Discovering the Battle of Hoth on screen is one of those childhood moments I'll always remember. So my first ever walker MOC had to be the AT-AT from Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. And for such an iconic scene, making a diorama-style build was mandatory. At only 19cm (7,4") high, this Midi-Scale AT-AT consists of 924 pieces (1,317 in total with the diorama base & T-47), and is accurately Nanofig-scaled. It features a movable head and fully articulated legs, allowing many different poses. Working at such a compact scale, capturing fine surface detail and smooth, gapless angles for the body required a great deal of unique techniques. My main goal was to make the model feel deceivingly heavy and massive despite its small size, and of course achieve that prop / toy vibe I'm so fond of. The most challenging parts of the AT-AT were definitely the head and legs: the head for its subtle angles and challenging shape, and the legs for proportions, joints, feet, and very slight width differences as you go towards the bottom. Nanofigs (or trophy figs) scale perfectly to both the AT-AT and T-47, which also scale accurately to each other. The diorama base allows the AT-AT feet to be connected in various positions, and can accommodate two flying T-47s. This 358-piece base is optional and comes in a separate parts list, for builders who prefer displaying the model solely (picture 7 in the Flickr album). Parts list also include a string piece that can be easily added to reproduce the harpoon scene (picture 5 in the Flickr album). â–º Instructions for the AT-AT are available at BrickVault. The EF76 Nebulon-B Frigate has to be one of my favorite ships from the original trilogy. After rewatching the beautiful ending scene in Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, I decided to take on the Midi-Scale challenge once again. This very compact model is made of 1,464 pieces and measures 48cm. With this design, I tried to maximize the density factor in the smallest, most convenient size possible. The Nebulon-B features a movie-accurate, fully asymmetrical design, from side panels to greebles and surface detail. It also includes cannons, sensors, an accurate and intricate bridge section, a streamlined water tank, and many small details seen on the original ship. Reproducing the various front assemblies, small buildings in the back and all the greebles around the engine section took lots of fine-tuning, mindful part choices, and fun gap-filling sessions to closely match the ILM prop model. The building process isn't too long nor complex: I once again went for a fully modular approach, and the reasonable part count makes it both a manageable and relatively affordable build. The EF76 comes with a wide built-in stand and can be moved around easily. It can even be grabbed and held by its long middle section which is made of a sturdy technic liftarm configuration. â–º Instructions for the Nebulon-B are available at BrickVault! Hi all. I started this little project as soon as I saw pictures of the Dagobah Jedi Training set, already into the swing of sub 30cm builds I thought the little piece of wing protruding from the swamp would be an ideal starting point for an X-Wing. This modification is a combination of a small stand (in the boardered diorama style) with my Midi X-Wing, plus some swampy decoration. The swamp-stand can connect to the Dagobah set by removing one of the silver grill tiles and using the protruding studs for the connection, or the stand can also sit seperately. The Dagobah set's bit of wing can be hidden behind Yoda's hut and the hinge area conveniently disguised with a single piece of foliage. I confess the Star Wars theme is far from my favorite thing, and I know, this is far from a winning material. However, I just wanna have fun. I had just one small Star Wars set in 1999 (Luke Vs 2 speed bikers) when I was young, the only part I could find was a very used chrome lightsaber. I don't have any Star Wars Sets since then. Here is project I've been toying with since November - UCS X34 Landspeeder MOC. There has been a lack of land vehicles in the UCS line-up. I built with LDD initially and after six versions I ended my journey with this - although updates are already brewing. It measures 22.5 inches in length, 15.5 inches in width and 14.5 inches in height with the stand at 2798 pieces. Would love to hear any comments or critiquing on this. I am by no means an experienced MOC builder as this is only my second MOC - the first being a UCS Tie Fighter. I had the best time doing this and I'm looking forward to my next build. This is a set TLG has not made since 2002, and I feel it really needs to be remade. The false 2016 rumor, which turned out to be Yoda's CW Jedi Starfighter, was particularly disappointing. Here is my take on it. It could very well be a $25 set. You can remove the roof to see the interior. Plus the walls fold open! You can see Yoda's bed and his pot of food. Hi guys, so I have been very busy recently with my builds! I have a lot to share starting with this recreation of a classic scene. I'm only a beginner, but as I start to grow as a Youtuber, I would one day like to make a longer (like 10 minutes) fully voiced Lego Stopmotion! This is a project I've been working on from time to time during the summer. A bobblehead is a toy figure with an oversized head that is connected to the body with a spring. When you lightly tap on its head it wobbles (or bobbles) back and forth for a while. I was thinking about how a bobblehead could be made by LEGO bricks, and how the wobbling effect could be built. There is no real LEGO spring that can be used for this purpose, so I had to think of something else to use. After some trial and error I found a simple technic using an LEGO antenna piece which creates a wobbling effect that works really well. The video below shows how it works in reality. I created an Ideas project of it as well, so please have a look and I would appreciate if you gave it your support. I decided to recreate six characters from the original Star Wars movie into LEGO bobbleheads - Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Boba Fett, Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper. The head can also be turned in all directions like in the image below. Hope you enjoy it!

There, some heavy breathing from Lord Vader for intro I'm more of a lurker in this parts of the forum (mostly I built with Technic) but since my pocket sponsored a couple of SW sets in the past few months, my fingers got kinda itchy and I just had to build something SW-themed. As you can see I started small, but it was a lot of fun - this is the first time I tried to put together some greebling of my own and I really like this SNOT stuff too At first it all started as just a minifig treadmill, but then I decided to coat it with a bit of a parody on the Death Star Final duel scene/set, which, as you can see, donated most of the parts. Of course, me being a Technic guy, I couldn't resist using some Technic parts - the stickers on the treadmill are from set 42032 :-) And that energy glow behing the column is not PS magic, I actually managed to get the PF LEDs back there. The Empire Strikes Back's Duel on Cloud City between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader is one of the most iconic and significant scene in the Star Wars saga and in film history as well. Also emotionally this is the most dramatic turning point or climax in the whole story. In that case this epic moment deserves a Lego set. Lego already released the 10123 Cloud City set in 2003 roughly with all the Bespin scenes. Now we're focusing on the lower levels throughout the chamber, where Vader revealed the truth to Luke. The project based on the original location that we see in the movie and also uses the behind the scene photos as reference for the sizes, shapes, colors as accurately as possible. Once every blue moon I build a Star Wars MOC. My last one was five years ago! As I was building for a local geek event I was displaying at, I decided on a mashup. The microscale Sandcrawler was built from a few pictures from the film. Luke is custom as I do not actually have a flesh-tone figure of him or even a New Hope version. I stole my brother-in-law's alarm clock. I really don't need to explain the reference do I? Anyhop, here is my MOC. Comment and critique as you wish.

This was made for my new video that was made in 22 hours. In the photo I included the original plate in the top left corner. Alot of the fx I added in was a rust texture for the speeder along with dust and some color correction. Alot of the parts in the speeder came from the Hulkbuster suit I made for an Avengers video awhile back. If you would like to check out the speeder in action here's the video below.
