    [MOC] Central Park Casino

Hello everyone! This is my first post on Eurobricks in a while! Located in the heart of Transylvania, Cluj Napoca is the second biggest city in Romania. Built in an Architecture theme style, the Central Park Casino is one of the most representative and well-known buildings of the city. It is the main building of the city's Central Park, and it has served multiple purposes over the years, currently being used as a cultural destination. Being built in the late 19th century, its eclectic architecture is closely resembled using LEGO elements. The LEGO model consists of 1650 pieces that represent as closely as possible the small details, columns, windows and overall shape of the real-world Casino. It was built with a modular design in mind, resulting in 25 different subsections such as the baseplates, arches, corners, sides, roof, etc. The MOC was showcased at the Brickenburg Winter Exhibition of 2019-2020, in Romania, and also at the Skaerbaek Fan Weekend 2019, in Denmark. If you wish to support it, you can find the Casino on LEGO Ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/6405c9e0-f7d0-47ef-a075-6fd097deaf52 Thank you very much! Would love to hear your opinions on this.
  2. Hey all, we've been working on building up a lego youtube channel for romanian fans (https://bit.ly/2ML8vLM) I know this might not appeal to many on the site since only a part of us speak romanian, but I thought some of you might like to know. We're still young naive beginners, and especially in the beginning I've tried emulating what I like from other channels while slowly making it my own. I would love some feedback from members here, either romanian speakers or otherwise, everyone is welcome! I am also a newbie to the forums here, but I do follow your news. You'll find some reviews, some short and hopefully amusing videos, as well as some past live streams (which we are planning on making more of).Once again, the link is https://bit.ly/2ML8vLMIf and only if you enjoyed it, I would really appreciate a subscription, it will help us make a lot more content, I absolutely love LEGO and want to talk about it as much as possible :)))))))Thanks for your time, hope to see you on the channel! Happy building!
  3. Hello fellow FOLs and enthusiasts. My name is Tamás an i am a TFOL AFOL from Transylvania. No, I am not a vampire, but keep that garlic nearby just in case... My story began some 20ish years ago when my parents bought me a chinese knockoff building set, whose pieces i lost in a matter of weeks. It went like this for 10 years, and then i received 6166 from Germany. That was a game changer. Then some chinese knockoffs supplemented my part collection, allowing me to build MOCs, evolving my building skills along the way. In may 2011 i discovered RoLUG, becoming an active members since then. Years passed, non-LEGO pieces were removed form my ever growing collection, MOCs became more diverse and larger, and here i am, a devout fan of CITY Fire theme (just the theme), Technic and trains. I'm not much of a collector, any set i buy is solely for parts. MOCs is what i enjoy doing, and i hope you will enjoy seeing them as much as i enjoy building them. But don't expect much, I am lightyears behind fellow romanian masters Vitreolum and Braker23

    Hello from Romania

Howdy everyone! I am Mihai, a 33 year old web developer, proud father of 2 boys, located in the awesome city of Cluj-Napoca, the official European Youth Capital for 2015 :) After a 15-year dark age, I rediscovered my long lost passion for Lego, thanks to my older son, which is now 4.5 years old. I started to buy massively, then shortly I discovered ROLUG, where I found an amazing community and made friends. Then I entered the world of Trial Trucks, and I never wanna leave! Since 3 months ago, I found this awesome forum, and decided to participate in all the contests I can. I am already at my third, see the voting topic here, there are true work of arts that the world must know :) I usually build TT cars, unusual vehicles and also Bionicle. See photos of my MOCs on my Flickr account, if you are curious and have the time. Thank you all, happy building!
