  2. Today I started my next project, a model of the new T-70 x wing from star wars. I think I have the back wings figured out, here is a concept for it. Colours not final obviously. I'll continue to add to this thread as I make more progress. I decided on light gray for this. White just looks out of place to me and it doesn't appear that way even some of the time as the T-65 did depending on lighting. The wings (at least from my limited reference) are also seeming to be slightly thicker on the new ship, so I went with a snot design instead of 2 plates thick. I think that curve arch piece is the only really sufficient way to capture the curve of the wingtip with fidelity so I based the design on mounting each laser on each wing with those piece. Next, I'll tackle the front wings and engine assembly, maybe the rear fuselage.

    T-70 X-WING

This is a MOC of the T-70 X-Wing from the Resistance, in both Poe Dameron's Black Leader (black and orange) and the generic fighter version (blue and grey). This MOC has been inspired not only on one but by several others creations i've found on the internet. Though i've combined several elements from these builds, most of the design is mine. Anyone willing to build this MOC or to know more about it please contact me through the comments. The main pages about this MOC are on the following links: https://bricksafe.com/pages/marcanadell4/t-70-x-wing I might post other low-resolution images in the replies. The Stud.io rendered images are can be seen and downloaded on the links that I've given in the description.
  4. Hi guys Yes, another small MOC and yes, it is from Star Wars Episode VII - The e Force Awakens. It shows the beginning of the movie, the First Order attack Tuanul on Jakku. 5. Hey guys, here is another small vignette from Star Wars Episode VII - The Force Awakens. It shows the attack on Takodana. Incom-FreiTek T-70 X-Wing

Adaptation of my Incom T-65B X-Wing model. Features the same geared S-Foil mechanism, working landing gear and opening canopy. LDD does not yet have parts from the Force Awakens sets, so I substituted an R2 astromech and Rebel pilot for now. Will post pics of real model once I've collected the parts.
  7. Hello I've been gradually working through a backlog of unofficial Microfighter builds and after a few attempts, finally got a result with the Resistance Transport from Episode 7. I will admit some inspiration to have a go at this from the version in the Lego TFA game but I didn't really study it in detail. Anyway here it is - nice to build something for the good guys after a string of Imperial and First Order builds. Its 13 studs wide and about 10 long including the cannons. 133 pieces which is a little high but many of those are small plates and studs. I was pretty pleased to be get an opening hatch in the front... ...though its probably a bit cramped in there. Colour scheme matches the Resistance X-Wing quite nicely and its a solid and swooshable little ship. Lots of engines. That's about it - you'd think the pilot would be a bit happier with it. Thanks for taking a look!

    Rathtar

Although its a scene that often takes much of the punches in people's criticism of the Force Awakens, I for one really enjoy the scenes that take place on Han Solo's freighter the Ervana.I especially love the sploodgy squishy squid creatures with immense maws of teeth. We all know it. The velociraptor equivalent of the Sarlacc (which now that I think about it is absolutely horrifying!) the RATHTAR. We will be getting a set of this scene but reportedly we will not be getting a Mold of a Rathtar, think Dr. Strange's set. While I hope this is proven wrong I decided to build my own! Nothing too fancy just quick and dirty that I built in fifteen minutes. But wait there's more! You can build your own! I used these instructions for a basic Lowell Sphere from the artist's website: Bruce Lowell Just add tentacles, eyes, and teeth!

    [MOC] Rathtar Escape

Full disclosure: I built this last spring and it never quite looked right to me, however I *knew* there would eventually be a real Lego kit for this scene. There had to be. Watching the movie in the theatre for the first time, it seemed obvious. Seems like rathtars were going to be the "weird beast" of episode 7 and there's no way Lego would overlook this. So I threw together this sketch model version of this scene as a placeholder in my collection under the real one came along. Having finally viewed the prelim box an hour ago I was pleased to see the differences and similarities in my own model. But... my rathtar is homely. I know this! Just using bits of red lying about that I didn't have plans for. Hopefully the real one(s)! in the new kit are big enough to eat minifigs. Although we got a preview of a sweet looking mould from the Lego Video Game, it appears as though this summer's official kit (75180) will have brick built rathtars. Hopefully it looks right. The great news is we are getting two of them. Opinions and crits on this build welcome. Here's the look/feel of the playset. I did at one point have a middle piece with a 8x8 grilled floor on top of some macaroni pieces but I had to raid/scuttle it for another build. It was to be the bit where Finn and Rey go into the crawlspace. Bala-Tik and the Guavian Death Troopers! The hatch is closed behind them. Can't recall where I raided his head - something from Lone Ranger, I think. Top view with a flash gives some more detail of the rathtar tentacles and some of the piping inside the Eravana. Would love to build a System scale Eravana someday.... hmmm. I know there isn't quite this much yellow in the Eravana but I had a lot of useless yellow pieces that I felt could work here. Bala-tik custom, stand-in Guavian Death Troopers with old Han and Chewie. Of course I'm using the old school red space helmets... I was thinking of adding the dot in the middle of the face but the real thing will be here soon enough. It's very nice to have minifigs stand-ins where you can. Rathtar coming down the hallway. If I really believed in this build I would have made one of the enclosures for the beats. King Prawna would be so disappointed to receive only one! Messing around with these macaroni pieces with the curved wall pieces - I was surprised to see that they fit together so well! Close up of the rathtar's mouth. Rathtar side view. Stand-in Guavian won't fit in the rathtar's mouth. "Tell that to Kanjiklub, etc."
  11. Yup, it's happening! So first, WB Interactive Entertainment said they will be "making a massive announcement" tomorrow that "includes two of the world's most popular entertainment brands", as seen here: http://www.neogaf.co...d.php?t=1178484 But here is the REAL proof. Amazon Italy puts this up early: http://www.amazon.it...intenevery05-21 The description says (translated with Google): "*The Force is strong here … The best-selling LEGO video game franchise returns with a journey full of action and humor based on the hit movie of Star Wars *LEGO Star Wars: The Awakening of the Force, players relive the action of the movie Star Wars: The Awakening of the Force, told through the lens of intelligent and witty LEGO *LEGO Star Wars: The Awakening of the Force also introduces Multi-buildings and Battles with the Blaster gaming universe LEGO The best-selling LEGO video game franchise makes its triumphant return with a journey full of action and humor based on the blockbuster movie. Thanks go to Brick Inquirer for pointing this listing out: http://brickinquirer...ced-on-tuesday/ So we were probably right in saying that the Finn polybag is a pre-order bonus for an Episode VII game... It also says the release date is May 31st. Could be a placeholder date, though.
  12. Okay,i got the Idea for a Thread like this after playing Lego SW TFA on my Computer.I noticed that there are many different Objects,Decorations,Ships,Speeders and Bits and Bites that aren`t part of an official Set. It`s kinda the Counterpart for the "Assembling Bricksburg",hence the Thread Title. No matter if you have the Game or not,you can contribute to this Thread by leaving a Comment or help to "deconstruct" some of the ingame Models. As i mentioned, the Game has various Ships and other Things which aren`t in a Set. Wanna see a few Examples? How about these little Microfighters like Rey`s Mini Speeder or the Guavian Fighter: Forgot what this Thing was supposed to be,but i like it: How about Darth Vaders new Ride?Isn`t it pretty? I also made the Transporter from the Rebel Hangar:

    MOC: Starkiller Base Forest Duel

I have created a MOC of the iconic forest duel on Starkiller base from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This is a freebuild, so not everything is perfect and there should definetly be more trees but I think it came out nicely nonetheless. Now, my favorite part of the moc and why it took me so long to create. Video : https://www.flickr.com/photos/104099903@N07/29322290790/in/dateposted-public/ Thank you for viewing! Questions, comments, criticisms welcome.
  14. Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum, me and one of my friends have recently started a youtube channel called Star Wars BASH and we talk all things Star Wars. One thing we have recently started is building and reviewing the Star Wars lego sets, we have filmed a few more but i'm yet to edit them. The first one we have done though is Rey's Speeder from The force Awakens. Here's a quick video, let us know what you think.
  15. I've started a comic based on the events post-Episode VII. It's a comedy, but some strips will be quite serious. I'll try and update on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but as life can get hectic, I may miss some updates. http://thebrickawakens.webcomic.ws/ Comments and Criticism is welcome. Thanks.
  16. Maze: Escape From Jakku by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr BB-8 has been given part of a map that leads to Luke Skywalker and it is now up to him to deliver it to the Resistance! Play as BB-8 as you roll through the deserts of the junkyard planet Jakku and escape the clutches of the First Order. But watch out for patches of quicksand or you'll drown! You start at Tuanul village which is under attack by the First Order. Navigate through the Graveyard of Giants past a crashed Star Destroyer. Meet up with Rey at her AT-AT home, travel past a crashed X-Wing and some other wreckage, and enter Niima Outpost where you meet Finn and escape in the garbage Millennium Falcon! The LDD file can be downloaded here: Jakku maze.lxf UPDATE: It has been pointed out to me that the maze ball needs a space of 5 plates high to fit through instead of the 4-plates high space that I used, so here is a modified version of the maze to accommodate that. I lifted up the AT-AT, Millennium Falcon, outpost entrance, and outpost building by one plate each. Here is the updated LXF: Jakku maze fix1.lxf Please leave your thoughts below and may the force be with you!
  17. First off, thanks for checking out my build! This MOC originally involved a few mini-scale resistance X-Wings on display, but then I encountered Jason Allemann's (JK Brickworks)'s video on his kinetic sculpture of Sisyphus endlessly pushing the boulder up the mountain. This is where my inspiration to make a moving vignette came from. The terrain on the top of the gear box is supposed to represent any number of desert planets you want it to be, most likely Jakku though. ;) Anyways, three's a link to a video of the thing in action right below the first picture, the font is huge you can't miss it. Once again, thanks for checking this out! [WIP] Rey's Speeder

This is my large-scale model of Rey's Speeder. It's currently a work-in-progress, built to the scale of the Constraction figure, and is about 64 studs long. I decided to build it because I realised that a speeder at minifig scale is never going to look right - because the minifigs aren't scaled right! If you make it to scale with the minifig height, then the width and head size of the minifig will look too big. Equally, if you scale it to the size of the head, then the minifig will look too short. Plus, of course, the minifig can't 'ride' it. So I decided to do a large-scale version instead. I've been working on it for about three months now. I wasn't originally going to show this until it was finished, as I wanted people's first sight of it to be the finished model, but I thought I'd show it off now because it won't actually be finished until late summer. I still need to replace all the white with Dark Orange parts, and also use some Dark Orange to cover the parts that are still exposed. I also need to do a net for the side of it, and make the foot-stands for Rey's feet to rest on. I haven't done a proper piece count yet, but it's easily in excess of 2000 pieces. The main thing is pretty solid, and also pretty heavy! So here's where I'm up to:
  19. Just a small vignette ;) Can't wait to see the next Episode and Rogue One!
  20. Hello, this is my Review of the new Lego Star Wars Set "Resistance Troop Transporter" (75140). Images of this "second wave"-set you can find right here. The Review is in German, this time. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me at any time. May the force be with you Andres

    [MOC][LDD] Resistance X-Wing Fighter

Time for a creation I am very proud of - the Resistance X-Wing from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The goal of this moc was to replicate it as faithfully as possible and still have some functionality. With that in mind, enjoy my rendition of the Resistance X-Wing! The wings and gear each move, as well as I could have hoped. One of my favourite angles. Note the targeting computer - I have no reason to assume that the X-Wings still carry these, but I added it nontheless! I built a display stand, for the hopeful day I might assemble this with real bricks. If you want to see more check out my photostream over at flickr! Thanks for taking a look! https://www.flickr.c.../116856256@N06/

But, I'd love to hear what y'all think and your thoughts on how I can make this better. Mainly, I'm struggling with the weight and sturdiness of the wings. I'm also not happy with the front section's slope or the gaps in the front of the engine. Regardless, I hope y'all like it and kudos to thehornedrat for beating me to the punch
  23. Here is my take on a Incom T-70 X-wing fighter from the Force Awakens in a micro(ish) scale, here in Poe Damerons colours I thought LEGO's original version (30278) was a bit low on details, so decided to try a version of my own... I know there are still details that are not completely correct (like the halfmoon engine intakes), but there are several limitations working with micro scales. And I'm far from being an expert. Actually I'm a beginner... But anyway, I hope you like it. I'm actually quite happy with the result myself Incom T-70 X-wing 2 by Kenneth, on Flickr Incom T-70 X-wing 3 by Kenneth, on Flickr
