  1. My Fellow Eurobrickers I’ve been a member of Eurobricks for almost 9 years. That’s 9 years of me rambling on about something I’m building or leaving less than imaginative comments about other people’s. Oh how time flies when you’re having fun. I’ve said many times that Eurobricks is the friendliest place on the ‘net and I stand by that (OK, so stand wasn’t the best choice of words but sit just didn’t sound right ). In my time here I’ve made many good friends and have received a great deal of support and much kindness. One such act of kindness came from Jeroen Ottens who contacted me a few months ago with what can only be described as an extraordinary offer. To design and build a model of my choosing. To say I was blown away is an understatement. As it came completely out of the blue and because for the life of me I couldn’t think what I’d done to warrant such an offer I dismissed it as a hoax but after an exchange of messages Jeroen convinced me the offer was indeed genuine. After a great deal of thought and knowing the enormous amount of time & effort that would be involved, I declined the offer. It was simply too much. Jeroen however, wouldn’t take no for an answer so I decided that this most unexpected offer, so very generous in its giving, could be made to benefit more than just myself so I said yes but on condition that the completed model be auctioned and 100% of the proceeds be given to the Fairy Bricks charity. Jeroen agreed. For those that don’t know, Fairy Bricks is a wonderful charity that raises money to enable them to buy LEGO sets and donate them to children’s hospices and hospitals. You can find out more about them here: www.fairybricks.org All this was several months and many, many emails ago but I’m pleased to say that the design & building of the model is now complete. I think it’s a beautiful build and something Jeroen should be very proud of. The auction is now live Pagani Huayra BC Charity Auction

    Auction!

Bid using this form - whatever you enter would be what you pay! Look at the auctions current prices here! it would be appreciated if you note that you bid on something right here! Auction closes Sunday, 20th May, at 23 GMT If you have vessels to add pm me! All mocced vessels are linked to their MOC - those without links are not mocced! _____________________ it had been a couple days since the ball in King's Harbour, and many of those visiting were still around - or had at least left a representative in the town. In the Harbour, a small Merchant vessel had arrived, showing a white flag. A Corlander guard approached the vessel. "Aye, I'm a ship broker! I've been tasked by various people to sell the vessels they captured and don't have a use for! As I couldn't get the vessels here, I've brought models and information about their location! You'll have to send someone to pick them up. I've heard many pirates promise not to attack those coming to pick up a prize, if, in turn, they weren't attacked either. And thus, a day later, the auction starts. First on the list - The Defiance! Captured carefully by Harrison Torn, she is now sitting together with The Athena on Baskers Island, just waiting to be picked up by the lucky winner! Next up - The Athena, same location, same seller. Terraversa also has something to sell! Their recently captured FTA The Gargoyle! This fine little vessel is located in Trador, just waiting! Now, for the Corries here - you might be glad to hear, the crew of the Lady Jacqueline is doing well! Captain Bluebeard, however, wants to work on his reputation - you get the crew with the ship! Together with the crew of the HMS Proserpine! However, we've heard of a massive fleet protecting the harbour - so don't just sail in to Calisto to pick her up without actually winning her in this auction! HMS Proserpine is also up for auction! Next - ships that have found their way to Tortuga! We have the Tuna King and Cotton Lady - both brought there by LeColeon! Beyond that - this wasn't all in Tortuga! We also have the Supreme here - Montroy brought it there. Lastly, we have a couple vessels where we didn't receive the models in time for the auctions. We wish that these sellers would be faster at this! Misfortune's Wrath - Alexport. Captured and sold by Romantica. Blood and Guts and Butcher - both captured by @Legostone and now located in Bardo! Ship stats for the captured vessels: Ships: Class Range Maneuver Guns Crew Cargo Hull Blood and Guts 4 4 3 4 3 1 3 Butcher 2 4 3 1 3 1 0 Cotton Lady 3 3 3 1 1 6 1 HMS Proserpine 5 5 4 6 4 0 2 Lady Jacqueline 4 4 5 1 1 5 2 Misfortune's Wrath 5 4 4 4 4 1 4 The Defiance 3 4 3 1 1 4 2 Tuna King 3 3 4 1 1 4 2 Supreme 3 3 3 2 1 5 1 The Athena 2 3 2 1 1 3 2 FTA the Gargoyle 3 4 6 0 0 4 1 Bid using this form - whatever you enter would be what you pay! 3. With the Seas swarmed by pirates this month, we have now received a message that they are offering to sell off their captured vessels. We have also heard they are offering to sell the vessels back to the original owners (at 125% license value) - but only for the first 3 days of the auction. The following vessels have been captured and are, starting now, up for auction: Shipname Class Current Owner Previous owner Value Flying Colt 3 Bloody Bill @SilentWolf 200 Hades' Trumpet 5 Gregory Decker Sea Rats 420 HRS Ardent 7 Bloody Bill Oleon 700 HRS Tonnant 8 Bloody Bill Oleon 900 Nerdy Mermaid 3 Bloody Bill @pombe 200 Supreme 3 Gregory Decker ETTC 200 The Aspiration 6 Bloody Bill @Phred 560 Wolf II 4 Gregory Decker Sea Rats 300 Name Class Range Maneuver Firepower Crew Cargo Hull Flying Colt 3 3 2 2 1 4 3 Hades' Trumpet 5 4 4 4 4 1 4 HRS Ardent 7 6 3 8 4 0 6 HRS Tonnant 8 6 3 9 5 0 7 Nerdy Mermaid 3 4 4 0 2 3 2 Supreme 3 3 3 2 1 5 1 The Aspiration 6 4 4 2 2 9 3 Wolf II 4 4 2 4 4 1 3 Well, cool, there is an auction, but what do I do now? View the current bids here, and place your bid using this form (I'm sorry, but this is the easiest solution to not spam the forum too much...) Auction ends at the 7th day of November 617, at 10 pm GMT If you placed bids, I would appreciate you mention it here, but you don't have to. If you want to buy back your vessel just post here. If you want to put another vessel up for sale, just tell me and I'll set it up.
  4. Hello all, Many of you may have come across my father JimH in previous forums related to this topic. If you have read any of his posts, you would understand that I am one of the five winners of Lego Magazine's 14k Solid Gold C-3PO Lego mini figure giveaways from the Spring/Summer of 2007. As I am much older now and will be graduating from college in the Spring, my desire to sell the piece has increased. The revenue generated from selling the figure will help put me in a nicer financial standing as I head off into the real world. I will have my father comment on this thread as proof that I am his son and owner of the C-3PO figure. If you have any questions about the piece itself, estimates to what it is worth, or would like to make an offer on the piece, please do not hesitate to post in this thread or email me directly at -removed- May the force be with you! P.S. I am aware that my father has posted pictures of the figure in the past. Unfortunately, I am currently working as an intern away from home this summer. However, once I am back in a few weeks I plan to post updated pictures of the figure for further proof.
  5. To the citizens of the Brick Seas, the time has once again come to auction off ships! First, I think last time we were a bit spammy, pushing this thread up to the top constantly. I want to change that, so I have prepared a google form and sheet where you can check if your bid went in. If you want to add a ship to the auction just tell me here and I'll quickly add it to the auction (under your terms, you don't have to follow the Eslandolan terms here) View the current bids here PLACE A BID Eslandola puts the following ships up for auction: Shipname Class Current Owner Minimum bid Pinto 4T2 Eslandola 60 Nino Grande 4T2 Eslandola 60 El Pollo 3T2 Eslandola 40 Margert 2T Eslandola 20 Plump Patty 4A Eslandola 60 Tribute 4A Eslandola 60 Long Beard 4A Eslandola 60 Traders Doom 3A Eslandola 50 Little Tyke 1A Eslandola 15 Floating Eyepatch 1WR Eslandola 10 For these ships the following rules apply: Eslandolans pay 80% of their bid, rounded up Marderians pay 1000% of their bid Starting bid is 20% the ships value Only Eslandolans may bid on Warships bigger than 2A sold by Eslandola (not automated, but I'll check the bids) Tomsche is offering the following ships: Nightmare 2A Tomsche 30 Siren's Song 5LA Tomsche 80 Brad the Pirate 3A Tomsche 50 No limits, everyone may bid on these. Once you bid, it is set, if you decide not to pay you'll be excluded from further auctions. If you accidentally bid too much, want to tell others you placed a bid or have any other questions tell me here. Bidding ends with the end of Saturday, March 11th anywhere in the world (so as long as it still the 11th you may continue bidding) Once again, if you want to bid, click here and enter the relevant information. Check the current bid here.
  6. The Seas have calmed down, after vicious Mardieran Raiding and several Kraken attacks. Now is a good time to sell off our completely legitimized captures. RESULTS HERE Up for Auction are the following captured, non-mocced, ships: class name value starting bid current bid bidder 5T Goldilocks 400 80 395 Legostone 5T Merry Merfish 400 80 350 Legostone 5T Tango Kid 400 80 375 Elostirion 3T2 Tuna King 200 40 150 Maxim I 3T2 Ol's Best 200 40 110 Umbra-Manis 1T Light Carrier 50 10 26 Nova Terrelli ESL only 3A Wolf 250 50 110 Capt Wolf Now, the terms for the auction. Bids are public, make as many as you wish, bidding ends with the end of next Saturday, the 28th January, anywhere in the world (if it is still Saturday anywhere you can still bid). Now, as we are Eslandolans, we obviously want to give our own citizens a benefit, so Eslandolans only have to pay 80% of their bid, rounded up. Mardierians pay 10x their bid. It is possible that another ship gets added to the auction over the next week. Starting bid is 20% of the license value. (number in brackets behind the ships) If you win, transfer the DB as soon as possible to Eslandola. If I write a wrong value here you have to correct me as I might not notice.
  7. Citizens of the Brick Seas, The following prizes have now been surveyed and are ready for auction with the following minimum prices (50 % of license value): 4A Sleeping Siren 150 4A Blood Diamond 150 4A Cold Heart 150 4A Catfish Supreme 150 3A Damned Carno 125 3A Onishiit 125 3A Cougar 125 2A Symphony of Destruction 75 2A Winger 75 1A Cpastone 38 1A Unnamed 1 38 2A Unnamed 2 75 2A Unnamed 3 75 2A Unnamed 4 75 (5HA Killing Spree and 2A Cargo Hold have been offered as compensation for lost vessels.) The auction will run as follows: Bid in this thread with the name(s) of the vessel(s) and your maximum bid(s). First bids takes precedence. Do not bid if your bid is lower than the existing maximum. It will not be considered. The deadline is the 5th of July (Anywhere in the world). Winning bidders will be charged as follows: 2/3 chance to be charged the second highest bid/minimum price. Only earlier bids will be considered, so there is no driving prices up. 1/3 change to be charged a random number between second highest bid and maximum bid. This is to avoid people placing unreasonably high bids to deter others from bidding. [*]Bids in edited posts will not be considered! If you edit your post, you will have to resubmit your bid in a new post. Please ask any questions you might have here, and I will try to clarify the rules as necessary. Unsold prizes will be sold through the prize courts and total proceeds will go towards the common prize pools, shared between all captains in the squadrons. Sincerely George Robertson Undersecretary of State

    Auction!

To all those who sail the Brick Seas - Gather round! This month, two infamous pirates (Harrison Torn and Gregory Decker) have been doing "business" on the Brick Seas and captured a couple of trading vessels. But what would a pirate do with a trading vessel? All they want is to get their grubby fingers on a few shiny doubloons. So, they're offering their captured trade vessels for auction. Revenant, 2F Golden Filly, 5F PM me (@Kai NRG) with your highest bid. The highest bidder wins and will have to pay 5 DBs above the second highest bid (or his original bid, if that's less than 5 DBs over second). Once you have bid, drop a note in this thread stating the fact (but, of course, not the quantity). (Failure to comply with either of those two requirements will result in disqualification.) Auction ends May 27th, 12:00 noon, my time zone (GMT -4). You will not have to pay any further licensing fees, unless the ship would put you over the three ship bar. In case of a tie, first bidder wins. Be sure you will have the DBs available before the end of the month. Let the bidding begin!
  9. To all those who sail the Brick Seas - Gather round! As several of you know to your cost, Bloody Bill got some booty this time around! But what would a pirate do with a trading vessel? Bloody Bill will have nothing to do with the peaceful occupation of merchant! All he wants is to get his grubby fingers on a few shiny doubloons. So, he's offering his captured trade vessels for auction. La Raenette, original owner Faladrin, Class 2 F Heart of Eslandia, original owner MCTC, Class 5 T In response to previous feed-back, we're doing this a little differently. PM me (@Kai NRG) with your highest bid. The highest bidder wins and will have to pay 5 DBs above the second highest bid (or his original bid, if that's less than 5 DBs over second). Once you have bid, drop a note in this thread stating the fact (but, of course, not the quantity). (Failure to comply with either of those two requirements will result in disqualification.) Auction ends April 12th, 12:00 noon, my time zone (GMT -3). You will not have to pay any further licensing fees, unless the ship would put you over the three ship bar. In case of a tie, first bidder wins. Be sure you will have the DBs available before the end of the month. Let the bidding begin!
  10. Up for Auction: Class 4A War Brig "War Dwarf", not licensed BIDS starting at 60DB Winning Bid: 60 DB Bregir This Auction goes on until the 13th of March in the year 616. Members of the Factions Eslandola, Corrington and Oleon are allowed to participate. Sea Rats can try to participate too, but their bids won't be taken seriously(except for a deal to no longer attack our convois:D) MAESTRO gets some of the income from this auction(not specified publicly) Quick update specifying something for the game rules: This is a builder to builder sale; whoever gets it has all rights he would've had if he had built the ship. I don't have the right to use it as my own ship anymore. Licenses might be easy to get from Corrington if you ask politely they may be cheaper than directly licensing it:P Hello everyone! I need DBs, and you need some more ships, right? Well, here is the solution! A dock where we can have auctions to sell off ships I don't need - and you can get them. For now we just have one ship up for auction - the War Dwarf. As this is a Warship (a class 4A, currently not licensed, but maybe you can get one of the licenses from the Corringtoners, they have a lot of them in the drydock. Or maybe you just want to prevent them from getting another strong ship which would make them, in your opinion, to strong) I will only offer this ship to Factions who are currently at peace(friendly relations) with us Eslandonians - Sorry, Sea Rats, I don't want another Warship in your hands ;) Okay, back to the story now: Finally! They are there! Took you long enough to arrive here *insert name of messenger of interested members of Corrington* and *insert name of messenger of interested members of Oleon*! Well, at least they didn't start a war while getting here! So, you are here to speak for those interested in this beautiful ship, the War Dwarf? Well then! I'm glad you followed the rules here - I'm glad I don't have to order my guards to kill you because you brought to many weapons! STAND STILL GUARDS! I hope you'll like this ship as much as I do - sadly I need money to get my trade ships back up and running. My good captian, Captain Damian Chetham, will be glad to show you around the ship. If you want to use this ship to defend your convois he would be glad to be at your service, together with his crew, who know this ship well. What are you guys doing back there? I'm trying to sell a ship here! *splashing noise* The War Dwarf is a amazing ship, I'll be glad to show you around! Lets check out the gundeck! You know, I told you before I shouldn't take you with me on this kind of mission. At least you didn't start a war... And you guys are setting up the chest for the auction? Great, once they are done checking the ship, we'll be able to continue quickly! *Seaman in the background talking about the guy who fell into the Harbor* That's one great ship, I'll go as high as I am allowed to go! Same here! So, I see that as you think all of those who sent you here are interested in this ship? Yes, indeed. Hey, stop answering his questions first! I'm sure whoever sent me wants this ship! Hey, can you hold this for a few minutes? Don't dare dropping with it into the Harbor though! Let me pass through! I want this ship too! You told me you were just here to observe an auction! What made you change your mind? I guess you will have to make some space so I'm not standing in your way now and am still able to get my bids in! *annoyed mumbling that they don't want another competitor* GOING! GOING! GONE! You've won a beautiful ship mister! *some time passes, whoever won the ship leaves with it, the Eslandolian members carry away the gangway.* Quick overview over the dock and all the Eslandolian protagonists: And, lastly we have the *insert name of messenger of interested members of Corrington*, his guard, the *insert name of messenger of interested members of Oleon* and his guard. I know this is a rather simplistic build, this was really just about the story - I hope this can still go as a freebuild like this:P If you don't think so tell me please - I have more ideas for this month anyways. This plays in the Docks of Elysabethtown. LET THE BIDDING BEGIN!
