So almost all of my misb sets are from the 1990 to 1995 period. I have heard about "oxygen sensitive white bricks" and yellowing of sets that are still misb, so I am worried that I won't be able to keep them immune indefinitely. So far none of them have shown any signs of yellowing, even in the oldest ones, do you think that if they were going to yellow, they would have by now? I keep most of them in a dehumidified basement that gets a little sunlight (not directly) and the others in a closest that also gets very little sunlight. Is it possible to keep them new indefinitely or will they eventually yellow regardless?

So I was messing around with 70503 The Golden Dragon (the old/first set). And I notice the arm joints at the shoulders were stiff on Lloyd (The Golden Ninja). As I was trying to loosen the joints I thought just taken arms out would help. That is when I broke the arms off. Now I am wondering has this happen to anyone else? Is the plastic just poor in the first place? Then after messing with the torso A little more I was able to get the "rest of the arms" out. And now I am wondering if putting in some "green arms" in the torso would look alright.

Hello, My Fellow Lego Community! I need your help. I have searched the web, but have been unsuccessful in finding a classic Lego carrying case. It had a hard red plastic cover with a thin gray flappable plastic handle, and two gray plastic sliding "knobs" (not really knobs because they did not turn, only slide). It resembled a briefcase but was designed to hold Lego's. I got it back in the early 90's and someone recently discarded the only one I had. I contacted Lego's directly and they had no idea what I was referring to. They sent me samples of the same red cases you can find on eBay and sites alike...if it doesn't have a gray plastic handle, then it's probably not it. Does ANYBODY know, remember, or have the case I am referring to? Thank you for your help. Any feedback is much appreciated.

This is an interesting story about the Lego from a container knocked off a cargo ship in 1997, still routinely washing up on Cornish beaches. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-28367198 I've conflicting thoughts on this, it's amazing what good condition it seems to be in, also kinda fun that so much of it is ocean/pirate themed ... but plastic trash in our oceans is a big deal and not going away anytime soon.To that end I'm glad that Lego is a much 'better quality' toy, and not part of the throwaway culture we have. Not that that stops freak waves, obviously.

What type of plastic are Technic elements made of?

I know that normal bricks are made of ABS plastic, but what about technic elements? I would assume that axles and beams are made from another material than ABS. Connectors, joiners etc. are probably ABS. But I also want to know what a "safe" temperature of the various elements are? I can't seem to find anything on google
