    75290 Mos Eisley Cantina [video]

Stop Motion Review of 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina https://youtu.be/QDn8msIszyc Year: 2020 Pieces: 3187 Minifigs: 21 Brickset : https://brickset.com/sets/75290-1/Mos-Eisley-Cantinas Bricklink: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=75290-1&name=Mos%20Eisley%20Cantina&category
  2. Hello everyone, today I present you a small review of my section of the Dowager Queen (MOC-53798 from 6211 on rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-53798/6211/dowager-queen-75290-expansion-mos-eisley-cantina/#comments), which I have rebuilt as an extension to my 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina. Since some parts were not available in the right color, or only at highly overpriced prices, I decided to change the colors and give the Queen my own personal touch. I am very happy with the result and on top of that - behind the Cantina in my showcase - it looks great. The following are some of the key points of the MOC: 541 pieces 1 hour construction time 13cm deep x 20cm long and 25cm high In short, 6211 has chosen the perfect dimensions to fit into a diorama consisting of the Queen and the Cantina. The version of the Dowager Queen is the version from the Battlefront games, not the one from the movie. But that doesn't bother me personally. Quite the opposite.

Was a little disappointed in the latest version so I decided to beef up 75052.
  5. Hi guys, just a quick update but a micro build I am very pleased with! I have wanted to build a micro Falcon for sometime now and this actually took a bit longer than I had hoped but I am really happy with the end result. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Its only 4x4 but I have managed to get in all the details that make the Falcon the iconic ship it is. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The base wasn't part of my original idea but I had the Falcon on a tan plate just as a random support and suddenly thought it would look quite cool if there was a micro Mos Eisley below. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The colour of the Falcon is white because as a kid to me it was always white, the toys might have got the colours wrong but they just stuck with me!
  6. Hello star wars lego people. Proxy here, first post. I've been collecting the star wars sets for a couple years now. I have a bad habit of buy two of each set to see if I can combine them into an improved version of the set. My latest run was at the Mos Eisely Cantina. Using two Cantina sets, along with some left over parts from my advanced Jabba's Palace, I made the follow improvements. I'm not 100% complete and satisfied with it yet, but its a good start. I wanted to keep the same feel as the original set, and not build something insanely accurate to the movies. I feel this still holds onto the heart of a lego set. [MOC] Mos Eisley Cantina

“No droids allowed” Mos Eisley Cantina_00 by L-space, on Flickr A few years ago I came with the idea to expand my 4501 Mos Eisley Cantina set with extra booths. These were to house my space minifig collection or at least the figs that I still had. With the arrival of the Collectible Minifigures I reset my goal to include these as well. Over the years I picked up some more minifigs in bricklink-orders I missed as a kid so it became to represent a modest collection for real. With the pieces bought for the expansion the MOC could house 44 minifigs. The idea was to copy the booth and simply add another via a hinge brick to the side. Then the news leaked that a new cantina set would be released. After my first 75052 Mos Eisley Cantina set I came to the conclusion that adding booths by hinge brick just would not work for me anymore. So the whole idea was rethought and with searches on the internet I found a map of the Cantina on Wookieepedia. After several tries and many redesigns I got the layout as I wanted it. The MOC is now based on two sets 75052. I tried to keep the colourscheme as close as possible to the first Cantina-set. Some fixtures and detalling comes from the Wii Complete Saga game and some just from my own imagination. To top it of I decided it needed some extra’s, so the revolving sign was made. For the Star Tours sign I made the Starspeeder 3000 based on the original design by Chris Deck and the other side is of course a take on a wellknown poster. And what would a Mos Eisley Cantina be without a “No Droids Allowed” sign. Since the hinge bricks didn’t cut it for me anymore and the MOC would become too big I just went for technic-pins to make it more managable. It now seperates into five parts. The back, the front, two sides and the bar. The MOC spans 50 studs by 79 studs and beyond that several vehicles and minifigs were added for a more grand appearence. This including part of my very first LEGO set (920 Rocket Launch Pad): a moonbuggy with driver and the new Exo-Suit. Also several other MOC scan be included to create a more grand display for conventions and shows for instance. To date: Imperial Communication Post, Outhouse, Droid-shop and the Taxi-speeder. The idea of displaying the Collectible Minifigures disappeared in favour of adding at least one minifig of every space theme ever released, still including the Collectable Minifigures range. This then expanded a bit to space related themes as I could just imagine my Exo-suit standing right next tot his. The search on bricklink and brickowl for minifigs then showed me some minifigs never relaesed in Europe and I just had to have them as well. To complete the Cantina four custom minifigs are added: Wuher, Tork and two guest appearances. The complete minifig line-up now counts 84 minifigs including the Alien Conquest Clinger and can be found here: Mos Eisley Minifig Count. So after my longest intro ever I hope you will enjoy my version of the Mos Eisley Cantina: Mos Eisley Cantina_05 by L-space, on Flickr Mos Eisley Cantina_25 by L-space, on Flickr Mos Eisley Cantina_33 by L-space, on Flickr Mos Eisley Cantina_06 by L-space, on Flickr There are a lot more, 46 in total, pictures of details and the interior on flickr.

  13. In this MOC I put the dome of the second Cantina set to good use (the first being the Outhouse). The Empire has established large bases on Tatooine. To keep them in contact small communication posts were set up. This is an example of one such posts made to fit into Mos Eisley. Several antennas to keep in touch with troops all over the planet and to listen for rebel messages. Complete with a space communication array. I am still working on my own Cantina though. No telling when it will be finished. 15. OoC: See the rest of the story: Season 1 Shortly after leaving the asteroid’s surface I received a message from Rebellion message drop-point that detailed the need to get in touch with some Bothan spies who had some information for the Rebel Alliance. Being an intelligence officer, I also received the tip that there was someone on Tatooine who might know their whereabouts. I managed to muddle my way through the controls and set a course following the Rimma Trade Route further away from the core until I got to Eriadu where I headed coreward on the Hydian Way. That brought me to Darkknell where I followed my nav-charts along one of the back-water routes till I got to the planet that was furthest from the bright center of the universe, as Rebel hero Luke Skywalker used to say before he went missing after the battle of Hoth. I had never met the man, but Yeoman had before he was stationed on Corellia and he had told me all about him. I landed in Mos Eisley and followed my lead to a small junk dealer on the edge of town. As soon as it was obvious that I wanted something from him he gave me two eye’s worth of attention while the third watched the rest of the foot-traffic past his shop for other potential customers. I slipped him a small sum of credits and said, “I hear you are the one to talk to about information.” He glanced at the sum of the credit chip with one eye and very quickly I only had the attention of one of his eyes as now two were dedicated to the other lifeforms around us. “It depends on what kind of information,” he responded. I slipped him a much larger sum of credits. “I’m looking for a Bothan. One who has managed to escape Imperial entanglements with some special information.” Now one eye was on me, one was on the credits, and the last was looking for any nearby stormtroopers. “This is certainly enough to get you the information on finding a Bothan, but for the specific Bothan you seek, it’ll cost you a little more.” I knew this junker’s price would only escalate, so I had kept the bulk of my payment in reserve. I handed it over and said, “Yes, I’ve heard it’s the specifics that can be the hardest to accommodate. This should be enough though I think.” The credits got all three eyes for a moment and the next thing I knew I was being handed a piece of flimsiplast with coordinates and an address. “You’ll want to head to Fondor,” the junker said, “Then just follow the directions. Oh, and you never got any of this from me, you hear?” “Fondor!” I couldn’t believe it. I had just traveled half-way across the galaxy just to find that I needed to go right back to where I had come from. And if I was going to go to Fondor then I needed grab that would blend in a little better. “How much for that body armor there?” I asked. Moments later we had haggled out a price and I was on my way back to the Rough Edges. OoC: Please feel free to comment and of course, I want this judged

    MSFC: Mos Eisley Spaceport

Here's my entry for Si-MOCs' awesome Micro Sci-Fi Contest. I decided to build the scene from the Mos Eisley Spaceport where Han Solo encounters Jabba the Hutt. A couple of overview shots. And the Falcon up close. If I get a couple more thermal detonator tiles I may have to build the whole ship... Thanks to the sponsors and organizers of this contest, and thanks for viewing! And maybe voting... ;)
