  1. It's a rainy and cold evening in Scotland, and you are on the Hogwarts Express as a first year student. You have noted other students have changed from street-clothes into the black robes with the crest of your destination on the front: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You do the same, and then notice the train slowing down, and finally coming to a stop at a small station marked "HOGSMEADE" on a wooden platform sign. You don't want to get too wet in your nice new robes, and feel a bit lost in the hustle and bustle of older students departing and railway staff getting luggage off the train and onto the platform. You spot your trunk on the platform and detrain. It's raining less hard now, and a slightly portly-looking, very tall man in a beard and fur-lined coat comes down the platform shouting above the steam engine's noise; "First years with me!" He leads you and about dozen other 11-year old's away from the nice and neat (and warm!) station down to a series of boats on the water's edge of a huge lake not far from the train. He leads each student into the boat, and then boards the lead boat himself. He taps the oarlock of his boat with his umbrella, and all the boats move away in sync by themselves. You are then astounded to see a huge castle, perched on rocky cliffs on the other side of the lake, lit up by hundreds of candles under the moonlight of the clearing sky. The man then shouts out to everyone assembled in the tiny boats; "Welcome to Hogwarts!" (small note: This movie concept art was taken from the Harry Potter wiki sometime in 2015. It is NOT mine.) I have converted and combined this Hogsmeade Station from two different versions found on Rebrickable, and made it my own using pictures and guesswork. This design is supposed to go well with set 76388 - Hogsmeade Visit - (or my Winter Village MOCs) but of course, in the official Harry Potter canon it's on the other side of the lake from Hogsmeade proper. I removed the original version's snow piles from the roof and sidewalk, and will add printed 1x8 tiles saying the name of the station to the side walls where the plain black tiles. (I still haven't decided if I'm going to stay with Hogsmeade or try a different name instead.) This side features a ramp for luggage trolleys, a staircase to the station proper, and the entrance to the employees-only ticket counter area on the side closest to the camera. The lanterns on the front / rear are my own idea as additions (as is the double-sided platform clock), so the transition to the archway looks better. The station has a fully removable roof and new detachable platform. The model has two rooms under the removable roof, featuring seating from the Disney train set. One one side is the ticket office, with a cash register / ticket window and a mail sorting desk. (I couldn't decide to put that in or not. I know owls are used in HP, but where are they dispatched from if the mail is coming from Hogsmeade, not Hogwarts?) The other is the waiting room with a few bench seats w/ individual arms and a steam heater unit. The station is in the planning stages right now, and *should* be ordered by August. (I now hope it will be ordered someday, too many things on the Wishlist as of now, such as my Hogsmeade-inspired post office and non-haunted Shrieking Shack MODs!) Thoughts, comments, suggestions, and complaints are always welcome!
  2. My new Star Wars MOC: Pasaana Everything is ready, units arranged, photos taken I built one universal baseplate, on which I present 3 scenes from The Rise of Skywalker! The width of the base is less than 70cm, so this is the largest model I have built so far. I have a supply of tan bricks for long time I used about 1000 bricks to build the base, it is even difficult to count it, there were many orders on Bricklink. I used my other projects in the scenes: First Order Transporter, TIE Whisper, Pasaana Loader Skimmer with First Order Treadspeeder. Full review and one additional bonus scene on my YouTube! 3. Hi! New MOC is ready, First Order Treadspeeder The project has only 80 bricks, so construction was very fast. I have prepared a tutorial for this project for you, you will be able to build this vehicle yourself. There were three reasons why I built this vehicle: - I bought the 75250 set and I didn't like the speeder from the set, I wanted something better, - I need this vehicle for my new diorama - Pasaana, - that I haven't seen many projects of this speeder, so I decided to do it my own way. The Vehicle appeared in The Rise of Skywalker movie, on the Pasaana planet. MOC is available on Rebrickable with list of parts: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-44062/EDGE OF BRICKS/first-order-treadspeeder/?inventory=1#comments

    [MOC] First Order UA-TT

Hi! New MOC is ready, First Order Urban Assault Triped Transport Now only in LDD, soon I'll start build real one. 903 pieces The walker appeared in E9, as described is based on the old AT-AP, dimensions similar to AT-ST, but this one is better armed. During the attack, he uses the front arm to stabilize. Used by First Order in urban areas. I was already planning this project in January, but I gave up due to the difficult shape. I came back to it now, because I was inspired by another model designed by @julio.mocsw instagram, check his profile! I decided to go back to this project. Head modeling is a real nightmare, but somehow I did it, and there is a space for First Order Driver. How do you like it? More on my YouTube channel - Edge of Bricks

    [MOC] First Order AT-AT

Hi! Has anyone of you ever seen MOC from First Order AT-AT? With every detail, correct proportion etc.? Then I invite you to the presentation of my next walker! Currently, only a virtual project, finished at 99%, can change a few more details. The design has 2034 bricks, it fits perfectly with scale to my AT-M6! :) The construction process lasted very quickly, about 3-4 weeks, now I'm starting to make a list of parts and prepare for construction. The PDF instructions will be available in 2020! :) more on my YouTube!
  7. Heyho folks! Last weekend I started to built this litte version of a First Order Siege Dreadnought for the "IdS-MiMi 2018 - Minimize Me" contest. Not that huge and heavy like my other MOCs but still fun and engaging ;D In this album you can find more pictures and a breakdown of this tiny ship! Greetings Kommander

Instruction by Kommander, auf Flickr You can find more pictures HERE Original post: Hey Eurobricks I wanna share with you my new project - a First Order Resurgent-class Star Destroyer in UCS-scale. To avoid another long time MOC in WIP Nirvana I started this time with little help from LDD. Dimensions, main frame, angles... took me about a year to set these parts. Because of the LDD file I generated instructions and and part lists for me. On the picture you can see an early version of the ship and one of the latest with much more details. For the moment only one digital render of the ship. There will be some adjustments/tweaks in the "real" version but most of it works fine for me. I already finished the main frame with the instructions... and its good! More pictures will be on flickr Greetings Kommander

  14. I know in these months , Lego receives a lot of order so they can be late delivered . I ordered a lego technic set 42042 on about 11/11/2015 and now where is still no email which include stracking number or confirm that they started to ship . Is that normal ?
  15. Lego Star Wars Origins: Episode 1 - Chancellor's Arrest Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum. I was a member here around six years ago or so but I forgot my password and login. Anyways, I thought I'd make my first real post and share a small brickfilm/stopmotion project I have recently completed. Bear in mind this video lasts for around four and a half minutes of animation which took me around two days to shoot and two or three days to edit the individual images and final video along with the credit roll and introduction. I plan to continue this series by incorporating my own story lines or recreating famous duels anywhere in the universe after the arrest of Palpatine. I hope you enjoy the film and possibly subscribe to my Youtube channel if you wish to see more brickfilms from me. Thanks a lot!
  16. I watched a youtube video of the Mata Nui Saga recently, and in the comments one guy mentioned how it seemed out of order, so I got the idea to try to rearrange it so the flashbacks were all before the "current" time, to try to make it flow more smoothly. At first I couldn't figure out why the subtitles weren't lining up with the images, because I changed everything the same way, so it should have lined up. A BZPower member suggested that I could re-number the subtitle designations themselves, instead of rearranging the numbers in the main xml file, so I tried that and it works. I think everything looks pretty cool now, and I think it'd make a cool introduction to the G1 story, too. I wanted to know what you guys think, so here it is, and here's the original file for those who don't already have it, so you can compare them. -Nomad
  17. Update: for an updated version, please scroll down ----------------------------------------------------------------- Ancient Greece has always fascinated me. I studied their language in high school, and this year I visited Greece itself. And although I've been fond of their architecture since a long time, I was impressed by everything I saw there . People say that Greece is just a pile of ancient rocks . But I say that pile of rocks is quite a sight . This inspired me to build some columns in Lego. The Dorian order is very typical for Greece, but not much of a challenge for Lego . I had a go at the Ionian order, but that turned out way too big. Spirals are really hard to do. I was left with the Corinthian order. Although not the most typical for Ancient Greece, the design fascinates me. With the acanthus-leaves, it looks like a tree. It makes temples look like an extention of nature. Not a better thing to do if you want to provoce the super-natural, the divine. [MOC] Corinthian column - capital by Bert.VR, on Flickr So this is what I came up with. The model consists of 412 bricks. _________ [MOC] Corinthian column by Bert.VR, on Flickr______[MOC] Corinthian column - exploded by Bert.VR, on Flickr I wanted to make it more or less in minifig scale, and I think I managed that . The tooth pieces (part ID 49668) made nice leaves, and the rest followed. The problem was fitting as many as possible in a small space. The eight-bar-rings (part ID 75937) prooved to be pretty handy. I used three of them in the capital, and one in the base. It really is the heart of this model. The actual column was rather hard to make. The technique from the Lego website made a column with eight tiles forming a cilinder. That was too small. I ended up with twelve tiles, connected by the cross/steering wheel/winch handle/I-don't-know-what-to-call-it-piece (to make things simple: part ID 48723). It turned out quite well, although I have some minor doubts concerning the strength of the construction. I'm not too happy with the base , but that's not the main focus, and perhaps the pillar should be a little longer. But that shouldn't be too hard to change, and it had to fit on the picture anyway. [MOC] Corinthian column - base by Bert.VR, on Flickr So despite its flaws, I hope you like it. This design could be used in numerous Greek or Roman builds, and I made sure there were studs on the top and on the bottom to connect it. I hope you get inspired...

    [MOC] Ionic column

If you have a good memory, you may remember the Corinthian column I made some time ago. I got a lot of good comments on that one (thank you!), and I wanted to build some more... stuff . I wanted to revisit that magnificent Ancient Greece, with it's buildings. I wanted to give those ruined pieces of art their former glory again. I wanted to build... some more columns. Real Greek ones, this time. Not that modern Roman stuff. If you have a perfect memory, you may remember that I said the Ionic column was hard to do because of its spirals (volutes, if you prefer fancy terms). I did have a go at designing one however, but I began to think the spirals were impossible to do . And if you don't get those right, your column is not right. You can take that quite literally. I made a compromise on the volutes, but had to fight all kinds of structural blabla . If you have a good eyesight, you may have noticed that I'm presenting now an Ionic column nontheless. What happened? Some would call it a miracle, some just inspiration. I found the Indiana Jones whip. It was just perfect. The size, the shape, the extra details, the easy connections, the look and feel. I felt this whip was made for something more than being in every Indiana Jones set. It became my new best friend. Once I had my spiral (the only spirally part in LEGO, I believe), the column flowed onto my LDD screen (and a bit later, on my render screen). At once, all the structural hustle and bustle fell away. At almost the first try, I had something I was completely happy with. A worthy sibling of my Corinthian column. And that's what you see in front of you. Before anyone asks: the column should be buildable in real life. I know the whips aren't available in white, but everything else apart form the One Rings I used, is available in white (now even the croissant!). Furthermore, I believe the column's quite stable. It uses the same technique that I learned from Jamie, in the designer video on the LEGO Creator website . This is my tribute to that video, because it made me want to make columns five years ago. I've come a long way... . So I hope you enjoy this Ionic column in minifig scale, containing 254 bricks. And I looked it up for you: this is the first one in LEGO to appear on the internet. Hope you appreciate it.
