Original Post Below Well after getting information on the upcoming sets for next year It doesn't look like we'll be getting any more Pirate themed sets. Do you guys think any thing will come out later next year and we haven't heard about it yet or is it truly over again?
So there's been a lot of chatter about whether the beloved Ultra Agents will receive a second wave. If we did get a wave two, what sets would you like to see? Toxic Temple Takedown: set includes Toxikita, x2 new toxic henchmen, x2 new Ultra Agents. Set comes with a futuristic, double-bladed helicopter for the good guys, but the main part of the set is a lime green toxic temple with a river of acid running through, leading to a throne. The weaponry of the temple is four towers with gatling goo guns that can all rotate in unison by turning a knob on the back. Play features include trapdoors, hidden compartment hiding the power crystal, and a prison with a breakout feature. Retail: £49.99 What's your ideas?
Deathleech posted a topic in LEGO Historic ThemesSo now that the sets from the second Hobbit wave have been out for awhile, which is everyone's favorite and why? Personally I am torn. I think Mirkwood Elf Army has some nice figures but the build's not that impressive. Lake-town Chase has a much better build that is more accurate to the film but the figures aren't as good (but they still are very nice). I like that Dol Guldur Ambush has hair and ears for the orcs and Beorn is a nice minifigure, and of course Dol Guldur Battle has some nice minifigs as well with Azog and Radagast, but neither DG set has a great build imo. I think overall I would have to go with Lake-town Chase as my favorite with MEA in a close second. If MEA would of included an armored elf or two I think that would of hands down been my favorite set. Usually I am a huge army builder fan but as it stands MEA just has too many issues; Thranduil is great if you buy the set once but beyond that is redundant and hard to use, the walls are pathetically short, and 3 elven scouts are too many when they are all the same imo. So, what is your guys' favorite wave 2 Hobbit set?
Now that the second LotR wave sets have been out for awhile it got me thinking, what does everyone else think is the best set of the bunch this time around? How does this wave compare to the first LotR wave and the Hobbit wave so far? Personally I am torn. I generally like the bigger sets best because I feel they offer more (and the price reflects it ), but I feel like the smaller sets actually offer a lot this time around too. I definitely liked the first LotR wave the best though, mainly because of Helm's Deep and the accompanying army/wall builder with the Uruk-hai Army. Please note Tower of Orthanc is not on this list for two reasons. First off it seemed like it would hands down be the winner. Second I don't think it is technically part of wave two since it doesn't share the same LotR logo in the top right? So, what is YOUR Favorite?
