  3. Hi! This is the thread where I'll be posting my figs from time to time, glad to have you here! I've been quite active making OC figs in the past (not so much nowadays) but I never really shared a lot of them on EB, most of them stayed on Flickr. Recently I've been compiling years worth of individual figure shots into collages, in an attempt to streamline my Flickr photostream and to also free up some space for future images. I thought now would be a good time to share them. [MOC] Falchion - 55

My brother @LittleJohn and I built this spaceship for SHIPtember in just over a week. Inspired by this concept art, though we used that mainly as a starting point and then went with whatever worked as we progressed. Really happy with how it turned out! Length: 106 studs. Weight: Not yet determined.
  6. Everyone remembers galaxy squad. Some liked it, some didn't. But everyone can probably agree that it was our last original, thought out, classic space theme. I liked it, but probably not the kids. At least that's what I suspect, considering the mark downs at Walmart. Because "nooooooo no no no"! Kids didn't want this. They wanted this! "Sigh" So where does that leave us? Stuck buying something like this? So I'm thinking "If kids want Star Wars, why not make sets aimed towards adults?" Creator Expert Series anyone? Why not make a $100 to $500 dollar classic space for AFOL? What do you think?

  8. Not sure if this is the right place for something like this, it is definitely military but also decidedly sci-fi. Mods please do let me know if this should be removed or relocated With that out of the way I present a moc that I call the LHCP 87 or Light Hover Combat Platform type 87 - meant to be a nod to naming conventions of the Japanese Self-Defense force as this was inspired by the style of vehicles seen frequently in late 80's to early 90's anime and manga especially. Of course I am well aware of the impracticality of a hover tank. However it is such a sci-fi trope I feel it is a subject worth exploring. It this version it is really more of a variable thrust powered tank, which presents its own problems of course but with a healthy suspense of belief I'd like to think the finished model is a plausible representation fitting the world for which it was designed. Anyways on to the build. I really wanted to focus on the cold-wr meets sci-fi nature of the subject, hence the combination of some fairly dated technologies along with an array of various sensors, cameras and active protections. Of course I have taken some artistic license here, but again tried to remain in the realm of the plausible. I am by no means an expert in this area, just an enthusiast. I plan on incorporating this into a small build, I'm still deciding whether it will be an urban setting or a natural one. Any thoughts on this are welcome Let me know what you think below.

    [moc] UN-D11 Air Speeder

Here is my latest moc. I call it the UN-D11 Air speeder ...or maybe its a flying car, or a spinner, or a hovercraft... Lately I've been feeling a bit burnt out and have had a hard time coming up with the creative energy to put into building. Instead I've been spending a lot of time looking at concept art, going back and re-examining some childhood favorites to try to get some inspiration. I've also been thinking about going back to my LEGO moc roots. My first "serious" builds were speeders from and based on the Star Wars universe. Something about the cross of utility - the need to move people and things, with the styling - the industrial design of a consumer product - really appeals to me. I enjoy the tension there. And this is the result. Inspired by some of the sci-fi greats, Syd Mead, Don Davis and Peter Elison, I wanted to create something with exaggerated lines and a strong character but also plausible (As far as flying cars go haha). It ended up being a lot of fun and has helped spark my inspiration. I'm looking forward to building more of these weird fantasy vehicles! Thanks for looking! Do you have any artists that you turn to for building inspiration? Let me know in the comments.

    [MOC] Hover Tram 2052

I'm not sure if this belongs here or in Train-Tech. Regarding My Hover vehicles, I also created a Hover Tram (or passenger train if you prefer) Nothing much to say, well, yes, it has the tan train windows, I didn't pay a fortune for them, I have had Emerald Night Set since the day it was released :) Hover Tram 2052 by Sérgio Batista, no Flickr Hover Tram 2052 by Sérgio Batista, no Flickr

  13. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Terminator 2: Judgement Day, one of the greatest action movies of all time, and the Marvel comics of the same title that were released to tie in with the movie release. To celebrate this occasion, I have created a bust of one of the iconic T-800 Endoskeletons as seen in the opening scene for this year's Nerdvember challenge. Built in the same style as official LEGO event exclusive character busts and equipped with two light bricks to light up the eyes with the press of a button on each side of the skull, this detailed display piece is designed to look authentic and make every LEGO and Terminator fan go: "I want that!" I hope you like it. I'm off now to build more MOCs. I'll be back.
  14. FILE: Project Thunderbird (2071 – 2085) Developed by Ætheon (a high-profile private military company/"PMC"), Project Thunderbird was the first successful of instance of “jet trooper” (colloquially known as “Jetters”) being deployed into combat. Using cybernetically enhanced pilots (most of which were former US Air Force and Marines), the company was able to find work in conflict zones all over the world. All jet suits contained an exoskeleton, joy stick controls, and numerous intakes and jets that could be adjusted in real-time for maximum maneuverability. Jet suits varied wildly according the pilot’s rank and personal preferences. Though the suit’s weaponry varied between pilots, the most popular weapons were twin rapid-fire plasma cannons and two pairs of missile launchers. The most famous Jetter was Ariel Vazquez. Joining the program in 2072 at the age of 25, she displayed immense prowess with the suit and made headlines for her heroics in the Long Beach Excursion (2073), in which [REDACTED] surfaced off the coast of Long Beach, California and attacked the water front. Were it not for the timely intervention of the “Jetters”, the [REDACTED] would’ve wreaked untold destruction on the city proper. Vazquez would also participate in the Battle of Bend (2079), in which the nation states of Cascadia and Greater Idaho fought for control of a newly-discovered (and incredibly valuable) lithium deposit on the outskirts of Bend, Oregon. Being a PMC, Ætheon sided with the highest bidder (in this case, Greater Idaho) and wreaked massive casualties on the Cascadian military with their superior airpower. Though effective, Project Thunderbird’s heavy and unwieldly jet suits would ultimately be phased out as the technology improved and became more compact. However, it would leave a lasting impact on military combat (even going into the intergalactic age centuries later), with similar technology being deployed by the Royal Cobalt Space Navy (RCSN) in their “Gunzerker” program. Ariel Vazquez Birthdate: 04/26/2047 Hometown: Santa Ana, California, United States Height 5’11”/1.80 m (without suit) 6’5”/1.96 m (with suit) Weight 155 lbs/70.30 kg (without suit) 82 lbs/37.19 kg (suit) 242 lbs/114.31 kg (with suit) Education Mater Dei High School (2062 – 2066) West Point (2066 – 2070) Primary Military Specialty: Aerial Secondary Military Specialty: Ordinance

  16. Zaria, Soren, and Yelana meet up outside the Oc|Tan refueling Depot on the lower level of Ebria Station. Lighting in the lower levels flicker and the grime of the station is thicker all around. The industrial smells of oil, metal, and plastic permeate the air and the whine of power saws from the nearby scrappers guild pierce through the hustle and bustle of merchants on the lower docks. The Depot occupies nearly one half of the arm of the lower level with storage tank upon storage tank stretching from floor to ceiling. Upon inquiring at the desk of the front office the heroes are ushered into a small quiet non-descript board room. Seating themselves at a table, a voice echoes through the room from a blank viewing screen mounted upon the far wall. "Hello, hello? Can't seem to get the scrying camera working right, one moment please." Seconds later a Stratitarian flashes upon the screen. "Ah there we go... oh you're still here. 17. A utilitarian space / Arctic freight train for my ice-bound Nexus Force base... it may not look very spacey, though. (I tried, it's more difficult than it looks!) This MOC features: - ALCO RS-11-like four axle diesel loco - boxcar with removable top and opening doors. - Nuclear waste flask car. Try not look at the glass sections for very long! - two couple of sectioned gondolas loaded with comet / meteorite samples.... and maybe a few frozen aliens inside! - bay window caboose for nuclear flask guards and train crew This model was originally a ALCO MRS-1 (which you can see in his instructions store here) built by @SavaTheAggie, but has been so severely modified that it no longer looks like the prototype loco. So I went searching and found another ALCO locomotive, a RS-11 that looks (kind of) like my new loco. Both my MOC and the new prototype have the four wheels, and the same basic hood and cab design as the MRS-1 that preceded it. I changed out the original grille bricks at the rear for grille tiles SNOTed-in sideways for a more consistent look when compared to the roof vents. I added back in Sava's maintenance cabinets from the MRS-1, yet attached them differently using newer parts. I also shortened the frame by six studs to fix the spacing problem created by the missing two wheels. The long hood of the loco has been designated the rear. The printed Nexus Force logo (from CITY Arctic 2014) goes on the curved 2 x 2 x 2/3 slopes on the front and rear hood ends, underneath the lights. This boxcar was heavily inspired by Time Gould boxcar design from the dying days of the 9v-era, otherwise known as 2008. (You can see it and his entire vintage train it came from, here on Rebrickable for free.) The roof comes off this car type and the loading doors open up. This nuclear waste flask car is loaded and ready for delivery to a waste storage facility at an undisclosed location. These open air gondolas are loaded with icy meteorite fragments, which may or may not contain hostile alien life frozen inside! No interior on this part of the train, as it's too crowded inside due to needed SNOT-work for the bay windows. This car was originally puzzled-out from this MOC's pictures. I'm already parting out the diesel engine, but the train will have to wait. You can see more details on the arctic / space base shown above in this thread in the Sci-Fi forum. Be warned, it needs to be updated with some newer stuff I designed! Thoughts? EDITED 9/6/21: added nuclear car photo and updated the main picture.

    MechWarrior Madcat and Mechbay

Hello One of my favourite games growing up was Mechwarrior, so my new found passion for Lego designing was always going to incorporate a mechwarrior design at some point. One of my favourite mechs was the Mad cat or Timberwolf, so that is what I tried to recreate in this Lego design. But like most things I design that I plan on building, it must be playable, it has to be something my 4 and 5 year old would love to play with(destroy), so I added the mechbay with lots of playable features, it has sliding doors, a fully functional sliding crane and hoist system as well a few minifigures to refit and repair the mech. I do intend to actually build this one once I finish my build of the Klingon bird of prey that I have shared on this forum. If you are interested, I have added this model to Lego ideas and it is currently in the support stage, so if you think it would make a great set for Lego to officially build then any support given would be greatly appreciated. Let me know what you think, any feedback would be great.
