    LOTR Barad-dur MOC

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. Barad-dûr was held together by dark magic and was the greatest fortress in all of Middle-earth. It was originally built in the Second Age and razed after Sauron's defeat in the War of the Last Alliance. Sauron had Barad-dûr rebuilt during the Third Age as he rose back into power, but the tower was forever destroyed immediately following the destruction of the One Ring, as it was constructed and held together using the Ring's dark magic. This project includes 5.364 pieces! In comparison, the 10189 Taj Mahal had 5.922 pieces! Here you can see the size compared to the Lego "The Tower of Orthanc". I think that's the perfect height for the tower, not too small and not too big. Please click on the images, to see them in HD. You can find all images on my Flickr album. It has 9 floors and they are: (ranging from below) : A basement with an old skeleton The Throne room A blacksmith with a door A Palantir Room A prison A kitchen A room with the helmets of the Nazgûl A library with ancient books about witchcraft and dark magic And a chamber with the 9 rings of the Nazgûl The minifigures are: King Elendil with his sword Narsil Isildur with a sword 2 soldiers, one with sword & shield and one with spear & shield 2 elven warriors with spears and shields Gil-galad with his spear Aiglos and blue shield Elrond with his sword Hadhafang 1 orc archer with a shield 1 orc with spear and shield Sauron with the One Ring and his mace A banner carrier with a lash 1 orc with sword and shield @all viewers: Now it's up to you. Vote for my project on lego ideas and make the dream come true. Please also look at my other projects and consider supporting and sharing them with your friends! :D Thank you for your attention.
  2. Bree and the Buckleberry Ferry The Buckleberry Ferry is a raft-ferry at the main crossing point of the river Brandywine from The Shire to Buckland in Bree-land. Some miles east lies of the Village of Bree, the chief-village of Bree-land. This is the only area in Middle-earth where men, dwarves, and hobbits dwell side by side. Bree and the Buckleberry Ferry is a collaboration with myself and Northern LEGO. We built this for the Norwegian convention På Kloss Hold 2018 that was held in April, where it won a cool award. We used Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring as reference when building most of this, especially the raft-ferry and the Prancing Pony Inn. We're very proud of the outcome and the collab was a huge success for us. Let us know what you think, and I hope you like it. ____________________________________________ For more LOTR and castle MOCs, follow me on Flickr.
  3. Hi everyone, now I want to show you my Minas Morgul project. I hope you enjoy. ;-) (click on the main image to get to my project on ideas.lego.com) Please click on the images to see the lager version. You can see more images of this project (and my other projects) on my flickr page. Functions: This mighty fortress includes 2.603 bricks. The inner part of the fortress, the bridge with the 2 staues and the ramp can be removed. You can connect the ramp with the fortress. There are 4 catapults on wall and they have many ammunition. My thought is that the green transparent bricks on the wall, will glow in the dark. The bricks could look like white bricks at daylight. (like the spiders of mirkwood does) There is the throne of the Witch king inside the tower. Weapons, armor and some magic potion are placed in the tower. Figures: Frodo Baggins Samwise Gamgee Gollum the Witch-king of Angmar 1 Fell-beast Gothmog the lieutenant of Minas Morgul 5 Morgul-orcs @all viewers: Now it's up to you. 4. Being a bit tired of big MOCs, I decided to create a series of 16x16 models based on The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit. I've actually created them over the course of 2 years, but never got around to take pictures and post them, until now. Some of them are based on existing sets and even reusing whole parts of them, other are more original. The purpose was to display the minifigs and the best parts of the official sets. Rules: - Strictly 16x16, some overhang allowed. - No visible studs, if possible. - Very limited color palette. Rivendell set was the first Lego I bought in over 15 years. I was amazed at how beautiful it looked, compared to the early 90's sets. Here's my tribute to it, and a way to display the great Elrond and Arwen minifigs. White Council Thorin is brought before Thranduil, one of the best scenes in The Hobbit. Love the way Lee Pace is lounging on his throne, his portrayal of Thranduil was absolutely perfect. There's a lightbrick underneath, with a mirror directing the light into the Palantir. Unfortunately, by the time I got to take some pictures, the battery has died. I dismantled my Moria set quite shortly after building it, since I needed parts for a Helm's Deep MOC. Here's my tribute to it, and a way to display the cave troll, Boromir and Gimli.
  5. Hi everyone, I want to show you my Hobbit Showdown at Ravenhill project. You can support it on lego ideas. ;-) This project is about the final fights at Ravenhill from The Hobbit - The Battle of five Armies. Legolas fights against Bolg, and Thorin Oakenshield fights against Azog the Defiler. Thorin stands on the edge of a frozen river. A frozen water fall leads into an abyss. Legolas uses his bow from a tower, to help Thorin against the orcs. Please klick on the images to see the lager version. You can see more images of this project (and my other projects) on my flickr page. Legolas had no more arrows, so he has to find a way onto the other side. He uses a troll to crush into the tower and that builds a bridge. But on the other side stands Bolg. So they have to fight on the tower(bridge). ;-) Bolg destroys the tower with his mace. More and more stones are falling down. An orc falls on the bridge and tears Bolg with him. Legolas saves Thorins life by throwing Orcrist into an orc. Bolg has returned and fights against Legolas. The tower collapses and Legolas has to be quick to reach the cliff. Now Thorin has to fight against Azog on an ice floe. Thorin outwits him and Azog falls into the water. Is Azog really defeated? Functions: the tower falls down the water fall, the tower and the ramp are connected with dowels the tower could collapse the ice floe is rotatable you could plug Azog or any other minifigure underneath the ice floe This project includes: 954 pieces Thorin Oakenshield with sword and Orcrist Azog the Defiler with a stone block on a chain Legolas with bow and 2 knives Bolg with a mace 2 Gundabad orcs with swords 1 troll @all viewers: Now it's up to you.
