  1. Meet Linus, the Brave Locomotive from Andrew Chatsworth's "The Brave Locomotive" animation on YouTube. I decided to make this 2-4-0 out of LEGO after watching the short over and over, as it's an inspiring tale and very well done animation-wise. (Shout out to Peter, a friend of mine who showed me the short in the first place!) I did make some changes to Linus' design, such as adding a number to his tender and cab. (He's become engine No. 2, in case you were wondering) I also borrowed heavily from the 2019 Disney train and 2010 Toy Story Western Train Chase sets. In fact, the Toy Story loco is engine number 1 on my railroad. The rear of the steamer. (handrail parts and some printed tiles are missing in LDD) Linus' engineer from the animated short, Henry, will be built as well at some point too. (probably by using most of the CMF series 25 train-suit kid figure) The whole train together. Once Linus is built in the real world, he will be added to my Conjunction Junction train, which also has Katy Caboose (from the book 'The Caboose Who Got Loose', and heavily inspired by a @zephyr1934 MOC.) featured as well. Fun fact: This is almost a Disney train - Linus from "The Brave Locomotive" was started by Disney animator Andrew Chatsworth before he got hired, Bill Peet wrote "The Caboose who Got Loose" some years after being let go from Disney, and Conjunction Junction (part of "School House Rock!" educational TV series) was created by ABC, which is now owned by Disney. Thoughts?
  2. This car is owned by Cruella De Vil of "101 Dalmatians" fame in the classic red and black paint-scheme of that animated film... and no, its doesn't fall-apart like in the sequel film, "Patch's London Adventure". (at least, not on purpose!) I built the model by heavily stretching set 40532 - Vintage Taxi by about seven studs. This allowed for me to add in some mechanical details, although it might be a bit too long now. I added a covered spare tire at the rear of the car, and blacked out the back windscreen to give the impression of a fabric convertible top. As an added bonus, the car still seats two figures with room in the trunk for luggage. The whole point of building this car is to give Cruela from the upcoming Disney CMF her iconic vehicle back and complete her "look". I plan on buying this figure as soon as it comes out on April 1st. Thoughts?
  3. This menacing car was inspired by this build which in turn was a modified version of set 70911 - Arctic Roller from the LEGO Batman Movie. This model is owned by Cruella De Vil of "101 Dalmatians" fame in the classic red and black paint-scheme and revised headlights / trunk / taillights. The car can fit one figure in the driver's seat and has space in the opening trunk for a single suitcase. I'm not sure the rumored Cruella CMF fig will fit inside, but even if she doesn't, I'm still gonna build this if / when it's confirmed she's coming. The build is missing four of these spoked wheel covers in flat silver. Yes, I know the wheels are to big: I'm making the best out of a bad situation and this was the only good looking option. The model is about 6 studs wide (with a tiny 1 and a 1/2 stud bit of overhang on each side due to the front fenders) and 28 studs long in total. @RichardGoring This is model I was talking about over in the Disney Properties 2023 thread. Thoughts everyone?
  4. Based on "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" by C.S. Lewis. Enter the brick-built world of Narnia! MOC(s): "Batman: Heart of Ice"

Heart of Ice Batman Animated Series This is the second longer series of creations I’ve made based off an episode from Batman: The Animated Series, the award winning episode “Heart of Ice”. This took significantly longer then Almost Got ‘Im, though that’s totally due to my laziness. Anyways, enjoy the creations that depict the new origins of Mr. Freeze—which we all now can’t live without! 1) Title This is how I will always remember you. Surrounded by winter. Forever young. Forever beautiful. Rest well my love. The monster who took you from me will soon learn that revenge is a dish best served cold... 2) That's Mr. Freeze to You Load those canisters…hurry! Are you done? All set…uhh…ahhh! The Batman! Freeze! That’s Mr. Freeze to you! 3) Nora My God! Yes. It would move me to tears, if I still had tears to shed. 4) Warm Hand to Hold The snow is beautiful, don't you think? Clean, uncompromising... And Cold. Like the swift hand of vengeance. I saw what happened to your wife…I’m sorry. I'm beyond emotions. They've been frozen dead in me. That suit you wear, a result of the coolant? Very good, a detective to the last. I can no longer survive outside a sub-zero environment. Tonight, I mean to pay back the man who ruined my life... our lives. Even if you have to kill everyone in the building to do it? Think of it, Batman. To never again walk on a summer's day with the hot wind in your face and a warm hand to hold. Oh yes, I'd kill for that! 5) Icy Revenge Stop... Please... I beg you! You beg? In my nightmares I see my Nora behind the glass begging to me with frozen eyes. How I've longed to see that look frozen on you! 6) Warm Hand Awaits I failed you. I wish there were another way for me to say it. I cannot. I can only beg your forgiveness, and pray you hear me somehow, someplace... someplace where a warm hand waits for mine. --- Enjoy ~Nemo
  6. By accident I stumbled across Scrat's face from Pixar's animated movie 'Ice Age' while messing around for a different MOC. Fate? Maybe. A reason to complete him? Absolutely! So here he is, in all his disaster provoking glory. Because he retired from film making a while ago and had a good deal of vacation in sunny Hawaii he turned out to be more brown than tan (so not at all because the required parts weren't available in tan, no of course not...) Hope you like him. Instructions & more pics also available @ rebrickable.com And if you want Scrat chasing after the acorn on your desk/mantelpiece/DVD collection or in your kitchen/bedroom/toilet (ok, better not in your toilet), you can get the full set here.

  8. Flameo my fellow Avatar fans, I’m a huge fan of ATLA and I need your help. Recently I have submitted a project on LEGO IDEAS, it's the Spirit Oasis from Avatar: The Last Airbender. As you might know LEGO IDEAS is a website which allows users to submit ideas for Lego products to be turned into potential sets. So If my project reaches 10.000 supporters it may become an official LEGO Product. Many Avatar Fans including me would love to purchase another LEGO ATLA Set since the original sets from 2006 are not available anymore. Check out my project: The Spirit Oasis Project on LEGO IDEAS All you need to do is press the support button and create a free LEGO Account if necessary. Thanks a lot, Every supporter counts!

    Recommend a Movie

Alright, I know we have a "What's the Last Movie You Watched?" topic, but I feel it's a little narrowing in terms of recommending good movies. So basically this forum's for recommending movies to the members of the forum you think deserve their time. Let's leave it at movies just for now, just so we don't get overwhelmed with long running television shows. Also, I think it would be nice to include a brief description to why you recommend the movie. It can be a sentence long, to a multi paragraph piece. As well, no arguments as to whether a films good or not, if you disagree with someone else's suggestion, it generally comes down to personally preference. Feel free to follow up on what movies people recommended if you watched one! My hope this thread will expose members to new films they may not have seen before, and in general help generate awareness for movies that should get more attention than they might not have. Have fun!
  13. I noticed this didn't have a topic, so I made one. Mind blowing, I know.

    MOC: Batman: "Trial"

Trial A recreation of the episode “Trial”, from Batman: The Animated Series. Ah, Trial. This is one of my favorite episodes from Batman the Animated Series. It’s similar to Almost Got 'Im in regards to the villains playing off each other, and I think that’s one of the best parts of the episode(s). I have to say I was a bit nervous building this since I didn’t know if I’d have enough 2x2 Dark tan tiles—turns out I do! With two to spare! Enjoy ~Nemo

    MOC: B:TAS, "Judgment Day"

"Judgment Day" Order in the court! In the matter of the people versus Harvey Dent, how does the prisoner plead? Guilty... Guilty... Guilty... A scene from the episode “Judgment Day” from Batman: The Animated Series recreated in Lego. This is the only scene I’m making from this interesting episode, but I really like how it came out nonetheless. I did takes some artistic liberty in terms of colors, choosing white over dark tan (Which I use too much of already anyways), and It’s not too often I make large statues, but I think Lady Justice turned out well; in particular her sword. The Judge, or Two-Face, is one of the more interesting characters to come out of B:TAS, and I’m happy to finally recreate him in Lego format. The Judge; from Batman the Animated Series. Created as a subconscious superego third personality by Two-Face, the “Judge” acted like a vigilante and attacked villains including Two-Face himself, in attempts to purge Gotham from its crime. Enjoy ~Captain Nemo

    MOC(s): "Almost Got 'Im"

You should know two things about me; first, clearly I like building my own creations as this is one of many I’ve started posting to the Eurobricks community (And many more to come!), and two, more importantly I love Batman: The Animated Series. I think Batman: The Animated Series is arguably the best representation of Batman outside of comics, and I love many of the designs, characters, and episodes of the series. Because of this, I’ve started re-creating episodes of the show in Lego, with the first being my favorite episode, “Almost Got ‘Im” I’ve been posting these on my Flickr over the past few days, but at Eurobricks, you all get them in one big chunk! So enjoy! Click the pictures to see the full Flickr page with extended photo descriptions. More pictures of set pieces can also be found on my photostream. "How We Almost Got 'Im" Joker, Penguin, Two-Face, Killer Croc, and Poison Ivy meet at the Stacked Deck to play cards and talk of the time they came closest to taking out Batman. --- "How Ivy Almost Got 'Im" Poison Ivy tells how she almost killed Batman with exploding pumpkins, only to be foiled by a remote controlled Batmobile. --- "How Two-Face Almost Got 'Im" Two-Face recalls how he almost squashed the Batman with a Giant Penny, but was foiled by his own coin! --- "How Killer Croc Almost Got 'Im" Killer Croc yells out how he almost killed Batman by throwing a rock at him. It was a big rock... --- "How Penguin Almost Got 'Im" The Penguin describes how he almost killed Batman with a large Cassowary, but the bird failed to kill the Bat --- "How Joker Almost Got 'Im" Joker happily tells how just last night he almost killed Batman with a Laugh Electrocution Machine, only for the Dark Knight to be saved by Catwoman. The former who is captured by Harley Quinn and is currently going to be chopped up into Cat-food and sent to Batman--Remember, there's more than one way to get someone! Hahahaha! --- "How Batman Got 'Em" Plot Twist! Batman and the GCPD were holding a sting, and Batman was dressed as Killer Croc just waiting to find out the location of Catwoman from Joker's story. --- "How Harley Almost Got 'Er" If it were not for Batman, Harley Quinn might have chopped Catwoman into Cat-Food! --- "How Catwoman Almost Got 'Im" Thanks for coming after me… I owed you… Well I’d like to think our relationship isn’t just restricted to saving each other from freaks and weirdoes; and that maybe we’d have a place for each other without Gotham, without the freaks, maybe…without masks… …Maybe… (Sirens, Catwoman looks away as Batman glides off) …hummm…almost got ‘Im… Enjoy ~Nemo
