Hello everybody, the time available to me is less and less but I managed to insert another small piece inside my Winter Village: The Old Newsstand. At the moment it is still in a "summer" version but will soon be covered with snow to better match the context. The little moc was born inspired by the old newsstands of historic cities like Milan (the city I live in) and Paris. I am aware that it still has some "flaws" but, unfortunately for the time available, it is already a result to be able to present it to you. I hope you like it and I hope to be able to finish it all for this winter. Small SPOILER: Compared to the photos posted previously, the village has almost doubled and still lacks a small space to finish all the tables available. Alessio

HispaBrick Magazine 036 is available The latest issue of HispaBrick Magazine is now available. This time we wanted to pay a little homage to our beloved Classic Space, so blue and grey is the prevailing colour in this issue. Oton Ribić will explain a bit about the essentials of spacecraft design, Ahmad Sahar will teach us how to program LEGO Mindstorms RI5 with Python and with the help of the red astronaut, Mark Favreau teaches you the basics of how to take good pictures of your models. We review the Classic Space sets that provided us with so many hours of playtime when we were little kids (or not so little) and if you are also a fan of retro videogames, you are in luck because Johan Alexanderson has combined these two hobbies and we will show you the online game he has created. We continue to talk to and build links with the communities around the world and AFOLs from all over the world show us their creations in the Top MOC section. We are also pleased to share the results of the survey we conducted on BrickLink and its acquisition by the LEGO Group together with the conclusions we have drawn from it. We would like to thank all the contributors and readers of the magazine for the time they have dedicated to this magazine. Hello all, Many of you may have come across my father JimH in previous forums related to this topic. If you have read any of his posts, you would understand that I am one of the five winners of Lego Magazine's 14k Solid Gold C-3PO Lego mini figure giveaways from the Spring/Summer of 2007. As I am much older now and will be graduating from college in the Spring, my desire to sell the piece has increased. The revenue generated from selling the figure will help put me in a nicer financial standing as I head off into the real world. I will have my father comment on this thread as proof that I am his son and owner of the C-3PO figure. If you have any questions about the piece itself, estimates to what it is worth, or would like to make an offer on the piece, please do not hesitate to post in this thread or email me directly at -removed- May the force be with you! P.S. I am aware that my father has posted pictures of the figure in the past. Unfortunately, I am currently working as an intern away from home this summer. This weekend i found many copy's on my door mat from a interview last month i heaved with the international tug magazine LEKKO. Because this was not my first interview for a magazine, news site ore TV and heaved learned a lot from earlier experience that it's write more in my way, but the outcome is not writing exactly what i have told the interviewer. Still this is free promotion and i am proud that they ask me to stand with a 3 paged article. And we have to say that the response so far has been awesome! We can’t thank you readers enough. It is for you and the LEGO® train community that we wanted to start BMR. You have all been wonderfully supportive of us as we get this project off the ground. In our first week of BMR being online we’ve had 5,500 views to our site, 64 registered users, 15 published articles, and 275 likes to our Facebook page. And this is only just the start. We look forward to growing and serving the LEGO train hobby for a long time to come. But in the meantime, to celebrate our first week we have something special for you, our readers. RAILBRICKS Issue 12 front cover RAILBRICKS Magaizine now available for download through Brick Model Railroader RAILBRICKS was a LEGO® train fan magazine produced from 2008 to 2014. 15 issues were produced in total. Several of the staff here at BMR were contributors to RAILBRICKS. While we were all sad to see the magazine fade away, we are proud of the issues produced, and the legacy that the magazine left behind. Without RAILBRICKS, BMR may not even be here today. The RAILBRICKS issues themselves still hold up amazingly well and contain a treasure trove of information for the LEGO train hobbyist. So we are very pleased that we can now offer the entire run of RAILBRICKS magazine, through Brick Model Railroader, free for download. If you are unaware, in some European countries a Lego Bionicle magazine was released, each issue came with a free gift, unfortunately only 2 issues were ever released, so I have created this challenge to create some gifts to "continue" the magazine. All you need to do is submit an image of your design and a small description, it must have relevance to the Bionicle 2015-2016 story and be around the size of the official gifts below. The best design will be featured in a stop-motion movie releasing next year along with a small section of the credits devoted to the winner. Issue 026 of HispaBrick Magazine® — the free magazine made by and for fans of LEGO constructions — is now available. Hi all, Does anybody know what happened to Railbricks (www.railbricks.com)? My team and I wrote an article about our fully automated train layout, send it to the editor in November. He promised to published it somewhere around January. Contacted him now and then and he promised each time that it would be published 'soon'. On my latest email, he didn't respond. Does anybody know how he is doing? /Hans

Around mid-March of this year I decided to fool around with the new pdf versions of the LEGO Magazine, specifically the July 2014 issue, found here. I discovered some links in the page's source code that lead to the zoomed-in images of the first three pages, and I realized that those links were the same except for the page numbers. This surprised me, since this isn't usually how LEGO makes links, and I thought that maybe I could replace those numbers with later page numbers, with a view to recreating the Guardians of the Galaxy centerfold found in that issue. This worked, giving me two images to combine into one, which I did, giving me this image: Guardians of the Galaxy Teaser (centerfold from Jul-Aug 2014 LEGO Magazine) by Silent Nomad, on Flickr Then I thought about a website I'd used in the past to basically dissect PDF files, so I took the PDF version of the magazine and separated pages 24 and 25 from the rest with a program that does something similar to one of the things this website does, and ran it through the first website, which showed me two images that I was able to piece back together into this image: Guardians of the Galaxy Teaser (centerfold from Jul-Aug 2014 LEGO Magazine, without extra text) by Silent Nomad, on Flickr I then took that image and did a little editing, which basically consisted of adjusting the ppi (pixels per inch), and cropping just a bit off the top and bottom, which then gave me a 24x36 inch image, which I then made into a PDF file to preserve the size, as well as make it a bit harder to edit, and I finally decided to share that PDF with all of you as well, so here you go. I wanted to share the process I went through to get that poster so I could share my discoveries, as well as the resources I used to make them, so any one of you can do something similar if you find something worth using those methods on. -Nomad

I suppose many of you have the new BLOCKS mag that came out almost two weeks ago in WHSmiths stores across the UK, but I noticed there is no topic for it here. So what are your thoughts on the mag? Personally I thought it was a great read, however I was annoyed by the amount of spelling errors and in the contents, the reviews don't match up with their true pages. Let's hear your feedback!

Is there a way to see if my 2-year subscription to the magazine is up? It's just that I saw some talk about the May-June issue in the Historic forum and I haven't received it yet. If so, I can just renew but I just wanna make sure I don't end up getting double copies.

Hello, A little later than usual, but here we are again. LEGO Technic Club Magazine (from the 90's)

Hi, a Dutch Lego website called miniland.nl has a large collection of Dutch Lego magazines, but recently, they updated their magazine page including many other magazines. Even a few Technic Club magazines! So, as most of you can't read Dutch, I thought, I'll compile all the pictures in pdf's, so you guys can read them too You can dowload them here, a total of 5 issues. I'm wondering; does anyone have more issues? If so, would you be so kind to scan them, I'm a real Lego "media" collecter, I have already about 15/20 GB of Lego files on my pc (and I think others like to read it too ).
