  1. Conclusion A quiet day ended with the demise of Tony (jluck). The jurors seemed to be like lambs to the slaughter, falling silently into line behind Gary Johnson (Kintober). "Mama mia! You can't do this me-!" Night fell, and a dark shadow snuck out to do its dastardly business. "I was wondering when you were going to show up." With that bold statement, Gary lunged at the shadow, knocking the gun from its hand! "Now let's find out who you really are, Ballagio scum!" It was none other than Tina Hooper (Umbra-Manis)! "Tina! I trusted you! I protected you!" Tina snarled back "That was your mistake!" Gary steadied the gun and levied it at Tina's head. "I'm going to finish this once and for all." "GARY! Put the gun down!" boomed the judge, emerging from the emergency elevator access hatch. "She's too dangerous to be left alive! I have to finish this!" "Gary... if you do you're no better than them. Give me the gun." Gary sighed and passed the gun to Judge Justuss. "Thank you Gary. You're making the right choice..." **bang** "...just not for you." "Nice work Tina. That's all of them. I'm afraid we don't have enough jurors for a trial anymore, but we can still get Sleaze out. I don't care either way, as long as I get my money. Our driver is bringing the car around, you go retrieve the boss. He's in block A113 on the ground floor." "And what are you going to do?" inquired Tina. "I've got a... surprise for our friend Anthony." There was just one small problem... Chief McCain had other plans. Dawn broke over a police barricade. "Come out with your hands up! We will shoot!" The judge emerged, a gun and detonator in his hands. "Evening gentlemen... let's not make this harder than it needs to be. I'm holding here a deadman's trigger. You kill me and you, me, my colleagues, your colleagues, what's rest of the jury, and this whole city block goes up in one big fireball." The Chief let loose an exasperated sigh and turned to his officers. "Guns down men. Let them go. I want a bomb squad and SWAT team sweeping the building ASAP." Anthony Dodson (Actor Builder) was one such hostage. As a matter of fact, he was the only hostage. "Last time I was chained up to a box of explosives, it was by a group of scantily-clad Caribbean women on the island of Guetamala... I think I preferred that to a crusty old judge, but hey, I'll take what I can get." Back down at street-level, the Ballagio's driver arrived - Jared Hartman (Kwatchi)! "Get in losers, we're running from the law!" "Right on time Jared. Thank you for indulging my sense of humor, Chief. I'm sure we'll meet again." "This isn't over!" yelled the Chief through gritted teeth. "Well of course not. We're only just beginning!" Congratulations to the winners, the Ballagio Crime Family, consisting of Umbra-Manis and Kwatchi! Huge thanks to everyone for playing, I had a blast hosting. Full roles, actions, thoughts, and player analysis to follow.

  3. DAY 6 The jury deliberated long and hard, finally deciding it was time for Stephanie Diaz (Lady K) to face the music. The police led her away in chains. "Good riddance" muttered Tony (jluck). Night time fell, and the citizens went about their normal routines... Anthony Dodson (Actor Builder) chased down the bus after leaving his pants there for the third time this week... ...while Gary Johnson (Kintober) went pickaxe shopping. "Welp, I guess this pickaxe is as good as the next..." Finally, the sun rose on the bedraggled jurors occupying the courthouse. "Just five of y'all left... Stephanie Diaz (Lady K) was another member of the Town. I think we're at a tipping point, and there's still a chance, however slim, to stop Sleaze from throwing this trial. Please don't screw it up again." 4. DAY 5 The jury was in, and Amanda Callahan (Khscarymovie4) was out. Chief McCain briskly took her away for questioning. Night found Brock Martin (Tariq j) sitting quietly on a bench, wondering who to interview for the next segment on his show. "You can interview me!" said a dark figure, appearing suddenly to Brock's side. "Really?" "No, you can't! I hate paparazzi!" With that, a muffled gunshot silenced the legendary voice of radio forever. Downtown, Clifford Schauer (LegoMonorailFan) was making his last delivery of the day, and of his life, though he didn't know it yet. "Damn! This box is heavy!" He rapped loudly on the door to rouse whatever sleeping soul lay within. Instead of a kindly old lady or disgruntled deliveryman, Clifford got a shotgun in the face. "This will teach you for not keeping your nose out of other people's business!" Clifford's body tumbled over the railings, and the sand around him slowly turned red as a grim reminder not to cross the crime families of Brickton, Brickslyvania. The sun rose, and Judge Justuss addressed the six remaining members of the jury. "Morning fellas. I have some good news and some bad news. The good news first: there's few enough of you left that we can move from the sidewalk to the conference room. That's neat, and should stop my arthritis from flaring up. Oh, and Brock was another member of the Moletti Crime Family. Unfortunately, Amanda and Clifford were both Innocent Townsfolk. I can't help but notice we still haven't caught any of Sleaze's crew - the Ballagios. Please do better today, I fear we may be fast running out of time." Host (1) Neil Justuss, played by mediumsnowman - Judge, Jury and Executioner NPC's (2) Chase McCain, NPC - Police Chief Sleaze Ballagio, NPC - Crime Boss Jurors (6) Gary Johnson, played by Kintober - Mine Foreman Jared Hartman, played by Kwatchi - Software Developer Stephanie Diaz, played by Lady K - College Student Tina Hooper, played by Umbra-Manis - Receptionist Tony, played by jluck - Chef Anthony Dodson, played by Actor Builder - Athlete Dismissed (8) Cathy Bridger, played by Drunknok - Fell ill day 1, replaced by Jimmy Hessler (Steamdemon) - Alignment Unknown Jimmy Hessler, played by Steamdemon - Committed suicide Day 2, replaced by Anthony Dodson (Actor Builder) - Alignment Unknown Alan Andrews, played by KotZ - Killed Night 2 - Moletti Crime Family Harry Oldman, played by fhomess - Killed Night 2 - Innocent Townsfolk Dez Hunter, played by Forresto - Lynched Day 3 - Innocent Townsfolk Amanda Callahan, played by Khscarymovie4 - Lynched Day 4 - Innocent Townsfolk Brock Martin, played by Tariq j - Killed Night 4 - Moletti Crime Family Clifford Schauer, played by LegoMonorailFan - Killed Night 4 - Innocent Townsfolk Rules: 1. 5. DAY 4 "I swear I'm being framed! You have to believe me! It was Amanda-!" "Tell it to the judge!" Night came and went peacefully, and the sun rose on nine jurors. "I regret to inform you the chief and I were unable to get anything useful out of Dez. He was a loyal member of the Town. Please try and do better today." Host (1) Neil Justuss, played by mediumsnowman - Judge, Jury and Executioner NPC's (2) Chase McCain, NPC - Police Chief Sleaze Ballagio, NPC - Crime Boss Jurors (9) Amanda Callahan, played by Khscarymovie4 - Cheerleader Brock Martin, played by Tariq j - Radio Host Clifford Schauer, played by LegoMonorailFan - Mailman Gary Johnson, played by Kintober - Mine Foreman Jared Hartman, played by Kwatchi - Software Developer Stephanie Diaz, played by Lady K - College Student Tina Hooper, played by Umbra-Manis - Receptionist Tony, played by jluck - Chef Anthony Dodson, played by Actor Builder - Athlete Dismissed (5) Cathy Bridger, played by Drunknok - Fell ill day 1, replaced by Jimmy Hessler (Steamdemon) - Alignment Unknown Jimmy Hessler, played by Steamdemon - Committed suicide Day 2, replaced by Anthony Dodson (Actor Builder) - Alignment Unknown Alan Andrews, played by KotZ - Killed Night 2 - Moletti Crime Family Harry Oldman, played by fhomess - Killed Night 2 - Innocent Townsfolk Dez Hunter, played by Forresto - Lynched Day 3 - Innocent Townsfolk Rules: 1. 6. DAY 3 Dusk fell as Alan Andrews (KotZ) returned from a long day of deliberation in the courthouse. "I hope this trial gets over soon so I can get back to my trees... I love trees. They're really the only ones that understand me." He was approached by a dark figure. "What can I do for you, stranger?" The shadow replied only with a blast from his shotgun. The shadow smiled grimly as Alan slumped forward. "Sorry Alan, but it looks like you've chopped your last tree." Elsewhere, Harry Oldman (fhomess) looked for somewhere to refill his dwindling supply of booze. "Dez said his shop should be somewhere around here..." A dark figure emerged from an alleyway, and Harry turned to face him. "You know where I can find Mr. Hunter's legitimate storefront enterprise? I've been looking every-" He was interrupted with a shotgun shell that narrowly missed him, shattering his bottle instead. "Hey-!" The second shot found its mark, bringing the story of the grizzled vet to a grizzly end as his blood mixed with shards of broken glass on the cold sidewalk. Morning came and the judge addressed the remaining jurors. "Gentlemen and women of the jury, I have some terrible news. Two of our own, Mr. Oldman and Mr. Andrews, were found dead last night. The police are investigating their deaths as homicides, and urge anyone with information to come forward. A thorough examination of their bodies has lent us some important information, however - Mr. Oldman was a loyal member of the Town. Even more troubling is our results on Mr. Andrews. He was affiliated with neither the town nor Sleaze's crew, but rather their rival the Moletti Crime Family. Make of that what you will, but it may have serious repercussions for the rest of our trial. Please, bring the chief and I whatever monster is responsible for the deaths of these men. You are dismissed." Host (1) Neil Justuss, played by mediumsnowman - Judge, Jury and Executioner NPC's (2) Chase McCain, NPC - Police Chief Sleaze Ballagio, NPC - Crime Boss Jurors (10) Amanda Callahan, played by Khscarymovie4 - Cheerleader Brock Martin, played by Tariq j - Radio Host Clifford Schauer, played by LegoMonorailFan - Mailman Dez Hunter, played by Forresto - Businessman Gary Johnson, played by Kintober - Mine Foreman Jared Hartman, played by Kwatchi - Software Developer Stephanie Diaz, played by Lady K - College Student Tina Hooper, played by Umbra-Manis - Receptionist Tony, played by jluck - Chef Anthony Dodson, played by Actor Builder - Athlete Dismissed (4) Cathy Bridger, played by Drunknok - Fell ill day 1, replaced by Jimmy Hessler (Steamdemon) - Alignment Unknown Jimmy Hessler, played by Steamdemon - Committed suicide Day 2, replaced by Anthony Dodson (Actor Builder) - Alignment Unknown Alan Andrews, played by KotZ - Killed Night 2 - Moletti Crime Family Harry Oldman, played by fhomess - Killed Night 2 - Innocent Townsfolk Note: For failing to post in thread or place a vote yesterday, Tina Hooper (Umbra-Manis) will receive 3x penalty votes when voting opens. 7. DAY 2 A dark figure crept silently over the rooftops, as if up to some nefarious deed... But it was just Amanda Callahan (Khscarymovie4) practicing her new cheer routine. "OH EMMM GEEEEE absolutely cannot wait to put this on my Instasnapfacegramchaterbook! The girls are gonna LOVE IT!" Elsewhere, Tony (jluck) ran across an abandoned hotdog cart on his evening stroll. "Well, can't let this go to waste!" *munch* Morning dawned on... eleven jurors. "Hey, where's Cathy?" asked Jared Hartman (Kwatchi). "Who am I going to play BotBS with now...?" Judge Justuss spoke up. "Unfortunately, Cathy fell ill yesterday and has requested to be dismissed from the jury. Jimmy Hessler (Steamdemon), the construction worker, will be taking her place. So make him feel welcome. Or don't. He'll probably get killed off soon anyways. Other than that, not much to report. Quiet night. So, do your thing, maybe turn someone over to the Chief and I to question today. I've been itching to do some... uh... interrogating. Let's call it that." 8. DAY 1 In the dusty city of Brickton, Bricksylvania, a nervous crowd had gathered outside the town hall. They yelled annoying things, like "When are you going to let us in!" and "Let's get this trial over with!" Finally, the majestic judge Neil Justuss stepped out of the building. "Gentlemen and women of the jury. I have some bad news. I believe our trial has been... compromised, and even now members of the Ballagio crime family walk among you." *collective gasp* "I know, I know, it's terrible. The obvious course of action would be to simply dismiss all of you and select a new jury, but Chief McCain here has a better idea. He suggested to me we let you vote off one person each day, and the Chief and I will haul them away to jail for questionably legal interrogation in order to root out the members of the mafia and preserve the integrity of this court. We know they are among us, and we can't let this chance to crack down on organized crime slip away. Good luck." 9. BREAKING NEWS: Notorious crime boss Sleaze Ballagio has been arrested for money laundering. The trial is fast approaching, but Judge Neil Justuss is justifiably worried that the jury selection process has been rigged! Members of the Bellagio crime family have infiltrated the jury, and are working even now to throw the trial in their favor. Will the townsfolk be able to identify the biased jury members among them before Sleaze walks free? Welcome back to Eurobricks mafia! It's been too long. To sign up, please answer the following questions: 1) Have you played Mafia on Eurobricks before more than once? 2) Will you be active and available (ie don't sign up if you're planning a three-week hike in the Swiss Alps with no internet access!) for the next 4-6 weeks? 3) On a scale on 1 to 12, how mad will you be if the game makes no attempt to follow "proper" courtroom procedure? Signups will run for a little bit after we get 12 players. If more than 12 sign up (which would be great, means more people are interested in more games) players with at least one game under their belt will be prioritized over brand-new players, since this isn't a School. Any issues after that will be decided by lottery. So... signup! Tell your friends! Tell your enemies! Tell your second cousins, Eurobricks Mafia is back on the menu! I promise you it will be at least moderately interesting.
  10. Part I: "Protecting her Majesty's Honour" Part II: *Link to be added later* Part III: "In her Majesty's Diplomatic Service" Montoya had gotten the dubious honour of delivering her Royal Majesty's response (not exactly soothed by the letters from the privateering captain) to the Carnite actions. As he arrived in the capital of Carno he was lead not the Royal Palace, but to the foreign office, where he was presented before an investigative jury. "Gentlemen, surely this must be a misunderstanding." Montoya said, after presenting himself. "There is nothing to investigate." "We assert no such conclusions, sir. You will present your case before this investigative jury, and we will decide where to take this issue" a man in fine crimson garments interjected, obviously the president of the jury. A juror dressed as a sailor chimed in. "And who is to say you did not fire the first shot?" "Why, your very own Captain Whoknowswho, my good sir, in his very public letters to my Queen." Montoya looked round at the shocked jury. "However, that skirmish was but a symptom of the wicked character of your foreign policy!" Pausing dramatically for a second continuing: "Your government has been issuing letters of Marque against Corlander shipping, a very harsh breach of the peace." A third juror threw his hands in the air, "There is no proof of this - and who is to say our ships were not threatened by your warships?" "Or pulled into an attack by a clever ruse" the last member of the jury shouted, spewing spittle, their contempt growing very obvious. Montoya took half a step back, wiped a speck of spit off his coat with an arched brow. "But sirs, you entirely misunderstand the situation. Corrington is not looking to negotiate but present you with our demands. Return the HMS Bullshark and its crew, cease all aggression against our shipping, and commit to pensions for those who lost their fathers and husbands in the battle, and we will consider this case closed." Montoya said in a firm voice, before furrowing his brow, "… should you fail to do so…" he looked to Cooke, who was obviously straining to keep his temper under control, before continuing "we are forced to consider the attack an act of war." The jury was taken aback, and Cooke observed with pleasure their surprise. It seemed the Carnites had hoped to push Corrington to strike a bargain, but now realised their mistake. ____________________ A sligthly higher angle to better show the interior. While a bit low on tiles and similar detailing bricks, I liked how this turned out. I had not expected those bows to work on both sides as well as they did, and I am certain to revisit the use of those. Good luck to all contestants - We shall see who made the best case.
