Wooden LEGO Early Toys 1930’s - 1940’s - Question

Eurobricks community, It has been many years since I’ve been active on the forums as I used to be an extreme regular user. Pushed my LEGO collecting days aside years ago and getting back into it. I’m specifically looking for Wooden LEGO early toys from the 1930’s -1940’s - mainly the pull along animals. Is there anyone that specializes or is extremely familiar with this sector of LEGO and the value of each item - give or take condition and model? Also, could someone please give their opinions on the year estimates for these toys and what they are worth in the condition. I’m looking to buy them. Thanks again Eurobricks community. I could not find any threads here, nor pics on Google, of wooden roof trusses so I came up with this design. Many homes have exposed roof trusses, along with commercial and industrial buildings. These particular trusses go in my train engine shed used to service train engines. Although they are not needed for strength they do add a nice architectural design element to the building. Feel free to copy or comment, hope you like!

Wild Western "wooden" railroad steam locomotive storage shed (two tracks)

This railway shed was inspired by Shaun Baseby (or @lightningtiger here on Eurobricks) and his smaller farm shed from 2014. He designed the basic Technic frame on this shed, and I ran with it to create this wooden western-style steam locomotive shed. This shed is 4 1/4 tracks long with a total of 68 studs from back wall to entrance to the building, along with a 10 stud wide entrance for stream locomotives. The shed features a cow skull on the front above the entrance, just to give it that wild west flair. The rear wall of the shed. The roof of the shed is not removable, but it can fold open a bit on clips. With this view you can see how the Technic frame supports the roof. Here is the scene with the three steam locos stationed at the Fort Legoredo area depot The shed will normally hold my 4-6-0 and 4-4-0 steam locomotives, with the smaller 4-2-4 sitting on a third track outside the shed as shown. That's the BTTF time train on the fourth track, in the way back. Comments, Suggestions and Complaints are always welcome! -
Western-style wooden / iron truss bridge (nine tracks long- double tracked railroad trestle)

One of the major problems of using my Eads bridge at shows is it's only one track wide.... so, I devised a western double-track wooden and iron structure using instructions from an old instruction I found on my hard-drive. (Originally from a defunct website / magazine called Railbricks and in a more modern concrete-looking format). This double structure is about 300 less parts than my single track Eads bridge and sits at the same height / length, so it can fit in the same spot. There are no bricks above track level at the beginning of the bridge so it works with even 10 wide trains or curves / switches immediately off the bridge! (This is unlike the Eads bridge, which cannot have turns right after it.) This trestle has about a track and a half of space between bridge end and truss section for an engine to straighten out on. The 10-wide BTTF time train fits easily though the bridge with room to spare! (time train not included in LDD file!) The new trestle is the same height and length as the Eads bridge, but with double the width for 300 less parts. The Eads bridge is also modular in construction, while the new one is not. (Eads bridge not included in LDD file!) LDD file for the wooden bridge (NO time train or Eads bridge in file!) is available at Brick-safe. Comments, Questions and complaints are always welcome! -
My 9th entry into the CCC XIV, for the ‘Ice Castle’ category. Credit for the tree design goes to Legopard. I didn’t really think I was going to do an entry for the castle category this year, but after looking at several wooden castles from various people, I decided to give it a try. I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. The story continues one that Isaac started here. One of the first visits Glorfindel made was to the nearby village of Balkr. Since it was nearby, and the jarl, Torkild, was good friends with Karsten it seemed like a logical starting point. Also for these reasons, Karsten allowed the twins to go with Glorfindel and Dedan. Eryl and Elise were enjoying the little excursion, and Glorfindel was glad to have a chance to spend some time with his nephew and niece. Upon arriving at Balkr, Glorfindel and Dedan were welcomed by jarl Torkild and went into the long house to discuss their news. "Feel free to explore the village, but stay close by, we shouldn't be long," Glorfindel said to the twins. They soon found several village children and a shortly after a vigorous snowball fight was underway. As they had expected, Torkild was quite willing to keep a close eye on the Nocturnus border. In fact, from the look of things in the village, he already had been strengthening the town watch. Upon exiting the hall, Glorfindel was almost hit by a snowball! Laughing, he glanced at the playful kids and saw that one of the village children had just been clobbered by a large snowball. "Sorry to break up the party, but I'm afraid we need to head back to Harburg now." "Alright Uncle Fin," Eryl answered reluctantly, "thanks for playing Toke and Stefan!" Here's my build for the second Archery phase. I continued experimenting with cross braces, and took inspiration for the tower’s gables from Brickvader. As the spring weather causes the snow to thaw, archery drills continue at the range. You can see more pictures here. C&C welcome

This is the 6th module of my large collab with John. You’ll be able to see it in person at Brickfair Virginia 2016. Previous modules: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th. As with the other modules, the building has a full interior. Legopard inspired the cart. I know this is probably a long-shot, but I am very interested in buying a wooden LEGO duck toy like the one below. I would like to find one in very good condition, with most of the original paint and the LEGO decal. An example like the one below would be good for me. If you have one you would like to sell, or you know someone who might be able to help, please let me know. I'm looking for this duck because I recently purchased a photo from eBay that appears to show a child playing with the same exact pull-toy. (See 2nd picture.) It would be nice to have the actual duck to display along with it.

This was a really fun build, that let me try a few new things: mainly the curved roof design, and using the new lavendar leaves. The crane and doors actually work, and the posts of the dock go down into the ‘ice’. There’s a full interior as usual. You can see tutorials for both the lower roof, and curved roof. The city of Daydelon has many warehouses, most are equipped with a crane, and large doors on the second floor for easy unloading of cargo. In the summer, boats are harbored at the dock, but the winters of Mitgardia are so cold, that carts and wagons can be driven on top of the ice. See more pictures on my website, here. EDIT: The title should be: AoM: Store Phase 2: Danyel's Smithy. If a mod could fix that, it'd be great. An entry into the Castle Goes to Space contest on classic-castle. I chose to redesign the set 5890, Squidman's Pitstop, into a medieval blacksmith shop. I'm really pleased with how this turned out, and it was very fun transforming the space details in the set into medieval features. Danyel is a capable blacksmith that never lacks for work at his smithy, and his wares are often sold by his wife in the market at Daydelon. Space set it's based off of: More pictures here: link. This took me one week to build, and I wanted to use it for Inn Phase 3, so I held off on posting here until I could build a Phase 2 MOC. It was inspired by this building in Skyrim: link Anyways I hope you enjoy, this is my favorite build yet The Green Goblet is the largest and most popular inn in Daydelon. Continuing the collab between myself and MKJoshA. I wanted to try another Norse style wooden building, and decided to do a longhouse with belltower. This was my first time using this wall design (which is SNOT tile paneling in between 2x2 round pillars), and I'm quite happy with the effect. As always there's a full interior. After the rather unsuccessful first attempt to try and convince the Great Elk clan and the people of Teridyan to work together during their recent food shortage, Wyndor and Glorfindel traveled to the Longhouse of the Great Elk Clan for one more try. They were still unable to convince the Clan to try and help, and were just preparing to leave the hall when a clansman rushed in. "Sound the bell! There's a dragon attacking the village," he gasped. The men quickly seized their weapons and rushed outside to find a medium sized Frost Dragon approaching the hall itself. Two Teridyan soldiers who had been passing through the village were trying to hold the beast off, but one had already succumbed to its icy breath: The dragon put up a fierce struggle, but the clansmen, Glorfindel, and Wyndor were able to kill it without losing any men. Though, the soldier who had been struck by the beast's breath lost the arm holding his shield to frostbite. Wyndor was first to speak after the dragon finally collapsed, "Well Dain, what do you think now? These Teridyan soldiers just risked their lives to defend your village and people. Surely the Clan can continue to help supply food for the city." "I suppose we might be able to give them a hand, " Dain replied gruffly. "But how will we get enough food for our own village and Teridyan?" "Perhaps you could train some of the men from Teridyan how to hunt and trap," Glorfindel suggested. "Or organize a trade route with some of the cities or clans less affected by this famine. Between Teridyan and the Clan you have many able bodied men to work with, I'm sure something could be arranged." More pictures of the build: Without figs C&C welcome
