  1. http://www.huffingto..._n_5124829.html Great news! It really pleases me to hear they're addressing could-be-better representation of women the first movie arguably had. :3 So, just for fun, what pre-existing LEGO characters would you like to see in the next LEGO Movie? Here are some of my ideas: (More of) Wonder Woman Fabuland Representatives (like Bonnie Bunny, it'll be funny to see whether they 'count' or not) Ann Lee and the Vampyre/Zombie Brides from Monster Fighters CM's Cheerleader and the (for some reason controversial?) Female Scientist Simpsons Representatives Have fun!
  2. Hello fellow Lego lovers Today i present to you my latest MOC Men and Women of Lake-Town, From The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies As Darkness descends Orc's march their way onto the battlefield, the people of Lake-Town robbed by their home must defend themselves... Again! With every Sword, Spear, Shield and Armour they can find they join forces with the Dwarves and Elves to defeat Darkness Lead by Bard they set a mighty charge crushing hundreds of Orcs, The strongest up front, the weak women and children at the back. The Humans have always been and will always be a mighty race. Hundreds of men have fallen that day, victory was upon them but no party was held that day... Here are the pictures of Bard and companions in Battle And a full shot of the MOC And one extra picture: I hope you like it :) Bye lads!
  3. Award winning NZ scientist Siouxsie Wiles wrote a short open letter to TLC on her website: http://sciblogs.co.n...letter-to-lego/ asking if TLC could again address the gender imbalance issues in their products, this time CMFs, and proposes an hitherto unthought of solution. It hit NZ current affairs mag http://www.listener....-are-the-women/ and I wonder if it will spread? My query is - what do you (as an AFOL or PFOL or whatever) think of the idea of two faced minifigs, with female on one side and male on the other? Personally I think if it is restricted to non-licensed themes and just appears in the CMF series then bring it on! But I would feel strange picking up a Batman that could turn into a Batwoman, and I'm not sure how it would work in classic themes like City - surely just a better representation of women (with better facial expressions) would suffice? Edited: A word.
