    [MOC] Santa's Cottage

It's Christmas Time...Santa's Cottage (on LEGO IDEAS too) It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas and as usual in this period it's time for a Christmas themed creation. This cozy shelter is the home of Santa Claus, who is preparing his world tour for delivering gifts. It's called Santa's Cottage and you can support it on LEGO IDEAS too. If you like the bizarre Santa's Cottage please consider to give it a chance of becoming an actual LEGO IDEAS set. You can shortcut straight to LEGO IDEAS platform using this handy link: https://bit.ly/Santas-Cottage-Norton74 Santa's Cottage features a classic Xmas color scheme, an uncommon shape and an unconventional doors/windows style. The main feature is probably the asymmetrical roof with a very sloping shape to the left. The woodshed is located under the excess roof. The red/white/black color combo is simple but effective, and the snowy trees in the background match well. Last but not least the door and windows are round, a shape rarely spotted on a cottage, but quite common in Hobbit houses. Santa, who is coming home from a relaxing walk, has also a nice off-road vehicle painted with a color scheme matching with the cottage. You can spot it on the right. This is probably my last MOC for this year and I wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

    [MOC] Santa minifig mosaic

Merry Xmas fellow Eurobricks users! Lego Santa minifig mosaic by LEGO_CoNSpiracy, on Flickr I made the mosaic with the aid from Lego Art Remix - but also did a lot of editing of the original image and quite a bit of changing round tiles and plates in the mosaic to other colours after it was built from the Lego Art Remix instructions.

    [MOC] Santa's Cabin

As usual in this period it's time for a Christmas themed creation and this is a cozy shelter for Santa Claus and his reindeer. Speaking of the brand new reindeer it's really cute! The house is a typical A-frame cabin, a kind of cottage I do really like. This is probably my last MOC for this year and I wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! (hoping that it will be better than 2020) Thanks for stopping by! Merry Christmas and happy new year!
  6. I created this and posted it online (mainly in FB groups, here on Eurobricks and Flickr) in December 2018 - based heavily on the old Lego 9493 X Wing Fighter, as that was the most recent X Wing model that I owned at the time...One year later in December 2019, Lego gave a similar looking ''Christmas themed X Wing Fighter'' to their staff as a Christmas gift which looks to be based more on the newer 75218 set. I emailed the Lego company asking if they'd been inspired by my idea and they replied with a polite 'no but we like yours more'... what do you guys think? :DThat Lego staff gift set is now changing hands for big bucks on the 2nd hand market, but at least you can now have instructions for the original for FREE as I've uploaded them onto Rebrickable!A lovely Christmas gift for any Star Wars Lego fan + a great display piece at Christmas to bring some Star Wars love to your living room :)
  7. After a spark of inspiration last month, I immediately halted my project LEGO Astrotrain in favor of this one . And I vowed to complete and publish it before Xmas. So here I am. Can you guess which component/carriage took up most of my building time? You'd be surprised! One fun thing about building LEGO TF is the uncertainties and pleasant suprises along the way. I never intended this bot to have weapons or turn into war machines, but somehow... here's what mid-transformation ended up looking. Building the tree took up disproportionately longer time than the rest of the carriages and train, since the tree conceals the robot hand*. I think I revised the tree design for more than 4 times before I settled down for this one: *the hand is MORE than 2 studs wide no thanks to the protruding finger parts. This makes things much harder , than concealing a hand that's exactly 2 studs wide inside the tree. Despite the size, the Robot mode is fairly articulated and poseable, thanks to the chunky train coaches as legs For more photos, as usual... check out my blog link here: https://alanyuppie.blogspot.com/2019/12/lego-christmas-train-transformer.html And if you got bout 16 minutes to spare....view a vid of this creation in my youtube channel too! You'll get to see how the transformation/merging goes. Merry Christmas everyone ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-trNtnV5j8
  8. Dear everyone, It’s Christmas time again, so there is a new advent calendar from Yooha. This year, we’ll have a mascarade! There is a little story behind it. We have a baby daughter, and we got her a music album, which has a story of a mascarade, where children dress up to every kind of costumes. She doesn’t understand the lyrics of course, but the rhythm calms her somehow and helps her fall asleep. So we heared this album many, many, MANY times! It happens to have 24 songs, so it was obvious to use it for this year’s advent calendar. So be prepared for a fun mascarade, full of little girls and boys in costumes. They won’t be as professional as CMF series 18 costumes, rather then home-made ones. The show starts tomorrow! The other calendar can be found here.
  9. Dear everyone, It’s Christmas time again, so there is a new advent calendar from Yooha. This year, we’ll have a Star Wars one! What..? There is an official SW advent calendar every year! Well yes, but in this calendar, all days will have a festive build or minifig! So be prepared for santa, elves and reindeers from a galaxy far far away. The show starts tomorrow! The other calendar can be found here.

    [MOC] Santa's Home

It's time for Santa Claus to go! Like every year at this time Santa Claus has to get to work, children all over the world are waiting for him. In my latest diorama you can see Santa Claus leaving his red cabin at the North Pole to get on his sleigh pulled by two Huskys. He has a long way to go... I inserted in the diorama a big animal. Can you spot it? This is probably my last MOC for this year and I wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! More info and pictures here. Thanks for stopping by!

    Winter Village diorama 2016

Hi everyone, I'd like to share with you my diorama for this year, It's the first time I've created such a thing and it's been a lot of fun and joy..and some frustration, because I wasn't sure I was going to finish it before Christmas. Luckily, I did. For some reason, I wasn't able to upload the photos here, but here's a link to my flickr album. The quality of the photos could be better, but I still hope you'll enjoy them, Happy Holidays!

It's Christmas time... What if Santa couldn't find his sleigh? I'm sure he'd drive a Vee Dub T2 full of gifts... Merry Christmas to all of you! Andrea Lattanzio | Norton74
  14. Xmas Steam Train by Dmitriy and Anna, on Flickr Metropolitan Street Journal Announcement The week before Christmas our correspondent Helena Kuznetsova has visited N town. According to the old tradition the best spruce is being chosen there and sent to the Metropoly to decorate the main square every year. Specially grown tree was carefully packed and loaded to the flatcar. The mayor Mr. Lebedyansky has personally observed the loading process. As the locomotive the L class 2-10-0 freight steam locomotive was selected. It is the best steam train using modern innovations as boxpok-type wheels and steam dryer pipe covered with casing. Very soon the valuable cargo will be on its way to the Metropoly with the highest speed of 53mph. 15. Christmas is coming! This is perfect time for my Lego X-mas creation. I present the Santa’s Workshop... umm, I mean Santa Emperor Palpatine's Workshop. You have no idea who is he? Go away and come back when you gain some knowledge. Naaa, just kidding. I hope you know this gentleman. Alright, let's cut to the chase. Enjoy the pictures! Read more Bigger photos and full story here: LEGO Gallery - Santa Palpatine's Workshop Follow my new MOCs and articles at: Facebook | Flickr | Google+ --- Notice: This is a shortened version of the post from LEGO Blog - Bricks' Treasure. ------------------- UPDATED: I managed to finish Santa Palpatine Workshop's basement from the last post. I love Star Wars, but I wasn't really into LEGO SW. I think it is changing now. I really enjoyed building Imperial part of this MOC. And I am starting to feel disturbing need of getting more classic Star Wars trilogy minifigs. Read more Bigger photos and full story here: LEGO Gallery - Santa Palpatine's Workshop Upgrade

    [MOC] Christmas Winter Village

Hi everyone. My daughter and I have been working on a Christmas Winter Village MOC. Its based around the Santa's Workshop and the other Winter Village sets. We've also built a large Christmas Tree, a custom Lego Church and a number of smaller features. I hope you like the MOC. If you want to watch the previous 5 updates showing it being built from basic structure, to the working tree lights, to where it is today, click on our Youtube channel link. I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to leave any comments. Thanks, Mike
  17. Last Christmas, I gave you my heart... by SPARKART!, on Flickr: I've been seeing a lot of automobiles around town sporting the Rudolph get-up with red nose and antlers, and thought ye olde Furst Batmobile Microfighter could do that, too. This scene depicts an earlier time in the bittersweet romance between LEGO Batman and Wyldstyle. The song playing on the Bat-radio is Last Christmas; Batman gives Wyldstyle a knowing wink when the refrain, "I'll give it to someone SPECIAL," is sung.

    Christmas Market

Hi everyone, I guess Black Friday is a good day to show you this digital creation. It is a small Christmas Market with some stalls and happy costumers.I hope you'll like it. And an extra picture: I tried to make a more detailed Santa as the official one. (I didn't want to open a topic just for this one picture)
  20. Greetings Ladies and Noblemen! I proudly present the new Guilds of Historica advent calendar! I used to design advent calendars for years, but this is the first case that I learned to use LDD and other rendering software well enough to make my designs look more or less realistic enough. What can you expect now? This calendar will be pretty similar that TLG usually designs. The part count is around as in official sets, and I tried to make the daily builds to fit into those little windows in normal advent calendar sets. But this is a Guilds of Historica advent calendar after all, so it must be based on characters and locations you are used to. I didn’t use any of your sigfigs here, since I wanted to avoid jealousy issues (Why him? Why not me?). I think I could capture every guild’s features. It’s you to decide this. Although this calendar is merely a “concept art” and doesn't exist in real form, I designed it to be a good base for everyone who wants to join GoH, to have at least a few bricks and other things to start in any of the four guilds. Of course because of the brick count restriction you won’t be able to build a huge castle from it. I plan to insert the daily build in this thread into separate posts, so check in if you don’t want to miss the fun! So enough of the chit-chat, let’s see the first one: Day 1 Summary:
  21. Goody day to everyone! Christmas is coming, so I decided to celebrate it with my new advent calendar. I used to design advent calendars for years, but this is the first case that I learned to use LDD and other rendering software well enough to make my designs look more or less realistic enough. This calendar will be pretty similar that TLG usually designs. The part count is around as in real sets, and I tried to make the daily builds to fit into those little windows in normal advent calendar sets. The theme will be “winter in the a small town”. People around December start preparing for Christmas; decorating their homes and attending winter markets. This calendar will be focused on that everyone’s heart is filled with Christmas spirit these day - or at least I hope. It won’t be filled fancy looking and expensive presents, no cops or bandits, just 100% joy and laughter. I will insert the daily build in this thread into separate posts, so don’t forget to drop by! Without any further ado, let’s see the first one: Day 1 "Come right in, we've been waiting for you!" Summary:
