[TRIPLE] D3K's WIP topic
D3K posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Here is my first model for the TRIPLE contest Granted, not particularly original. Features -openable doors -tiltable cab -ackerman steering geometry -inline-4 engine -pneumatic lifting rear axle -pneumatic tipping bed It measures in at roughly 550 pieces in LDD, sans the pneumatic stuff. I could get it below 500 by removing the engine and it's driveline and attachment, if 550 is too many pieces I haven't decided on the two remaining models, but have a couple of ideas that are more original than a simple truck- 24 replies

Doc_Brown posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi Everyone, Here in my entry into the Triple contest. Lifestyle machines! These are a few of the machines we use every single day, in order (usually) that we use them. Treadmill to work out. Washing machine to wash your clothes. Recliner to relax after a hard days work. Functions include rotating tread and adjustable incline, to increase or decrease the intensity of your workout. Functions include lift-able lid, agitator function and realistic on/off switch on the top panel. Motorized recliner function, for carefree effortless relaxing. Many thanks go to Naruto for demonstrating these models. Feel free to comment. Thanks! -
[TRIPLE] Swing Wing Trailer and Tractor.
Saberwing40k posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Behold, my entry for the Triple Challenge! My entry is an 8x4 truck, with HOG steering, an opening hood and canopy, fake V-8, and locking 5th wheel. The truck pulls a trailer based on a Drake 4x8 Swingwing Trailer, with 2x8 dolly. It features adjustable width, like the real thing, suspension, loading ramps, and spare wheels. On the trailer is carried a pick and carry crane, with pneumatic boom lift, extensible boom, articulated steering, and a manual winch. More info about the details will come tomorrow, cause it be midnight where I am.
