  1. Hello, I've just been doing some cleaning and found 4 of these posters for a Turtle Insanity competition that was run on Eurobricks back in 2014 and was wondering if anybody wanted them. Unfortunately when they were originally sent to me the poster tube was damaged and they all have damage to the poster (see 2nd picture) I'm in the UK and happy to send them worldwide for just postage cost. (in the UK in their original poster tube that would be £4.35, US it would be $10). I only have the one tube, so I would have to send all 4 to the same person, Unless someone is happy for me to fold the posters and send in envelopes (they are likely to get crease damage, but postage cost would be less) Each poster is 600mm x 440mm Comment below if you are interested and I will message you Thanks
  2. I have a question about this image, does anyone here know where it comes from? Was it ever part of a catalouge or a poster? I would really like to get a high res version of it in some form. Would love to hear if you know something!
  3. Hi guys, here is a little MOC I made of my favourite star wars poster, the Episode 1 teaser poster entitled 'Every Saga Has A Beginning' DSC_2328 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I loved the poster, thought it was so evocative and I wanted to try and recreate it in lego as a 3d Model. 2016-11-21_02-01-55 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The shadow was a bit tricky at first but I am pretty happy with how it turned out - if anyone has any other ideas on how to improve it I would love to know! Episode 1 - teaser by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Anyway, there isnt much to this post as there is really only one angle this MOC works! Hope you enjoy and any feedback, comments and advice welcome. Thanks

    [MOC] Inside Out: Anger

Hello, everyone! This is Arger from Disney Pixar's Inside Out movie! My happy build is based on this poster: You can see this MOC on Flickr
  5. Around mid-March of this year I decided to fool around with the new pdf versions of the LEGO Magazine, specifically the July 2014 issue, found here. I discovered some links in the page's source code that lead to the zoomed-in images of the first three pages, and I realized that those links were the same except for the page numbers. This surprised me, since this isn't usually how LEGO makes links, and I thought that maybe I could replace those numbers with later page numbers, with a view to recreating the Guardians of the Galaxy centerfold found in that issue. This worked, giving me two images to combine into one, which I did, giving me this image: Guardians of the Galaxy Teaser (centerfold from Jul-Aug 2014 LEGO Magazine) by Silent Nomad, on Flickr Then I thought about a website I'd used in the past to basically dissect PDF files, so I took the PDF version of the magazine and separated pages 24 and 25 from the rest with a program that does something similar to one of the things this website does, and ran it through the first website, which showed me two images that I was able to piece back together into this image: Guardians of the Galaxy Teaser (centerfold from Jul-Aug 2014 LEGO Magazine, without extra text) by Silent Nomad, on Flickr I then took that image and did a little editing, which basically consisted of adjusting the ppi (pixels per inch), and cropping just a bit off the top and bottom, which then gave me a 24x36 inch image, which I then made into a PDF file to preserve the size, as well as make it a bit harder to edit, and I finally decided to share that PDF with all of you as well, so here you go. I wanted to share the process I went through to get that poster so I could share my discoveries, as well as the resources I used to make them, so any one of you can do something similar if you find something worth using those methods on. -Nomad

    MOC: Batman Returns

Batman Returns This build was made for the MocAthalon contest over on Mocpages. My team is Cheeseburger Standoff. Anywho, this creation was built for the movie poster category, and depicts none other than the sweet 1992 poster for Batman Returns starring Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Danny DeVito. More images can be found on the build's Mocpage. The creation is based off this poster: Build Time: 10-15 Hours Enjoy! ~Nemo
  7. What are you going to do now, Bowman!? You are forsaken... As a conclusion to the final Hobbit movie, and to Middle Earth... The poster for the final Hobbit movie, the Battle of the Five Armies, built in Lego! Finally! After 2 months of work, hours of set up, buildings crashing/rebuilding, and adding lighting, it is finished! I built the Hobbit Poster for the Final Hobbit movie in Lego (excluding Smaug). Poster link. I had tons of fun building this, probably my favorite (but most tedious) part of this is the water and fire effect with it. I hope you like it too! Also my first and maybe last entry into the CCCXII 4th Wall: Backstory: My friend and I are doing a collab of this poster, and were going to enter it into the CCCXII. I was going to build Laketown in the picture, and he was going to build Smaug. I decided not to build the exact poster, but added my own artistic flare with the stone. Also, I don't have that much brown. :P What you see is basically everything, I have basically no more plates or tiles. I did have a ton of fun building and designing it however, which is most important. :) Problem: Unfortunately, Smaug is not ready. We are going to take pictures of both sections together at a later date, but after the CCCXII is over. However, I still wanted to enter into the CCCXII. Conclusion: so after we talked about it, I took the photo of Laketown, excluding Smaug. So this is only HALF of the collab. We will take photos of that at a later date. So this is my section, I hope you like it! In case you are wondering, this is what I have been working on for a while. :) Enjoy! Also, MERRY CHRISTMAS! Soli Deo Gloria! ~Matthew~
  8. Turtle Contest Poster revealed! The LEGO Group has revealed the awaited Turtle Contest poster, that features winners of the contest, Peter's original turtle design and turtles selected by the jury. Copies will be sent to everyone whose turtle appears on the poster, and it will also be handed out at the Fan Weekend in Skærbæk to registered visitors. If one of your turtle is featured on the poster, please send a PM to julochka containing your postal address and contact telephone number including country code. Thank again to TLG and all participants that made that contest a success!
