Fish Market The Trial of Sinbad The Trial of Sinbad part 2 The Trial of Sinbad part 3 The Trial of Sinbad part 4 The Trial of Sinbad part 5 Phase 2 On Trial Again It had taken months, but Sinbad had finally found a way to escape prison in Fuerte Unido. His escape route took him through a barrel factory. The laborers were busy loading up a cart with their product when something came crashing through the window. Sinbad dove into the harbor. The ESL guards fired at him, but no body was recovered.

Fish Market The Trial of Sinbad The Trial of Sinbad part 2 The Trial of Sinbad part 3 The Trial of Sinbad part 4 The Trial of Sinbad part 5 Phase 2 During the events of Jan, a fleet of Sea Rat vessels fired on ESL ships as they themselves sailed into an ESL harbor. The detained Sea Rats contributed to the economy of Fuerte Unido enough that ESL allowed them to leave with the promise never to harass them again. However, ESL still wanted someone to be judged for the crimes committed against their fair nation. Hear ye, hear ye! This court is now in session. Who do we have on the docket today? Sinbad the Pirate sir. He is charged with orchestrating an attack on Eslandolian ships as his pirates sailed into an Eslandolian port. And how does the defendant plead? He pleads "Not Guilty." On what grounds? Shouldn't I have a trial by jury? Lawyer Hamilton, please have your defendant remain silent. He has you as his counsel, there is no need to him to speak. What a bunch of tightwads! Sir, you'll find we are not some dim witted court ready to be swayed by your faulting arguments and impartial reasoning. Now be quiet or I shall have my guards force you to be quiet. Now, on what grounds does the defendant claim innocence? On the grounds of not being present when the altercation took place. That is not sufficient reason. We have a letter sent from Sinbad to the ships in question ordering them to attack Eslandolian traders. Unless you have something more substantial, we shall have to hang Sinbad. Um, well.... Stop that man! Gladly! Corrington hired us bounty hunters to apprehend Sinbad ever since he escaped their clutches at his last trial. Turns out he is guilty of piracy and bribery. How would Sinbad escape this time?

Fish Market The Trial of Sinbad The Trial of Sinbad part 2 The Trial of Sinbad part 3 The Trial of Sinbad part 4 As I have proven, my client has done nothing wrong. Objection your honor! If you object, please tell me what wrongs you still charge this man with? He attacked Corrington vessels! A fact that is not denied, but has also already been proven to be allowed and sanctioned and can therefore not be a wrongdoing. But he sank our ships! An unfortunate result, I can assure you. My client would much rather have captured them. But this has also been shown to be an act of my client performing more adequately on the seas than your Corrington captains. Just because he is better at his job you would want to declare war on an entire people group? Nay sir, this also cannot be proven to be a wrongdoing. But his actions caused the deaths of Corrington men and the financial ruin of others! And Corrington's taxes have caused poverty to many who could not afford them. And Corrington has also had vessel sink under their guns. Nay sir, as I've already proved, if my client is to be judged on his character qualities you must look at the sum of them, not just his most recent naval excursions. Well, I think the jury has heard all they need to make a decision. We'll allow them to be dismissed to consult with each other. ... Your honor, we've reached a unanimous decision. We find the accused Sinbad to be not guilty of acts against Corrington. Very well, Sinbad you are free to go. Court dismissed! You can't do that! I believe he just did. Good day sir. ... A short while later... And here's some cash for you. And some cash for you. Well that does it for the Jury. Well done Hamilton. I never doubted your lawyering skills or your bribing skills. It's the least I could do as a thank you for saving my life. Where are you off to next? In spite of having "won" this case, my spies tell me Corrington is still outraged at my actions. I intend to try to lay low. "Intend"? Well, Sea Rats will be Sea Rats. I'm not trying to attack Corrington ships, but I also can't stop sailing. It's my livelihood. The End

Hamilton, it's time for our next scheme. Send the letter to The Peregrine (@Kwatchi) as we discussed. Very good sir. A short time after the results of the MCRA... Sinbad? Who's asking? The nation of Eslandola wishes to inform Bastion that we have detained the Sea Rat vessels which sailed into the port of Fuerte Unido. I was told you were the best person to inform seeing as the Sea Rats have no formal government. And why would you do that? Please sir! I'm just the messenger! The message gives you all the facts! Very well, be gone. Hamilton, it appears our scheme is working. Sea Rat ships fired on ESL vessels shortly before sailing into an ESL harbor. Eslandola is demanding an explanation. Shall we prepare our legal case? Way ahead of you sir. Let's go win another court battle.

Fish Market The Trial of Sinbad The Trial of Sinbad part 2 The Trial of Sinbad part 3 You claim my client is "not nice." You're twisting my words! I'm saying your client is guilty of acting evilly. Gentlemen of the court, you may not realize this, but one of the causalities when the HMS Mardier's Misfit sank had a widow who lives in this very city. A Corrington officer brought her the bad news. She was greatly distraught and now had no way to provide for herself and her household. The Corrington officer could do nothing more than offer his condolences. But when Sinbad heard about her plight. He brought her enough money to live on for at least the next year. Now you tell me, does this sound like the actions of a man bent on evil? To be continued...

Fish Market The Trial of Sinbad "And I say he's guilty!" responded the lawyer defending Corrington. Judge, I object. My client has done nothing wrong as his actions have been sanctioned by Corrington's Commander-in-Chief. You see, I have here a notarized statement saying as such: And where did you get such a document? From your notary of course. Ah, I see. Objection sustained. But... but... attacking our ships is just wrong! Um, well, that's true too. Defendant, how do you respond? To be continued...

Fish Market The Trial of Sinbad The Trial of Sinbad part 2 You say it is wrong for my client to attack your ships. Let me give you another scenario. Imagine with me, a scene down by the docks. One man, a good business man, owns a warehouse. But a better business man buys him out. Now, is this better business man wrong for being better? Of course not! He's just proven himself superior in his trade. Can we please got on with this? Of course, but just as if nothing would happen if the less shrewd warehouse owner had put up a fuss about being bought out, so to should nothing happen to my client. As already proven, his actions were sanctioned by Corrington's Vice Admiral himself. Just because you don't like that my client practiced his superior skills against Corrington's ships is inconsequential. Um, hmm, that makes sense but it still doesn't seem right. Or course it's not right! No matter what he says, it's not nice to sink other people's ships! So it comes down to moral character does it? Let me give you another example... To be continued...
  8. Previously: Chapter 1 Chapter 2: Sinbad the Pirate Hang The Rules Rescued Shipwright Shipwright's Office The Komodo Dragon "Because They're Pirates!" Fish Market Stop him! Court was in session in King's Harbor. The honorable judge Wilkinsen was presiding over a case involving a smuggler when a commotion broke out. Please sirs, you're interrupting a court of law! Mind your manners! Your honor, I'm trying to submit myself to the court, but these ruffians wouldn't allow me in! And rightfully so! Order must be upheld! Court proceedings cannot be interrupted just to meet the needs of one individual! But since all decorum has already been forgotten, pray tell why you wish to see me? I am Sinbad the Pirate, and I've heard that I am a wanted man in Corrington. It's true sir! He is guilty of the most heinous of crimes against the crown! If this is true, then let me stand trial. I have nothing to hide. A pirate you may be, but we believe in upholding law and order here in Corrington, so you will be tried by a jury of your peers. Hear ye, hear ye! Court is now in session! Pirate Sinbad, you are charged with attacking Corrington vessels while being unprovoked and without cause. How do you plead? If I may sir, I'd like my lawyer to answer that. Sinbad had rescued 3 men from the gallows. One of those men was Hamilton, a skilled lawyer who had acquitted all his cases to-date. He had been found sleeping with another man's wife in Oleon which had given him a death sentence. But Sinbad knew he would need a specially talented man if he ever went to court so he rescued him. I will be defending this honest man. And my client is not guilty, as I will here prove. And so the trial began. To be continued...
  9. Previously: Chapter 1 Chapter 2: Sinbad the Pirate Hang The Rules Rescued Shipwright Shipwright's Office The Komodo Dragon "Because They're Pirates!" After the disastrous results of last month's voyages, Sinbad sought to meet with the captains of the two lost ships. He found them walking through Rassilon's fish market. Jamie, Jay, I've been looking for you. Sir, yes sir, what can we do for you sir? Does this have anything to do with the fact that both our ships sank sir? Idiots! What else could it be about! It wasn't our fault captain! We tried our best to keep the Tigerlily and the Darting Frog afloat, honest! We all make choices. When the Fang family tried to woo me with convincing arguments, I chose to take my own path. When Captain Fheng died and left us all to fend for ourselves, I chose to become a captain myself instead of sniveling under another man's orders. You two made your own choice when you agreed to follow me as captain! Now, you can choose to make your loses up to me, or you can choose to see my harpoon come out your backside, which will it be? We'll make it up to you captain, we swear!
  10. Previously: Chapter 1 Chapter 2: Sinbad the Pirate Hang The Rules Rescued Shipwright Shipwright's Office Now completed, Sinbad and some of his pirate gang wanted to take the Komodo Dragon on her maiden voyage to test her mettle. They hopped to come across some unsuspecting merchant, but what they found was more than they bargained for. "Steady men!" shouted Sinbad. "Don't let her get too close!" "Man the cannons!" shouted another. "Prepare to fire!" They had come across one of the fabled sea monsters. It reared its ugly head and prepared to strike. Why it had decided to attack them, Sinbad did not know. Maybe it had something to do with all that rum they had drunk the night before...
  11. Previously: Chapter 1 Chapter 2: Sinbad the Pirate Hang The Rules Rescued Shipwright It had been some time, but finally the ship Sinbad had commissioned was complete. He came to Simon's water-front shop to finalize the details. "I've never built a ship as grand as this before! She is magnificent!" exclaimed Simon. "You're not known as the most famous shipwright for no reason" Sinbad said, stroking Simon's ego. "When can she be ready to sail?" "She'll be ready within the week!" said a happy Simon. Not only had he been saved from the noose, but he was plying the trade he was best at. A pirate's life certainly suited him.
  12. Previously: Chapter 1 Chapter 2: Sinbad the Pirate Hang The Rules Sinbad and his crew had set sail for Rassilon shortly after rescuing the men condemned to hang. Once they were anchored in the harbor, Sinbad took the first man and rowed him to the docks. "You can take the hood off now Simon" said Sinbad. "Why did you rescue me?" answered Simon. "You're one of the most famous shipwrights," Sinbad answered. "I couldn't let a man of your talents go to waste. There are some new powers on the seas these days. They are regulating the number of ships a man can sail. Can you believe it!?! As leader of a band of pirate captains, I can't let that slow me down." "How can I help?" asked Simon. "I need you to help legitimize my fleet if anyone should scrutinize my ledgers. And, I need you to build me a ship" replied Sinbad.
  13. Previously: Chapter 1 Chapter 2: Sinbad the Pirate Storms had kept much of the Brick Seas' fleets off the ocean this summer, but it hadn't stopped Sinbad from continuing to build his reputation. This time around, he was freeing some men from being hanged by Oleon. These men had offended the government in one way or another, and their crimes were being publicly announced before their death. The crowd was so engrossed with the crier, so they didn't notice Sinbad's men rushing the platform. There was only one guard, which was quickly dispatched. And then Sinbad, his men, and the prisoners were gone. OoC: Some of you have seen this build on my Flickr feed. It's actually going to be something else when I'm done with it, but I couldn't pass up the chance to use it at this stage for this MOC.
  14. Previously: Chapter 1 Dramatis Personae: It was not a normal day in the Blue Lantern pub. With the absence of Captains Li and Cho Fang as well as Captain Fheng there was a power void among the pirates that frequented Rassilon. Captain Sulu, captain of the Golden Dragon was already famous for capturing many prizes. A number of the other captains were leaning towards making him their leader. Captain Sulu Captain Ching Shih had sailed for Li Fang for many months taking control of La Oleon when she was first captured and then The Viper after Li Fang died. Quite a few captains favored Shih. Captain Shih The pub had not been closed to local traffic, but most citizens knew better than to try to enter while the captains were vying for power. So when Sinbad strolled in it was met with some surprise. Everyone turned to watch him as he bought a drink and then raised it for a toast. "To the pirate captains!" he shouted. No one raised their glass. Sinbad just cocked an eyebrow and took a swig. "You may be wondering why I'm here," Sinbad asked. "Well, it's to make a business proposition." Just then another man walked into the pub. There was a gasp heard throughout the room. At first glance it had seemed that Captain Fheng was back from the dead. The man held an uncanny resemblance to the former captain. He said, "Whatever this scum has to offer you can wait. I am Captain Fheng's son, Francis Fheng and I have come to claim the right of Pirate Lord among you. Many of you sailed under my father's colors, now I've come to ask you to sail under mine. My father wanted to show the 'civilized' world how wrong they are for trying to tax and enslave us. We were meant to live as free men and I intend to sail against anyone who says otherwise. Who's with me!?!" As Francis was finishing his rousing speech Sinbad walked up to him and said: "Excuse me, I don't like being called scum." "You, you sailed with my father. Yet you weren't there when he died. That makes you scum and not worth my time." "Well you better make time. You see, it doesn't benefit me if everyone here sails under your colors. So I'm going to give you a choice." Sinbad pulled out a coin. "What are you getting on about?" "It's simple. We are all here by our own choice. I'm not making you stay or go. That's your choice. But I'm telling you that you better choose to leave." "Son, you're crazy! Get out of my way." Sinbad pulled out a pistol and everyone gasped. "Alright, if you won't make the choice. I'll make it for you. I'm going to flip this coin. If it lands as heads, I'll let you leave alive. If it lands tails you'll be leaving to go meet Davy Jones." Before anyone could react Sinbad had thrown the coin in the air. He caught it and looked at it. "Heads. You're lucky day." Francis Fheng turned and fled the pub. Sinbad turned to address the captains. "As I was saying before. I have a business proposition for you all." He walked back to the bag he had left and the counter and took it to one of the tables. All the pirates gathered around him, their former vying for power forgotten. "All of you sailed under Captain Fheng before his untimely death. As you know, he died fighting for what he believed in. That was his choice. I'm asking you to elect me as your Pirate Lord and to sail for something even better than beliefs." "And what's that?" shouted one of the captains. "Gold. There's lot more where this came from. I have it stored in safe location for now, but Freddy can validate my wealthy. He helped me bring it back for the forsaken island we found it on. Make me captain of the Priest's Bounty and elect me as your leader and I promise to make you all rich beyond your wildest dreams!" It was a unanimousmus vote. Sinbad was now Pirate Lord of all pirate captains in Rassilon.

Preferably something with lots of easily accessible dirt. He set off to talk to a farmer who was selling his pineapple field. A couple of the hands were saying to each other, "When I said we should sign up with the Sea Rats, I wasn't thinking we'd be back to manual labor! Aren't we supposed to be able to kick back and live off our ill gotten gains?" "Yeah," responded his friend, "but first we have to get hired on a pirate ship so we can collect those ill gotten gains! Until then our rum won't pay for itself!" Sinbad liked what he saw, so he and the farmer struck a deal. Sinbad was now the proud owner of a pineapple plantation.

Revels Death of Captain Fheng and the Fate of the Jade Piranha This entry is Pre-ESL. Though the Sea Rats end up with the Gold. Although Freddy had struck it rich, he was again a poor man. He had spent all his money on parties and now was back at work trying to sell his trained chickens. But it wasn't going so well. Last month he had only managed to sell one chicken. He was on his way through town heading to one of the local pubs to drown his sorrows when he was stopped by a respectable looking gentleman that Freddy couldn't help but trust right away. He was such a dapper looking fellow, who wouldn't trust him? "You look like an enterprising young chap!" the man called out. "Wanna buy a rare jumbo rabbit?" "Wow!" exclaimed Freddy. "I've never seen a rabbit so big!" "Yes-sir-ee!" continued the man. "This is one of the rarest rabbits in the world. Legend says one this big is only born once every 100 years!" "Double wow!" shouted Freddy. "This could be just what I need to break out of my trading slump! How much do you want for him mister?" "Well," said the salesman, "as I said, this kind of rabbit is a rarity and a wonder. I don't think I could let him go for anything less than 50 doubloons." "Oh," said Freddy, crestfallen. "I only have 7 doubloons." "I'll take it!" cried the salesman. "We have a deal!" --- Freddy, with his newly bought jumbo rabbit, had immediately set sail to try to find a new fortune. Unfortunately, he had run into a storm that had driven far from the Nest of Thieves and instead towards the coast of the Gunpowder Island (how he got that far in nothing but a row boat, we may never know). Freddy didn't know this though, he still thought he was about to see Bastion on the horizon. After a few more hours of rowing and not seeing the city, he headed towards land to take on fresh water and any food he could find. But before he could step out of the boat, four natives emerged from the forest. Freddy had heard about these natives before. They painted themselves red in honor of the volcano that was on their island. He had also heard that they were a fearsome race so he held out his rabbit with trembling hands, praying that they would eat the rabbit instead of him. But rather than attack him, the natives seemed in awe of Freddy. The leader motioned at Freddy's jumbo bunny and said, "rabbit, give." Freddy was stunned that these natives knew any english so he just stood in his boat with his mouth hanging open. Mistaking his wonder and amazement for hesitation, the native leader spoke again, "rabbit, trade!" Freddy wasn't sure what he was about to get in exchange for his rabbit, but he figured it was better than being eaten so he got out of the boat and followed the natives into the jungle. --- They passed through the native's village where Freddy saw all manner of rabbit emblems. He was beginning to think that this tribe probably worshiped rabbits. He hoped he wasn't about to become a sacrifice to some bunny god. The continued past the village and into the mountains. They approached a fearsome looking rock formation. "Tomb." stated the native leader. "Killer rabbit." Freddy was glad to hear that the "killer rabbit" was dead. But he wasn't sure what he was going to find inside. "Trade!" insisted the leader and motioned Freddy into a hidden cave entrance. Freddy left the rabbit with the other natives and ducked past the curtain. Inside Freddy found his mouth again hanging open. He had found a veritable city of gold! He gladly traded the rabbit for as much gold as his rowboat could carry and headed for home (again, no idea how he made it that far in just a rowboat!) Back in Bastion, Freddy ran across Sinbad who was still trying to figure out what to do next. Sinbad had no captain and no ship. He had a small amount of treasure still with him from the events that led to the death of the Fang family. But most of it was buried on an island far away. Sinbad needed to find a new crew to join, or another way to make his name in the world. He noticed the gold that Freddy was carrying happily about and wondered where it came from. "Where'd you get that gold?" asked Sinbad. "You won't believe it Sinbad!" cried Freddy. "I found the city of gold!" This gave Sinbad an idea. "Alright then Freddy," threatened Sinbad. "Unless you want to see what I can do with this harpoon, you're going to take me to the gold." "A-a-a-alright Mr. Sinbad Sir!" stammered Freddy. "But the gold belongs to the natives. They'll only trade it if you have something they want!" "And what is it they want?" asked Sinbad. And so, that was how, a few hours later, Freddy and Sinbad could be seen walking through the streets of Bastion with a crate of rabbits. They sailed back to Gunpowder Island and traded for the rest of the gold. Sinbad knew that Captain Fheng probably would have figured out a way for both Mardier and himself to profit from the venture. But Sinbad didn't care. Captain Fheng had chosen to fight for an ideal and it had killed him. Sinbad was making his own choices. And this time he was choosing to make a large profit for himself.

Revels While the rest of the Sea Rats rejoiced because of their victory over Eslandola, Sinbad was distraught. He had gotten the whole story from the crew of the Puck's Jest. Captain Fheng, filled with a desire to see the civilized world brought to its knees was in the thick of the battle when the Sea Rats surprised the ESL blockade breaking convoy. In the heat of battle, he didn't notice the Morning Fog coming up along side. The Morning Fog had been built by the same shipwrights as the Jade Piranha. In the confusion and because of the canon smoke everywhere, the Sea Rat fleet had not realized that the Morning Fog was a different vessel and so she was able to sneak into the heart of the SR convoy. She opened fire with all guns and quickly destroyed the Jade Piranha. Captain Fheng went down with his ship, loyal to the last. Thankfully she was quickly avenged by the Puck's Jest who made the crew of the Morning Fog pay dearly. Unfortunately, since not just the captain, but every ranking officer on board had been slaughtered by the crew of the Puck's Jest, Sinbad had no way to avenge his former captain. And so he was left asking himself, "what would he do next?" OoC: The Jade Piranha is being sister-shipped and replaced with my captured 5HA, the Morning Fog. The micro-ship version is seen above, the full version is below. It is just a re-coloring of the original Jade Piranha using Gimp. It was approved by the courts.

The Jade Piranha Strikes Again! The Parched Pirate Pirate Pet Shop Warped Wood The Captain's Dinner Death Before Dinner Kraken Attacken! FYI: this entry is pro-Mardier. Captain Ralph was a noted soldier in Eslandola's army. He had proved himself time and time again in their skirmishes against Mardier. So it was an easy choice when Eslandola's higher ups needed someone to lead the Lechuga squadron against Mardier's defenses. Leading the forces defending the Mardier line, Sinbad had once again been outfitted with new credentials that placed him at the head of a squad of Corrington soldiers who had opted to fight on behalf of Mardier. Captain Ralph had arranged to have multiple boats land at the same time allowing them to storm the palisade from different directions. He hoped that this would cause confusion for the soldiers on the wall, allowing his Lechuga squad to take out the Corries and bring down this section of wall. However, Sinbad's troops had the high ground and with such an open beach, it was easy for them to get the shots off they needed to slaughter the Eslandolian troops. Brave to the last, Captain Ralph was the first to be cut down. His troops mourned his loss and bravely fought on in his honor, but with no results except their own deaths. OoC: Special thanks to @Stash2Sixx for donating the amazing custom ESL troops and guns to be musket fodder for my MOC!

The Jade Piranha Strikes Again! The Parched Pirate Pirate Pet Shop Warped Wood The Captain's Dinner Death Before Dinner Kraken Attacken! Lechuga Squadron Advance! The word was out. The Sea Rats daring strike against the Eslandolian blockade-breaking fleet had been one of the most successful strikes in naval history. Pirates of all backgrounds and located all across the seas were celebrating. This was a decisive blow to the organized nations and their taxes, and to Eslandola in particular as the leader in profiting from the sweat of their countrymen. But for Sinbad, the news was bitter sweet. His captain, the venerated Captain Fheng, had been seen going down with the Jade Piranha during the attack. Sinbad took some small consolation in the fact that the crew of the Morning Fog had been put to the sword already. Yet, at the same time, this left him feeling empty. If the crew had remained alive, he could have sought vengeance on them, but even that had been robbed from him. Fheng had desired to show the civilized nations that it was better to be free than taxed, but was that what Sinbad wanted?

While many Sea Rats had hired their services out to Mardier in their war against Eslandola, the faction as a whole remained swayed by dubloons, not politics. One such crew had been hired by one Sir Blake, an Eslandolian entrepreneur with grand designs for controlling the seas most feared beasts. He had the ship set sail for open waters, many leagues from the nearest island. Sir Blake had studied the effects of music upon animals and was convinced that he could summon and control a fearsome creature from the depths of the ocean the likes of which had only before been seen in nightmares. He began to play the organ and waited while the reverberations sank deep into the sea. After some time of playing he heard the cry go out "Sea beast spotted captain!" He rushed on deck and boasted proudly, "Now we shall watch as the beast attacks Eslandola's foes!" However, his boast was empty. Rather than command this creature, all Sir Blake had done was awaken and anger it. Following the source of the disturbance, the kraken proceeded to destroy the nuisance. Stunned by his failure, all Sir Blake could do was watch in terror as the crew hopeless tried to fight off the beast.

Somehow, Zheng's connections had made his papers seem official enough that the local mayor had invited him for dinner. Arriving early for the meal, Sinbad was admitted to the mayor's study where he was enjoying some fresh air while on the balcony of his study. Certain messages from the island had been intercepted by Mardian agents which implicated this mayor in trying to sign an agreement with Oleon for aid in Eslandola's war against Mardier. So Sinbad took care of the problem and escaped the confusion that ensued as the servants tried to figure out whether they still needed to serve dinner or not now that their master was dead. Full shot of the build:

I told you before that I only killed the Fang family because they chose to show no concern for those around them. They chose their fate, I was just the conduit. Which is why I invited you for dinner. You've proven yourself to be a valuable member of my crew. Thank you sir. You've been a good captain to serve under. Which is why I'm sending you on a special mission. War is coming and I need someone I can trust to serve in a special capacity. I intend to profit as much as possible from the coming battles. I have connections within Mardier that will allow you to take on a number of personas to fulfill your missions, if you accept. You mean, I'm not to continue serving with you, on the Piranha? You can serve me better as a special agent, a spy if you will. But if this job seems undesirable to you, I'm sure I can find someone else who would be willing to do it for an extra share of profit each month. Oh, I accept. I just want to make sure you aren't trying to distance yourself from me to get rid of me. Your time serving the Fangs has made you suspicious, I understand that. But if you question my honor again, I will cut you down myself! ... Understood sir. A question if I may? ... What do you have to gain from helping Mardier? The absolute destruction of the civilized world. It's time men stood on their merit alone and not the backs of those they deem less worthy. I know you agree with me or else you never would have left Oleon or killed the Fangs. Now, for your first mission, this is what I need you to do... The story is Continued Here!

The Jade Piranha Strikes Again! After killing the Fang family, Sinbad spent the next few weeks traveling from port to port gathering news. He didn't return to The Viper right away because he wasn't sure how he'd be received. He knew Li Fang hadn't been loved by his crew, but neither was he. So instead he traveled from tavern to tavern listening to the sailor's stories. He heard that instead of pursing him, the crew of The Viper actually ignored him. They just continued to patrol the seas for prizes. So Sinbad decided to try to join another crew. He wanted to join one that was making a difference in showing the nations that their rules were only shackling their people and that the Sea Rats freedom was the way to go. So he arranged a meeting with Captain Zheng who agreed to take him on as part of his crew. "I've heard of your exploits" the captain said, "How you killed the mutineers and then turned on your captain yourself. How can I trust you to act differently on my crew?" "Are you saying you don't want me to stop a mutiny if it should happen on your ship?" retorted Sinbad. "Don't play coy with me boy" answered Zheng. "I'm not like your last captain, willing to take insults from his crew. You know what I'm asking so give me the answer." Sinbad had already been able to tell Zheng and Fang were as different as night and day. Fang had been fearful and always trying to prove himself. Zheng was confident and self-aware. He answered the captain, "Sir, when I killed the mutineers it was because they only cared for themselves and not for the rest of their crew or their captain. When I killed my captain after I had exhausted all other options. He was so obsessed with himself he had stopped caring for his crew. I've heard enough about you to know you will never put me in that kind of a situation." And so Sinbad's career as one of Zheng's crew began. OoC: The Parched Pirate will be licensed as a small tavern.

But during his latest voyage his renown only grew greater. The Tigerlilly and the King Archibald were both sailing only the same stretch of ocean when they saw a jade green ship flying the black. Although these two ships belonged to different nations, they decided that working together to take down the notorious pirate Zheng was more important that focusing on their differences. They prepared to strafe the Jade Piranha on both sides when the Jade Piranha opened fire from her bow! Taking out the main masts of both ships, the Jade Piranha sailed through and showed why she was one of the most feared ships on the seas.
