  1. Here is one of Thomas the Tank Engine's best friends, Bertie the bus, as seen in The Railway Series books and the original Thomas and Friends TV show. You can see LEGO Thomas and his fellow engines and some rolling stock over in my thread in the Train Tech sub-forum. Thomas and Bertie once had a a race, and they both want a rematch, but I don't think they ever will... do you? This model's front end was inspired by 2019 Harry Potter set 75957 (The Knight Bus) and the rear portion by the bus in the 2017 set 10259. (Winter Village Station) The side door opens, and Bertie seats one driver and two passengers (three figures overall). The rear of the friendly bus. You can see the read about the original book version of him here and the TV show here, both on the Thomas and Friends wiki. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
  2. (Moderators: I put this in Town, because at it's heart, this is a simple MOD of a Town set, and looks like a completely normal bus anyway. If it went to licensed, it would be out of place. Just a thought!) I tried using the upcoming Moving Truck (set 40586) girft with purchase to make the Magic School Bus from the TV show / books of the same name, as I loved them as a kid. Credit is also due to @R0Sch for his recreation of set 40586 for the inspiration to do this... without his clear rendered pictures, I would have never though of doing this. You can see his fantastic recreation in the discussion topic about the GWP. ...and now as Ms. Frizzle always says: "To the BUS!" I had to lessen the amount of windows by one row, and I removed the rear emergency exit door for simplicity. Speaking of doors, I wish LEGO had a smaller, doubled version of the size of door I currently am using. (like the new bigger 1x6x6 version that just came out, but for this 1x4x6 size frame) It just looks weird to have a regular door on a bus! The moving stop sign is an addition of mine, as it is unclear if it's on the actual bus from the cartoons / books. As a matter of fact, I can only think of a scant handful of times I've seen this side of the bus in the show! The titular vehicle from the original (and best!) "Magic School Bus" TV show, along with the original inspiring books as reference image. It's not a perfect match, but it's close enough for me. ...and before anyone asks: I can't possibly make Ms. Frizzle into a mini-figure to drive this bus: I could never do her unique sense of fashion justice! That's about all I have on this MOC. Aren't you glad you didn't stay home from school today? Any and all thoughts would be appreciated on this model!

    [MOC] Building The Simpsons Springfield

The faithful recreation of the iconic Simpsons town, Springfield! With greatly enjoying both LEGO and The Simpsons, I found it to be a perfect opportunity to rebuild the remarkable town in LEGO form! Expanding and greatly improving upon the already existing theme. 4. Flameo my fellow Avatar fans, I’m a huge fan of ATLA and I need your help. Recently I have submitted a project on LEGO IDEAS, it's the Spirit Oasis from Avatar: The Last Airbender. As you might know LEGO IDEAS is a website which allows users to submit ideas for Lego products to be turned into potential sets. So If my project reaches 10.000 supporters it may become an official LEGO Product. Many Avatar Fans including me would love to purchase another LEGO ATLA Set since the original sets from 2006 are not available anymore. Check out my project: The Spirit Oasis Project on LEGO IDEAS All you need to do is press the support button and create a free LEGO Account if necessary. Thanks a lot, Every supporter counts!

    [MOC] Stranger Things

Hi Everyone! This is my Stranger Things LEGO Ideas set. Stranger Things is one of my favourite shows, so this was a passion project of mine, I spent a lot of time and effort into creating this set. While it was rejected from LEGO ideas and never made it onto the LEGO Ideas website, I'm still really proud of the end result and had a blast making it. Bellow follows some images of the project as well as a YouTube video with my commentary & more images. Another 10 images of my project can also be viewed through Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/92629537@N08/albums/72157677687497238 Thanks for taking a look! I would love to hear and discuss any feedback, criticisms and thoughts anyone might have. Thank you!!

    (MOC) Bob's Burgers

Bob's Burgers is a favorite show of mine, so I decided to take a crack at it and see what their apartment/restaurant might look like in Lego form. This was actually going to be an Ideas submission too, because why not. Funnily enough it didn't pass inspection because it's based on an IP that isn't suitable by Lego standards. As much as I love Lego as a company I find that completely laughable as Bob's Burgers is a TV-PG show, the same rating the Simpsons carries. It's even more ridiculous when you consider that the Big Bang Theory is a TV-14 show and currently has a Lego Ideas set sitting on shelves. This is to say nothing of the PG-13 movies that have been turned into Lego sets (Lest we all forget Red Harrington the brothel owner featured in set 79108!). Granted Bob's Burgers does on occasion push the envelope, but I don't really think anymore than the Simpsons or Big Bang does.
  7. Now here is something different from me, a scene from 1960's live TV......In Melbourne Tonight with host (the king of TV) Graham Kennedy and his co-host (and life long friend) Bert Netwon. Graham was always the joker and hence in the images below Bert is going to receive a pie to the face. There is a camera with it's operator as well. More to come, keep watching and Brick On everyone ! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/130871
  8. A show-accurate version of Ninjago's Tiger Widow. I felt the set version was very underwhelming, so I decided to give this cute creature an upgrade. Why they call a six-legged animal a spider is beyond me, but luckily nature has something that fits: ant mimic spiders. The sideways fangs would then be modified versions of faux antennae, which are in turn modified legs. It even explains why it almost, but not really, has three body segments rather than two. Front view: Side view: As far as I know, all the parts are easily available via Bricklink. The spider's legs can move sideways and up and down at the base and up and down at the knees and claw tips. The head, pincers and mouth can also move, for a total of 29 points of articulation. Gallery (will add more pictures soon) .lxf file
  9. Yes, I'm starting another WIP. This time, I'm working on the humongous snake that was the focus of Ninjago's second plot arc. And as with the Tiger Widow, I'm trying to make it show-accurate. The eye. I'm trying to keep this simple but effective. I'm not entirely satisfied with the pupil, however. Any ideas on how to approximate the fang-like curve better? Here's the fang, with a minifig for scale. It's a big snake . Since I'm not going for buildability and instead trying to pretty much make a LDD puppet, it's going to have joints everywhere, mouth, frill and incredibly long and noodle-y body. Expect 35+ points of articulation . Comments and criticism appreciated! Gallery

    MOC: Spaced

Hello everyone! Today I would like to present you my latest MOC, natural successor to the Winchester, the house from the TV show Spaced - another masterpiece by Edgar Wright. 23 Meteor Street by Yatkuu, on Flickr For the sake of comparison here is a shot of the actual house used for the show. We're a family (of the 21st century)! by Yatkuu, on Flickr Mike and Private Iron by Yatkuu, on Flickr Note that the head used for Mike does not really exist. It is a mix of this head and this one and a bit of photoshop magic from my friend Pixel Fox. Spaced by Yatkuu, on Flickr Thanks for watching!

    Rick the Brick

He's just an everyday person.... but with a love an obsession for LEGO. While not 100% brick flick (sorry if this is in the wrong forum), this comedy series of shorts will feature this strange mysterious character playing around with his Laygoes, making various life sized builds. His name is Rick The Brick. I'll be sending you guys episodes from the series as the series develops. Here's episode 1: No Coaster No Problem.

    Galidor

What do you think of Galidor, The show and the toy, like pro's and con's. For me the show was CONS; a bit cheesey low production value ended on a cliff-hanger PROS; It was felt something LEGO would have designed with the city look character look ECT. Cool costumes cool concept and props fairly good storyline good principal cast TOYS CONS; Out of proportions with the characters made them look weird mcdonalds toys were lacking Just kinda weird as a whole set PROS; cool packaging cool organic looking pieces that can be used for MOCing (no matter how much people say its not) some have cool functions
