    [Blacktron] Space Defense Turret

[Blacktron] Space Defense Turret by Horlack, sur Flickr
  2. Hey guys, I'm starting a smaller project here with the aim of maximum playability. Currently I'm waiting for a huge Pick-A-Brick order to arrive for my New Flyer XD60 project, so I've decided to do a small project in the meantime, especially since I haven't published anything since January. This will be a small and simple ripsaw model equipped with a two-missile turret, using new missile elements from the Robot Inventor set. The model will probably be modular, with the body and chassis largely built modularly and connected together when finished. Currently I have the turret and some of the body built. The turret can also raise and lower, but unfortunately cannot rotate as the BuWizz unit only has 4 ports (and two will be taken by the drive motors). As for the drive motors, I plan to use 4 L motors with one connected to each sprocket, although I might also go with one RC motor per track. Overall, I see this model as an upgrade from my Lime Tracker of 2017, as this one will be driven by the more powerful L motor and feature BuWizz. I think this will be a fun little MOC to drive around. It's nice to build something else after months of work on a single project, and it'll be a great way to pass the time as I wait for parts to arrive for that project. Photos:
  3. AMX turret.lxf I've been working on a model of an AMX 13 105 light tank, and decided to take a break from the hull to work on the turret. The attached file is my LDD progress, because for some reason i prefer working digitally before I start putting stuff together. My first problem is that this turret works by elevating the entire gun carriage, including the autoloader box at the back. My second problem is that this is a small turret. 5x7, so I can't put a motor in there. To help with this, I have a gear in the center that pushes the entire carriage up and down against the side mounts. Now I need to figure out how to put the side mounts on a turntable, so that they can turn. My third problem is that mock mounted on a turn table, I can't find a way to turn the gear to move the turret. Any ideas? Blueprints I'm using: http://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints-depot/tanks/tanks-a/amx-13-105mm-1.png,
  4. I finally got time to take decent pictures of my latest Imperial turbolaser turret. Turbolaser Turret by Veynom, on Flickr It is based from the design of Ismael Trabajo found on the Internet and adapted according to my stock of available parts. Turbolaser Turret by Veynom, on Flickr It is an easy build with solid rendering. It can rotate, guns can move up and down (synchronized). The turret can be open to put in to 3 crewmen inside. Kids have lot of fun with that turret and many rebels died to bring you back these pictures. Turbolaser Turret by Veynom, on Flickr Turbolaser Turret by Veynom, on Flickr And when exposing, it is massive enough to attract the eye while being a welcome change to the usual fleets of ships. Everyone asking for it, I made it public: here is a link toward the LDD of Ismael Trabajo that I used as basis for this MOC. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1vaj7zQ8D8XmhPy3PowN1U9MTxkfBfc1v

  6. Hello SW fans, Wanted to share my Hoth turrets playset. It's inspired by a vintage toys from the early 80s but useful for today dioramas. I tried someting new for the turrets and the radar cannon, hope you like the result. Building instructions are available on my website : Hoth turrets If you want more photos, just ask me ;) and I'll post them here.
  7. Hello everyone, I decided to make a modification to my 2011 Falcon, namely turrets. Do you have any ideas how to do this? What would be the best brick to make transparent "window". I tried 18675pb02 but it is too big in my opinion. So if you have any ideas regarding this, post it here
  8. There have been a couple of projects this year that have been a long time in the making. I have been happy to clean out The Queue over the past couple of months. This is a MOC of the most widely produced tank of all time. The T-54/T-55 series of tanks has its roots connecting back to the T-34 of WWII. This MOC represents the T-55a version, produced from about 1979 onwards. Basically, it means I got to build the AA gun on the top. Much more is at Thirdwigg.com. A video may be found .Features: Working left and right tracks, PF L, 1:1 Turret rotation, infinite rotation Gun elevation Suspension for all ten wheels Removable paneling And the right. The rear. Sorry about the single dark grey tile. The top of the turret. The snot work was fun. The internals. You can see the battery box, the turret mechanism, and the drive motors. The suspension is running down each side.
  9. While preparing the next exhibition, I am building some small modules to place along my Star Wars 12V train layout. Those modules will be integrated into larger layouts. So first, find a couple of small Twin Laser Turrets, that are very effective against flying speeders or fighters. Twin Laser Turrets by Veynom, on Flickr Turrets can rotate and laser can elevate. Part of the design is directly inspired from one of the recent battle packs. Twin Laser Turrets by Veynom, on Flickr Next comes a watchtower made in collaboration with my 11-year son. He had the original idea and first design. I mainly added some details and industrialized the built so that we could build 2 of them. The Watchtower by Veynom, on Flickr Rear view with the ladder: The Watchtower by Veynom, on Flickr Tower top with mounted blaster and light projector. Watching the area by Veynom, on Flickr Those modules are easy to duplicate, relocate and provide a nice immersive feeling to large layout. Comments welcome.

    MOC: Scavenging on scarif

This is my first moc topic here on eurobricks even thought I joined a while ago, I hope I am doing this right also if you want to understand why the resistance exists and isn't just the new republic I recommend the book Bloodline cause episode 7 does a bad job explaining it plus its a great read. 'Astounding, what are the chances of finding a moron stupid enough to think its worth while to kidnap a broken droid ,well about 0.5%' yes I know k-2s0 should be dead and exploded but just ignore that :P
  11. Hello, today I will show you my MOC of the Star Wars Battlefront (I and II) Laser/Beam turret (Anti-Infantry, and small damage to vehicles), used by the Republic and Separatists, Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire. There's 2 Photos of this turret: http://vignette2.wik...=20080811171358 http://vignette4.wik...=20080223032009 I made 2 designs for this turret, because I'm not Sure what is the best of my designs... 12. I've never been satisfied by the turrets in any of the Hoth sets (and there must be half a dozen versions of it by now). They all have the problem of a straight cylinder, when in the movie the turret clearly tapers. I've made a number attempts at building one. Now I think I've finally cracked it. 13. Imperial Autonomous Turbolaser Turret by Veynom, on Flickr Imperial Autonomous Turbolaser Turrets (IATT) are pre-assembled heavily armoured turrets that were quickly mounted nearby important fortifications. The twin-barrelled turbolasers served as heavy anti-capital ship weapons and could also annihilate any ground vehicle at very long range. There were however too slow to reliably target fast starfighters. They could punch through both deflector shields and armour on spaceships with the heaviest defensive layers. Imperial Autonomous Turbolaser Turret by Veynom, on Flickr The IATT did not need to be physically connected to any infrastructure as it contained a small power generator to operate. It also contains inside its basement a small hangar bay with a speeder that an operator could use. Imperial Autonomous Turbolaser Turret by Veynom, on Flickr Imperial Autonomous Turbolaser Turret by Veynom, on Flickr Imperial Autonomous Turbolaser Turret by Veynom, on Flickr Comments welcome on this small variation of my original Imperial Turbolaser Turret from 2013. My son did not want me to completely destroy it and he plays a lot with the new one.
  14. It's Mario season in McDonalds here in Moscow again, and this time they have Bowser! At first I wasn't too pleased, as the evil dragon/turtle has neither hands no legs here, but then I thought that it could be upgraded into a lovely mech. Those two holes on the back were all I needed. Here's what I came up with: The turret rotates! And here's the chassis without the pod. Bonus picture: if you don't like the clown's smile, you can take out two screws from those two holes (they have triangular slots though, and are hidden quite deep) and have this lovely grimace:

    LAHT and Transporter

Hi Sci-Fi forum! This is my first Sci-Fi MOC and my first MOC involving Forced Perspective. The Low-Altitude-Hover-Turret (LAHT) was created by accident. But after the blueprints were leaked, they popped up all over the place; in the hands of mercenaries, in armies, everywhere. They were weapons of massive destruction, with the same amount of firepower as an electromagnetic incendiary. And that's a lot of firepower. When war broke out against the mech thingies (great massive beings that looked somewhat like Bionicles ), these weapons were used to devastating effect, able to vaporise whole city blocks. The MOC: LAHT and Transporter 1 by JoashColbat, on Flickr Close up of the mech thingy. Its a mod of a Bionicles set I can't remember the name of. LAHT and Transporter 2 by JoashColbat, on Flickr The Transporter: LAHT and Transporter 3 by JoashColbat, on Flickr The LAHT itself: LAHT and Transporter 13 by JoashColbat, on Flickr Micro City under attack (aka my absolutely horrendous attempt at forced perspective ): LAHT and Transporter 8 by JoashColbat, on Flickr The LAHT on the Transporter: LAHT and Transporter 10 by JoashColbat, on Flickr The missile launcher has a pretty self-explanatory lock that prevents it from angling up when not necessary. C&C are welcome. More photos on my flickr: JoashColbat
  18. Something from my MOC backlog... This is a variety of stationary turrets, AA, railgun, grenade launcher, etc. Every turret has a camo, such as snow/Arctic camo, desert camo, urban, swamp. The can rotate 360 degrees and most can adjust the angle of firing. ANti-armor and anti-infantry stationary railgun, effective on medium range. Medium ranged rocket launcher, snow camouflage, with laser guided ammunition (note the red dot laser on the side) Anti infantry two barreled turret, snow camo. Laser guided grenade launcher in snow camo. Coastal defense artillery (think Atlantic wall), effective against battleships, classic urban camo. Long ranged, anti-infantry turret, urban camo, high accuracy - sniper turret. Four barreled anti-aircraft gun in snow camo. Double barreled anti-infantry turret in swamp camo. Comments and critiques are welcome

    MOC: Steampunk Tripod Mech

Behold, a blast from ages past! This is the Attatech I! The very first mech created by Attatech for the Great Wars. This model was used in the Siege of Musina as massive artillery units to bombard the vertical city. Manned by a only single semi-unprotected soldier, this model was eventually replaced two years into the war by the Attatech II and then the Attatech III. The only remaining models are held in the Great Cartan Library. This archaic model features three powerful legs, twin cannons on a rotating turret. And here is the open cockpit. Check out my brickshelf (link below) to see more images!
