls The base as it was ordered... will post a picture of the complete setup when built in real life. Here is the front gate of my space base to let the train (or road vehicles) through. It can safely open and close still using the HoG (Hand of God) method without impacting the flow of 9v current (still need to add those 9v tracks..) through the rails... though I wouldn't suggest driving through it with the door closed! This is one of twelve walls sections, held together with the other modules by four Technic pins.(two on each side) This is one of four of the corner modules. I redesigned these since last time to be less parts intensive and have fewer gaps in the wall. Astro Bot Recharge / Repair bay The inspiration behind this large robot-recharge port model is mainly inspired by the mech repair bay from 2006 set 7709. (Sentai Fortress) from Exo Force. I can attach the robot to a small mound behind each foot, where it holds it there by two studs per heel. The dark gray thin sidewall pieces located on three sides of the foot make sure Astro Bot 33 won't wiggle side-to-side and disengage from his charge port prematurely. The wall supports the mech repair bay and also gives me another two brand-new wall sections (in length) in for the base to play with at the same time! Classic Space HQ / Benny's skyscraper - 76038 MOD This building was inspired by my brother's take on set 6398, Central Precinct HQ. He added a back staircase module (which I have removed in favor of an older 2015 Avengers tower-inspired model / MOC I made a couple weeks back), while I removed the prison cell and changed the color scheme from white and black to blue and white with trans-yellow glass. The windows and doors were also modernized, and the large spinning sensor array added to the roof. I've also added connectors to the main base walls, which means the building is fully integrated into my Classic Space base. As previously stated, the rear was inspired by set 76038, Attack on Avengers Tower, from the Age of Ultron movie. This ultimately meant that the 1990's-style model's floors had to be stretched upwards by two bricks each in height to match the newer model's floor-plan. I really like the sleek wraparound window on the top floor of the building, as it is where personal Benny's office is. He gets to look out on the space base, and marvel at how things have changed since his creation in 1984. The right side wall opens up to reveal the inside of the building. Ground floor is official meeting space, second and third floors are for monitoring the radio telescope and other such devices across the galaxy. Fourth floor is the break room, while the fifth floor is Benny's personal office. (Note: On the outdoor patio on floor three is the monument to Jens Nygaard, the gone-but-not-forgotten creator of Classic Space.) The rear tower folds open for access too, and like the side wall, locks shut on a Technic pin. Here you can also see Benny's desk. Lunar Crater Crawler vehicle This model is based off 60192 (Arctic Ice Crawler) from the 2018 CITY Arctic theme, this MOD is called the Lunar Crater Crawler and moves boulders with it's larger gripping claw tool. It can seat one fully-suited astronaut figure. It also has printed controls in front of the space seat. Floodlights sit on the sides of the craft, allowing you to see on the dark side of the moon, while there is a clip for a handheld radio should you need to contact the command base. The rear should feature the Classic Space logo on a 4x2 slope, while a bumblebee stripe printed 1 x 2 tile goes above the logo. This printed pieces will be applied in real life once it's built. Lunar Armored Marauder hover-transporter The new set 75311 (Imperial Armored Marauder) has been transformed into a Classic Space version, complete with revised forward-facing side guns. All the hatches still open, but I couldn't use space seats inside this one, but there are plenty (four per vessel) of 2x2 modified tiles with just enough room for air-tanks in the model... at least I hope that will be the case! The rear of the Marauder. I just need to buy two copies of my digital file as shown, as that's at least $15 total cheaper than buying two sets and recoloring them after the fact. Any thoughts on this MOD? Classic 1950's Moonraker automobile Inspired by this recent @hachiroku build here, I have completed this new early 1950's car for Benny, who seems pretty happy with it. Looks pretty classy, right? The two doors open, but the obligatory black space seat is missing, because any more height and Benny would not fit inside. The rear has a license plate, the classic space logo, and two coverings partially obscuring the rear wheels. The roof is held on by four studs, and is as such removable. As a courtesy to the driver instead of the space seat, I have included a light bluish gray upholstery for the back of the seat. Classic 1980's Security Forces Jeep (x2) This model was heavily inspired by set 75916: Dilophosaurus Ambush from the first series of Jurassic World sets. I have turned that jeep into a Classic Space vehicle by subtracting most of the features and adding the CS logo to this piece on the trunk and a space seat for the driver. This CS version has a trans-yellow windscreen and a revised roll-cage. The rear of the vehicle has a spare tire, license plate and tail-pipe while the roll-cage folds back to allow for you to place the driver in the seat. Cosmic Explorer This is a heavily modified set 70816 (Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!) to features a new canopy from set 75176 (Resistance Transport pod) for the front windscreen, plus a rear turret that elevates and rotates in lieu of the radar dish and repair robots. To match the new canopy, the crew quarters were enlarged and opening roof remade, but the wings still fold out via the same Technic mechanism as in the original set 70816. More recently, I added a new nose to the ship inspired by DC comics set 76028. (Darkseid Invasion) The rear of the ship features the three main engines. The sensor array that was once near here was replaced by a four-barrel repeating laser turret that can rotate a full 360 degrees and elevate to 180 degrees, allowing for cover fire in almost any direction. The wings fold out if the center engine is pushed inwards, ready for the foam-tipped missiles to be engaged and aimed at any Blacktron III enemies... I did remove those yellow missiles, as they were too touchy and could fire accidentally. The main canopy has been heavily modified to allow for crew to go between the engineering and navigation sections without having to exit the ship. The Unikitty-seat area was replaced with a opening canopy for the engineering and fire-control crew to see outside from their stations near the Imagination Reactor. Deep Space Fighters These ships are deep space fighters of the Galaxy-class. Each seat one figure and have enhanced hyper-drive making it nearly as fast as LL-929. (Benny's spaceship) This ship was designed to be a heavily-armed fighter, and features an enclosed cockpit allowing for long distance travel such as from system to system if in an emergency. The rear of each of the two ship's features two engines made up of four smaller rockets. Here is the cockpit, which can seat 1 pilot figure per ship. Interstellar Frigate I really like this ship and have since I first saw it, I just had to wait for the instructions for set 75293 (Resistance IT-S Transport from Star Wars) to come out to make sure it could be built in real bricks with the changes I had in mind. (which were quite a lot!) I'm so glad I chose to do it in LDD first before just buying random bricks, as it required SO many modifications to the design (including an actual windscreen and extended cargo bay!) and changing other colors, that I would have been completely lost just swapping parts out at random. The eight engines are attached in a completely different way to the set design, as 2 x 4 bricks with three Technic holes going straight down don't exist in LDD. This new design was the only suitable way to get them to work on the ship in a very tight space. Also, I added double raised fins to the rear of the ship, for that extra retro '80's space flair. The cargo bay is quite spacious for troops or freight as it has been elongated by four studs from the set's original length. (You can see it is loaded with five yellow space-crates above) The roof of the cargo bay comes off, while the landing ramps fold up / down for loading or unloading of cargo / security personnel. The front of the ship has a space seat for a single pilot with two large laser forward-facing cannons. The pilot's cabin also features actual controls and a real front windscreen. (unlike the stickers and tiles in the original set!) The cockpit roof folds away, just as it did in the original set, which you can partially see here. K8-E the robot dog - Benny's best friend After meeting the Doctor (Who?) and his K-9 (pronounced Canine) unit, Benny decided he wanted a pet. So he bought himself a retired space police bot named K8-E (it's pronounced Katy) who helps Benny with his maintaining his SPACESHIP! and home base of the fleet. The two robot dogs eventually teamed up to sabotage a Blacktron and Dalek peace treaty from being signed, thus keeping the Universe safe from their plans for conquest for the moment. K8-E even took a laser shot from the Blacktron secondary leader, saving K-9 from being killed in the midst of them leaving the self-destructing Dalek ship. When reunited with Benny and the Doctor a short while later, the robot dog was fixed up and given the nod of approval from the Doctor, and a happy farewell from K-9, who left with the Doctor in the TARDIS to go to parts unknown looking for the Daleks fleeing from their loss at the hands of K8-E & K-9. From then on, K8-E has been keeping Benny company while awaiting the return of K-9 and the Doctor. K8-E is actually modified from set 8399 (K-9 Bot), which is a 2009 Space Police III set. Astro-Bot 33 - Classic Space's Giant Robot You may ask yourself: "Why would the Classic Space fleet want a giant robot?" The answer is a simple one: "Who in their right mind wouldn't want a giant freaking robot!?!?!" This Classic Space version of Build Better Bricks' Iron Giant with the head of the previous @hachiroku version of the model's head added on. (consider it a mashup of the two Iron Giant models!) I made it into CS colors (black, light / dark grays and blue) with red and green light parts, and two yellow / black bumblebee stripe tiles. The rear of the robot. The 4 x 2 slopes on the arms are supposed to have this print. The mouth now can open to allow for posing... but unfortunately, it doesn't play nice with the shoulders, so the mouth must remain closed until I can figure out a better solution. Another thing that didn't work well was the rotating waist: it operated too jerkily and was hard to operate, so I removed that feature. Conveyex Crawler-Transporter This is a heavily modified Classic Space version of 2018 Star Wars set 75217 (Imperial Conveyex Transport). It's length has been doubled and the visible weapons have been removed, to make more room for passengers. Behind the trans-yellow glass of the former cargo-cars are seats, so that workers can get to Benny's space base without driving in themselves. (Call it a commuter light-railroad system, without the "rail" part!) The vehicle can be shortened or lengthened in modular sections depending on the needs of the specific mission, but in this particular case it has two crawler engine units, and two cargo hauler segments that can easily detach for maintenance or to drop more segments in / out. On each of the engine units is the dual drivers compartments, located on either side of the tread behind the square openings. Each car seat four figures, meaning the whole train hauls eight people (+ their air-tanks!). ....and yes, two of the handles on the doors are upside-down in all the pictures. Classic Space figures These are all my Classic Space figures. The thirteen green figures are the soldiers of the group, while while the six red suited people are scientists. The three blue figures are Benny (in helmet), Penelope (with pigtails), and Unikitty who are the officers of the group. The two other figures, (the red android and the robo-dog) are T-3PO, who serves as the translator to other species and computer systems, while the robo-dog is K8-E who happens to be Benny's personal pet / security guard. The astronauts you see here are the famous "Lost Six". These half-dozen brave souls were with Benny in 1988 when the space station they were on was ambushed by Blacktron I forces and blasted into a black hole. Benny managed to escape the station before it entered the gravity field, but only just in the nick of time. (He could not reach his ship mates due to a computer error with the hatch systems.) Benny's suit was damaged in the escape, and he still wears it like that to this day as a reminder of his failure to get his crew off in time. This is the last picture of the Lost Six, with Benny out of frame because he took the picture. (He was supposed to be in the picture, but he forgot to set the timer on that take.) Will we ever see these brave men and women again? Only time will tell! Meet AstroKitty (in blue) and PuppyNaut (in white)! I've had AstroKitty built like this since 2014 when I got Benny's Spaceship (x3) from the original LEGO Movie line. I had to find a novel solution to the head-falling-off problem. (double the body width and pretend it's a bigger spacesuit) I was very sad to see Lego never released a blue one of the upside-down 1 x 3 tile parts with hole used in the newer Unikitty! sets seen around 2018 to correct this error. I did, however, note the new arrival of Puppycorn, Unikitty's energetic younger brother from the TV show and was disappointed to see he never had a Classic Space variant, besides the "Alien" version. (which I don't count as actually being Puppycorn.) So, in short, I made one from his Dalmatian costume, made to be double wide like AstroKitty. Sadly, there is no Classic Space logo on Puppynaut, as there is on Astrokitty. (This drives my OCD nuts!) ...oh, and they have headlamps on both their helmets, to provide light in dark environments and a convenient hole for the unicorn horn to fit into. I have used what was left of the word astronaut as originally worded by LEGO, as in ASTRO goes with KITTY; so thus PUPPY gets hitched to NAUT. Thus, we get PUPPYNAUT to describe him. EDITED 5/21/21 added some newer models to the post. As usual, Comments, questions and complaints are always welcome!

  20. Hi everyone, I wanted to complete this build a few weeks ago. Hayfever was quitte extreme this year. It almost caused a builders block. The plan was a bit different from what it has become. The Alpha Team has infiltrated the base of Ogel. Crunch is placing the explosives at the power core, which is needed for the orbs. Charge is at the lookout. Cam is at the computer, trying to find the man behind all of this. Dash and Radia are hidden. They have spotted the guards walking towards Charge and Crunch. Can Crunch and Charge hide themselves or should Dash create a diversion? For more pictures, please look into my Flickr album.

    [Tutorial] MOC SNOT Base

I got started on a new pirate/imperial MOC yesterday evening and thought I’d make a little tutorial as I went about how to make a SNOT (Studs Not On Top) base. This is how far I got in about 90 minutes, will post again when I make more progress. First off, credits to @Ayrlego for showing me how to make this sort of base originally with his Watermill WIP thread. ------------------- STEPS: 1. Make the shape of the base with plates. You want to end up with a 2-layer thick shape made of plates. I think it looks most natural if you only ever shift the edge border by 1 stud at a time ------------------- 2. Once you have a 2-layer plate, add a layer of bricks on top, but leave a 1 stud empty space around the edge. That’s where SNOT bricks are going to go ------------------- 3. Place SNOT bricks around the outside. On the corners, use SNOT bricks with 2 studs on adjacent sides. If you need to buy SNOT bricks in bulk, yellow ones are pretty cheap on BrickLink. When done, you’ll have a base that is 5 plates tall (2 plates + 1 brick). That 5-plate height is important, because 5 plate height is exactly the height of a 2x plate on its side ------------------- 4. Attach 1x and 2x plates to the SNOT sides. You’ll need to build up the sides with more plates to make the border transitions smoother. ------------------- 5. Place plates on top of the base, covering the SNOT bricks. This will start the visible part of your building base and also make the SNOT bricks secure. ------------------- That’s as far as I got in one 90-min sitting! I love that this SNOT base is super sturdy, which comes in handy when I'm moving it back and forth from my building area to a kid-proof storage area. I also love that imagination is the only limit when it comes to shape! Hopefully this little tutorial helps others get started with it.
  23. [MOD] Martian Colonization Base, 4x 60227 I transformed the lunar space station into a Martian land base for colonization The blocks / modules are perfect. I also made a small NPU with train part number 55768. It makes excellent glass roof/skylight :) Picture on high quality 4096x3072 on my flickr [MOD] Martian Colonization Base, 4x60227 by Horlack, sur Flickr

    [MOC] WH40k: Aeldari Hideout

Hello again, Eurobricks! Here is my new work based on the universe of Warhammer 40000 tabletop game. The following story is not a part of WH40k official lore, but my own creation. An exile. He was banished from his own craftworld by his own student. The rescue of a human hive world at the cost of Aeldari lives brought consequences. He had to flee to a distant, forsaken, barren planet that previously belonged to the ancient Aeldari Empire, and there he built a wraithbone tower where he lived as a recluse. Two hundred Terran years have passed. The old friend brought news about the fracture of Biel-Tan. And about the birth of the Ynnari, a new cult of Death God Ynnead that gave a new hope to divided Aeldari (or Eldar, as they were called before) tribes, promising to end Chaos menace once and for all. And the exiled Farseer moved on and understood that his war is far from over. He rallied like-minded Aeldari from his home craftworld and other places, and together they turned his hideout into a base of a small army fighting on Ynnari's side. The base is built on a deserted, barren planet. The shining structures made of wraithbone, an Aeldari psychically-sensitive material, are raised atop a cliff. The fortress consists of three buildings: the Farseer's tower, the Soul Shrine and the plasma generator: Not far from the hideout a portal to the Webway, the trans-dimensional network of tunnels used by Aeldari for transportation, is located: Like the road, it existed before the Farseer arrived at the planet. Now the Ynnari use this ancient arch to appear on other planets and strike at their enemies such as Chaos, Necrons or Tyranids: The wraithbone staircase leads to the entrance: The Soul Shrine was erected after the Farseer pledged himself to Ynnead. This building serves as an armory and a training center: Its shape was inspired by Dawn of War video game: The plasma generator provides energy for the base: It looks like an Eldar generator from Dawn of War: A conservatory with air filtration system is located near the generator: Aeldari buildings are white, decorated with lots of gems and stones. A transparent dome rises above Farseer's tower: An ornate spire crowns the tower: Walls with windows - there are corridors behind them: Some technical device is located near the Soul Shrine: The Farseer's tower stands on ornate yet sturdy supports: Б A side view: Now the hideout is attacked by the forces of Chaos, led by Space Marines from Death Guard Legion. The Farseer had to get support from Ynnari leaders and Drukhari to repel the invasion of Eternal Enemy: Yvraine, the Daughter of Shades, the Herald of Ynnead and the leader of Ynnari clashed with a Chaos Lord who worships Nurgle, the God of Rot. She wields Kha-vir, one of ancient Croneswords, and is accompanied by Alorynis, her loyal Gyrinx familiar: Along Yvraine the Visarch fights. He is her mysterious bodyguard who never takes off his helmet. He is armed with Asu-var, another Cronesword, and strikes with it the Plaguebearers - virulent daemons of Nurgle: The exiled Farseer of craftworld Ermyaris leads his followers to battle. He is reading battle spells, holding up his Singing Spear, and his Gyrinx Murzinx enhances the psychic power of his master: Howling Banshees Exarch Eyla - the very same friend who told the Farseer about the Ynnari - strides towards Poxwalkers of Nurgle. She will destroy these plague zombies with her Executioner before they spread their foul diseases: Autarch Xaniele who left Ermyaris by her own will, rides her jetbike, armed with laser lance: Chaos forces advance. They have Chaos Space Marines, ordinary humans and daemons: The attack is led by Pestilens Bubulgor, Death Guard Chaos Lord. Like all Space Marines from that Legion, he bloated due to blessings of "Grandfather Nurgle" and merged with his power armor, through which horns and bones began to protrude. The Chaos Lord is armed with a manreaper scythe crowned by the mark of Nurlge, and a plasma pistol: Chaos Lord is accompanied by Plague Marines - common Death Guard warriors armed with boltguns. Like their leader, they turned into monstrous mutants: Plague Marines are joined by our old friend Nefaros. This Noise Marine from Emperor's Children Legion can now boast with his stylish guitar that can not only make disgusting noises, but shoot bolts and fire! And it bears the mark of Pleasure God Slaanesh! Near the Chaos Marines march the cultists - ordinary people from various planets who are devoted to Chaos. This particular cult is led by an old psyker who worships Tzeentch, the God of Knowledge and Magic: Poxwalkers slowly shamble behind human Chaos followers. These mindless zombies were once Imperial workers who got infested by Nurgle's plague: Near the Poxwalkers, an ogryn fights. This big and strong, but very stupid abhuman mutant joined the Chaos Cult only because of loyalty to his commanders. Plaguebearers - the disgusting one-eyed, one-horned daemons of Nurgle: United, the Aeldari stand tall against the minions of evil: The Farseer is aided by Drukhari - Dark Eldar who abandoned their vile lifestyles and joined the Ynnari. A Drukhari Reaver jetbike emerged from the Webway gate, firing at Chaos followers from a splinter rifle: This Drukhari squad is led by Archon Teniria who came to Ynnari with the pursue of knowledge: A Drukhari sword master from Incubi order fights with Bloodletters - the daemons of Blood God Khorne: Spiritseer Tillmiele casts her spells, calling to Aeldari souls: The base is defended well. Support platforms with D-cannons that create holes in reality, and Ranger Moyaz shell the enemies from the walls: The battle is in full swing: The barren battlefield landscape: And here is what the hideout looks inside. I wouldn't have been myself if I didn't make the interior: The entrance hall and corridors are elevated above an underground cave: This large and spacious hall is a good place for meetings and discussions: The entrance hall has a glassy floor: You can see behind it an enigmatic fountain with swirling souls. Even the Farseer does not know what it is. These ruines apparently remained from the ancient Aeldari Empire, and now the soul magics made the plants grow around them... The corridors have high windows and statues of ancient heroes: In the conservatory, the Aeldari grow vegetables and fruit for food. It also reminds them of the nature of their home craftworld. And of their ancestors' real homeworld that was utterly lost after the Fall: The garden is inhabited by Gyrinxes and other animals. The Aeldari grow the seedlings with special lamps: A generator room is placed above the conservatory. Here the control panel for the plasma generator is located. The mechanisms are maintained by a hovering drone: The Aeldari have forgotten how to make these robots, so they do not use them in combat. The generator's roof with a spinning crystal: Let's move to the Soul Shrine. Here is the Chamber of Wisdom where the Warlocks practice their battle magics: The female Warlock levitates without CGI. It appeared this way because of here cloak, and I chose to keep this detail. This room contains all for peaceful rest and thoughts - even tea to drink between practice: You can also go to the balcony to see the bleak landscape of the planet: The Chamber of Khaine is located on the next floor. There the Aeldari God of War is venerated. In this halls, Ynnari warriors keep their weapons and do their training: The Chamber is lit by flames in chalices: The next floor is dedicated to the Chamber of Spirits, the place where Spiritseer Tillmiele comprenends the magic of souls and wraithbone: Tillmiele's table is full with artifacts and has a flask with deceased Aeldari souls: In the Shrine's attic the shuriken weapons are stored: The entire tower above the entrance hall contains Farseer's personal apartments. It is the oldest part of this hideout: The interior has a chair near a stained glass window and a cosy bed: Another stained glass window and an exit to the balcony: The Farseer can look through his telescope at the stars... and at the glooming red scar of Dathedian, the Great Rift that tore apart the Galaxy: Near the large purple window, a table with magic equipment, a Singing Spear holder and Murzinx's dish with a fish are located: The thoughtful Farseer and his Gyrinx: The Farseer studies ancient texts at his desk and stops to pet Murzinx: Above the heads of the Farseer and his high-ranking guest, shelves with potions and scrolls... and the vines can be found: Under the dome a pillar of shining soul energy comes, and around it plants with precious gems grow: The very same phenomenon was observed under the glassy floor. The Farseer cannot explain this magical effect yet. The spire houses a small room with various old artifacts: Here the Farseer stores his previous Singing Spear and a stasis cell with the spirit stone of Myranna - his deceased sister. Let's move to the dungeons. The Soul Shrine contains the library with many texts about magic and Chaos collected by the Farseer himself: The workshop where the Bonesingers repair the jetbikes after battles: Aeldari engineers use unusual tools such as a psytronome which rests on a table: The refectory - the place where Aeldari cook and eat their food: Cells with beds where Aeldari sleep and live: Now, when the tour of the Farseer's base is over, it is time to look at the characters. Let's start with servants of Chaos. The Lord (at center) and two Plague Marines of Death Guard - disgustingy resilient mutants with bone protrusions on their power armor: The Chaos Lord is armed with manreaper scythe, and the Plague Marines are armed with boltguns. One Plague Marine holds a bell - one of Nurlge's symbols. For this MOC, I changed the construction of Space Marines maxifigures from the previous work, and now their arms do not look like sticks. The back view - here you can see how Nurlge's "gifts" change even the power armor backpacks: Noise Marine Nefaros is a maniac who loves to kill with sickening sound waves. The bright colors of his armor and a guitar-shaped sonic weapon are a reference to old 80s Noise Marine miniatures: Nefaros from the back: Plague Marine and Noise Marine are brothers forever! Here you can see that a Plague Marine is taller than a Noise Marine even with his "disco" heels. The blessings of Nurgle make his followers bloated. Chaos Cultists: I had a lot of fun inventing this patchy scum. Their leader is a Tzeentchian psyker so he wields a bird staff. A standard bearer holds a Chaos Star sigil. Ogryn's horned helmet is a reference to old "bone 'ead" Ogryn Imperial Guard sergeants. Chaos Poxwalkers - plague zombies as they are: Lesser daemons of Chaos - Bloodletters of Khorne and Plaguebearers of Nurgle: Now come the Aeldari. Yvraine, the Prophet of Ynnead, the Visarch (it's a title, not a name), her mysterious champion, and Alorynis, her pet Gyrinx: Yvraine wears a dress back from ancient Empire days, and the Visarch is clad in ornate Bel-Anshoc style armor. They appeal to old ways because they want to restore the former glory of Aeldari race with the help of Ynnead who can defeat Slaanesh and Chaos. Yvraine's dress and Visarch's collar are lavishly decorated: Yvraine, the Visarch and Alorynis are the only canon Warhammer 40000 characters mentioned in this topic. I have some units in the form of WH40k miniatures, so I can compare LEGO and Warhammer 40000 versions with each other. Here are two Yvraines and two Alorynises: And two Visarchs: The psykers of craftworld Ermyaris - two Warlocks, the Farseer and the Spiritseer. And, of course, Murzinx - the Farseer's Gyrinx and the descendant of Murzion: Warlocks and the Farseer are armed with Singing Spears and shuriken pistols. The Spiritseer wields a staff and a dagger. Farseers and Murzinxes from LEGO and Warhammer 40000: Spiritseer Tillmiele and her prototype from the tabletop: By the way, she was a student of Spiritseer Salarian who remained loyal to the current ruling Council of Ermyaris. Warlocks - two minifigures and one miniature: Now I have a good explanation why my Aeldari do not wear helmets - in canon many Ynnari do not wear them either. Autarch Skyrunner on her jetbike: She wields a laser lance, and twin shuriken catapults are located beneath the jetbike's hull. Two Autarchs - note that this miniature bike is outdated, so I based the LEGO version on a newer one: Exarch Eyla (at the center) and two Howling Banshees: These female warriors are armed with power swords and shuriken pistols, and the Exarch wields the Executioner power glaive. Banshees from two different worlds: Ranger Moyaz in chameleoline cloak, armed with sniper rifle: With a WH40k Ranger miniature: Guardians are the civilian militia of craftworld Aeldari. Two of them wield shuriken catapults, and other two operate artillery platforms: Guardians from LEGO and the tabletop game: Vaul's Wrath anti-grav artillery platforms with distorting cannons (or D-cannons): They are used as defensive weapons of the base. A platform with its prototype from Warhammer 40000: Drukhari (or Dark Eldar) - an Incubi, an Archon and a Wych: Archon Teniria is a sophisticated person who likes philosophy, so she dresses more gallantly than her edgy brethren. Drukhari Reaver jetbike: The civilians - every base needs maintenance personnel. And, of course, Gyrinxes to catch mice! A bonus frame - an unlucky take or... something more? Thank you for watching and reading! You can see all these photos at my Flickr gallery!
