    [MOC] Kenworth W900

My dear fellow Eurobricks people, finally, again after a too long while, I managed to prepare something edible (I hope ) out of the finest ABS we all love so much. Let me introduce you my take on Kenworth W900... I’m a bit ashamed to admit, that this MOC was finished already in early 2018 and it took me until now, to prepare the photos and a video of it. This was built for our LUG’s 20th exhibition KockeFest, that took place in March 2018. It was the time when LEGO Technic Mack Anthem came out, so the theme of Technic section of the exhibition was, naturally, "container trucks and container handling machinery" in same scale as the Mack. We agreed on slightly longer containers, because, let’s be honest, the one on the Mack is a bit too short… so here it is… This whole eighteen-wheeler is some 108 studs long (87 cm) and 16 studs wide (13 cm), well the wheels might be getting close to 17 studs. The truck alone is about 50 studs (40 cm) long. The size of the containers, we agreed upon, was 15 x 15 x 37 studs (+1 for the door handles so 38 actually) and they represented 20 ft containers. As you can see from the photos, my semi-trailer could carry 2 of them. I used 1 PF L motor for propulsion and PF servo for steering. Another PF L motor was used for remote fifth wheel lock. It could be powered both with standard PF receivers and LEGO AAA battery boxes or with Buwizz. It was all hidden in the cabin’s sleeper. There was another AAA battery box on the trailer to power PF M motor for the trailer supports. Front axle is not suspended, but uses virtual pivot steering instead. It was the only way to make so tight mudguards above them and although steering angle is not the best, I think it did the job fine enough. Due to the bulky setup of servo and virtual pivot steering, I was a bit lazy under the hood, so there is nothing else there. I guess I could mock up some engine, but the way the hood was attached (it can’t be opened), it felt a bit pointless. There is some unrealistic pendular suspension on both rear axles, but I couldn’t do more on such a thin chassis. I used rubber connectors as dampers. Because the chassis is so slim, it slightly twists when throttle is applied. Here’s how this lady looks topless and below the skirt… There are some minor details in and on the the cabin, the sleeper was, as already mentioned, filled with electronics. Since this is a semi, it needs a fifth wheel, of course. It is remotely locked and I totally took the cream off of the brilliant 6x6 Truck with Tipper Semi Trailer by Pipasseyoyo, with great ratchet design for the lock. Ratchet for the fifth wheel lock below the sleeper… Fifth wheel + hitch/tow ball (I hope that’s what it’s called)... The trailer was built with Technic bricks - studs down and was sturdy enough for the two containers. It had its own receiver and battery box to operate the supports. The two tandem axles were damped with rubber connectors and adapted to the ground really well. Please forgive me for not filming the movement of the two . I hope the photos will suffice. Sexy back… Some posing to conclude... ...and a short video of course… Thank you for reading and watching, I hope you like it, Best regards, Miha
  3. Good news, everyone! I'm not sure if this is appropriate to post such meaningless things, but my YT channel "COG in the Machine" has reached 100 subscribers!!! So I've made this trailer for my channel. It features a lot of my old MOCs and some that will be released soon. Enjoy! And Thank you for this achievment!
  4. I'm planning on building a cargo trailer for the upcoming Land Rover Defender! Next, I might plan on building the drawbar.
  5. It's Uwe's creation. The way the functions are incorporated in the main truck is amazing! HOG steering behind cabin, another HOG for cabin tilting linked with overhead deck lifting. And the B model is bloody hell gorgeous. It got me saying OMG I HAVE TO HAVE THIS upon seeing A-model functions: - Truck V6 - Truck Cabin tiliting linked with cabin overhead deck lifting to reveal V6 - Truck HOG steering behind the cabin - Truck lowering second deck - Truck elastic return-to-defaulr car locking cranks that go through rubber 2-stud liftarms on the passenger side - Truck opening doors - Trailer lowering rear ramps - Trailer lowering overhead deck - Trailer lowering front ramps so that car can drive on truck's lowered second deck. - Car HOG steering in the back - Car V8 Car doesn't have opening doors. The trailer doesn't have standing legs. Truck uses 6 Mack wheels. Trailer uses 4 wheels from 8109. Car uses 4 wheels from Corvette. UW logo on the truck's front grille. B model consists of: - 1 big truck with flatbed, using 4 Mack wheels - 1 trailer using 2 Mack wheels - 1 show car using 4 Corvette wheels. This car has a Funny Car (42050 Drag Racer) vibe. It has exposed front V6 and a supercharger on top. - 1 show truck using 4 wheels from 8109. It looks like a boxy fire truck. The rear compartment can be open upward to reveal a V8. The flatbed truck houses the show car, while the trailer houses the show truck. The colors are swapped. The show car is completely in red and uses the red small wheel arches from the truck in the A model. Meanwhile, the flatbed truck is in dark azure, LBG, and DBG, and uses all the dark azure of the sport car in the A model. B-model functions as visible: - Big Truck lowering flatbed - Big Truck HOV - Show Car V6 - Show Truck HOG - Show Truck opening rear deck (like 42070 B) - Show Truck V8 - Trailer standing legs - Trailer lowering flatbed. Parts in new color: - 5x11 tapered panel in RED - Corvette wheel arch in RED and DARK AZURE (42070 color) Rare parts: - 2x11x3 Steering Knuckle Arm (33299) in RED - 3x7 shell in RED (first appearance in 42082) - 2x5 panels in DARK AZURE (appears in 42083 and 42095) - 3x11 shell in DARK AZURE (appears in 42083 and 42077) - 5x7 panels in LBG (first and only appearance in 7160 Bionicle Drop Ship) I spot two gear racks in red holders.

  7. Hello everyone! Looking at the presented modes over the Internet have found that this set fantastically fits into the golden scale for the small-medium models like 8109, 42008, 42024 and may other trucks including the MOCs. As there is a big topic for Mack Anthem modifications (42078 Mack Anthem Mods and improvements), here my point is to present the compatible cargo attachments like trailers, semitrailers, and other possible variations. (@moderators - please feel free to merge with the main topic if you still think that this way doesn't deserve the dedicated topic). American-style semitrailer with sliding tandem (dry van) Is coming... Drawbar trailer (2-axles) with turnable front axle (dry van, double-sided gates) Is coming... _______________________________________________ Converter Dolly (1 axle) First things first, even the smallest ones. While I'm still working on the biggest ones I'm glad to present some kindly unusual thing: A-dolly or converter dolly trailer that is usually used to turn semitrailers to normal trailers making them being able to be towed by normal trucks (not semi-trucks). This thing is made of Mack's rear end with the rear axle (not driven now) and fifth wheel and is equipped with a pair of wheel chock, a static A-shape drawbar (I very proud of it, really!) and removable stand support: LDD file is available: https://bricksafe.com/files/Void_s/42078/dolly/MOC - A-Trailer Dolly 1-axle.lxf (I know, it's not a fair coupling - just demonstration of how it could be done) one degree of freedom - fifth wheel fixed axle (no suspension) fixed A-shape drawbar removable stand support wheel chocks The source of inspiration was GreatDane's real-life converter dolly: Off course, it's not a full-size and large trailer so far but I found it highly required for the further road trains like for some Australian or newly appeared eurocombi coupling: normal cargo truck + semitrailer attached as a trailer using tow hitch. Moreover, this simplest thing should be capable to work with only up to 24T semitrailers (one axle, yeah) so I'm about to finish the elder brother: 2-axle A-dolly with some tasty function

    [MOC] Hybrid Truck

Hello, It is my own Hybrid Truck creation, which is called hybrid because it combines standard LEGO elements with a DUPLO car base. It is built from my kids' sets, and I tried to combine these elements just for fun, but I was very satisfied with the result. It is a studless, conventional cab tractor with a car trailer for Speed Champions size cars, but other type of trailers could be used too. It can be combined with my other MOC "Hypercar concept 1". If you like this truck, please share and support the it on LEGO IDEAS: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/ae7ae4f3-18b3-48bc-a169-d3b3be8c6094 Many thanks! 9. Hi everyone, This is a new project I am/was working on. I build an trailer capable to load high objects. For now it’s finished but I am not that pleased with the looks. In Dutch it’s called a “Binnenlader” as far as I know in English it “Innerloader”. It’s used to transport high objects like prefabbed walls. Some transporters use this kind of trailer to have 2 loading floors (Double Deck Trailers). The bottom of the trailer is very low to the ground. The trailer can be loaded by crane but it is also possible to load a carrier that can be load- and unloaded by the trailer. The carrier can be separated from the trailer. This is done by lowering the trailer, open the tailgate, and drive forward leaving the carrier standing. by My model automatically opens and closes the back door when the trailer is moving down or upwards. Don’t think is done with a real trailer but I wanted to make it remote controlled with as less motors possible. I was able to only use 1 motor. Have a look at the video and photo's:. http://youtu.be/D-oJ6EqskxQ
  10. Youtube Link Under the command of Captain Jonathan Archer, the NX-01 crew answers an urgent distress call only to quickly find themselves deep over their heads on a planet without any land mass. A Pritchard Studios Production. For more information, and to follow the progress of the film, see here. For some time I've been developing the idea for a Star Trek fanfilm. It's finally to the stage where I have something to show off! While the teaser here is entirely CG, the film itself will be mostly stop-motion, with effects shots and scenes of the ship rendered in Blender.
  11. I like to present you my Lego town Steinbruck. The name is from Stein=brick & bruck(old German)=bridge. This is my current layout: My MOC and MOD buildings (more detail pictures in the albums; just click the pictures to get there): I'm planning a car wash for the Service Station and will build it in the next months. I also build digital, but can't afford all of them to build with bricks. Click to album.
  12. maybe we can make, like the axle collectors thread, a collection of trailer coupling systems. to make a base i have made a semitrailer coupling for semitrailers with steering. lxf please post your own ideas for trailers and semitrailers for giving ideas look this vid

    [MOC] Tractor Trailer

Throughout 2017 I designed and built this massive 3000+ piece tractor trailer. This is by far my largest MOC and definitely my best work yet. This is not a recreation of any specific real life truck nor is it built to a set scale. Although the cab is mostly system bricks on the outside, the frame is largely Technic and the trailer is almost entirely Technic. Inspiration was drawn from Lego Technic 8285 and 42009 and Lego Creator 6753. I do have LDD files of both the truck and trailer. Feel free to leave a comment on what you think of my truck and any suggestions for improvement! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLowjdwrGcU For all photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/162858504@N05/with/28224805797/

  16. Hello Over the past couple of months I have been enjoying building 42054 - what a great little set. Once I'd finished it, I wet about MODing the appearance somewhat, and have ended up with two different set-ups. Descriptions and photos below (hopefully the pics aren't too big, but apologies in advance to the mods if I've messed it up yet again...) Configuration 1 - 8-wheels with stock silage plough & cosmetic modifications Apart from the obvious addition of four extra wheels, I also modified the bodywork as follows: - Altered wheel hubs (apologies, I can't remember who did this white/red mod to the Claas wheels originally, think there's videos on Youtube but if that person is a member EB then thanks to you.) - More rounded fenders/mudguards, both front and back. - Exhaust with chrome parts and decals. - Windscreen wiper to deal with any flying 'muck' - see Configuration 2 below... - Chrome filler cap. - Additional spotlights at the front. - Slight change to roof detail including aerial/additional red hazard lights to rear. - Improved step ladder. - Additional warning decals at front. So, nothing very revolutionary or technically interesting, but I enjoyed making the changes and personally I think the mudguards look better than the stock versions. I did build the crane first but didn't like how bulky it was compared to the tractor, so I ended up with the stock 'B model' () silage plough. I took it outside for some photos: Configuration 2 - 4-wheels with slurry tank trailer & cosmetic modifications I then removed the plough and the extra wheels, and set about creating my first-ever MOC. I was inspired, first generally by the amazing work on 42054 of @BrickbyBrickTechnic, and secondly by one of these - single-axle slurry tank trailers: My tank includes: - Dual slurry pipes and sprayers, for the sprayin' of that muck. - Third wheel for stabilisation when disconnected from tractor (can be released by partly pulling out the axle with stop & red bush). - Custom decals. - Fake on/off switch for slurry pump. - Full set of hazard notices and warning lights, plus chains on the hitch. - Black cover can be easily slid back by removing a couple of securing axles. For when it's time to blast-clean the old muck, before re-filling with fresh muck. I absolutely acknowledge that my MOC is only an approximation of the above, rather than a replica (in particular, using the available spare pieces at my disposal, I wasn't able to recreate the cylindrical shape of the tank). It also doesn't use particularly great building techniques and hasn't got decent functions. However my aim was to create something for my Claas to tow that looked quite nice, and also to complete my first ever actual proper MOC (one previous failed attempt notwithstanding). By these criteria, I achieved something of which I'm happy. I'd love to hear your opinions, but I realise that it isn't up to much, so no worries if you don't have an opinion on any of this, one way or the other.... I also added some headlight effects, again influenced by @BrickbyBrickTechnic's past work on the Claas:
  17. Perhaps the new theme park needs a better transport which can maneuver in the city, right? Based on my previous truck design, I did this for moving the raptors. The tractor section has a turret that can be used for any emergency cases like dinosaur escape, and now raptor transport can go through the city without problem! Hope you enjoy this :) thanks!

  20. Hey everyone, not a huge city builder, but thought I'd share a few small MOCs I gone and done: - minifig playable vintage Mini Cooper - old model Actros with long heavy haul trailer - good ol' backhoe I wanted a playable mini for my family minifigs, although in my quest for playability, fitting two minifigs in parallel and aesthetics, I made it a bit big, I will try out a 4 wide minifig version soon front rear front engine interior and functions I'm mainly a castle and space builder, but something needs to deliver all those castle wall stones and spacefaring engines! I tried ot make the front in the older Actros style, with engine playability and sleepability on the interior front interior with bed engine trailer hauling the Medieval Market Village And finally a simple backhoe to terraform the ground for the castle buildings and spaceports, for some reason I feel like the official Lego backhoes never get it quite right... front rear in action
  21. Hi! Finally, I present to you my dump trailer for Claas Xerion 5000 Trac VC, which I've built quite a long time ago and teased you with in this topic. My intention was to model a really cool looking trailer Krampe HP30 - a 3 axle offroad heavy haul trailer, which goes perfectly to Claas Xerion 5000 set. I didn't actually scale it, but scetches/blueprints on the official site were of good use. As you can see on the photo below, I made a fake front cylinder, which unfortunately doesn't exist in LEGO Technic, so I had to cheat and used a pulley system to lift this huge red bathtub. String drum located on the front of the trailer is rotated by rear PTO of the tractor. I used the fantastic Efferman's motorized remake, but an OOB 42054 model could run it too. The trailer is steered as well - BUT! - Shamefully, I've realized 1st and 3rd axle should be steered and not 2nd and 3rd like I built it. And that happened just an hour ago while editing the video! Oh well, I will have to put more effort in research next time Somehow, I missed the video explaining the steering part on YT. Steering is modelled by levers and works according to the angle between the tractor and the trailer. The 3rd axle has larger steering angle than the 2nd. As you can imagine, it has some play in it... All three axles are suspended (normal springs for 1st and 2nd axle, hard springs for the 3rd.) - I borrowed and altered axle designs from MB Arocs set. Tailgate raises automatically and is locked when the dumper is lowered. Here are some details, to make the trailer more juicy . ...and the underbelly - for those eager Technic fans, who can't do without . For the end, here's one with a little breeze and a video of course. I hope you enjoy it! You can find more photos here. Partlist and instructions here. Thank you for your attention and constructive criticism! Best regards, Miha
  22. For my first brickfilm I decided to do a shot-for-shot recreation of the trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, coming out this September. It's not the best video I've done, but I'm hoping to make higher-quality brickfilms in the future as I continue to practice animating. Any comments or criticism would be greatly appreciated.
  23. INSTRUCTIONS: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3juzujlb27fqpgw/remorque_5571.rar?dl=0 I have been looking for a 5571 at the right price for a long time, and i finally found one. I have also been collecting parts for the trailer pictured above. To my knowledge, and according to my source of the instructions, nobody has ever built this trailer before. In this thread I will share my progress on building them both. After waiting over a month for my 5571 to arrive from Germany to the US, it finally came yesterday: I found the instructions for the trailer here: http://www.eurobrick...1 Unfortunately the post is several years old, but I messaged the original poster and I was lucky enough for him to respond with the instructions! The trailer is going to be huge, and requires 1628 parts, with 122 unique parts/colors. The instructions I was sent were actually a series of images, and I had to try and find all the correct part numbers on rebrickable before placing my orders. This was a long task and it took quite some time: After much time manipulating different inventories from sellers on bricklink, I placed all my orders and parts have started to arrive! The 1x2 tiles with the grille pattern seem to be pretty rare. They only came in one set many years ago, and I got very lucky finding sellers with enough of them when I placed my orders. I think I am now the only person with 18 of them. I am waiting on 3 more orders before I get started on the build. I will keep this post updated

    BATCAVE INVASION Trailer

The Joker (Lego Batman Movie Version) and his super villain squad invade Batman's Batcave. Batman must form his own super hero squad from members of the Justice League to help ward off the threat! The trailer for an upcoming stopmotion animation I've been working on for the past two and a half weeks. I finished the final cut at around 7-8 yesterday and whipped up this small preview. I will be releasing this on my studio's YouTube channel (the same one you are watching the trailer on) on the 18th (Tuesday) so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss it! Thanks for watching!
