  1. Hi everyone. My name is Levi, I'm 16 years old, and have been a fan of Lego and trains my entire life, and even volunteer at the Spa Valley Railway in Sussex (and Kent). I recently agreed to be the chair for a TFOL (Teenage Fan Of LEGO) group of LNUR, LEGO Northern UK Railway, it's a new group set up for LEGO train fan members aged 14 years to 18 years. Despite the name, we are open to members all over the U.K. (I myself am based in the south of England). Thanks to the main LNUR group, who have agreed to give support to help us run the group while giving us the freedom to run as I see fit. I'm hoping we can get a small group of active members who will display at shows, once they reopen while supporting each other online too. If you are interested or know someone who could be interested head to lnurailway.co.uk/tfols, including membership benefits. In the first few months, we're free for TFOL members to help us get the group off the ground, after which we will start charging a small fee to help cover membership bricks and a few other costs. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope to see some of you there!
  2. Hey Guys I am new to Eurobricks, but here is my first MOC that I have posted to the forum. It is a Corvette C7 ZR1 with a body made out of system bricks and a Technic chassis. The car has steering, a functioning small-cylinder model V8, and opening doors. However, there is no suspension or interior. I have plans to make the car RC, but that will be quite the challenge. You can check out the video below.
  3. So I went to the LEGOWorld Copenhagen 2016 along with thousand´s of other people last weekend. It was a great event as usual for us fans of LEGO. As i could bore you with an insane amount of pictures of all of the event I will focus only on the Fan area. For now, most pictures are present. More will be added lateron! As I wen´t along with my sister twins, I had to somewhat rush through the event ( well, I didnt get the time to talk to everyone as you can imagine how eager 5year old kids behave ) Another thing that is really a shame is that I thought I had my camera all setup for the event. For some reason a lot of the pictures were overexposed ( I think is the right word in English ). I´ve been trying to the best of my ability to make all the pictures watchable afterall. Hope that you will enjoy as much as I did. Here we go: Ulrik Hansen came up with the information that its creator is Søren Johansen from Byggepladen (DK), and Cowboy Gibson from Brikkelauget (NO) A representation called Dragons Lair. As a kid I spend an awefull lot of coins playing a game named the same at the local Arcade, now I´ve just been told by Ulrik Hansen, that i´ts actually a representation of Smaug from LOTR. The creator is Sharon Vance from MichLUG (US). A gorgeous creation indeed ! JanetVanD were there as well. Her Awesome creation Fortress of solitude was also one of my favorites. Im so sad that my pictures of it turned out so bad. This is the best I could present to you. But check her creation out yall ! Transformers. These creations ( I know two are missing for now, will add pictures lateron ), can be transformed as the creator had an tablet showing the process. This scale and the way they were made was beyond my skills. Mindblowing to say the least. My god ! STARCRAFT !!!! These creations were also some of the best to me. I´ve been trying to build microscale Starcraft creations some years ago, but I only finished Terran and Protos. Zerg were the bane of my life. Those organic forms to me is just insanely har to accomplish. Cecilie is the woman who made these. I think she did it to what I think is the best that LEGO can offer for now with the part´s available. So well done ! You can watch all of her Starcraft creations Here on Flickr. And they are definatly worth checking out. Bricksonwheels were present. And while I´m mostly into Classic build´s or Historic themes, these just threw me of the floor. Seeing these creations in real life was just the best part of the day. So well build, so well presented. To top it Bricksonwheels is a really friendly guy. Check out his book: The Art of LEGO Scale modelling. Gulliver´s Island by Palle & Tina Haulrich of Byggepladen (DK). A fun MOC that I would have never thought of making. This was also a thing that draw the twins as they had recently been told the story. They enjoyed it as well as i did. An Rasmus Klump Diorama. Build by these people from Byggepladen (DK): Anne Mette Vestergaard, Lasse Vestergaard, Helgi Toftegaard, Henrik Kunz and Jakob Hestbæk. Again Ulrik Hansen came to help out telling us all who made this wonderful creation. I have no clue as to what, if these Child book´s even exist´s in English. If they do please tell what they are called. Another very well represented build with loads of awesome easily recognisable features from these kid´s stories. For now most of the pictures are here. Next step is to add text and so on. Im not quite done with the whole of the event. Busy busy. But will add more when I have some sparetime to spend on this post. I hope you got something out of it and enjoyed the pictures as well as the builds. If you know who made any of the MOC´s i havent yet named the creators of, please give me a hint so i can add proper links to the user, or at least link´s to their respective Flickr, or whatever they use to publish their creations. All C and C will be appreciated. Dont hold back. KlodsBrik

    Starting a LUG for Teens?

Hey y'all, I'm hoping to start a LEGO User Group for TFOLs this summer in Atlanta, and I have a few question I hope people can answer... First off, where is the best place for people to meet, based on experience? I know lots of people say libraries, but seeing as you can't be too loud (even in a study room) or have any food there, I'm not quite sure. I also have my LEGO/Youtube studio in my basement, but I'd be afraid until I get to know the members of the group that they would steal something...possibly? But yeah, that brings me to the next topic: how to get members? I'd prefer to keep the group small (like 12 or under people), and I only want people who are legitimately hardcore LEGO fans. So where to advertise? I mean, my youtube channel is obviously a great place, so there's that, but what about in the public? And finally, the third question: what to do? I know that lots of folks just like to hang out and talk LEGO and probably trade a bit, but I also wonder what else. I also have read about the organized builds, but I feel like until I could get a group started that wouldn't happen for a while, and the group would have to decide as a whole. As far as anything else, I've got nothing. Ideas? Thanks for the help.
  5. Hello fellow LEGO Fans! My name is Jacob and I love building. I have been reading the forum for a few months now, and I thought that it would be a good idea to join the site. I have loved LEGO since I was a child, starting with Bob the Builder Duplo at 2. I have more recently bought the Exo-Suit. I am currently in to all things LEGO, such as trains, cars, buildings, mechs, ships, and my favorite, a swoosh-able spacecraft of some sort. I am currently 15, going on 16 next month. I guess I would be what you would consider a "TFOL". I am working on a LEGO City at the moment and hope to fill the table by the time I finish High School. I hope I enjoy my time on this forum and hope to become a contributing member to the site!
  6. The old city, once the largest in Avalonia, betwixt Glevum and Antyria has long been in ruins, however at Historicas recent campaign against the black mage has allowed Nocturnian undeads and goblins to slip in without notice. they are experts at hiding, hoarding and making raids to the closer villages silently during the night. they are only strong in numbers. but numbers they have. the old city has been struck with an apocalypse. Heres something small I whipped up these past 2 days (while meant to be doing assignments that got belated to the early hours of the morning) my entry to the TFOL forums "Apocastle" contest, enjoy! ~Legonardo
